Printer problem in Spool..

Hi Experts,
I have a problem with spool creation.After click on Print Icon i have given the printer name XX . but in the spool , I am seeing another printer name YY in Spool attributes. the name which is entered is not captured in spool attributes.Is the printer in spool attribute is a common one for all users? How to change the same?

check in SPAD transaction which printer is default assigned..
and try to remove default printer and execute what is picking..

Printing problems with HP Laserjet P1005

everything seems to be ok with my printer HP Lasejet P1005, but it just doesn't print. The works are in the gueue and error messages continually is "set the new toner cartridge" althrough I've changed the cartridge already. Also there is a message "HP:s part number"
What can or should I do??? Help!!!

I see by your post that you are getting the error message "set the new toner cartridge" and you have already changed it with a HP toner. I would like to help.
I would do a hard reset to see if that will resolve the issue.
Leave the printer on and unplug the power cable from the printer and wall outlet for 60 seconds.
Then reconnect the power cable to the printer and wall outlet rather than a surge protector.
This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
Try and print a hardware self test on the printer to find out if it is a hardware or software issue.
Open and close the lid 5 times quickly. It should print out a page with lines on it.
Did it print the self test?
If the self test page printed, clear the Spool folder and restart the Print Spooler and try printing again.

Download and run the Print and Scan Doctor. It will diagnose the issue and might automatically resolve it. Find and fix common printer problems using HP diagnostic tools for Windows?
What operating system are you using? How to Find the Windows Edition and Version on Your Computer.
Are you using Genuine HP Toner?
What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (did it print or scan, any error messages)
Please provide in detail the results if you are still having issues.

Hi Friends,
there is problem with purchase order print priview and spool print output are different.
mean : in me23n .. for a perticular po .. in po priview the TAX VALUES value is 120 coming..
when i am giving print with spool.. the amount value is showing TAX VALUE
is 443..why it is showing wrong..
this is for perticular output type.
why TAX VALUES are showing different in print view and
spool print.

but the valiadtions are happening in standard functional module PRICING.
it is realted script(medruck)...but there is no code point for spool or printer side..
and the issue is realted one PO OUTPUT TYPE..
it is sap standard debugging... when i am debugging the functional module PRICING.
the values are coming dynammically.

I have a problem to print an existing spool.
I need print many an existing spools in ABAP program
- I used the SHDB and call transaction with BDC data but work only for 1st.
- I tried use the RSPO_RPRINT_SPOOLREQ function but don't work.

I resolved my own problem.
I use the function RSPO_OUTPUT_SPOOL_REQUEST...
The only parameters to this functions was spool_request_id - ID spool.

Printing Problems with the special character &

When our users are printing POS character & is printing as junk i.e where ever there is a & print prieview shows & along with
some other characters <(>&<)> .

Device Type is SWINCF CASC Fonts SAPWIN Unicode
other special characters like " and - are being recognized. It does not seems to be a print problem coz i can see the junk in print

make this setting change:
in SPAD > In the menu Settings -> Spool System
In the others tab check the first check box in the Output Controller block, SAVE and exit

Cheque: Printing problems: Tcode F110

We are having problems to print cheques with a new userid. We can view the cheques in the spool list, but can't print to it. The new user are copied from a user which are currently printing it sucessfull.
If the new user have the same authorization and profile as the one that are printing sucessfull, why are we having printing problems? Is there any additional configuration that we are missing?

Yes, and all are sucessfull.
What i cant understand is that both users have the same profile/role/authorization. Why can one print to the cheque printer and the other can't.
Are there any additional configuration needed per printer which allow only spesific/dedicated users to print to the cheque printer?

Barcode printing problem

Dear Expert,
I'm facing a barcode printing problem where it displayed incorrect barcode formatting in the print preview by displaying strips for bar lines. I'm using Sapscript to do this and I have already specified in Character format for barcode Code 39 and I have created a Z system bar code(se73) specfically for this. Could you pls give me some ideas on how to solve this problem.

