Printer Dialog does not display in windows x64

Hy everyone.
I have an applications in c# running in windows 2003 x64 bits, when show a report in ReportViewer and Click on Printer button, the printer dialog don't open.
My questio is what can ido to show the printer dialog ??

InDesign CS5 - Print Dialog does not load (windows).

I just installed InDesign CS5 and when I go to print a document, the print dialog does not come up. I only get an hourglass cursor. When I try to export to a PDF the resulting PDF is 0kb and obviously corrupt.
What do I do to fix this?

Don't have a clue about the print dialog, but you may be unaware that PDF export is now a background task and you may be trying to open the PDF before it's finished. To check the progress go to Window > Utilities > Background Tasks.
There are some reports of the background task stalling in certain cases. This is a bug, Adobe is aware of it, and a solution is in the works, but no definite inopfrmation on a release date for the fix is available. If you search the forum you'll find a couple of threads discussing it, including a link to a script to do the export inthe foreground if necessary.
For the print problem, you can try Replace Your Preferences, but I'm not hightly optimisitic that this is a prefs issue. It would help if you told us about the OS and your printer, and what language you installed. Have you updated to 7.0.2?

RH7 - Custom WebHelp Pro skin custom "Print" button does NOT display in version published to RH Server 8

I customized a WebHelp Pro skin using the Omega skin as the basis. Everything works fine except the Print button, which I added using the same Action as shown in the BeautifulVista skin's Print button.
Local Version (C: drive)
When I generate my help project and view it locally from my C: drive after I accept the warning about viewing locally, I see the Print button.
However, it does NOT work. I've attached a graphic that shows the local version and the skin dialog where I set up the action for the Print button.
RH Server 8 version
When I view the same project after I publish it to the server, the Print button does NOT display.
QUESTIONS ARE:
How do I get the Print button to function properly (active printer dialog)?
If it can't work until it is published that fine but then how do I get it display when I view from server?

Printed documentation does not display some images in PDF

Some of the images in my printed documentation do not display
in my PDF. The majority of the images display fine, but a few are
missing. There is a gap where the image is supposed to appear, but
no image displays.
Am using RoboHelp 6.0 for HTML

Do they appear in Word? What version of Word? Is it always
the same images? How much RAM do you have?

Print Dialog does NOT reset to defaults

ON my iMac in OSX 10.9.4, when you go to print the previous settings for number of copies to print are retained instead of resetting to 1. Therefore, if people are not watching this, extra copies get printed until you realize what is going on. Is there a way to reset the defaults and make them stick.

Yes, I discovered that somehow a preference got corrupt and by deleting apple.print prefs in the User Library, I was able to get the Print dialog to NOT stick on settings. Thanks for that tip

Oracle Database Express Edition 11g Release 2: Does not work in Windows x64

Hi
I download a year ago oracle 10g and installed in windows7/64bit.
Then I messed up my computer. So I had to reinstall from scratch.
oracle 10g seems to be not available anymore.
Now 11g is available. But it says does not work in x64.
Can somebody explain this?

Now 11g is available. But it says does not work in x64.Well, in fact, 10.2 XE wasn't certified for x64 either, not even for Linux x64...
11.2 XE has a Linux x86_64 release, and there has been an announcement that there'll be a x64 release for Windows as well, but it's not available (yet).
There have been a lot of reports that people got 11.2 XE work on x64 Windows machines as well, with a few tweaks at installation time and/or afterwards...
You'll find tons of posts on that topic when using forum search...
oracle 10g seems to be not available anymore.Right, the official downloads have been removed after all database 10.2 releases fell out of (regular) support.

Print dialog does not show DINA4 anymore?

Hey,
after upgrading to Lion, i can't print DINA4 (e.g. PDFs through Preview) anymore,
the only option in the dialog is US-Letter...
do I have to add a special language pack? is the printing driver (SAMSUNG CLP-315)
not ready for Lion yet?

When the print dialog opens (e.g. in preview) it chooses the default printer and only gives US-Letter as option.
When I then choose the other printer from the pulldown menu, I can choose from lots of different
paper formats...switching now back to the default printer I can choose A4...
This is reproducable: whenever I open up a new printing dialog with the CUPS network printer as default printer
I only have US-Letter in the menu...
wow bugtracking: feels like back in the days when we were using linux
I have the same setup and since my update to Lion I experience the problem you describe. The print dialog only offers "US letter" in the "Paper Size" drop down.
I also use the same work around as you to set the paper size to A4. I select a local printer to get a long list of different paper sizes to choose from. When I switch back to a printer connected to a CUPS printer server, the list is kept. This allows me to select A4. However, it also allows me to select paper sizes not provided by the currently selected printer.

Print dialog box not displaying correctly.

When I go to print, not all of my options are there and I can only exit the print screen by pressing esc. I am on windows 8 and just got the CC last week and installed my printers, but Illustrator is now working properly. Please see the attached screencap for what I am seeing. Thanks

Animation does not display in Windows OS

Have a fairly simple banner ad created in Mac OS. Previews fine locally. Previews fine in Safari on Mac as standalone file and dropped in to iframe on Wordpress page (just like a Nivo slider on same page. Also previews in Safari using IE user agent string. When viewed in any browser on Windows OS, no animation display; either as standalone or loaded into iframe. Possibly something simple: a CSS visbility? Some Windows security thing? Any advice appreciated.

