Printer is wipped out from my computer

Well I have been using this printer for about a year and after we moved it took a while to get ink so after getting ink the printer would print not scan nor connect to wifi but would print from the computer. . So I went on hp website to download the software again and it just wipped the whole printer off my computer. So now I can not get it to recognize my printer. What happened?

I have a b210 printer and cannot print 4 X 6 from my computer other than Snapfish.  I have photos either on Adobe 8; scanned to myu HP Essentials or kodak.  Even though I have paper that will fit in the printer.  How can I rememdy this.

Hi, Matty. Select Page Setup from iPhoto's File menu, select your printer, and choose 4x6 as the paper size. I believe the Print dialog box governs what size the image is printed at, but the Page Setup dialog governs which paper tray is used. I don't have a printer that can use 4x6 paper, so I can't test this suggestion myself. Hope it works for you.

  • Printing doesn't work from remote computer.

I used to be able to print from my windows laptop to my linux printer.
I recently upgraded stuff to get a new xorg and am now having problems.
Printing works fine locally.  Here's the debug log from cups.
I see httpgets getting nothing, but I don't know how to find out why.
How can I track down the problem?

       THanks.

Cups has done their usual great job of upgrading, breaking things, and not mentioning it.
What version of cups.  1.2.0 broke samba, though that was fixed.
Also, the new default cupsd.conf only allows printing from local host.  In addition to the advice given above you can increase the debug level, changing LogLevel from info to debug2.
Samba logs might also be helpful.
FWIW, we have an Arch box doing some print serving, but I haven't upgraded it in awhile.  (I upgrade on test machines first, and saw that there were some problems with cups, so I've left it alone--also on production machines, there's a lot of truth to the adage, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
One thing to try, in regards to troubleshooting, is to go into cupsd.conf and allow All in the <Location> directive and see if that helps.  If it fixes the problem, you can then tighten it up.  (Also put allow before deny.)  I ~think~ (I only have on box with a brand new cupsd.conf--on the others, I'm using pre 1.2.0 configs, and on the new one, I've already edited it so I don't have a sample) that by default, it puts allow first, has allow from localhost, and so by default, everything else is denied.
Is the Windows box using ipp or samba.  That is, did you add the printer to the Windows machine with \servernameprintername?
Good luck--Cups came by its nickname of C(an't)U(sually)P(rint) S(tuff--or other, more vulgar words) honestly.  Gotta love their manpages too, it's the only one I've come across where they mention an option without telling what it does---their lpadmin page lists the -x option with no explanation--for the curious, -x will delete a printer.
Sorry, I get to talking about cups and I have to rant.

  • Satellite Portege R705 Screws falling out from inside computer

I've had two screws fall out of the INTERIOR of my Satellite Protege R705.  The first one hit my right hand as I picked up the laptop off my lap.  The second one fell off today when I picked the laptop up by the top of the screen (while it was open).  I did not see this one fall but heard it hit the floor & it was exactly the same type of screw as the first one.  Again, there are not screws missing from the exterior of my computer, or the opened DVD player.
Has anyone else had this happen and what do I do?  My computer is physically functioning OK other than it keeps saying one of my USB ports is not working even though both USB ports do work so I've ignored that warning.

    Kathy,
A couple things.  First, this post is a bit dated, so probably better for you to start your own thread instead of posting to an old one.
Also, when posting, please provide the entire model number (which the OP did not).  It is provided on the bottom of the computer and looks something like Portege R705-P40.
Check the bottom of the computer and look in each one of the holes to see if you can find which one is missing a screw.  If you find it, just replace the screw using a jeweler's screwdriver.  If not, it likely is not going to be an issue as the case is held together with many screws.
Finally, as has been posted already, never pick up your computer from the screen, as you could break one of the hinges, and they are difficult to repair.
If your computer is working then don't wory about it losing a screw.

  • My iPad shows my Photosmart 7510 but won't print. Wireless commands from my computer to printer work

My iPad shows my Photosmart 7510 but won't print. I've disconnected and reconnected printer, turned iPad off and on.  My computer communicates well wirelessly with the printer. Troubleshoot further?

I would try a hard reset on the iPad.
To do so, hold both the home button and sleep button down at the same time.
Keep holding them until the device restarts and you see the Apple logo.
Once you see the Apple logo, you can go ahead and release the buttons.
Once the iPad is booted back up, try to print to your 7510 again.
Let know if that helps resolve your issue or not.
    Best of luck,
    Kyle

  • HT1420 i used 3 old computers for my itunes account that i do not have ANY ACCESS with anymore, that i want to de-authorize.... can i do that without the computers and does it wipe out my existing computer at the same time?????

i used 3 old computers for my itunes account previously, that i have no access to de-authorize now..
can this still be done with my existing computer, and does it de-authorize the current one, so that i would have to re-load it????
the original 3 computers are long gone, in-active....

Individual computers can only be deauthorised directly on them, but as you have more than one computer authorised then you can log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option and 'deauthorise all' (which you can do once every 12 months) and you can then authorise/reauthorise the computers that you still have and need. Deauthorising a computer doesn't remove any content from it, it just means that you won't be able to use any of the account's downloads on it until you reauthorise it.

