Printer LCD stuck in demo mode

The LCD screen on the printer cycles through the demo mode and no longer goes into power saving mode.  It used to work properly but now is stuck in demo mode.
Any ideas?  Thanks.

@ azloafer
There is an option in the setup menu of this printer to enter and exit Demo Mode.  If you currently are on the photo screen for the demo mode, then you will need to press the Home button in the top left of the display to get to the main menu.
* Press the Wrench in the top right of the touch display to enter the setup menu
* Select Tools
* Scroll down to Demo Mode and set to Off
Hope this helps.

  • HT5012 Bought a ipad3, which is stuck in demo mode. Any suggestions on how to remove the demo setting.

I knew the iPad was demo when I purchased, but I didn't think after I bought and restored it the demo settings would still be in affect. Hoping anyone knows how to help me remove the demo mode so I can download apps.

Restore the device using iTunes and your computer:  http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1414
Do not restore from backup.  Set up the device from scratch once you're out of demo mode.

  • Stuck in demo mode?

    Hi Everyone,
I'm sure this is a silly noob situation. I picked up an iPad2 today. I skipped the in store set up help and did it myself at home. Seemed to work ok.
But now I'm realizing I can't delete the demo apps off of my iPad. It sync'd the iphone apps that I had. I have tried deleting the apps both from the ipad itself (by holding down on apps) and by deleting from inside iTunes.
It keeps replacing them in itunes. Additionally, it plays the demo video when the ipad has gone inactive for awhile.
Do I need to do a total reinstall of OS?

A brand new iPad 2 has no demo mode and no demo apps.
Why should there be a demo mode anyway?
When you turn on your iPad 2 for the very first time, it wants to connect to iTunes.
This is shown on its screen by displaying the USB cable and mentioning iTunes.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500A Plus printer is stuck in maintenance mode

I have had my 8500A for over 6 months without incident, but tonight it suffered its first paper jam -- and though I removed all visible paper, the error message said I still needed to open the access and clear the jam.  I thought a reboot might help so I turned off the power and after a few seconds turned it back on.  I got a message saying the printer was checking itself and that this might take a few minutes.  I let it run for literally 2 hours with this same message showing before pressing the red X on the control panel to try and exit this mode.  Now I have an error mesage saying "maintenance cannot be interrupted" and the printer remains frozen.  Any ideas on how I can get it to operate again?

I am sorry that no one saw this to respond sooner, but I am going to see if there is anything I can do to help.
First, we are going to try to do a specific type of reset. What I want you to do is open the printer and remove the ink cartridges as well as the print head from the machine. The print head should have a lever on the right-hand side that will lift up to release it.
Once these are all removed from the machine, unplug the printer from both the back of the unit and the wall outlet for thirty seconds. Then plug the machine back in and wait for the error message for a missing/damaged printhead. Now replace the pinthead in the machine and close the top. When the machine indicates that the ink cartridges are likewise missing/damaged, replace those too in the machine.
Here, if you all goes well, the machine should re-enter its diagnostics and initialization.
Additionally, here is a little information on resets: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Other-Printing-Questions/Printer-Resets-What-You-Should-Know/m-p/234739...
Let me know how this goes!

  • Printer is stuck in fax mode

hp officejet 4215xi all in one,,,,,,,,windows 7 64- bit,,,,,,,,no error messages,,,,,,,,,,no changes made to system

    Hi,
Please clerify your meaning by Fax Mode,
Is there a Fax dialog appearing while printing or any other behaviour?
If there is a Fax Dialog, make sure the Officejet 4200 Series printer is selected and not the 4200 Series Fax by misttake,
You should see it listed while performing a print (File > Print)
    A printers list should appear.
Clerify if you may not seeing the series printer at all or any other behaviour

  • My bloggie duo is stuck on demo mode. Help??

Every time I turn it on, a commercial plays and then it goes dark. No matter what button I press, nothing will work! If I plug it into my computer and pull it out, it works fine. I also went into the settings menu after unplugging it from the computer and set the "demo" to off, but it still comes on. How do I get it back to normal? Thank you in advance to whoever can help!(:

What is the model number of your Bloggie? This usually begons with the initials MHS.