Hi Adis,
There is another way of having the print preview. You directly print the Sap Script, it will go to spool (SP01). Now use the program RSTXPDFT4 in SE38 and enter the spool number. It will convert the spool record with that particular number to the PDF fomat. You can now see the view through the PDF format.
In the direct print preview you may do not get the correct view of the bar code specially for the SAP Script.

Printing problem with new Intel iMac and Indesign CS3

Hi there,
this might not be the right place to ask for, but has anybody here experienced printing problems in Indesign CS3 with Tiger?
I just installed the software and tried to print out of Indesign, but nothing. I can see on the panel that data is beeing received but no printing action. And this is just out of the new Indesing CS3.
Any suggestions?

Our office is printing fine from ID & PS CS3. This is from Intel & PPC Mac's running 10.4.9.
What is your printer and how is it configured for printing, ie USB or IP.
Also, have a look at the cups error log. You can find this via System Profiler > Software > Logs. This will show which process is failing for the spooled job. You can post it back here for more help.

Printing problem with officejet l7650

Hi, when i print in Word, the last line is not complete. The print mist the alf of the line, just the upper of the line appear.
I upload the new driver, i print without spool etc.. the problem is the same.

Have you tried printing with another word processor to see if the print problem is with Word or something else? You can print Word documents with the free program Openoffice, which you can download from download.com or Openoffice.org
If you find the problem is with Word, Try uninstalling and reinstalling Word. First, you may want to download the free utilities Glary Registry Repair & Glary Utilities. Run both of them, reboot Windows and try a document. If that does not help, then do the uninstall, reinstall. That is easier than trying to run down the exact problem in your Word settings.

Intermec PX4I Label Printing Problem

Hi,
We are facing issue while printing Bar Code Labels on Intermec PX4I label printer. While printing few labels could not print. When I tried to process the failed spool requests with the same settings again, the printer printed labels without any problem. After that the user was able to print the labels normally bust faces the smilar issue randomly. The user has to restart the printer to start the printer. We are facing similar issues on the other lable intermac lable printer as well.
When i checked the error log, I could see the below error:

As you rightly pointed out, inspite of the above error label printing is not impacted.
The problem is that print control SC400 is not maintained in transaction SPAD.
Please refer to OSS note 17559 for more information.

Firewall Printing Problem

I have a Brother MFC-7820N Network Printer. It uses LPR TCP Port 515 and I have that port open in my firewall. Well, without the firewall it prints fine. So I turn the firewall on, I'm let's say I'm in Word, ok it prints documents fine. Then I quit and restart word, and then press print. In the print queue it just says "data sent to printer" and it doesn't print. Recycling the firewall does not solve the issue either. However, if I turn off the firewall, I can print then, and then after I turn it back on I can print once more until I restart the application I'm printing from. Anybody know what is happening?

This forum is for OSX Server’s Print Service. Having said that I have to ask if it works without the firewall but does not with, then why turn it on? If the printer is on your local network who are you protecting it from - yourself?
Of course its more than possible that it is a network printer you wish to control client access to by having your Server’s Print Service provide the printer as a spool queue. If the Server can print to the printer without any problems you can simply create am appletalk queue for it and add the printer as an appletalk one on your clients. In either case I’m still struggling to see why you would want to apply a firewall rule?

Printer Problems (new thread)

I have an HP Photosmart 6150 that has been giving me more than a few headaches. The first is that when ever I try to print a document, I get a message to replace the empty black ink cart. This has happened with two new carts. The gauge on both the printer and using the HP software show the cartridge as being full.
I also usually have to go through and troubleshoot the printer because the "spooler service" is not available
This is happening with my Windows 7 operating system and the printer is attached to that PC via a USB port.
Any help would be appreciated.

Can you answer a few questions, then hopefully I can help you with your printing problems.
1. Did you purchase A or XL sized supplies for your unit?
2. What type of documents are you printing, black text, mixed text and graphics, heavy colour, photos etc....
3. What time frame did you print the 50 pages over?
4. What are the estimated ink levels on your unit? From the Home screen, touch the ink icon to get estimated levels.

Please do the following
Ask the user who has problems printing to go to transaction SU3 and then to defaults tab.
He needs to check if Printer name is entered in the Output
Device.
And print immediately check box is checked.
