Printer Paper

Hi
Thanks for your help with my last question and now have a functioing printer.
Have another one though, as am trying to print some photos but in the paper list when go to select the type cannot see photo paper, can see plenty of lengthy reference numberss that seem meaning or normal non photo paper. Any help gratefully received.
Thanks again
regards
Phil

If you are not using paper from the printer manufacturer, check with the paper manufacturer's specifications. Kodak, in particular, lists the settings that you should use when using their paper on other manufacturer's printers. Once you have them set, save it as a preset.

  • HP Photosmart 2610 All in One Printer Paper feeds OK but the software and sensors are a problem

HP Photosmart 2610 All in One Printer   Paper feeds OK but the software and sensors are not allowing paper to feed until several steps are taken first.
(I am using Windows 7.  I also use the virtual XP mode and mostly MS Office 2003 docs).
I have had this printer for several years and love it.  Before I toss it out, I thought I would check if I could get it to work properly before I buy another printer.  Note: I did put in a new HP black cartridge (because it was out of ink) but the printer was not working properly for several days before I changed the cartridge. The printer was at step 5 before ink change.
Lately, each time I turn on my printer, I have to go through the same routine
    1. The printer wants to align the cartridges so I push OK
    2. The paper feeds into the printer and stops at the exact place to start printing.
    3. Error message appears that it is out of paper.  So I press OK to continue.
    4. It says "aligning print cartridges" runs through 2 sheets of blank paper without trying to do anything and then states "cartridge alignment failed"  "Press OK to continue"
    5. Screen is now normal and it appears it is going to work.
    6. It makes no difference if I used the copy function OR when I send a print job from the computer, the paper feeds into the printer and stops at the exact place to start printing but nothing happens.
    7. Error message appears that it is out of paper. OR that it is the wrong size paper.  I pull the paper that was at the proper place to be printed from the printer and then the error message says "Paper jam.  Press OK to continue"
    8.  I press OK.  The printer will then quickly feed in and eject 2 sheets of paper before it will actually start printing the print job.  It will work fine after this as long as I print from the same document.
    9. If I want to print a different document then I have to start all over again at step 6 to get the printer to work.  If I shut the printer off I have to go back to step 1.
    What I have already tried
    A.  Uninstalled and reinstalled the printer driver direct from HP web site.  I have done this several times with both the basic driver download and the complete package download.
    B.  I have done a partial reset by unplugging the printer, and then re-plugging the printer while pushing the  "# and 3" buttons while turning on the printer.  I have done this several times.  Each time it will work fine until I try a different document of turn off the printer.
    C. I have downloaded the HP Print and Scan Doctor and used it several times.  It states that "everything checks out OK"
    D. I have downloaded the HP Hardware Diagnostic Utility 4.0 but it does not work with my printer.
    E.  I have cleaned all the rollers and blown air throughout to make sure there were no bits of junk in the paper's path or blocking a sensor.
    F.  I have tried different brands and weights of paper (all 8½  x 11) but nothing works.
Most of the problems started when I added the printer to the virtual machine so I could print XP files.  This may just be a coincidence because the printer has the same problems when I use the copy function without the computer being on.
Thanks for looking at my issues.  Any help would certainly be appreciated.

I just tried using Notepad as you suggested and had the same result.  Paper feeds in stops at proper place and error message "out of paper"
I just put in two new HP ink cartridges because the other two were low and I was told that this might be the problem.
I seem to remember that the HP 2610 shows 2 "ink icons" in the lower left corner.  One for black and one for color.  The ink icons would change from completly full to just an outline as the amount of ink went down.  Currently the black ink icon is missing
This is a very frustrating problem because the printer works great after doing a few steps to get around the problem.  The fact that the problem reoccurs any time anything is changed is the major problem
Most of the problems started when I added the printer to the Windows 7 virtual machine so I could work with Windows XP programs.  This may just be a coincidence because the printer still has the same problems when I use the copy function without the computer even being on.
I want to thank you for all of your efforts.  Perhaps this is a unique problem that will never be solved and it is best to take my losses and buy a new printer.  As a last chance, if possible, could you refer my post to someone who is an expert with the HP 2610 printer.

  • Where are printer paper profiles stored in Mavericks?

In previous versions of OS X, I could find where my printer paper profiles were stored. I have some test paper profiles that don't work and I want to delete them but I can't find them in Mavericks 10.9.2 I have done a search for their name but apparently they are hidden although they show up in Photoshop and the Printer dialog box. What and where is the folder I need to look in? Thanks for your help.