Yes Gordon. I think I have the solution for you. Apparently you are walking from left to right past your computer screen at the exact same speed as the animation while you are viewing it. This makes the computer screen appear to be moving to the left and the animation seem to stand still. I suggest you either speed up or slow down the gate in your walk to offset this effect. Don't feel alone in this. It has happened enough in the past that they have finally given a technical term for it.... the GC2 Paralax Scrolling Effect.

L7600 printer driver does not install on Windows 8.1 HP Pavilion x2

I am trying to install the full package on my laptop. I get to the point where it is trying to execute something in this folder-
C:\Users\Winston\AppData\Local\Temp\7zS0EB0\setup\devicediscovery and I get an error message above.

That may happen due to any 3rd party software which may block the software, as well due to a system issue as it happen in an early step of the software installation.
It is hard to say an exact cause as it may vary.
Try running a scrubber tool to remove any instance of the software.
Follow this tool by running Uninstall_L3.bat, follow the steps on screen and reboot your PC when required:

Next click both the windows logo and the R keys of your keyboard.
Type %temp% and press OK.
remove any content within this temporary folder (No worries, it is all a temporary content and can be deleted safely.

Firefox does not display URL selection window.

About 30 minutes ago, I clicked on the update Firefox button (3.6.6) I clicked restart when the update was finished. The new Firefox page DOES NOT display a window to enter a URL address or any of my frequently accessed URLs that I choose from. I rebooted by laptop, but Firefox page still does not display a window to enter a URL or to choose from my frequently used site urls.

* If, on Windows, in Firefox 3.6 the menu bar is hidden then press and hold the Alt key down or press F10, that should make the "Menu Bar" appear

Photoshop window does not display unless connected to external monitor

I use a MBP connected it to an Apple Cinema Display used as an external monitor (not a dual display) when in my studio.
When I use Adobe Photoshop CS 5 without the monitor the image window does not display on the MBP. If I plug the external monitor in, the window is displayed correctly on the MBP. Photoshop is opening and "displaying" the image window offscreen. Nothing gets it back onscreen, except plugging in the external monitor.
I often use Photoshop away from my studio so this is a big problem. PShop is essentially unusable unless connected to an external monitor.
Is this a known issue?
Any workarounds?
Any ideas?
There is a previous discussion on this topic from January 2012, but it remains open and unanswered. Hoping there are some new ideas. Thanks for the help.

The MacOS still thinks the second display is available and valid -- so Photoshop puts the documents on the last used display and the OS doesn't give any errors.
Once the OS notices the change in display configuration, Photoshop should go back to the main display and force images and dialogs back to the main display.
Applications rely on the OS for the display configuration, and sometimes the OS gets confused or holds onto outdated configurations a bit too long...

RH7- Insert action does not display window to select the file.

I have a nightmare situation with RH7 with no clue to resolve. What are my options to fix this
I am having trouble with robohelp, selecting insert action does not display the pop up window. This prevents functions such as inserting images & files, importing files and creating hyperlinks to documents created in word, frame maker.
when I perform this action, the pop up window appears virtually but is not visible to make the selection and RH freezes.
I have to end the process or press esc to find some work around - so far none available
Please help.

Welcome to the community.
Have you recently gone from a dual monitor setup to a single monitor? When this happens, RH can sometimes keep tossing dialog boxes over where it thinks the second monitor is. I typically use a program called ForceWindowVisible (get it here) to push wandering dialogs back into view. Give that a try and see if it works. Hope this helps,

You're probably not going to like the answer: Welcome to HTML-based email, and web (browser- or mail-based) rendering incompatibilities and quirks.
Newer Microsoft Internet Explorer is (much) better than older releases, so see if a newer Windows client or a newer version of Outlook does better.
If you really want to see what's going on here, view the raw HTML that's getting generated, and see what Microsoft wants or uses or expects within Outlook, and send that.

ITunes 9 Home Sharing does not work on Windows 7 x64

iTunes 9 Home Sharing does not work on Windows 7 x64.
Getting the following error message:
Home sharing could not be activated because this computer is not authorized for the account "iTunes account." Please authorize this computer and try again.
This is a bug since my computer is authorized in iTunes and there is only 2 computer authorized for my iTunes account, so I have 3 more left till I should get this message.
I've just upgraded my iPhone to OS 3.1 using it this morning.
Please advise.

I am using Windows 7 x64.
I am running iTunes 9.0.2.25
I am running Mcafee.
I can see and play music from the iTunes installation on my Windows 7 machine, but I CANNOT access the library to copy songs from this computer to other computers on my network.
YES, I have enabled "Home Sharing" using my iTunes account. NO, I have not authorized more than 5 computers on this account.
I believe this to be a Windows 7 related issue, as Home Sharing worked as advertised when I was using Vista (before I upgraded to Windows 7).
I CAN set up Home Sharing on two other (host) computers in my home network and it works. These computers are XP and a MacBook Pro. I CANNOT access my Windows 7 machine x64 to COPY music from one autorized library to another. Please help!!!
P.S. - I have attempted to get this to work by turning OFF my McAfee firewall. Windows firewall is disabled.
