Printer icon acts as hyperlink to preceding page

Hi there,
I have a website running asp .net 2.0, Crystal Reports .NET and a report pages that uses a CrystalReportViewer. One of the reports won't print. When I click the print button the application doesn't print and jumps to a previous web page.
Any ideas why the print button acts as a hyperlink?

Hi, Paul;
You say that this affects one report. Are other reports hosted on different aspx pages, or this same page? There should not be any reason for the print button to behave in this manner. If you create a new ASPX page, add our viewer to it, and view a report through it, does it work fine? If so, compare the code behind on this page to the problem page.

With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:

When using Pages, I can't seem to print an envelope. I use file, then print, and see the printer icon come up in the dock showing it received the info but then quickly disappears and nothing gets printed. When I check the printer queue there is nothing

Bear with me, I've not done this before. I can't seem to reliably print an envelope when using Pages. I go to "file" click "print", click "ok", see the printer icon flash in the dock with a red "1" (indicating a printing job), but then the icon disappears and nothing gets printed. I checked the printers queue and there is nothing there. The funny thing is, after many times hitting "print", twice I've had envelopes printed. ??? What's the secret?

Have you tested it from other software, such as TextEdit to establish that it is in fact Pages that is the problem?
Step us through Print Setup... and what you select when you send it off to print.

You can load envelopes from the multi-purpose sheet feeder. Your appliaction software must be set up to print the envelope size you are using. This is usually done in the Page Setup or Document Setup mebnu of your software. Refer to your appliaction manual
It also mentions an issue with paper thickness.

Page Not Found Error when clicking on Crystal Report Viewer print icon

    I am working with ASP.NET 2.0 and crystla reportXI release2.
    I am getting "Page Can not be Found " error when clicking on Crystal Report Viewer print icon.

This sounds like a postback issue. Does your application handle postback by putting the report in session?

How can I get the printer icon to show in 3.6.6

In previous versions a printer icon showed near the top of the page - I would like to have that again instead of doing a File-Print action or control-p.

Brother Printer will now print the first or sometimes the second page of a four page document. Tried a different new Brother printer. Same problem.

In the past, the same printer would print only half of the first page of the email.

Some style rules that work fine on screen cause problems for Firefox when paginating, with content sliding out of position, getting cut off, or generating extra pages. For best results, look for a special "printable" layout for your email messages. There may be a link for this, or an icon, or a menu items (e.g., on a ... menu). If it's a commonly used site, someone may know exactly where it is.
For statements, often these are in PDF format and you may get better results as follows:
* If you are using Adobe's PDF plugin, use its print icon (floating toolbar) instead of Firefox's print button.
* If you are using Firefox's built-in PDF viewer, try opening the PDF in your regular PDF viewing application instead of printing it from Firefox. You can use the download icon on the black toolbar above the document (below the regular toolbar area) to do that.

Hyperlink to iWeb Page not working

I have created an iWeb page. I have a hyperlink to the page on a document. The hyperlink takes me to a mobile me error page ie "We can't find the page you requested. Please make sure the URL is spelled and capitalized correctly, and try again."
Yet if I copy and paste the exact same url I have entered in the hyperlink filed into the address bar on Safari it goes to the right page no problems.
Any ideas please?

Is that the page you're trying to link to in the PDF document?
I was able to place a hyperlink in an rtfd text file and and Word 2008 document to your web page that works. The link in the Word document takes about 5 to 7 seconds to get to Safari and open the Page. The rtfd document, created with Bean
Bean, a great, free word processor, opens the page in Safari almost immediately.
In Work I used the Insert ➙ Hyperlink menu option and entered the URL of you page and the text to use as the link. For the Bean document I clicked and dragged the link title at the top of your web page onto the Bean page and saved as a rtfd formatted file. If the page is saved as a plain text document the hyperlink is lost.

If I do a Print ➙ PDF ➙ Save as PDF from Bean I get a working link in the resulting PDF file. But with Word the link does not work.

Print icon has dissappered. I can't print from Firefox anymore. How to get print icon back?

Previously I had print icon in Firefox. Then one day Firefox asked to be updated and after update had completed print icon was not there anymore. Also bookmarks look different.

Same with me. If it is a xps doc try highlighting what you want to print, or go to the page you want to print and hit ctrl+P. It works for me.

Printer icon not in dock when printing

Since upgrading to Moutain Lion my printer icon had disappeared from the dock during printing. Previously it would show in dock when I was printing, Now nothing. Still able to print without issue and can see queue by going into System preferences. Do not see a place to make it appea again? Any thoughts?

I should have mentioned that I already tried removing then adding the printer with no success. I see the printer under system preferences and it is printing normally. Just have no icon appearing in dock when in process of actually printing a page. So since I attach to it wirelessly, I am always concerned it is not printing when I want to. So it means I have to open up System preferences>Printer Queue to make sure it is printing. Would love to get the automatic icon in the dock back in place

How do I get the HP Smart Print icon back in the toolbar?

The HP Smart Print icon used to appear in the Firefox toolbar. I had to reload Firefox. the icon no longer appears. How do I get it back? I am using Windows 7.

Some questions for you: What happens when you try print multiple copies? Copying Documents.Do you see any error messages on the front panel of the printer when it stops printing? Does the paper get stuck inside the printer? What happens if you print from NotePad?

If you cannot see any content on pages you printed or in print preview, the cause might be margins which are set too high.

Printer Icon on my home screen

I have downloaded the HP printer on the go, I now have a printer icon with a 1 next to it. What does that mean? I've checked to see if there are any messages but can't find anything. Please help, this icon is bugging me.

you need a special search
from the home screen, click on the Messages icon (not the email icon), open the menu, select search, then click on the search button and select "Advanced search".
You get to a new screen. fill the show field with : "Unread Only" and for the other fields, as broard as possible.

Printing from the print icon on the Bookmarks toolbar produces gibberish. Printing from Firefox, print works fine

I am using the final release of firefox 4.0, and when I print using the print icon on the Bookmarks toolbar, all I get is gibberish....random letters scattered on the page. But if I click on the Firefox tab and Print from there, the page prints fine.

No print icon in pop up window?

Before this update, when a pop up window was launched I was able to see a print icon in the new pop up window. With this new update that does not seem to be the case. I have to hit ctrl+P in order to print the pop up window. Is there a way to enable the print icon to appear in the new pop up window? I tried to customize the toolbar and add the print icon but it only appears on the static page and not the pop up window.