  • CHECK PRINTING PAPER

    HI SIRS
JUST FOR KNOWLEDGE I WANT TO KNOW THAT WHO GIVES CHECK PRINTING PAPER?
IS BANK PROVIDING THE SAME PAPER? WHAT DETAILS WE NEED TO FILL IN THAT?
IF THE PAYMENT DOCUMENT IS MORE THAN 1 THEN HOW WE MANAGE?
    THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!!

    Hi,
    Please use Lowe Case..
Pre Printed Cheque Stationary is issued by bank. It can be of a format as required by your client. ie: it can be either only the cheque which is continous or Cheque *** advice which is again continous.
Now, your second question, as to what happens, when the advic eis more than one page, in that case, any spill over from the main page is printed on a separate sheet of paper.
In F110 where you maintain Variant, you have the option of ticking what you want the system to print.. Cheque Summary, Cheques and Payment Advice.
Do let me know if you need any further clarity..

  • Officejet 6500 duplex printing paper jam

Every time I run duplex printing, paper stucks inside duplexing unit. It just gets smashed.
Is there a solution for that?

I have just bought an OfficeJet 6500 and am also having major problems if I try to use automatic duplex printing. The first side prints ok then waits a while to dry but when it tries to print the second side the printer jams every time. When I remove the duplexing unit the paper is always concertina'ed between the unit and the rollers inside the printer. If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd be really grateful! This is one of the features I was hoping to make use of.

  • I need to print save the date magnets that are 8.5x5.5 but I can't seem to align the printer / paper

I need to print save the date magnets that are 8.5x5.5 but I can’t seem to align the printer / paper to print correctly!! HELP!

Please read this post then provide some details.  What printer model? What operating system? What program are you using to print?
How thick are the magnet sheets?  I would expect most printers would have trouble feeding this material.

  • I need to display the data of smartform in the printed paper (Invoice)

    Hi Experts,
I have a requirement where i need to print the invoice. The paper is already printed with respective Text. When this printed paper is placed to the printer, I need to print my data in the respective places.
The standard output type is rd00.
For this i have created a separate output type with customized program and smartform.
I have taken the exact measurement of the paper and designed my smartform layout accordingly, But when i print my data it is not at all fitting at the space provided.
    Please help me on this.
It would be great. If you can provide me your email id, I can forward the scanned copy of the printed paper.
    Thanks in advance.

thats an issue of page size then, either in your printer type or in your form you have a not according paper size declared.
    Hi Floren,
How should I declare what paper size is this? Where do i need to make the changes? My Actual Paper is a invoice stationary paper.
The measurement of the paper is below.
    Total width is 24.2 cm
    Total Height is 27.8 cm
    Data starts from
    Upper MArgin 0.5 cm
Total Left Margin - 2.2cm  (This paper has punched holes on both right hand left side) including this hole measurement.
If i exclude the whole measurement, it comes to 0.85 cm.
Total Right MArgin - 2cm (This includes the hole measurement)
If it excludes the measurement, it comes to  0.6 cm.
    Bottom Margin
    is 0.3 cm
The actual data should be printed in is 20.2 cm width and height is 27.6 cm( In this the header of measurement 3.6cm is printed already with text and at the footer 2.2 cm is already printed with the text.
This is the page size of my paper. Please suggest me how should i go on.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Abdur Rafique

  • HT1338 my Epson R3000 will not load printer paper

Hi, my Epson R3000 will not load printing paper and say's there is communication error, has  any one had this problem? , thanks

