Just bought this printer yesterday! I downloaded the software and did the automatic installation all was fine until it tried to connect to my network "internet"but it didnt find mine,  it founf a lot of networks but not mine. I tried to put in the name manually but still can't find it. Its really frustating Im thinking in returning and buying something else but I thought maybe you could help.Help please thanks Rosa

Are you able to find the network on other devices?
You might have to login to the router page and check the SSID.
You can login to the router page by following the steps mentioned below:
1. Press 'Windows + R' on Windows computer, and type in cmd
2. In the Command prompt box, type in 'ipconfig' without the quotes and press enter.
3. Make a note of the default gateway.
4. Open a browser window (Internet explorer or firefox) and type in http://<default gateway > and press enter.
5. Login to the router page, and go to the wireless section.
6. Check the 'SSID'.
7. This is the network name that should show up on the printer when you search for a network from the printer. If you're able to access the network from other devices, and it doesn't show up on the printer, try manually putting in the SSID on the printer and see if that helps.

  • Since I updated to my new 1TB Time Capsule, my HP printer can't find my network

I have an HP Officejet Pro 8600. I had no trouble connecting it to my network on my old Time Capsule. Since updating to my new 1TB Time Capsule, my printer can't find my network.
Any ideas on what's the problem here??  Sure would like to be able to print off my iPad like I used to be able to do...
    Thanks in advance...cheryl

I am a bit confused.. the new TC is 2TB or 3TB disk .. there is no 1TB model sold..
If your printer is setup by wireless you will need to redo the setup from scratch.
I am not sure how you are running it.. but if you are using airprint from ipad then it has to be wireless. Then I strongly recommend you redo the setup of the TC to have short wireless name.. eg TCwifi and then setup the printer via WPS in the airport utility.

  • Photosmart b209a can't find wireless network.

I've only had this printer for three days. The "Easy One Button" process to get it to find a network failed. It cannot find my wireless network.
I'm using XP Professional on my laptop. McAfee Virus scanning and Firewall. (Not that it matters if the printer can't find the wireless network)
I have a DSL D-link router with NO MAC filtering and yet when I print the Wireless Network Test Report it gives me this whole spiel on MAC address filtering and asks to add the MAC address of the printer to the router... but there's no offered solution if MAC filtering is turned off.
I've changed my router security key from WEP to WPA-PSK.
I've managed to get it to connect twice... and to print a test page on separate days. I have no idea what it is I do that gets it 'online' but it doesn't seem to last.
I have spent several hours over the past three days (wasting entire days) trying to work out what the problem is. I have read forum posts; I have googled for solutions. The troubleshooting guide for the printer seems hopeless.
The printer is on the same desk as the router with only a computer monitor between them.
When I print the HP Network Configuration Page it states the status of the 802.11 Wireless is "Disconnected". The printer's wireless light is on, showing that the wireless radio is working on the printer.
I bought HP because my last printer was HP and it was excellent (but not wireless). If I can't get it to go online, seriously, I'll take it back and exchange it for a different brand of printer. All I want is a printer I can print to wirelessly, is that so hard to ask? Yes, I'm getting really frustrated here. I live in a rural area and I don't have access to geek friends or a computer professional or anything like that and returning the printer requires a two hour drive so I have to be as self-sufficient as possible. Please, try not to use too many technical terms. I can understand some but not all and if anybody can help me, please be clear in their instructions (ie, don't just say 'go to setup blah blah blah' without saying which setup you're talking about.)
Thanks for any help. It is appreciated.

Yes, the desktop is connected to the router with an Ethernet cable.
    Yes the laptop is wireless.
The printer is connected to the router via wireless (which I've already stated, it keeps losing the wireless network).
If I don't have my printer connected to the desktop via cable, then I won't have any printing capability at all, because, as I just said, the printer keeps losing the wireless network! I need at least some way of printing when the printer can't find the network (even though the wireless network is working perfectly fine).
So, desktop connected to router with cable.
    Laptop is wireless
Printer is wireless for laptop use (but it keeps losing the network and therefore is totally useless in that respect)
Printer is connected to desktop via cable to enable printing because of wireless continuing to lose connection to wireless network.
In fact my printer hasn't been able to connect to the wireless network for 2 days now... even though I'm currently connected to it on my wireless laptop.
Sometimes the printer finds the network, sometimes it doesn't and when it does, if I try to print from the laptop wirelessly, the printer loses the network.
This really is poor product and the installation manual might as well be used for toilet paper for all its worth, same with the 'help' feature on the disk. I only chose HP because I was familiar with it, since my previous printer was HP and reliable (but not wireless). I'm seriously wishing I'd purchased a different brand.
I'm not an IT tech, but I've managed to be able to connect modems and routers and other peripherals to my network without too much hassle at all... until now.
I'm sorry if I sound angry but this is completely frustrating. I spent good money for a product that I am unable to use for the main purpose I bought it! I'm reduced to saving things to USB sticks and physically taking them to the desktop computer and having to print from there.

  • HP 8500A wireless printer can't find my wireless network (but my computer does) using DLink DIR 615.