My HP printer--HP Photosmart C4200 All-in-One is stuck in scan mode.  I have tried holding start button 60 sec, unplug from power supply, hold while I plug back in with no luck.

    Hi @Bungybill,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand that you cannot copy or scan with your HP Photosmart 3110 on Mac. I am happy to help!
For further assistance, I will need to know:
The version number of the Mac Operating System. To find the exact version, visit this link. Whatsmyos.
If the power cable is plugged into a surge protector, or directly to the wall outlet. Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector. This applies to Inkjet printers as well.
If you make a copy, and lift the lid, do you see a light come on and the scanner bar move?

  • Apple TV 2 is stuck in demo / retail mode!

    Hi everyone!
I bought my in-laws a nice new Apple TV 2 (from the Apple Company Store, no less!) yesterday, and I set it up this afternoon.  The unit was working fine all afternoon, but their ancient AirPort Extreme (flying saucer type) was dying.  My brother in law ran over to Best Buy and grabbed a new Belkin Dual-Band router, and we set it up with no problems.
However, at some point during the router swap and re-config of the Apple TV, the Apple TV seems to have gotten into Retail Demo mode! It will only connect to the original Apple router - with the new router connected, the ATV gives the standard "Your Apple TV isn't connected to the Network" error.  Furthermore, while we can go into the Settings menu, any attempt to select any of the options results in a "bonk" error tone and nothing else.  We are able to go into the Screen Saver options, and while it lists all the normal savers, the only one it will select is "Retail," which displays the stock photos seen on an Apple TV at the Apple Store.  We can't select Restore (gives the error tone), and rebooting the unit (via the remote or just by unplugging it) has no effect.
Given that several people were tinkering with it during the router swap, it's possible that someone pressed just the right combo of buttons to put it into Retail mode... but I have no idea how to put it back!
    Any ideas?
PS  I would happily restore it, but as I'm visiting my in-laws (flew from Cupertino to Vegas this morning) I don't have my MacBook Pro with me, and their old iBook is probably far too old to do the job.

Hi!  Thanks for taking the time to respond...
I know a bit about the retail / demo mode, since in my old job with Apple (I was an Apple Solutions Consultant for several years), when we would set up an (first-gen) Apple TV demo unit, we would load it with a customer firmware which acted exactly like this new unit is.  As a remember, when a locked menu item was highlighted (i.e. Network or Reset), there was a special code of left and right presses on the remote to temporarily unlock the item when needed... but it's been years, and I can't recall the code (if it even works anymore).
On the first-gen demo units there was a special version of the OS that we would load via a flash drive, but I'm guessing that the new ones have the demo mode built-in.  I just wish I knew exactly what sequence of button-presses got us into this jam!
As for restoring it with the iBook, the system is still running Tiger, so that's a no-go.  I've made an appt. with a nearby Apple Store for tomorrow morning, and I'll just use one of their Genius Bar laptops to restore it.
What a strange way to spend my first day of vacation!

  • Word stuck in Draft Mode

ONE Word file is stuck in draft mode. It can't be the normal.dotx file because it's not affecting other files. Starting in safe mode doesn't change a thing. All the tricks I've read on various forums about changing the columns etc don't do anything. I even
tried checking the option to allow opens in draft, so that I could then uncheck it (since it was opening in draft even when that open was not checked). Nothing works.
I read in another forum that the only solution is to select the entire contents of the document and save it to Notepad, so that it is txt. Then just start over. I have quite a bit of formatting and I'd rather not, but I guess it won't kill me.
    Any better ideas?

I'm having this problem too. I use Word 2013. I'm tracking changes on this document, so cutting and pasting is not an option.
And yes, I HAVE tried clicking on "View tab | Print Layout". Obviously, that was the first thing I tried. I tried it
many times. I tried closing the file, reopening it, and clicking "View tab | Print Layout". I tried redownloading
the file, opening it, and clicking "View
tab | Print Layout". I tried having the file resent, both as .docx and .doc,, opening it, and clicking "View
    tab | Print Layout".
    It's not in protected view.
Nothing has worked. Please let me know how to fix this.

