Printer connected to Airport will not work after update

I recently updated my airport express firmware to the 7.6.1. The printer was working just fine before I did this. It is connected to the airport base station via USB. The error message is " USB write error: Unable to send 1024 bytes of data"
As I said before everything was fine until I updated the firmware. Any suggestions? What can I do?

Suggest that you try the following:
Open System Preferences (gear icon on the dock)
Open Print & Scan
Click on the installed printer to highlight it
Click the -- (minus) button at the bottom of the list to delete the device
Close the Print and Scan box
Power down and restart your Mac
Make sure that the printer is plugged into the USB port and powered up
Open Sysem Preferences
Open Print & Scan
Click the + (plus) button at the bottom of the printer list area
Hopefully, your printer family will appear in the next window that opens
If yes, click the printer name to highlight it
Click Add
Try to print. Be sure to select the correct printer since it may also be installed on your Mac.
Power down and retart the printer if needed
Report on your results

Printer will not work after update to Mavericks

I have a macbook pro and an HP7280 printer connected wirelessly. After upgrading to Mavericks the printer will not work. The first time I used it the system upgraded automatically (I forget what it said but it just went ahead and did some upgrading) When I clicked on something to print it did recognized the printer but just scrolled and scrolled and never printed. So I deleted the printer and reset the system and then added the printer back on - same thing. Any ideas??

It means there is no issue with the driver you are using and with it working correctly on Mavericks. So you have a network issue with the printer queue you are using. Normally a reset of the printing system and re-adding the printer would be enough to get things working again. But since you have done this and your issue is not resolved, there must be some other gremlins in the system.
With the HP connected to the network, if you know its IP address you can enter this as a URL into a web browser. This should result in you connecting to the internal web page of the HP. Does this work?

That's a bunch of hogwash. My 4S is running iOS 6 and works with all my external speakers, both at home and at work.

Airport Express not working after update

I can no longer connect to my network through my Airport Express.
This afternoon I started up the software updated program in my MacBook Air and through my fully functioning network a whole bunch of updates were downloaded and installed.
But when everything was done I could no longer connect to my network through my Airport Express!
Unfortunately I didn't really notice what kind of updates I was installing.
There were seven in total. I think one was a firmware for my MacBook Air.
I also think there was one for my Airport Express because the last update was about it somehow and it needed to close down the network in order to finish the update. But when it was supposed to reconnect nothing worked.
I've turned off my modem, my airport express and my air but there's been no improvement.
My Win PC can't access the network any more either.
I've also tried to put the network cable straight in my PC and it works fine, so there's nothing wrong with the modem or the cable.
It must be my Airport Express...
The Airport Utility program can't find my Airport Express.
I can find other networks in the area but not my own.
What to do?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Connect macpro to hub/wireless router via ethernet, my airport express base station connected wirelessly and plugged into stereo jack.
Worked fine managed the base station through macpro always automatically saw it.
Updated to 10.6.8 and computer cannot see it, only sees it if i turn on the airport on macpro but i dont want to do this (even then is not working correctly itunes doesn't see it only Airport utility).
Wt is going on?? Cant think why this has changed?
Any way of returning back to the previous state easily? This update *****!

See if installing the XP audio driver works...
Download and run this driver. If it automatically installs the audio, great. If not...close out of any error windows.

Go to the device manager and click on the multimedia audio controller needing drivers.
Click on the driver tab. Click on update driver. Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and at the bottom of that window, select the Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
The select Have Disk and browse to: C:\SWSetup\sp33443\CPL30A5a and select the Conexant High Definition Audio from the list and see if the driver installs.
Then reboot.

EOS Utility will not work after update - 70D and Windows 8.1

I hope someone can help. I updated my EOS Utility on July 20, 2015, and switched to EOS Utility 2, incl. the updater (an add-on installation on the Canon site). After that, nothing happens when I connect the camera and try to open EOS Utility. I can hear (jingle) that the computer still recognizes the camera. Around that day, my computer also installed a Windows update. I have unistalled EOS and reinstalled it, both with and without the updater. Still nothing happens. Has anyone else had the same issue? On another forum, disabling wifi seemed to work, but I checked that wifi is already disabled (even by enabling and re-disabling it). Any ideas are gratefully accepted. Thank you.

