Printer issue with network printer model # laserjet 4350tn

printjobs of multiple pages is inserting blank pages in the job ex. if its an 6 page job it will mix in 1-2 blank pages in between.
Is it mechanical a setting on the printer itself or the printer properties on the network that is causing it.

after perhaps 1/4 page of print I get an "out of memory" error message.
You are probably using background printing. Your print image is written to a spool file and the keyboard is freed up for your use, while the de-spooler (such as Print Monitor, Espon3 Background, or whatever that printer uses) works in the background, sending your document to the printer.
The out-of-memory message is likely coming from the de-spooler, not the Mac OS. To fix, either allocate more memory to your de-spool program, or print "live" and endure not being able to use the keyboard while your document prints.
I have max ram installed (384MB)
Contrary to what the knowledgebase says, all models and all revisions of Beige G3 can run 3*256 MB RAM, for a maximum of 768 MB total, provided you install the correct 256 MB modules for a Beige or Blue & White G3. There are module height limits for the desktop model, modest ones for the tower, and for all practical purposes none for the All-In-One.
If I boot straight into OS 9, ... the USB port doesn't show up in the port list.
If you are using the same image for Classic and Mac OS 9, you may not have the correct Mac OS 9 drivers for the USB card installed. The simplest fix is to re-install Mac OS 9, taking care to Re-install all Networking items. It is not destructive, and generally takes only a few minutes.

    Same problem. I can see the itunes store so not a problem with windows firewall. The account is active on my iphone so i know i am not locked out. I can connect the PC to my iphone so i know itunes is working ok. It is just logging into itunes on this pc which doesn't work. Only thing I can think of is that the email address I use for my apple id has been offline for a while and is working again now, I'm wondering whether this has been the case for others who are having this issue?

    I have been using Lenovo P780 past one year. From Two months am facing a mojor issue with Network. When am connecting the device with WIFI then after few min. my GSM network goes down even after Turn off the WIFI. After a Hard rebot of the Device also am not able to get any GSM network on my Device. Please help me to resolve this issue. Am expecting more from Lenovo Technical Team.

  • Issue with network or SFTP adapter

    Hi Guys,
    we have found a case where a file has been received empty by the receviers, although we can see in PI that message contains data and transmitted successfully from AE.
    Please note that SFTP adapter is being used here and file contains encrypted data which is being sent outside the organization network.
    Can it be network or there is issue with SFTP adapter?

    I'm having trouble getting a Seagate Freeagent Go 2.5" 1TB to mount with the new 27" model imacs (11,3).
    At first I thought that maybe it wasn't supplying enough power but after buying an external powered hub it still won't mount.

    A rule i usually live by when purchasing externals, is to firstly check the file format (many are factory formatted in NTFS or FAT32) and if that is the case then change them to HFS+ using disk utility. That is of course if you intend to only use it with your mac, for example i use an external formatted in FAT32 and it works on Windows and Mac.
    Secondly its a good code of practice to make sure the drive spins up, as that is the easiest way to check for a dodgy powersupply.
    Thirdly and hopefully finally, if those tips don't work then try mounting it on another mac or pc and see if it is detected in any form, that'll tell you if there is a connection issue.

  • Security Issue with Network Home Directories

    We are currently trying to solve an issue with some user accounts whereby students can see teacher's user files. We have x1 as authentication, x2 as elementary file share, x3 as high school and teacher file share. All are Snow Leopard Server.
    Here is the problem:
    If a student is in the Finder and goes to the top menu bar and clicks Go > Network, they can see a listing of servers and computers.
    When the student opens Server, the see the x1, x2, x3 servers. The continue to open folders, digging through Volumes, then the data volume and see the alias for Users. The open that folder and see all the Users.
    At that point, if they click on Documents or Desktop of a teacher user, they see everything and are not prevented from accessing the files.
    The permissions for the teacher user folder is:
    ACL:
    Group - Everyone Deny Custom This folder
    User - Administrator Allow Full Control This folder, Child folders, Child files, All descendants
    POSIX:
    User - _unknown Allow Read&Write This folder
    Group - _unknown Allow Read Only This folder
    World - Others Allow Read Only This folder
    I would appreciate any thoughts.

    Do you know where the _unknown user permissions are from?
    Have the servers been upgraded from Tiger/Leopard?
    Also, in your group ACL permissions what are the custom settings you have? I'm guessing you're denying access to all admin/read/write?