  • Apple TV (3rd Generation Retail Demo Mode

    Hey guys!
I'm kinda stuck here. I've been trying to activate the retail demo mode on Apple TV (3rd Generation) using the Right, Right, Left, Center button combination for our store demo model. That part worked, but from what i've read, there is supposed to be a retail demo reel that plays and I cannot get that part to work. It shows up in the screensaver section but when it activates, it starts up the normal floating photos from National Geographic. Does anyone know?! Please help
    Baz

Not at all unfortunately. Must only be available for Official Apple Stores. Kept trying all the time, to no avail. Never mind

  • PRS-T1 has changed to demo mode. How do I get it back to normal?

User guides and manuals both printed and online are useless.
Online troublshooting tips are not correct (tells me to press buttons that do not even exist on my unit.)
Links provided to others that have asked this same question also do not work.
Demo locks the user out of most of the features (including the ability to power off) and I have used a pin to push the reset button at least a zillion times with absolutely no results... How the heck did demo get turned on to begin with and how can I get it off and assure that this never happens again!!!?
    Feeling very frustrated right now!!!

    Hi “mrl1975”
I’m so sorry, but you are right!!!
The enable/disable procedure described on https://us.en.kb.sony.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/32974/c/65,66/p/73878,73935,73936/
    is not for PRS-T1!!!
This is the correct answer for how to activate/deactivate Demo Mode on the PRS-T1 e-Reader Wi-Fi device. Just follow these steps:
How to activate/deactivate Demo Mode on the e-Reader PRS-T1 Wi-Fi device:
    1. Perform a Soft Reset on PRS-T1 e-Reader device
    2. Press the Power Button in order to turn the e-Reader on.
    3. While "Opening book..."  is displayed
press and hold pressed the Previous and Back buttons.
    4. Once the Home Screen displayed
wait 5 seconds at least, before releasing the Previous and Back buttons.

  • Print jobs stuck in queue after printer goes auto off

Hi all!We have an HP LaserJet M125NW printer in the office, which is connected directly to the network (wired). The problem is, once the printer goes to "auto off" mode, the print jobs get stuck in the queue, and we need to restart the printer every time. After the restart, it works fine, until it goes auto off again. The device has a fix ip, and it can be seen on the network, everything sems okay, but it still doesn't print. I tried different computers, different operating systems, nothing works. Could anyone help me with this annoying situation?

, Welcome to the forums  I read about the printing issue you're having with your LaserJet M125NW, that will not seem to wake up when you send the print job to be printed out. Below is what I would first suggest trying. Select Setup, System Setup, Energy Settings, Wake/Auto On Events, and in that menu, select "LAN Job" to see if this will help wake the printer up when you send it a print command. Also ensure you have the power to the unit plugged in directly to a wall outlet. Avoid power bars and surge protectors, which ensures the printer is receiving the full power it needs.  Let me know what happens, good luck

    Hey there @kennyb1!
Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!
To turn off the demo mode on the printer you will need to press the setup icon (wrench icon) at the top right corner of the printer.  Once in the setup menu press "Tools".  Scroll all the way down and you should be able to press "Demo Mode" and turn it off.
Let me know if that works for you!

  • HP Veer stuck in USB Mode

I'm stuck. went to charge my veer and it got stuck in usb mode and will not come out. I also didnt set up a palm profile so can't downlod webos to fix it. Tried the palm pre webdoctor and it said my phone was fixed (after an hour or so). So iturn it back on and its tuck in usb mode with that huge usb sign. Nothing else works...no calling, transfers, not even emergency calls. How do I either get it unstuck or reset my palm profile to use webdoctor?
Post relates to: HP Veer p160una (AT&T)

You can do a hard reset of the printer (pulling the power cord out with the printer on, waiting 30 seconds and then plugging it back in)
You are still in warranty if you just purchased this 2 months ago. I suggest you call 1-800-HPINVENT.
You will need to provide your name, phone number, email address, serial and product number for this printer.