You would be much better off to add an exception for the software you're getting a flase positive on, than to disable AVG. You can do this within AVG by looking for "Exceptions" under the "Advanced Settings" dialog (found in the Options menu). This is not uncommon and it just means there's some byte pattern in your file that is similar to a known virus. If you disable AVG you're opening yourself up to attacks while it's off. By adding an exception AVG will just ignore that file, and since you know it's OK, that's safe.

Airport express not working after updating to 7.6.3

Hi all,
I bought my airport express about 6 months ago. It's been working perfectly. Then this morning, I woke up to the blinking amber lights, not good.
I restarted the modem, and checked the connection (by hooking up my mbp directly to the modem) and everything is fine. I plugged in the ethernet cable to airport express, powered down then up, no luck. Airport utility popped up (on my mbp) asking me to update firmware to 7.6.3 (I had 7.6.2). So I reconnected my mbp to the modem and updated the firmware, connected the ethernet cable back to airport express, powered down/up, still no luck. I grew desperate and did a hard reset, still nothing!
I am not sure what happened here, or if anything had changed, since it was working fine as I went to bed last night.
anyone else seen this before? i checked with Apple, it seems that my airport express is out of the free-repair period.

Worked on it some more and finally realized that I've plug the ethernet cable in the LAN port instead of WAN port. So, internet is back. Still don't know what happened (when it died), but owell.

HT4528 iphonwe will not work after updating it

My iphone os4 gave me an update notice. When I did the update it froze and all I can get is a picture of a usb cable and the itunes logo. I have tried to troubleshoot it many times and just before it finishes it says it cannot find the device. I have updated itunes on my computer but it didn't make any difference.

I had a similar problem after up-dating earlier last week. I lost all tracks on my 20g iPod and my computer wouldn't recognise the iPod. My computer guy came in today and took 3 hours to fix it. He tried re-installing the iPod software to no avail then the iTunes software also no good. After going into My Computer and clicking iPod he then clicked "Bootex" which said that there were "unrecoverable errors" on the hard disk in the iPod. He then "stripped" (as he put it) the iPod out, reinstalled everything and all is now OK. I am not computer literate but hope that this helps you.

Telephone will not work after installing fax wizard

I have a new HP Office Pro 8615. After I installed the fax wizard, my telephone quit receiving or sending calls. The only incoming call will ring on the fax. Can I uninstall the fax, as I do not need it?

The same story. No 3G after updating to 6.1. Told my daughter temporarily not to do an update on her iPad with 6.01. We've exchanged SIMs. I inserted her SIM in my iPad - 3G appeared immediately. And my SIM in her iPad with ios 6.01 also WORKS FINE. We use the same provider - Megafon Moscow. After attempting to revert SIMs to original configuration, 3G disappeared on my iPad again. Don't know what's going on with SIM during the update to 6.1

Print size in Photoshop CC does not work after updating

Print size in Photoshop CC does not work after updating, it was working fine before but now when I click to go to print size either from the menu of right chicking when the hand tool is selected, the image just zooms right out until it is a tiny little box in the centre of the screen, no good what so ever, as I say it was working fine before the update.
I am using window 7 with 8 gb of ram and an I7 with a 1GB graphics card.
Can anyone help please?

Check the Image>Image Size and see what the print size is supposed to to be for the open document.
Also, resetting the photoshop cc preferences might fix it.

Photoshop CS5 - colour settings in Print menu not working after update Mac OSX maverick

After upgrading to Maverick OSX on the iMac printing from CS5 via Epson R3880 is not working correctly. In Print Settings menu the drop downs for Colour and Colour Settings are greyed out. I already re-installed PS and installed the new drivers from epson. Any ideas?

but after choosing PS manages color, the options in the print menu for choosing color (color or b&W) and color settings are not available anymore. They used to be the last three years I printed with photoshop/epson 3880.
Instead they are greyed out now.

If Photoshop managed color, then the controls in the printer driver are supposed to be grayed out - that's how Apple specifies drivers to work (because only one party should be managing the print color).
So what you're describing is perfectly normal.
