Printer Pool does not appear in Available Printer list

I run a school lab with 35 iMacs in it. We have 2 network printers. I am trying to set up a print queue on our XServe to pool the printers so that jobs will go to whichever one is free/not out of paper/etc. I have successfully set up queues for the individual printers and I have created a printer pool, which I set as the default queue.
The problem is that when I look in the students' available printer list, all I see are the queues for the individual printers and not the pool. How do I make the pool appear so that I can set it as the default printer for the students?

Start by rebooting the computer. If that doesn't work, search for adobefnt*.lst and delete all instances where * becomes a 2-digit number.

Try the HP site. Apple's drivers come from the printer vendors.
Don't be all that surprised if there isn't an updated driver available; HP don't support superceded models with updates for every OS update.

Firefox 4 upgrade how do I reset Yahoo toolbar as its does not appear in dropdown VIEW list? Also Norton Internet Security 2011 does not flag up safe/unsafe sites on browser. Help

Just upgraded to Firefox 4. My Yahoo toolbar has disappeared and I can't work out how to reset it as it does not appear in the View drop-down list. Also NIS 2011 no longer flags up safe/unsafe sites when browsing.

For the Yahoo toolbar, make sure you have the latest version that is compatible with Firefox 4, available from https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/yahoo-toolbar
Symantec need to update their Firefox add-ons so that they are compatible with Firefox 4. They have indicated that for Norton 360 they plan to release an update to Norton 360 to support Firefox 4 in early May - http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20100720113635EN&ln=en_US
I do not know about the time scale for updates for other Norton products. Pending the update by Symantec, if you want to use the Norton add-ons you will need to downgrade to Firefox 3.6.
To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

Acrobat 9 Professional Does not Appear in the Programs list

One of our users does have Acrobat installed, and can open and use it. However, the shortcut that is in his start menu brings up the Installer. Acrobat does not appear in the installed prograns list in Programs and Features (WIN7). I don't see an Adobe group in the start menu, or when searching the task-bar. the Desktop shortcut links to the correct folder/acrobat.exe.
Any reason why this program would NOT show up as having been installed, when it very clearly IS installed and working correctly?
(Also, not sure if I'm in the right 'community', please redirect me if i'm in error.)

Please try repairing Acrobat from the 'Help' menu and check.
Also check if Acrobat has been updated to the latest patch i.e. v9.5.5

IPad does not appear in iTunes Devices list

My MacBook Pro, iPhone, and iPad are all on the same network, however my iPad frequently does not appear in iTunes Devices when not physically connected by USB. No problem with my iPhone. Anyone else with this problem? Any solution? (Yes, all OS/iTunes softwares are current.)
Further detail, to temporarily fix this issue, I physically connect my iPad via USB to sync it. Temporarily the iPad will be seen in the device list allowing sycing to occur while remotely charging, but at some random time later my iPad is no longer found by iTunes - again without the physical USB link. So, yes there is a work around, but it is annoying to be so up and down with this feature.
Any ideas are appreciated.

Bluetooth speaker does not appear in "playback devices" list

I'm having trouble controlling my new Auvio HBT2000W speaker via bluetooth from my Y580 ideapad running Windows 8.1. They successfully pair, but the speaker does not appear in the "playback devices" to output my audio to. This may be related, but when in "devices and pritners", if I right click on the Auvio HBT2000W and select "control", the window that pops up (shown below) always closes after about 2 seconds. I have tried all the unpairing/repairing, restarting, etc.I've tried updating the bluetooth driver with the one posted on this website.I've disabled the "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" on the Qualcomm Atheros AR8161 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.30)I've made sure that all "services" are enabled in the properties window for the Auvio HBT2000W.I've even tried the Windows troubleshooter... which of course says that everything is fine and working properly. Anyone seen this before or have any ideas?Thanks!