  • If I download an update will it wipe mackeeper from my computer

MacKeeper and needing to get if off of my computer

"MacKeeper" has only one useful feature: it deletes itself.
    First, back up all data.
Note: These instructions apply to the version of the product that I downloaded and tested in early 2012. I can't be sure that they apply to other versions.
If you have incompletely removed MacKeeper—for example, by dragging the application to the Trash and immediately emptying—then you'll have to reinstall it and start over.
IMPORTANT: "MacKeeper" has what the developer calls an “encryption” feature. In my tests, I didn't try to verify what this feature really does. If you used it to “encrypt” any of your files, “decrypt” them before you uninstall, or (preferably) restore the files from backups made before they were “encrypted.” As the developer is not trustworthy, you should assume that the "decrypted" files are corrupt unless proven otherwise.
    In the Finder, select
              Go ▹ Applications
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-A. The "MacKeeper" application is in the folder that opens. Quit it if it's running, then drag it to the Trash. You'll be prompted for your login password. Click the Uninstall MacKeeper button in the dialog that appears. All the other functional components of the software will be deleted. Restart the computer and empty the Trash.
☞ Quit MacKeeper before dragging it to the Trash.
☞ Let MacKeeper delete its other components before you empty the Trash.
☞ Don't try to drag the MacKeeper Dock icon to the Trash.
☞ Don't try to remove MacKeeper while running in safe mode.

  • I accidentally turned on parental controls, when I try to turn them off it says my password is wrong when I know it's not. What do I do so that I won't have to wipe everything from my computer?

Trying to fix something else in my settings I accidentally turned my parental controls on. When I tried to disable them it said my password or adminstrative name was wrong when I know they are both right. I even tried to change my password to the account but that didn't help. I don't want to have to delete my account and am not sure how to back everything up if that is the only option. Is there a simple solution to this?

If you have Restricted your MAIN account in the perental controls that may be the reason. You may have to create a new Administrators account to change the settings on the parent controls.
Not sure as I have never used that feature on any computer I own.

  • HP CN245B Photosmart all in one wireless e-printer B110a HAS DISAPPEARED from my computer?!

Please help this Techno-phobe!!  My printer is no longer listed in Devices & Printers (so, obviously, will not print!).  Went to HP Solution centre & found a download that is supposed to fix this problem - specs included Windows 7 64bit (which mine is) - downloaded, saved, then went to run it & it came up with a box saying "Not intended for Windows 7"??!!!  Have re-run the set-up CD, tried turning off my firewall, all with no result.  Went to e-mail HP support, but they cannot find my registration (I did register the product & have the e-mail confirmation to prove it!).  It's Sunday, so no telephone support - I have lots of printing I need to get down......can anyone help in words of one syllable please?!

I have no idea what you're doing then, the link goes right to the Printers section, there's no "Other Desktop" options which is found several levels higher at http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Computers-Monitors/ct-p/DesktopPC

    Hi,
The driver will most likely go offline or disappear due to connectivity problems.
I assume it is connected through the network, please clarify other wise.
Try installing the patch below which meant to improve the connectivity and check for any progress:

  • Cannot print in color from my computer

ENVY 7640 all-in-one.  Brand new.  Using the cartidges that came with the printer and ink levels are fine.  Running Yosemite on my iMac.  Using wireless connection.  When I set this printer up last week, it printed in color including from my computer, iPhone and iPad.  But starting Friday night my screenprints from the computer have only come out in black and white.  Checked the cartidges.  Ran a print check--which came out in color.  Checked printer settings on my Mac: they are set for color, not black and white.  I still have my old HP 4700 printer hooked up and that will print in color.  Could sure use some concrete help.   Thanks.

    Hello David_73,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are having an issue with printing in colour.
Please click on the following link that deals with when the Printer Does Not Print Black Ink or Color Ink, or Prints Blank Pages.
If the troubleshooting does not help resolve your issue, I would then suggest calling HP's Technical Support to see about further options for you. If you are calling within North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions, click here: click here.

  • HT1391 My name is Rachel Bennett and all of my music from my I-Tunes were wipe clean form my computer and I do not have any back up files and all the music I download and pay for I do not have any more.My computer is a Vista

My name is Rachel Bennett and all of my music from I-Tunes store was wipe clean from my computer when after my computer caught a virus,so is their any way I'm going to be able to get my music download back to my computer. All the music that was lost I  pay for.

For info we are fellow users here on these forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
What you can redownload for free will show under the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage
Does music show as a category there ? Music can't be redownloaded in all countries, and if you've changed countries since buying it and/or or if it's no longer in your country's store then you won't be able to redownload it.
If music doesn't show there as a category then you can try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will grant you a redownload : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/

  • If my printer is not connected to my computer, why does it start up when my computer starts up?

I disconnected my printer (a Brother inkjet) from my computer last night as it was continually starting up and running thru it's cleaning process each time as my computer woke up, even tho I had turned the printer off. This morning the printer is still not connected to the mac, but it started up when the computer did. And this happened with the previous printer, which was an HP. Is there a setting on the Mac that I can set to not wake up the printer each time I use the computer? There are days when my computer is on, goes to sleep, wakes up, etc, and the printer is not needed, so I'd rather just have the printer stay off.
Of course, the obvious solution would be to unplug the printer each time, but since that involves crawling around under the desk, it's not a preferable solution.
    Any thoughts on this one?

Is the computer system software up to date?
What about the printer driver version?
If the printer is wireless capable, and has a
sleep or low-power mode, it may stand-by
or not really be 'off' so read a manual to see
what the printer can do, & be sure the OS X
is correct, along with maker's driver version.
The printer may be seen as a bonjour printer
or other, if it has an built-in antenna. I've not
heard of a printer causing a Mac to wakeup
in a manner of occurrence, as you've stated.
I've had dozens of Macs & several brands of
printers, w-fi capable or not. None ever did that.
If you have a PowerPC Mac running Tiger 10.4.9
or an Intel-based Mac, consider later software
and any later driver updates for the printer(s.)
    Good luck
