Well - to start you should be specific what "Unix" you are talking about.
'Unix' is a generic term for various operating systems, each of them has a different spooling system and each of them is configured differently.

Can you set PDF zoom level when exporting from ID?

I do many documents for proof and regardless of how the end user is going to view them, I like them to open as a full page ("Fit Page" zoom level) - I want the viewer to get the overall impact of the layout before they see just the top half or upper corner.

How to enable color printing setting in R/3

Hi,
We have configured HP COLOR Laster jet 2650DN printer at r/3 level. but users are not getting print in color, when they give non sap print, then it prints in colors. I tried to enabled the color printer option in spad -> output attribute, but it didnot help. Is ther any other setting can enabled the color printing in sap ?

I understand that the issue is with color printing only for this printer. What device type are you using? Only printers listed in this note are fully tested and supported by SAP as detailed.
Does color printing work for other printers you have and are the SPAD settings the same?

Printing dunning letter per level

Hello Gurus, I hope you can help me
I have a dunning procedure with 3 levels.
One Smart from applies to all levels.
I want to be have one print batch per level. That is 3 batches in my case.
I currently get all letters in one batch. I tried using the 'Free selection' tab and restrict on a dunning level. No success.

I got the 'Free selection' tab to work (Tcode F150) to work by setting field name KNB5-MAHNS to the dunning level that I want to print. This is not ideal this we need to do that for each level. I was hoping to get a solution where there is one print batch per dunning level after running F150 just once but no success yet.
On a slightly different topic of setting dunning by dunning level, I received this good summary from SAP:
You want to start a dunning run with dunning by dunning level.
Kindly check the customizing in the company code data for dunning:
transaction F150 -> Menu 'Environment' -> 'Change configuration'
-> Menu 'Environment' again -> 'Company code data'.
Please, mark the field dunning by dunning level.
Should the same does not work as desired, you will have to clear
the sign for the direct print in the Business Transaction Event (BTE)

Hey guys
I've made a little sequence to fetch data from a XML file. In that XML file, there is some informations (entries) (IP addresses, port numbers, etc) about 4 different types of devices(sections are the devices names). The first section of the XML tells me the NAMES of the devices I have to configure. The type of each device is located in the entries of each device. Each device has its own information and I can have more than one device of a type. In teststand, I've created custom data types (containers with empty fields) for each type of device I need.
I want to dynamically create the devices that the XML file tells me to configure as fileglobal variables and populate them with their own config informations (entries of the XML file). I'm creating new fileglobal of the type I want using PropertyObject step and I'm creating an alias of that fileglobal that I'm passing in parameter to a subsequence who's getting infos from XML. Here, everything is OK.
The problem occurs when I want to configure 2 or more objects of the same type. At the SetProperty step (where i'm creating the fileglobal variable) teststand gives me the error:
"Unable to set a top-level property object to another object. Error accessing item 'Parameters.DeviceToInitStruct'."
Is there any ways to avoid that problem and creating to variable of the same type ?

I finally got rid of that problem.
Instead of using a PropertyObject.Clone step, I used a statement who's just copy the "MasterObject" into a "CloneObject" and i'm working with that copy. So the sequence can now create devices of the same type without any conflict with the first device.
i'll post here a short example to show how i did... maybe it'll be useful for someone...

Is there a way to set the default level of keyframe easing?

I'm currently using the graph editor to smooth my ease-in / ease-out keyframes with 100% influence. I'm having to adjust the easing of each keyframe individually.
Is there a way to set the default level to 100%, so that I can just select "Easy Ease In" and have it apply without having to go into the graph editor? It would save a lot of time.

Incompitible Print Setting Error for HP LJ 8500n in Windows Vista

Hi, I have two laptops, one with Windows XP and another with Windows Vista Business. There is a HP LJ 8500n connected with router and accessed by both laptops. Somehow, when I print from Windows XP laptop and I change the print settings there is no error message. But, when I print from Vista Business Laptop, it prints without any error message for default setting, but when I try to change the print setting (to change the paper size or color) the error message comes with "Incompitible Print Settings. It says: "There are one or more conflicting settings. One of the conflicting settings is: Accessory Output Bin: Not Installed. Output Bin: Mailbox 5." Once I click "Ok" it will have same message with output bin changed to Mailbox 6, etc. After I go through approximately 8 to 10 output bins messages, it gives me the screen where I can change the print settings. After that, I can print with revised setting. But, it is very annoying to go through these messages every time I have change the print settings.

For the laserjet 3390, you have the option of using the either the Universal Print Driver (network connection) or Windows Update Driver (USB connection) in windows 8.1. Neither of these drivers come with a fax or scan driver.
To use the fax and scan driver, you will need to use the Windwos Fax and Scan Software however you will need to be usb connected. I have given you links to documents that explain how to use both the Windwos Update driver and the Windows Fax and Scan Software.
Driver support included in Windows 8 / Windows 8.1 or in Windows Update - usb connection only
Use the software in Windows 8 to scan - usb connection only
Please understand that the UPD is a print only driver. If you would like a fax/scan driver you will need to connect via USB and use the Windows Fax and Scan driver along with the Windows Update/In-OS driver.

WIndows 8.1 printer error: windows cannot print due to a problem with the current printer set up

My HP OFFICEJET 8500 PRO was working just fine wirelessly until I installed the Windows 8.1 update from the Microsoft. Now I cannot print at all. I get an error that says, "windows cannot print due to a problem with the current printer set up". I have tried reinstalling and a ton of other solutions to no avail. Can someone PLEASE Help!

I would love to help you with the printing issue you're having, since the Windows 8.1 that was done.
Please run the Print and Scan Doctor. Write me back with the results or post a screen shot of the results and I will have a look at them.
This diagnostic tool will check for any conflicts that could be causing the issue. The tool will show you a report at the end. If there was a problem that the tool could not fix, you will notice it in the results.

On UNIX:
1.     Login as sidadm
2.     Su - root
3.     Execute "jetadmin" (or use u201Csamu201D if you are familiar with it).
4.     Select option 1
5.     Select option 3
6.     Enter the IP address of the printer
7.     Select option 1 again and assign an appropriate queue name
8.     Follow the instructions to complete
9.     "lpstat -t" to confirm the printer is enabled
10.     Setup on R3
Message 2:
On SAP
1.     Transaction u201CSPADu201D
2.     Switch to change mode
3.     Chose Output Device
4.     Select Printer you want to create/copy/change
5.     To use or by pass DAZEL:
1.     use Dazel:
a.     Host Spool Access Method: E
b.     Host Printer: 1_usbprint03_xxxxxx
c.     Logical OMS: R3 SID Dazel LOMS
2.     by pass Dazel:
a.     Host Spool Access Method: L
b.     Host Printer: (queue name on UNIX Spool)
To test printing, try to print something (i.e. spool server list) and go to Transaction u201CSP01u201D to change the result.

In a team of 20 people sharing the same oracle password.Is there a possibility to track some unix level access to certain folder like binary folder and mail the team.
If a person uses 'oracle' unix user and accesses the binaries folder,a mail has to be sent to alert that the folder was accessed at that time.
Is there is a possbility in shell script.