Album marked as "purchased" but does not appear in my purchased list

I am trying to re-download an album I bought about eight months ago, because somehow all but a few of the songs from that album were lost. It does not appear in my purchased music list, on my iPhone or iTunes on my PC, in fact none of the album, whether it is whatever remaining on my drive or not, appears. However, if I search for the album, in this case Trio Mediaeval's Folk Songs, the button used to purchase the album is greyed out and says "Purchased." It does not give me the option to download the songs though. How can I remedy this? Thanks.

My camera does not appear in the source list on 9.2.3

after updating my camera software, my camera no longer appears in the source list on iphoto '11. I am running version 9.2.3 of iphoto on a MacBook (OS X 10.6.8). I'm not sure how to revert to the previous verson befor the update. Any ideas?

Since you do not tell us any information about the actual problem except that it does not work a couple of things to try are generally the problem - make sure the camera is set to mass storage mode - that is what iPhoto expencts - and once you get your photos safely off the card (image capture maybe or if it moiunts to the desktop the finder) use the camera to reformat it

Edit web part option does not appear in browser on lists

I've inserted some lists on a wiki page. However, when viewing in the browser the checkbox and the dropdown containing the Edit Web Part option do not appear. On the properties tag I thought I enabled all the correct properties such as Allow Edit, Allow
Minimize etc. What am I missing?

According to your description, my understanding is that the Edit web part option disappeared in the list web part.
I recommend to check if the account has permission to edit the web part, please check the permission of the account in Site Permissions and the list permissions.
Please also check if the target audience is set in the web part.

Before you purchased the app in iTunes, did you have Settings > iTunes & App Store > [Automatic Downloads] Apps = "On"?

Cannot open any Pages documents made prior to upgrading to Yosemie. Pages does not appear in the iCloud list in system preferences.

Upgraded to Yosemite. Upgraded Pages to latest version. Uninstalled older versions of pages (made with iWork '09). Now I cannot open any Pages documents made prior to upgrading. I keep getting the same redundant message: "You need a newer version of Pages to open this document. You can download the latest version of Pages from the Mac App Store." Not sure if this is relevant, but Pages does not show up in the iCloud list in systems preferences.

MiFi 4510L does not appear in available netwroks. Can't connect device.

I can't seem to get my MiFi 4510L to show up in the available networks on seveal devices and it is driving me nuts.
Here is what's happening..I turn the thing on and it goes through its Green-Purple dance and then settles on a solid green - that means I have 4G from what I have read. I have 5 bars and a full battery yet it will not show as an available Network on any of my devices.
I pulled the battery, resat the SIM card, did a reset but still nothing. Call Tech and they shipped me a new one...
Put the old battery and SIM in and turned it on...it should up for a minute on my iPad (RIP SJ) & laptop but then disappeared. Now no matter what I do it won't appear as an available network.
Now the minute I take it outside, there it is..no problems and lightening fast. I take it inside (I can see where I was outside from my window), not a peep...**bleep**? It this thing so sketchy that a window is gonna make or break it? Does the 5 bars & solid green mean something other than "all is good"? Before you ask, I have already checked with the dog and he is not running a signal jammer..if only it were that easy..

I just had the same issue. It was working for 1 week and I was using the connection yesterday. Today I tried to get on tonight and the laptop couldn't see the SSID. I rebooted the device a few times, removed the battery and still no go. I was about to give up and rebooted it once more and then the SSID popped up. I had a nice green 4G light and 3-4 bars for Verizon signal the whole time (when it wasn't rebooting), but no SSID showing up in a laptop right next to it. I read in another post that if the wireless can't auto assign a channel that it may not bring up the wireless network. I only have 3 other wireless networks visible in on the computer (ps I had other computers that could not see the SSID either), so I wouldn't think that is the issue. I almost set the channel to a specific number, but figured I'd let it go and see what happens.

For the contact, you will initially just receive an acknowledgement email, the proper reply may take 24 (possibly 48) hours.
