Printer driver in vista, where can i find it??

I have a hp psc 750 all in one printer. i have a wireless network. i just got a new labtop running vista. when i hook up my hp printer directly to the labtop running vista, it uses a basic driver to run that printer. if i take the printer and use it in my network, this one is actually wired printer connected to my desktop, when i am on my labtop and go to install a network printer, that hp 750, it cant find it so then i go to browse for it thru the network. i find it ok but when i continue on, vista says it does not have the right driver would you like to search, i say yes. the problem is, i can not find the driver in windows vista?? where is it???? i know there is one basic driver that works that will at least let me print from my labtop if its directly connected. so now, where in windows vista is that driver at that works???? if i can find it when i am looking for the driver when i am setting it up thru the network, then it will work right?
its the same driver that vista used to print to it when it was directly connected to the labtop. the question is where in the c drive is this driver so i can select it when i want to set it up to print thru the network??
can anyone help me??

Printer Setup Utility is not used any more. You should use the Print & Fax Prefs in System Preferences for the functionality that was in Printer Setup Utility.

You can go strait to SL, all you need is a retail SL DVD available from Apple for $20. The US online store has them at:

Actually the best place is the web site for the printer. You'll also need the model, but there are still some OS9 drivers out there.

It turned out that WD is the big bad guy in this game.
According the data rescue company where I asked for an inspection, both of the drives had their reader head loose. And in the one, which was my already-in-use disk its even damaged the platters... xxxxx
So its time to pay bunch of money to recover, and take a walk to wd service to bang on the desk.
Also note - it may be somehow related to intellispeed technology - since macs not really friendly with wd-s built-in solutions.
On the other hand, with WD GP 1Tb there is no problems at all for ages.

There is no download for the software. The factory software that you are looking for is called ilife. It is all of the software that would have came preinstalled with your mac on your original hard drive when you first bought it. You will have to get new software on your computer. This might actually be a great opurtunity to upgrade to Lions. Search the Lions software in the mac store and it will come up. Click add to cart and check out. The price for it is $20. I defientely recomend Lions, it has alot of new great features. Then wate for the install disk to come in the mail. when it come just pop it in and follow the step by step instructions. If you dont want to upgrade to lions however you can download the ilife package from apple.com for a small price. Hope this helps.

I have a December 2006 MacBook Pro that I upgraded RAM and hard drives (twice) from OWC. After having Apple replace the display and the motherboard (again twice) I've been having boot problems. My local Genius Bar told me to replace the RAM with my original RAM and see if it solves the problem.
Well, it seems to solve it, but my internal HD shows up as "Failing" in disk utility. I cleaned off my original 120GB HD and installed the OS (Snow Leopard) and whenever it's plugged into firewire, the system will boot automatically to it rather than the internal drive.
There's an Apple logo on the original drive, so there's something about it that the Mac likes. There seems to be something to the "official" Apple hardware deal.
My problem is that the Apple Store doesn't seem to sell either internal drives for notebooks or memory for MacBook Pros as old as mine.
I can take it back to the Genius Bar to find out if they can sell me the right stuff without having to install it themselves, but I'd much rather do it myself, so I don't have to let go of my computer, which I use every day.
Any thoughts? Apparently I can't trust the hardware that OWC sells. Does this make any sense?

It looks like Agilent/HP makes the 8990A, but I was not able to find a driver for it that we or Agilent has written for this device.
Since I am not familiar with the 8990A, I cannot recommend which drivers might be similar, but you are pointed in the right direction. Agilent themselves might know more about which models use similar command sets so that you can modify a driver easily.

I recently bought a new MacBook Pro (10.6.8) but to date, haven't been able to find any software/driver to use for my scanner, including the Microtek site. I have a Microtek Scanmaker 3600 that still works perfectly. I have searched forums and online sites for software to use the scanner on the new laptop and hate to think I need to buy a new scanner when the 3600 works fine. I have an HP Deskjet 930C and was able to find the software/driver to use on the new laptop. Does anyone know where I can find the software/driver to get my scanner to work?

I downloaded it and it keeps telling me "No Scanner Detected." I looked on their website under supported scanners, found my Microtek ScanMaker 3600 and it says "NO" for Mac.

I just sent an email to them asking if VueScan does support a my scanner. I hope it does. I have been searching but am not proficient or know enough of what to look for. I just don't want to have to buy another scanner.
