Thanks in advance
Thanks&Regards
Shams

hi Shams
It seems the device type is in compressed form. first unzip the file before importing it.
the extention of the file should be .pri but the extension of your  device type is .pkg.gz.pri.
.gz is a convention of compressed format.  check the installation details of this file before you import.
I think so your file should look like this before you import print-drivers-hpux11.11.pri.

Hey , Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that you're getting the error 'Unable to add print driver hpfax1, error code 87' when installing your HP LaserJet Pro M1536dnf Multifunction Printer on your Windows 7 computer. I would like to assist you today with resolving this install issue. Thank you for including all of the troubleshooting steps that you have completed prior to reaching out for support. At this time I am going to walk you through some additional software and driver troubleshooting steps. Please follow all of the steps below.  If you're using your HP Laserjet through a USB Cable connection, please disconnect that cable now.  Step one: Remove Driver: 1. Click on your Start menu 2. Select Control Panel 3. Select Programs and Features 4. When Programs and Features opens a list of programs installed on your computer will populate. Click on the 'Installed ON' tab at the top to change the date so the recently installed items show at the top. This will make it easier to manually locate the three HP Laserjet items you need to uninstall.  5. Next, look for the HP LJ M1530 MFP Series HP Scan, HPLaserJetHelp_LearnCenter, and HP LaserJet Professional M1530 MFP Series. If you see any 3 of these, or all 3 of these items, please click on them and select Uninstall.   Once you have confirmed that those three items have been uninstalled, please close Programs and Features and proceed to the next step.   Step 2: Clear Temp Files:  Click on your Start menuIn the 'search programs and files' box located right above Start after you click on it, type %temp% and hit enter on your keyboardWhen the Temp folder opens, select Ctrl + A at the same time on your keyboard. Everything in this folder will now highlight.Select the 'delete' button on your keyboard. The Temp folder contains temporary internet files. No actual files or folders on your computer will be affected by deleting the Temp files. Should a Temp file still be used than you will automatically get the pop up to 'skip' that item.Close the Temp folder once it is emptiedRight click the Recycling Bin on your desktop and select Empty Recycling BinPlease proceed to the next step.    Step 3: Download Installer Package:  Please click here to download the Full Feature Installer package. Once the download is complete, click on the download to allow it to 'Run'An extraction should now automatically occur. Once the extraction is complete an installer window will open. Please close the installation window.  You do not want to run the installation at this time.   Step 4: Run Scrubber:  To ensure that no trace of the HP Software and Driver package remain on your computer, I am going to have you run a Scrubber built into the installer package for your printer.  Click on your Start menuIn the 'search programs and files' box located right above Start after you click on it, type %temp% and hit enter on your keyboardWhen the Temp folder opens locate the 7z folder. Click on this folder to open it. This is the HP Laserjet Installer Click on the Utilities folder under the 7z folderDouble left click on Scrubber. Please click here to download the CCLeaner Tool. Once the website opens select the link at the top for 'Free Download'. Once the download is complete please complete the Scan. Should multiple malicious files be found you may need to run the Scan multiple times to remove all malicious files. • ICloud Drive Upload Error/Space Used?

I attempted to upload a 3 GB .zip file to my iCloud Drive through iCloud.com.  When it got to the end, it gave me an error saying that the upload failed.  Despite that, I've lost 3 GB of my storage space, even though I can't find the file anywhere.  I even deleted the folder that I was attempting to upload the file to, thinking it's some kind of temporary hidden file, but that didn't free up the space.  Is there a way to get Apple to delete the temporary file or whatever it is that is taking up the 3 GB?

An Aperture vault cannot be stored in iCloud drive. If you put it on a synced volume it will be corrupted by syncing.  Write your vault to a locally connected disk like described here for Aperture Libraries:
Use locally mounted Mac OS X Extended volumes for your Aperture library
A vault is essentially an Aperture library, so the same holds.   I tested putting Aperture libraries, vaults, and iPhoto Libraries onto iCloud Drive. After the first sync they needed repairing.
. When I set up a Vault using the iCloud drive it says I have insufficient space. Clearly I don't!
How much free space is on your Mac?  You can only write files to iCloud Drive that will fit on all devices that are connected to iCloud Drive. iCloud Drive is not like an external disk - it is a shared storage for syncing your Macs. Everything you are writing to iCloud Drive will be mirrored to your Macs. See:  iCloud Drive FAQ

  • How do I deal with "Acces Denied" error when trying to print to Adobe PDF printer driver