Yes, 90% of the time I try to print something I get that error, and have been gettign that error for years, since the days of OS X Leopard. I have been pausing/resuming each printer to get it to start transferring files again, or, sometimes it won't work and I have to go through the wifi setup again, or unplug cat5 cable and plug it back in, or power cycle the printer if on USB.
I contacted Epson, and as you most likely know, they have no qualified personnel. They got me throuhg the obvious steps like removing the drivers, re-installing them (I actually did a find / -name "*epson*" and removed everything I found), rebooting the router (poor thing has nothing to do with it, it's working fine otherwise), swapping cat5 cables, usb cables.
I have 3 of these R3000 printers and they all exhibit the same issues. All of my other printers connected to the same computer/router/wifi do not exhibit this issue. I have Artisan 50 (usb), the 1400 (usb), and 3 Artisan 835s (wifi).
The things I hate most about  Epson and its printers are the following:
    - they come with 0 support form Epson. If you know what find . -name is, you're already more qualified than any CS rep that's going to answer
    - their drivers get updates very slowly for the OS X platform at least
    - only some older printers will how you # printed pages/ # pages remaining. The R3000 for example shows "spooling job, 3% complete". Very informative.
    - the printer driver for the R3000 creates some kind of proxy files that are HUGE in size, and it's done every time, for each page. It effectively takes 10 minutes to start printing 60 copies of 300DPI letter size photoshop designed files. The printer definitely doesn't have 5GB of RAM or temporary space to hold all that, so why not START FREAKING PRINTING while that stuff goes on in the background for subsequent pages? And if it's the same exact graphic, why doesn't the computer just simply send the first generated proxy file 60 times in a row rather than create 60 different proxy files?
    - all Epson printers I've ever played with will stop printing mid page when it thinks it's out of ink. This determination is done in the chip of the cartridge in combination with the printer firmware, not by actual reading of the ink levels. I would much prefer that the printer would continue to print that page and stop after. Less wasted paper, and the cartridges I throw out ALWAYS have enough ink in them to finish printing one silly page.
    - print quality doesn't change until you spend $500 or more on a printer (print heads are virtually the same type/size on all of Artisan printers for example), ignoring, of course, dye ink vs pigment ink
    - did I mention no qualified customer service personnel and complete disinterest in taking any customer feedback into consideration?
In conclusion, I am very sorry to let you know that I have yet to find a solution to this, and Epson has been ignoring it for years. If you do bump into something worthwhile though, please post it here.
    Thank you!

    1. Open Premiere Elements 8.0.1 and set the project preset (new project dialog) = PAL AVCHD Full HD1080i25.
    2. In the program, Edit Menu/Preferences/General, have a check mark next to "Default Scale to Frame Size".
    3. Right click the Edit Mode Monitor, select Magnification, and have the set on "Fit".
    4.  Using Premiere Elements' Get Media/Files & Folders, import your  AVCHD 1920x 1080 16:9 video into the program. (You will see your video  in the Organizer.)
    5. Drag your video from the Organizer to the Timeline. Are you seeing a 4:3 version of it in the Edit Mode Monitor?
    6. If so, click on the Project Tab in the row below the active Organize (Blue) Tab to bring up the Project Media View.
    7. In the Project Media View, right click your video in the list to bring up the Interpret Footage dialog.
    8.  In the Interpret Footage dialog, under Pixel Aspect Raio, dot the  "Conform to:" and change the setting = Square Pixels (1.0). After you  click OK to that, see what your video now looks like in the Edit Mode  Monitor.
    Miscelleanous
    1. You can also use the Interpret Footage dialog for Frame Rate considerations.
    2.  Although the gspot read out does not give a reading for PAR (Pixel  Aspect Ratio), the PAR can be calculated from the SAR and DAR values  given since PAR = DAR/SAR and, in your case, 1.778/1.778 = 1.0. The DAR  is Display Aspect Ratio and the SAR is Storage Aspect Ratio.
    3.  What is the duration (seconds, minutes, hours) of the video that you  have been trying to use in Premiere Elements 8.0.1. You are working with  AVCHD which is a very resourve demanding format, and it appears that  you have 2 GB RAM installs that probably translates in much less  available and you do not say how much free hard drive space your  computer has. But, if the video in question is only of a few seconds  duration, we should be able to work through this pixel aspect ratio  issue.

  • How can i print out a larger image of my VI on standard printer paper?

When I select the scale to fit option for my block diagram when attempting to print, the image that is printed is too small for my purposes. However, when I uncheck the scale to fit option for the block diagram, my VI is too tall to be displayed on one page. Is there anyway to scale the image differently while printing? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

You should design you front panel to more closely match the aspect ratio of the paper.
A possible solution would also be to create a special subVI with the desired print layout. Whenever you want to print, call it with the current display data and make sure to set it to "print when complete".

  • Can I programmatically change the printer paper size from ActionScript?

    Hi,
I'm a newbie Flash/ActionSript developer and I have been searching for answers for a while with no luck. I wonder if I can get some pointers from this forum.
I'm trying to programmatically print a movie clip to 8.5" x 11" plain paper regardless of the current paper size setting in the printer. e.g if the user's printer is currently set to use paper size A4, can I change the setting to Letter (8.5" x 11") from ActionScript at runtime? I use PrintJob class for printing the movieclip.
According to the ActionScript online API spec ( http://www.adobe.com/livedocs/flash/9.0/main/wwhelp/wwhimpl/common/html/wwhelp.htm?context =LiveDocs_Parts&file=00002066.html), I can only READ the paper size setting after the call to PrintJob.start. I can't believe that we are not allowed to change the setting. Maybe I missed something here. Can somebody help me out?
    Thanks in advance!
