Printer doesn't pick up the paper

HP officejet 4610/4620     Serial number [Personal Information Removed]  purchased Dec 2, 2013 ,should still be under warranty.
Purchased online and delivered to Staples at Walla Walla, WA
I took it back to Staples and they told me the rollers weren't working so send it back to the factory.
I called  HP and talked with a man named Steve  case # [Personal Information Removed] in the tech services dept.    He wanted to guide me through a troubleshooting episode online but the printer was no longer connected and I don't know how to reconnect it.  Someone loaned me an older printer which I am still using.  Besides I am not literate enough to follow online directions.  I called my computer repair man and he said to insist that I be allowed to return the printer because Staples had already told me what was wrong.   
I called HP support again and a lady whose English was difficult for me to understand insisted that I had to send her a copy of my receipt which I have ( Staples Invoice #[Personal Information Removed])  By this time I was exhausted and in tears.  I couldn't even understand the lady's name let alone follow and directions.  
I feel I have done all that I am capable of doing except to ship this thing back but I don't know where to send it.  Neither of your support people would tell me that.    What are you willing to do to help me.  My email is [Personal Information Removed]

    The printer will not grab the photo paper when I attempt to print a picture.  It works just fine when printing other things, such as text from WORD or something from the internet.  Photo paper says "single sheet feed" on it, so I place one sheet in the tray.

    I'm very sure my printer is set cirrectly.
    Can't Firefox shrink to fit when I want to print a selected area of web pages?
    This has never occurred in IE.

    File >Page Setup -- check your margins, I have set size to 85% which is probably left over from some problem. Also check your printer that it is correctly set to the size of the paper.

    I can help you disable the duplex printing feature. I suggest resetting the printing system to delete all printer presets. I suspect something was saved at some point that is causing the printer to print 2 sided.

    Does your printer handle this automatically? If so you set that in the printer driver settings. If not, you have to print one side, then turn the sheet and print the other.
    It's very important when you ask a question like this one that you provide a full set of information including your version of InDesign, the operating system, and the printer make and model.

  • Tomcat doesn't pick up the changes to jsp files

    You can't do anything except speak in a different accent. Apple would have to add specific support for different accents in a future iOS update.

    Okay, this morning it happened again. I unplugged my iphone, surfed some pages fine. Five minutes later I woke it up again, tried to go to the app store. Nothing.
    Tried to surf some newspaper sites. Nothing. So I used an IP address rather than the www.blablabla.com address and it works.
    Confirmed. Some sort of cirumstances let the DNS service crash. Only IP addresses work. After a reboot (that's the only chance) it works again.
    Network reset, restore iOS, all other typical help steps, never cured it.
    That's a bug.

    I have checked for a paper jam or piece.  All is clear.  I cleaned the rollers front and back as instructed, still not working.  Now a skinny plastic piece fell out (like the inside of a pen) and I have no idea where that came from.  Can anyone help with this situation?

    Yes that is an older printer. Do you have the user manual? Should be on the software disc. If not go here to get the user manual:

  • I want the feeder on top to pick up the paper and does not work. Brand new printer.

    I have a new printer HP Office Pro 8610 and the paper on tope does not feed. It did for one or two times and stopped.  I did not buy a warranty. I expected the printer to work. Please help.

  • Since downloading Mtn.Lion my epson printer doesn't work correctly & the entire system seems to be slower plus my iMac now disconnects from my wifi every time the mac sleeps. Can anyone help me with these issues?

    I am having problems with my Imac (approx 1 yr old) every since I downloaded (from the App.Store) Mountain Lion.  I am a working mom with 3 toddlers.....I have very little time to work on the computer which I primarily use for photograhpy needs.  I am not computer savvy enough to figure out how to "fix" the new issues/problems and am frustrated.  I am hoping someone can help me........
    Issues just since downloading Mountain Lion:
    1)  My Epson R2400 printer is not printing properly.  It wouldnt print at all from CS5 the first 2 days.  Then just started printing.  The prints aren't nearly as good as they used to be.  I just installed Photoshop Elements 10 and have been able to print but the prints are just awful. I printed a test page and it was perfect.  I've triple checked the settings in the print dialogue box to ensure the correct paper is chosen, etc.  I've never let the printer manage the color before but it is the only option that gives a mediocre print at best.
         I've gone to Epson.com.   It says to update driver through Apple for Mtn. Lion.  According to my computer I have no updates.  Printer is connected via USB. Changed the ports, turned printer on & off.  Emailed epson & they said to reset the print queue, which I did.  Restarted the IMac Still no luck.  (The error message I got when trying to print from CS5 is "filter failed." But, as stated before it just started printing today as I was typing this.      
          I print out pics quite a bit and it seems the only time I have ever had problems is when I upgraded the OSX system. Why is that??  When I upgraded to 10.7 is when I first realized my print quality went down.
    2)  Now every time I "wake" up my computer it has become offline and has to go through the steps to reconnect to my wifi.  Never did that before Mtn.Lion.  I purchased the Airport Extreme Dec 2011.  My computer was always connected before the update.  Now I have to scroll down & pick my network & wait for it to connect before proceeding.   I double checked preferences and it is set up to check for updates automatically.  What is that about??
    3)  It just seems that my system overall is slower.  I love my mac but I am frustrated because I don't have the free time needed to do all this problem solving.  I just need it to work properly when I have a few minutes to work on a picture.  I imagine there are other issues, but these are the only  2 areas I've focused on since the upgrade.
    I've read different views/feedback on Mtn Lion but haven't come across the printer issue or the wifi connection issue.
    Can anyone direct me towards a solution? I really appreciate it!

    I just figured out the print quality issue for my wife with her new iMac and new printer.
    She replaced both at once and she couldn't understand why her Artisan 730 was lower quality then her Epson R280 when they had the same specs.
    Turns out the newer printer had the option to connect via wifi which we used during setup.
    The driver options are completely different depending on how you connect.
    Once I connected via USB the correct options were available and the print quality was better.
    Looking at the R2400 it dies not have wifi, but while researching the problem for my wife someone esle was having an issue updating to the latest printer driver.
    If you go into the print utility from the Printer and Scanner system preference and under the general tab you should have driver 5.5.
    One user had to delete the old printer driver before Software Update loaded the newer printer driver.

    On my MacBook Pro (w Snow Leopard) I always had to reconnect my wifi at home when it woke up. I upgraded my router from an old Netgear to a newer N D-Link and stopped having to do that.
    I would be surprised you would have that problem with an Airport Extreme, you might check to see if there is a firmware update for it.