Windows 7 64 bit OS (updated)
    Adobe Acrobat XI (11.0.06.70)
I am unable to create a PDF file from within the Windows 7 print dialog.  Each time, I receive a terse "Access Denied" error followed by the display below (the progress bar never advances).  I thought upgrading to Adobe Acrobat XI might fix this but no such luck.  It seems that others have experienced similar issues.  I noticed in the display below that Adobe is trying to create the file in a folder which does not exist (at least I can't see it even after setting my preferences to display hidden files).  I have the hope that, if the folder were present and accessible, Adobe would create the file without trouble.  Is there a way to instruct Adobe Acrobat XI to create this temporary file in a different location?  One of my frustrations is that I used to be able to print Adobe Acrobat files without trouble on the same computer.  I wonder whether the use of a registry cleaner may have contributed to my problem.
What are the best practices for addressing the Access Denied and inability to print problems I've encountered?
Thanks for any help you can provide in sorting out this problem.
    Best,
    Matt

I have been having the exact same problem with Adobe Acrobat X.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times and applied all the latest updates.  Every time I try to print ANTHING to the Adobe PDF print driver, the software hangs (MS Office, webpage, or other programs).  When I finally kill the process using Task Manager, I find the little "Access Denied" box.  This has been happening for nearly one year.  I have limped along since I have other computers to use.   I have attempted to find answers on this forum in the past, and no one seems to have a clear answer to the problem.
I, too, was tempted to upgrade to XI, but Matt's post settled the matter, since it did not help him.
I am using Win 7 Home (64 bit) and until this issue started, I have had no problem with AA X.
Where are the Adobe experts when you need them?  Please help us.

  • Windows update error 800f0246 when installing printer driver

I have Win 7 pro 64 bit and an HP3520 printer.  HP site says a Windows 7 driver is available via windows update.  When I go into Windows update, the drivers shows up under optional downloads.  When I try to download and install it it fails with error code 800f0246.  All other updates install fine.  I tried multiple times with the same error.
When I go into device manager the printer is listed under other devices with an icon indicating a driver issue.  When I try to update the driver it finds the downloaded driver that Windows update downloaded.  I select it and it fails.
I have Windows 7 beta still on my laptop and the printer driver installs from windows update just fine.
    Any ideas?

No go.  Uninstalled, rebooted, tried to reinstall again, still failed.  Fails when the printer is disconnected as well.  The HP site does not have a driver for manual install.  Any links for a driver lead to here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01874792&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=305968    Those steps do not work because the driver in windows update fails to install.

  • Windows 7 64 bit / Server 2012 R2 GUI - Type 4 Print Driver error "Cannot connect to the Printer" 0x00000002

Hello,  We have multiple Server 2003 Print server and are working on testing a Server 2012 print server.  We have run into an issue where a PRINTER (type 4, normal) works with our Windows 7 32 bit clients, Windows 8.1 64 bit clients and the
2012 R2 server, but when trying to install to a windows 7 64 bit clients using \\SERVER\PRINTER we are getting the above message.  (The printer is not offered currently in the directory).
I have been scouring the Google and Bing and have yet to find a satisfactory description that matches this issue.  Nor have I found other information that resolve this issue.  Like, blaming this on the spooler or DLL fixes or Reg hacks (applied
    on the client side).
Specifically, we have used the native 2012 R2 drivers "Ricoh Class Driver", "HP LaserJet 4240 PCL6 Class Driver" and "Xerox Phaser 6120 Class Driver"
If I use a Type 3 driver from Xerox I am able to print from the Windows 7 64 bit client to the print device, but I was hoping to get all of my clients onto 1 driver.  I understand that I might be able to use some sort of WMI filtering in our GPO
deployments for the Windows 7 64 bit clients when we go live but this sort of <gs class="GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark" ginger_software_uiphraseguid="55af8faf-887d-4ea5-9032-7c14b199df0f" id="db4a1e65-db1b-4c94-bd84-20ffc96288ce">henky</gs>.
Please, provide some knowledge.  Either a solution to this issue or acknowledgement that separate driver will be required.  Thank You!!!!!

  • Acrobat 7.0 Pro error message in Vista Ultimate..missing printer driver

I use to have Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional installed on my other computer with had XP Pro as its operating system. I could convert any Word 2003 document into a PDF and e-mail it without any problems. I just purchased a new computer with Vista Ultimate 64 bit and every time I try to convert a Word document into a PDF I get an error message that says it can't find the printer driver and to please re-install Acrobat. I did what it said and I keep getting the same error message. I even installed the newest Adobe Reader like it said. I know my printer driver works. Does anyone have a solution? It seems all the money you spend on Adobe products their support staff just wants to wash their hands and send you on some wild goose chase looking for answers on their un-user friendly site instead of answering the question or making any recommendations. If I have to update it so be it. They should have told me that. This is the last time I will fork over $600 on any of their products because their service stinks. I appreciate any help from anyone who has experienced this same problem or who knows how to rectify it. God Bless, Tony

