Printer information not compatible

Win7 Enterprise
1st Error msg: "The saved printer information is not compatible with this version od Photoshop Elements.... etc"
Followed by
2nd Error msg: "There was an error opening your printer. Printing functions will not be available... etc"
What have I tried?
Resetting preferences from Edit->Preferences->General = No effect
Deleting ..adobe'photoshop elements\11 folder from appdata = No effect
Enviornment: I'm a long time CS user who has purchased Elements to go on a third PC so that I don't break licensing agreements. This PC is in an office running a Win 7 SOE that is locked down quite tightly (so I have no control over printer drivers) The base SOE is rolled out to over 2000 users. The printer driver concerned is an enterprise-wide Ricoh driver that sends to a 'follow-me' queue. There are many CS5, CS6 and earlier Elements users in the enterprise using this driver without issue - I believe I'm the first Elements 11 user. All other applications (inc Acrobat and Office 10 suite) print without issue. There are no other printer drivers allowed on the machine (big green policy thing here).
Workaround: Work in Elements, save to TIF, print from Gimp (or any other application). Not a good way to things, much hilarity at my expense from others in the office (mostly Mac users).
Clearly Elements is being a bit of a drama queen over this. Any idea for a fix?

I'll post the fix here in case it's useful to anyone else
Change the default printer, in Windows, to MS XPS writer
Start Elements, create a new image, File -->print (elements was now able to offer me a print dialog)
In the Print dialog, change to the correct printer and print
Exit Elements change the default back to the original printer
Restart Elements - No errors
The obvious question is Why? Obviously there is nothing wrong with the driver, it now prints perfectly
I suspect a bug...

HP C5380 DVD/CD Printing Feature Not Compatible With Mac

I purchased this all-in-one specifically for the feature of printing direct to cd/dvds. Other functions work fine but this will not. After contacting HP Support I am informed that this feature is not compatible with Mac. Surely this is false advertising as nowhere on the packaging can I find any reference to this. Under specifications it shows that system requirements were Mac OSX 10.5.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a fix? I have searched mac support but can find no reference to this. Interested to hear other viewpoints and experiences.

I would try printing directly on CD/DVD from the application HP Photosmart Studio.. Follow the steps below:
1. Open HP Photosmart Studio
2. Select an image from the Photosmart Studio library/browser
3. Choose "Create" in the toolbar
4. In the menu on the left, choose the following settings:
- Project: CD/DVD Label
- Label Type: CD/DVD (5 inch/120 mm)
5. Move the image from the media bar to the label, resize it if necessary
6. Click "Print" on the toolbar

I'm running Firefox 3.6.23. I get the message that HP Smart Web Printing is not compatible.

I'm running Firefox 3.6.23 under Windows 7 64 bit. I want to use the HP Smart Web Printing program but under the add-ons I get the message that it is not compatible with this version. What ver. should I be running for compatibility? I saw at one time the icon on the toolbar but it went away after the next reboot. Help.

HT4356 why HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3525 e-All-in-One Printer is not compatible with AirPrint?

I have issues with wireless impresion in my MacBook pro. I bought an HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3525 e-All-in-One Printer (CZ275A).

When I installed the software I had an issue with the compatiblity between my printer and mountain lion. I installed a mountain lion's update related to HP Printers but it wasn't succesful. At any rate I set up the printer and and wireless print works only once... after this I used the USB connection.
I have no idea what happens and it's so weird because HP webpage says thar 3525 is compatible with AirPrint...

My Epson Artisan 610 printer will not work with my new iPad 2. Not AirPrint compatible. Only certain HP printers work. Are there any solutions to this other than buying an HP printer?

Epson iPrint doesn't allow printing directly from something like Photos, you have to call up iPrint and THEN select Photos, but it does work and very well. For my Epson Artisan 725, I had it print a photo, best quality, on 4x6 Premium Photo Paper, and it DID automatically select the right "tray" with my photo paper.

I understand that the message gives that Firefox does not support the printer giving issues as well as Robo Form is not filling in forms for Firefox.
Please consider the troubleshooting steps suggested:

As for the addon/extension I can recommend trying Safe Mode to see if there is an issue with one of the add ons, or disable each of the extensions to troubleshoot what might be interacting with this feature.

Printer cable not compatible

Purchased new Dell XPS 8700 Tower and unable to plug in printer cable from 5650 printer. Do I need a new adapter between cables and where can I purchase one? Also which adapter # will I need if possible.

The Dell 8700 has USB ports, and your Deskjet 5650 has USB and parallel ports. If you were previously using the parallel port on your printer you will need to purchase a standard A/B USB 2.0 cable. The cables are standard, you do not need the special gold plated version. I often pick up the cables up at the Dollar Store for $1, any computer shop should sell them.

In Photoshop Elements 13 I keep getting a message that says default printer is not compatible with this version of Photoshop; therefore I can no longer print. Just started doing this out of the blue. Was printing just fine to start with.

Hope someone can help.

Same problem here.
This has happened on two individual computers both running elements 13 printing to the same printer.
As mentioned above, the users have taken to printing using windows print and fax viewer.
I've done a clean install of elements 13 and restarted the print spooler. no joy

Intelligent Print Widget not compatible with Adobe Captivate 7?

I took a file I developed with CP6 that has the Intelligent Print Widget on the Quiz Results pages into CP7. When I publish the file, I don't see the print widget. I even ensured the swf file is there in the zipped package but still no print button. What happened?

Printer not compatible with OS X Tiger 10.4? Help!

A few months ago I bought a Konica Minolta Magicolour 2400W laser printer (in a panic, was the cheapest available - in order to print my thesis). I have since bought an Apple Mac ibookG4 running OS X Tiger 10.4. Konica Minolta tell me that this printer is not compatible with the Mac and that I can't use it. So, my current situation is that I have a £200 printer that cannot communicate with over £800 worth of new Apple equipment. I am slightly P**d off. I probably should have done my homework but didn't expect a brand new printer not to have drivers compatible with a brand new computer + operating system. Short of selling the **** printer and getting a Mac-compatible one; what can I do? Please help, any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Looking at the Konica Minolta web site it lists only Windows support for this model.

So looks like the advice was right. The Minolta 2430DL and 2450 network models do support Macs so perhaps that is the confusion.
The only option looking around is to try Foomatic-RIP for Mac OS X and EPS Ghostscript in order to use the open source driver. Checking the Linuxprinting.org web site there is indeed a working driver for your model.
However it is only a 'Filter' which will need to be compiled to work with the above. Not a straightforward exercise I am afraid. I have found a recent thread which deals with this exact same model and perhaps you could try it yourself if you feel brave, or perhaps contact the guy posting the request and ask if he can send it if he manages to compile a working version.

You may try the following workaround and check if tha may work:
Download and install the following package:
http://support.apple.com/kb/dl907
Ensure the printer is powered on and connected to your Mac.
Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
Click the plus sign and select the printer.
Click the Use menu and then click on Select Software.
Select the HP Laserjet 1022 from the list and click on Add.
Now try printing using the added Print Queue.