  • Photoshop issue with network login

    All my editors are having issues with photoshop and creating a new document. The program launches fine, but when they go to create a new document, they get the RWOD and it locks up and needs to be force quit.
    If I login to the local account I can launch photoshop and create a new document without any issues. I have checked the system log in Console, but it does not show me anything that would appear to cause issues. I ssh to that machine and watched system log while they attempted to create a new document and nothing showed up at all.
    Anybody have any ideas on what would be causing this? I have tried trashing the prefs as well with no luck. Thanks

  • Issues with network in Carolina West territory

    Greetings,
    I am writing this for my Mother (and for myself when I go visit her) as she lives in Carolina West Wireless territory and is a Verizon user (actually the whole family are Verizon users).
    Sadly she has major issues with her 3G cell phone. She's always on extended network, so her smart phone is useless other than for calling and texting unless she switches to WiFi and uses her home internet. Sometimes her calls do not go through and instead she gets a Carolina West message telling her she's called "cannot be completed as dialed" - numbers in question are other Verizon numbers, numbers she used to be able to call just fine. And when they call her, they got someone else entirely! This never used to happen.
    She is supposed to be via the Verizon coverage map Extended 3G.
    She has tried going to Verizon stores for help, and even called and she just gets nowhere. No one seems to have any answers for her.
    When I used to come visit her my cell could use 3G (it's a Droid 4, she's got a Droid 3) and I could still get on the internet with it (not using her WiFi, but 3G network) but not anymore, my cell is too rendered to nothing but calls and texts and that's it. My Father's Droid 3 when he comes home says there's no service at all.
    Is this Carolina West's doing? Is there anything to be done? Why is the network getting worse for Verizon users here? We keep trying to get help and we keep getting spun in circles.
    Can someone please help us? Give us some answers? Some things to say when we call Verizon or go to a store and try to get help? They just look at us like we've grown a second head.

    Great question! I would be glad to help. It's very frustrating when you get errors or can't access data. It may be the area. There may have been a update ob the other carriers tower.
    On the Droid 3 please power the device off then back on. When in our network please Dial *228 and choose option 2. This will ensure the device is looking for all the available towers. For the Droid 4 please power down and remove and reinsert the Sim card and retest.

  • Issue with Network Home Users on Mountain Lion ( connecting to Lion Server)

    I have been forced to setup a network user on a new mac running mountain lion because their old mac just went pop, and have run into multiple issues that I have narrowed down to them being a Network User on Mountain Lion.
    1. Contacts get deleted whenever you open Mail. Mail will hang on fist launch until all your contacts in Contacts (I hate the new names! ) get deleted, console shows that the location for the address book database is invalid, seems to be an issue with ~/Library/Containers/apple.mail.com folder
    2. Word documents with images in the background do not display correctly, there is a giant red cross through the document

    We are having issues with two particular devices. I am trying to remove and add the devices, but when I do a search and go to their IP, I receive.
    Failed to edit blahblah.ourdomain.... Reason: The Host no longer exists.
    How do I get rid of this so I can readd the devices?

    Yes, ACS SE doesn't support csutil. Please use RDBMS with solution engine and see if that helps.

    The remote Access management console operation status shows  all green except for network location server .
    Error: There is no response from the network location server URL. DirectAccess connectivity might not work as expected, and DirectAccess clients located inside the corporate network might not be able to reach internal resources.

    Hi John,
    please follow the steps to reinstall TCP/IP stack.
    1.Restart your PC into Safe Mode with Networking.
    2.
    Edit your registry. Delete the following keys:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services/Winsock
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services/Winsock2
    3.
    Open the nettcpip.inf file in your %winroot%/inf folder
    (%winroot% is usually c:/windows).
    Find the [MS_TCPIP.PrimaryInstall] section. Change the Characteristics value from 0xA0 to 0x80.
    Open the properties of the network connection you want to fix. In the General tab, click on the Install button. Click on the Have Disk button, and point the location to %winroot%/inf. After that select TCP/IP (not version 6).
    4.
    Now you would notice that you can uninstall TCP/IP!
    Do that, then restart the PC.
    Go back to your network connection, and install TCP/IP again as per the above. After another reboot, you should be up and running.
    I also noted that the XP network repair tool may yank out the ISA 2004 firewall client stuff. Just run the firewall clinet repair or install it again to fix that problem after you did your reboot. Before you do this kind of crazy stuff.
    5.
    This along with a TCP/IP reset using the netsh command:
    netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt

    Did you download and then install the Windows support software according to the Boot Camp instructions? You install the Windows support software from within Windows after you install Windows.

  • Formatting issue with network printer

    I have a bitmap report with a repeating frame (1/2" X 2") that
    prints 3 across and 10 down per page in Reports 10g(9.0.4)
    Text inside the frame is size 8 Helvetica. I am getting a huge difference
    in formatting when I send it directly to network printer(in Unix) versus
    when I do STD Screen in Pdf format and send it to local printer in windows.
    Output in network printer is bigger and wider, it almost overflows from the
    page, where as its perfectly fine when I display the output in Pdf and send it to
    local printer.
    Is there a way to fix this problem so the output looks exactly the same whether
    you send it to network printer or to pdf?

  • Issue with network printing after installation of 10.5.6.

