Printer profile not there and brings into preview

When I go to print, the printer profile for my Epson is not in the list. I know it's not on the computer, why is it not on the CS5 list?
Then I click print and it print the image into Preview instead of printing on the epson. Why is that? thanks!

That tripped me up a bit a few weeks back.
That's what the convention dot slash ./ means, the Root Level, as opposed to the tilde ~ which stands for the User Library.

Acrobat 7.0 printing letters not there

I have Adobe Acrobat 7.1.0 running on Mac OSX (10.6.3). I downloaded a form which I turned into a printable form, saved it and filled it in. However, when I go to print it, it prints letters not there. It will change letter like the letter "P" and make it an "R". Oh yea, these are letters that are part of the form, not what i added or typed in.
This problem has never happened before and I use Acrobat 7.0 all the time.......... OK I know I have to upgrade and I am going to, but my understanding is there are issues with Acrobat 9.0 and Mac X.

No I can't post an example since it's PHI.
But I did what you said. The .pdf that works fine has nothing listed in the fonts page. The one that doesn’t work has a lot of fonts.
On the Description page, the differences are:
Application (bad): IDRS KDK - Plus
Application (good): Xerox WorkCenter 7655
PDF Producer (bad): Image Recognition Integrated Systems S.A.
PDF Producer (good): Xerox WorkCenter 7655
So it's obviously trying to do some character recognition which I don't want.
So is my client (who sent these to me) sending from different scanners that are set up differently? Or is she sending from the same scanner ... with the settings occasionally set differently for some reason.
I'd like to be a little educated before I talk to her.

This is not usually related to AD issues, but it may be more of a DNS issue. I posted a request in your other thread to post an unedited ipconfig /all of the DC and of the client.
This may help use diagnose this issue and your other thread's printer issues.

Assuming you've done a system wide search for it including the Applications folder and it's not there......
I think you will need to address this with them - did you pay them for the application? Or was your purchase price to include it? And the question(s) to ask them:
If the app store states that it has been downloaded, ask them where it is and which Apple ID they used. (the store keeps track of Apple IDs and machine IDs on everything you download).
I have absolutely no faith in their advice; however, in this case, it's not so much technical advice, but an answer to your questions: you paid for something and it appears not to be there.

It depends on how you wiped your drive. Depending on how you did it, only the directory was erased and the data can be found with drive recovery software. Some are free, although there is a small charge for most of them (~$30). You can usually download a trial version that shows if it will work and you have to pay to be able to save the found files. Use Google to search for the software. Different programs work differently and can find different things.

Sounds very relevant.
Do you have access to another computer with Numbers installed?
If so, do your files open properly on that computer?
If so, then the problem is your computer itself, which is best posted in a different forum.

It sounds like you are getting a service error on the printer. I recommend checking inside the printer for any obstructions, as well as trying to unplug it for about 5 minutes, then plug it back in. If the issue persists, I would recommend using the Contact Us link to get in touch with our support staff who can provide any available service options.

Also try deleting the printer from your printer Q system preferences, then reinstalling it (highlight the printer click the minus symbol, then click the plus symbol and add it again. Reboot, and try.

My iTunes is telling me that the registry settings are missing for importing and burning cd's and dvd's and to reinstall. I do reinstall and it is still not there and I have at least 4 times.

Close the Notes app on the Task Bar and re-launch.
1. Double-click the Home button to reveal Task Bar
2. Hold the Notes app down for a second or two until you see the minus sign
3. Tap the minus sign to close app
4. Tap area above Task Bar to return to Home screen

After the new 10.9.2 Maverick upgrade, my Photosmart C4480 3 in 1 printer can not scan and save the file to desktop or documents. You can only see the image in the print preview area. Does anyone know how to fix this or when a fix will be out?

After Aple support downloaded the new 10.9.2 Maverick upgrade on my MacBook Air, my Photosmart C4480 3 in 1 printer can not scan a document and load the file on to my desktop or document file. (You can see the doc image in the preview but it doesn't save it.) Does anyone know an Apple fix for this or when the fix will be out? After hours of trying reloading, and the usual fixes, etc. Apple told me to call HP, and HP told me they don't support Mac. It does not seem honorable of Apple to put out an upgrade and not tell people it will destroy their scanning ability, and that the only thing to do is to buy another printer/scanner.

Have you tried using Applications/Image Capture to scan.