HP 8500A Wireless All In One has been working fine for ages (minor occasional hickups), but now can't get it to print.  Computer still picks up my wirelss network fine.  Printer works on all other stand alone pieces.  But, one day it stopped printing, so checked wireless signal.  Tried all steps and reports (have done that once in past a year ago and reset fine), but still get error saying it "can't find my network"... • HP Officejet 6100 (h611a) ePrinter can't find wirless network

My HP Officejet 6100 ePrinter recently lost it's eprint connection and wouldn't reconnect.  I asked for help and was told to
try using a manual IP address.  I tried this using the instructions supplied to me for the manual IP address, Subnet mask, and so on.  I then selected apply.
The printer rebooted and now the printer can't find or won't connect to my
    wireless network.
I've tried powering down the printer, modem and router so that they would reset, but the printer still wouldn't find or connect to the wireless network.  The little blue light on the printer for the wireless connection just continues to blink.
Since it won't connect to the wireless network i can't go back into the embedded web server to undo the manual IP address and other changes.
Is there any way I can reset this?  Or get my printer to connect to the wireless network.

  • My iphone 4 can't find a network

I bought my iphone 4 in Ny and brought to Brazil. It was working fine till last Friday. It can't find a network anymore. It says on the upper left corner "no service" instead of showing the carrier name and its signal. I tried to contact my carrier but it seems to be everything fine, I even tried de microchip on my Ipad and it worked perfectly, so it should be a proclem with the phone.
I tried to reset the device, but nothing seems to work.
Anyone could help me on this, please!!!
    (excuse my lousy english, please!)

    1. Try doing a hard reset:
Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/wake button simultaneously for about 15 seconds and release when the Apple logo appears.
    2. If that doesn't work, use this article for troubleshooting: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1398
    3. If that doesn't solve the issue, backup the device and restore it as new.
    In that case, use: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137
NB: set up as a NEW device because a software issue will be in the backup. If the issue persists after restoring as new, you should offer the device for service.
If you get specific error messages/codes in iTunes when updating/restoring, check this: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3694 for causes and solutions
If you restore your iPhone to factory settings without a backup and still can't detect/connect to any network, you should offer the device for service.
    Good luck

  • PDF printer can't find distiller

    Hello all,
I am having a PDF printing issue on one machine. I am getting the error "PDF printer can't find distiller" although it is grayed-out in the Adobe Acrobat folder. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat 9 twice.

Frederick - you most likely have a previous version of Acrobat or Distiller on your computer. You need to find these leftovers and delete them. It seems that Adobe PDF Printer is confused by these leftovers. Good Luck!

I updated my 4S phone to IOS 7.1.2 and lost my wi-fi.   The wi-fi is on, but can't find ANY networks.   I have been through all the steps, from turning the phone on and off, resetting the network settings, resetting the whole phone, redownloading 7.1.2 and lastly going to the Apple store for help.   They tried all the exact same steps I did, took the phone apart and looked at and said it is in "pristine" condition.   They have no idea why it isn't working, but they could offer to sell me another phone.    This is extremely annoying!    They claim it has nothing to do with the update to 7.1.2, but that is when I lost the wi-fi, so it has to be related!

My 4s i-phone which is 2 years old cannot find any wi-fi networks not even my home network... I had the same problem two months ago but i turned off the i-phone for 8 hours and then it was okay... Now it happened again.... I tried to restart the modem but whilst my laptop is connected regularly, my phone still cannot find any wi-fi networks... I restart the i-phone, i reset it, i chose reset network settings, reset all settings, i turned it off for a whole day in case it was overloaded, i turned on the airplane mode and turned it off again, i put it into the freezer for 10 minutes within a zipped bag but 3 days now and i still cannot be connected to my home wifi... I went to the technician today and he told me that it means that wi-fi is broken and that i need to change it with a charge of 70 euro but i have to give my phone for 10 working days so as to be fixed... I am so frustrated and i don't know if i want to give 70 euro for wifi since i don't know if it would make the same problems again...

  • My HP Photosmart C309a series printer can't find the wireless router 3 feet above it.

My HP Photosmart C309a series printer can't find the wireless router 3 feet above it.  I ran the diagnostics and got "The wireless radio is not functioning" message.  In what device is the wireless radio located?  In the router? In the printer?  I reset the router, did the #6 with the printer, but I am still unable to connect my wireless Macbook to the printer.  My desktop Mac is connected to the printer with a cable and prints fine.  Is my router messed up or my printer?

Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
    Restart your router.

  • IPhone 4s can't find cellular network.  iPad logged right on. Tried soft reset and two button reset, neither worked. In Detroit airport any ideas?

Iphone 4s can't find cellular network in Detroit airport. iPad logged right on. Tried reset network and hard boot and airplane off on. No luck. Any ideas?

So, I can see that nobody had any ideas.  In case anyone is interested, I did cave and get an Airport Extreme.  My iPhone 4s connected in about 3 seconds, as did my MacBook, my iMac and my old 3G phone.  The router is in the EXACT SAME SPOT as my Netgear router.  No reception problems, no dropping wifi.
The Sony Blu-Ray connected on the second attempt, but the TiVos are another story.  Reset my N-adapters to factory default and then did setup, found the network just fine assured me that my wifi was configured to the new router, but the TiVos refuse to connect.  It's always something! lol  I'm sure somebody can tell me how to fix this.