    Ehhmm, sorry if I disturb, but can you help me? I cannot print/scan over wireless time capsule since I have installed 10.5.6. The printer is connected to a windows cable network. Before everything performed perfectly. The printer is a HP Photosmart 3210 all in one. I have already installed the newest software.

    i tried the firewall settings, but that didn't help.
    after reading for hours, downloading useless drivers, resetting the printer, plugging and unplugging and on and on, i uninstalled and then reinstalled by HP printer software (the disc that came with the printer years ago) for the second time. Configured the printer with the printer USB plugged into my Airbook. That was never the problem - always worked fine.
    Then I turned the printer off, plugged the USB into the Airport Extreme Base Station, unplugged the Airport Extreme Base Station, plugged it back in, turned the printer on. And lo and behold when i went to my SysPrefs, Print and Fax, and added another printer, it was recognized as a bonjour printer (that was always the case - the hold up was that it wouldn't find an appropriate driver), and when I chose AutoSelect for the driver, it came up with one! This was where the hang up was before. It selected a 2.2.9 driver, and when the printer is plugged directly into my computer via USB it uses a 4.0.1 driver - who knows why. but it's printing.
    i had also read that it might be impossible to run this particular HP officejet all-in-one (5510v) wirelessly, so i'm very happy. hope this can help someone else.

  • Many issues with network of 2 AE and one AEBS

    I have a well functioning small WDS network of two airport express (AE) stations, a wireless printer, a G4 iMac and a 12" PB. One of the AE is hooked into the cable modem with an ethernet cable and is set-up as the main base station. The other functions as a remote to extend the network.
    I bought an Airport Extreme N base station (AEBS). My intention is to use it as a a file server. I've attached a powered USB hub and two USB hard drives to it. I'd also like it to be available on my existing WDS network, so I needn't change networks everytime I want to access files through the AEBS.
    The AEBS has version 7.0. I haven't been able to update the version in Airport Utility, because it kind of hangs up (stays at 0%) and then fails.
    Problems:
    1) to solve the firmware update issue: Do I need to set-up the AEBS to access the internet first? When I'm on my small WDS network, I can't see the base station, since it is setup as a separate network. When I switch to the AEBS network, obviously I do not have internet access. So how do I update the firmware? What could be the reason for the update error?
    2) The AEBS file sharing network was available yesterday, but today I can not access it from my Mac (neither the Mac nor the AEBS was put to sleep or powered down during that time). I was in the process of erasing the whole HD so I could do a fresh wireless backup. The menu bar icon for the airport disc shows my AEBS disk, but I can't connect to it. I enter my password to access the AEBS network and then the connection fails. What could be the cause? Do I need to reset the AEBS everytime? Is there an automatic logoff somehwere I need to disable?
    3) I tried manually setting up the AEBS to join my WDS network. I followed all the instructions: i.e. adding the MAC address of the AEBS to my main station setup and indicating the AEBS to participate in a wireless network as a remote relay and adding the main station MAC to the setup. Channels are set-up automatically. DHCP is also automatic. However, I get an eror message when updating it. Basically it will say someting to the effect that the AEBS can no longer be found. What could be the cause of this?
    (Airpot Utility worked great when I added my second AE to the WDS network. But when doing exactly the same for the AEBS, I get error messages as above.)

    I solved all my problems mentioned above. It took a while to figure out.
    First I discovered that connecting the Airport Extreme N Basestation (AEBS) to an existing WDS network gave me continuous errors: I couldn't update the firmware from 7.0 to 7.1.1 etc.
    So I reset my Airport Express (Ax) which was previously acting as a remote and I reset the AEBS. I kept the Ax (which was acting as a main station and is attached by ethernet to the cable modem) as is. I set up all 3 near each other.
    While keeping the reset Ax and AEBS in default settings, I selected my existing Network in the airport menu icon and then I selected the AEBS in the Airport Utility and was able to update the firmware of the AEBS.
    Settings for the Ax acting as a main station: WDS settings: Participate in WDS; allow wireless clients. Internet: I set connection sharing to "share public IP address". DHCP and NAT at default settings. Channel 6. ( I discovered that the main station and the two remotes need to be on the same channel!). Set up as a main station, allow wireless clients and and added Mac addresses of the Ax and AEBS. Updated.
    Then I started by adding the AEBS the WDS Network created by the main station: participate in network; allow network to be extended = off. Set up as a WDS remote. Allow wireless clients. Added main station Mac address. Internet connection sharing = off. File sharing enabled. Channel 6. Updated.
    Same set-up for the Ax as a remote.
    Now I can access my two USB drives wirelessly over the network and each remote has an IP address.
    I did a speed test over my wireless connection for internet speed. Results: Download: 9442 kBit/s
    Upload: 1006 kBit/s
    Answer time: 13ms
    So everything is OK!