Hi Michael, Thank you so much for the reply. You would think Adobe Support could have told me that so I really appreciate it. Do you know what I need to do to upgrade it ? Can I find an upgrade on E-Bay or do I need to go to COMP USA or some other place to buy the upgrade? Last, what exactly am I looking for to upgrade it to the newest version. (Name of product). I will also remove the other program so it won't have any other issues once I get the upgrade. Thanks again and God Bless, Tony

  • Satellite L300 PSLB8C: printer driver error - NT 4.0 blocked

I have recently just brought a new Satellite L300 - PSLB8C 04P01X with vista home premium 64bit installed.
I am trying to install a driver for a printer (ML-2010). In the process, I have encountered these two errors:
'the printer driver is not compatible with a policy enabled on your computer that blocks NT 4.0 drivers'
I have also tried to install the driver in several other different ways, including updating the driver from the device manager and adding a printer from the control panel. Neither methods I have tried accepted the driver that was in the vista package for the ML-2010.
In addition, I encountered the same errors in the process.
    Can you please help?
    Thanks

If you search a little bit with Google, you will find a lot of links.
Many people have problems with this printer on Vista 64bit.
I have founded a short review via Google about this printer and found out, that for this printer is no 64bit driver available.
On the manufactures website I also did not find a Vista64 bit driver.
Only for Vista/2008 and XP 64bit.
Sorry but I think this is not possible to use this driver with Vista 64bit but in your case I would contact the manufacture of the printer.

  • Sudden Canon CMFP Printer Driver Error?

My Canon MF8380 had been working fine with my macbook pro (printing wirelessly), and all of a sudden today I am getting an error that says:
"Canon CMFP Printer Driver: Printer is not responding. Check the printer power and connection, and then try sending printing job again."
I have tried the basics - turning off and on the printer, rebooting the macbook pro, printing from different applications, making sure Job Accounting is not checked in setup, seeing that the driver seems like it's acknowledged, checking and unchecking sharing prefs... Not versed enough to do much beond that.
    Any advice?
    Thanks in advance!

Canon just released a new print driver that fixed my exact same error.

  • Error "print driver host for 32bit applications has stopped working"

Got this error when trying to "print" a gmail message to a pdf file. After some research (trial and error) I found that in my case this message is due to the subject line of the message generating an invalid Windows file name. Using the subject line to generate the filename is how GMail decides to generate the file name. I guess this is as good a strategy as any. I cannot think of a better strategy for GMail (would not want that "feature" changed).
Solution: Forwarded message to myself with a subject line that does not generate an invalid Windows file name and then "printed" that forwarded message.
Software: Adobe Acrobat Pro. OS: Win 7 64-bit. Application: Chrome accessing GMail. But I conjecture that this error message is not dependent on the specific configuration I have. For example, I recall having a failure when trying to do "print" a GMail message under 32-bit vista though I do not recall the error message (was very likely different :-). In that case I copied the message into Word and moved on leaving it as a mystery.
Adobe solution (I suppose) is that Acrobat (distiller) needs to check the validity of the Windows file name and give back a rationale error message before passing to the OS.
Hope this helps somone out there.

I am having the exact same problem. I have Windows 7 Pro 64-bit and Design Premium CS 5.5.  InDesign is the ONLY program that will not print to any printer. I get the "Printer selection failed." error every time I select any printer, even the Adobe PDF one. I have a Brother printer, an HP Plotter, and even an Oce copier/printer.  InDesign gives the error no matter what printer is selected form its own list.  Photoshop and Acrobat do not give me any issues, nor does any of the MS Office programs nor Autodesk softwares.  It's only InDesign that fails.  Reparing doesn't do anything and reinstalling every printer driver is pointless because it's only InDesign that produces the error.
Does anyone know what to do to fix this?

  • Error with HP LaserJet Professional M1212nf print driver on Windows 2008 (32bits) Terminal Server

We got a lot of LaserJet m1212nf printers, installed the SAME driver version on server and desktops and nothing is printed using Easy Print. No errors, no messages but nothing is printed, only when a test page is printed the server show an alert: "No test page can be printed".
After that we try to use the HP driver instead of the TS Easy Print, forcing the group policy to use the Hp driver first. But the terminal server always use the Easy Print driver so we are in the same way.
So we try another thing... THE XPS DRIVER... but it doesn't works on the desktop PC, we try to print a test page from the printer desktop properties but "No test page can be printed" is shown...    my god!!!
