Printer prints images too small

Whenever i try and print an image, or even a text selection, the printer prints out the image or selection in a small form. (only takes up a little of a corner of the top left of the page.) Im not sure of how to adjust the setting to make it where images or webpages will print and fill the entire page of white paper.

I probably should have mentioned its an HP D110 touchsmart lol

My Pixma 8120B prints everything too small. How do I adjust the print size please?

    Hi merlin,
You can adjust the size of what you are printing by following these steps:
     1.  Open the item you wish to print.
     2.  Click on File and then Print.  If File is not visible, please press the <ALT> key on your keyboard.
     3.  Click Preferences.  If this is not available, click Properties.
     4.  Click on the Page Setup tab.
     5.  Under Page Layout, select "Scaled".
     6.  Next to Scaling, increase the percentage to 150 or 200.
     7.  Click Apply and then OK.
    Print the item.

  • The print is too small on various web sites that I open. How can I correct this?

The print is too small on various web sites that I open. This has never happened on older Firefox versions. How can I correct this so every page I open, the print size is consistent and legible? I don't want to change it every time I open a new site.

    Hi Donna,
Welcome to the HP Community Forum.
Font Size and the scale (size) at which a document is printed is controlled within the application just before the job is sent to the printer -  this means the size is set from your browser (Firefox, Internet Explorer) or perhaps your Editor (Word).  Generally speaking, most applications use Print Preview -- or a variation of that program under a different name.
An explanation and the use of Print Preview is avialble in the following document:

the print on my printer is too small is there someway to reset it

    Hi there,
I understand you're having an issue with the font being too small when printing. I will certainly do my best to help you with this!
I just have a few questions so I can help you better.
Which model of printer are you working with?
What operating system is on your computer? (Windows or Mac?)
Are you referring to the print on the pages that come out of the printer? Or the text on the screen of the printer is too small?
If it's from the computer, what program are you trying to print from? (Such as Internet Explorer, Microsoft Word, etc.)
Once I have this information I should be able to assist you better!

  • The print is too small have it set as high as 24 to try to change it- not working!

Print is too small-changed several times and now up to 24- not changing!

Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems: <b>View > Zoom > Reset</b> (Ctrl+0 (zero); Cmd+0 on Mac)
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Zoom_text_of_web_pages
You can use one of these extensions to set a default font size and page zoom on web pages:

The print is too small. I can't find anywhere to enlarge it. I've tried settings, but that just changes the density.

hi montadorwatt, when you go into the firefox menu, you'll find a zoom bar at the top which allows you to change the size of a website.

The App Store print is too small for my 7th-decade eyes and is apparently unadjustable.  How does one effectively complain to Apple about this?
    Thanks, Jeremy

    Hi Jeremy...
There's a work around that may help you. The Mac OS X has "accessibity" features installed that can assist in viewing text.
Open System Preferences then select Universal Access then select the Seeing tab.
    Zoom settings are available there.
More about Mac OS X accessiliity here >  Apple - Accessibility - OS X - Vision
You can provide feedback to Apple here >  Apple - Mac OS X - Feedback
If you are not aware, when viewing Safari webpages, you can press Command + (plus)  or Command - (minus) to adjust the size of the page.
For zooming text only, click View from the Safari menu bar then from the drop down menu click Zoom Text Only.

  • My prints are too small

I need help printing a 10 X 20 canvas print.  It keeps printing too small.

You have to provide much more details. What document are you trying to print? What size? What DPI? What printer? What print settings? What system? From a simple "Fit to page option" in the printer driver that you may be overlooking to insufficient size and DPI in teh document itself to physical limitatiios in the printer itself that may restrict the printable area there could be many factors at play here.

  • Prints are too small

I bought a new printer (HP Photosmart D5460) and whenever I print certain PDF files from www.mes-english.com it prints too small. I have large margins on the right side and the bottom. Ive clicked choose paper source by PDF paper size. Ive tried print at actual size, scale to paper size, but it doesnt make any difference. The funny thing is that everything looks normal in the preview, but the actual print comes out way too small. I have this problem only with certain files, and not with others (small game cards, for example http://www.mes-english.com/flashcards/files/adjectives1_cards.pdf). Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

That doesn't work either. Nothing seems to work. Do you have any other suggestions?

  • Print output too small to read

Different pages are scaled between about 90% and 25%,
resulting in text that's too small to read. I don't see any
controls that allow one to seet the scale factor.

I am having the same problem. I created my Flashpaper
document on a Mac in OS 10.3. My file looks fine in the browser,
but when I print it, the document scales. I am using the Flash
Player 9 plugin and this problem seems to exist on any browser I
use on my Mac (Safari, Firefox, Opera). The flashpaper documents on
Adobe's site are doing the same thing to me. Please let me know if
anyone has a solution. Does this happen in anyone else's
    environment (different browser/platform)?

  • Print is too small

    Hi,
When I try to print photos they come out too small. I preview them and they are
shown small in the preview. I select the proper size in the print mode but they
come out small in a corner of the paper. What am I doing wrong? I have printed
before and everything worked great. I have a HP 4315v desk jet all in one printer.

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
What size are the pics? Select one in the iPhoto Window and click on the wee ‘i’ lower left. You’ll see the size expressed in pixels.

  • Trying to print a smiple 3 1/2 X 6 1/2 envelope and printer says too small for the job.I can print

Printer gives me an error message saying a 3 1/2 X 6 1/2 envelope is too small for job.  However, I can print other envelopes with no problem.  ex. 4 1/2 X 10.  Printer model is a C6280.

Set-up a custom envelope with the size that you need.

  • MARS License: Print is too small!

Does anyone else find the size of the type used on the Mars license too small? I'm referring to the license tag on the front panel of the MARS box.
    I'm using a magnifying glass on it and can't tell the difference between S and 5, G and 6, O and 0, Z and 2.
The box is basically a boat anchor until I go through every permutation.
Please tell me if I am missing something here?
Thanks in advance and all posts will be rated.

Thanks. They print it on the back of the CD.
Unfortunately, the print is the same size and is of even poorer clarity than the one on the MARS box.
I'll have to take a picture and send it to TAC just to get a license.
It's ironic that the MARS 100 I was working on yesterday had the license pre-loaded. This MARS 50 must have been sitting around the warehouse.

  • E-mail messages print font too small display font too big

I recently upgraded to OSX 10.4.9 and tried to print an e-mail message.
The message printed in microscopic sized font and I followed the suggestions on the HELP section about increasing font size.
With display font set at 24 the printed message is just barely readable. However, this is unacceptable for display purposes and actually still too small for printed copies of the message.
I connect to an Epson CX4600 printer as a network device on my Apple AirPort Extreme card.
What can I do to print acceptable copies and not have to tinker with the display font every time I want to print?
iMac   Mac OS X (10.4.9)   Printer Epson 4600

I tried all the options in Help File in Mail Printing Email Messages
Options were "keep the same apparentfont size" didn't change a thing.
Scale message to fit = result was smaller size font,
Rewrap message to fit, didn't change a thing.
I still can't print out a readable copy of the email.
This particular Email wouldn't even copy correctly into Word so that I could adjust it there, it kept getting cut off and I changing the margin tabs didn't help either.
