Printer Software doesn't display when installing in Win 8

Hello
I have a very frustrating issue which means I can not install the printer software for my HP Plus B209a Printer.
When I try and run the installer for the full package installation it extracts the files as normal to a temp location.
Then the HP Installer (32bit) runs but in the background and does not display anything on screen. I just uses 15% CPU in task manager but no installation windows?
To give some background to this issue
(The first time I ran the installer software it did load but hanged on the detecting printer stage 1. So I restarted the laptop and tried to run again but this happened.)
I have updated windows to 8.1 and all updates are installed. I have tried disabling all startup programs etc.. to no avail.
Please could someone help with this issue as I can not scan with the printer until I can get this installed.

On boot I get a netlogon 5719 error followed by service control manager errors 7023,7001 and a group policy error 1129.
Clients can connect to the remote application and RDP operates to connect to the server internally and externally.

After referring to your post, it can be identified that the issue which you are facing is mostly due to some network issue in your environment. Please recheck your network connection issue between computer and domain controller.
Can you able to ping with IP address and also with fully qualified name of a domain controller in the users' and computers' domain. If it fails states that name resolution issue with computer and domain controller. Are you using MS DHCP Relay agent then there’s
available Hotfix for the particular Event ID. Please go through this KB 2459530 to fix the error event ID.
As per the net logon error 5719 which you are facing states that the client component of Netlogon was unable to locate a DC for the domain it was trying to perform an operation against. Below is one of the reason. If this is being logged on a DC and the event
refers to the DC's own domain, something might be preventing the client component of Netlogon from starting a network session (to itself or to another DC in the domain). The following event 7001 & 7023 states start & stop operation service. Please
go through beneath article for more details.
1. Event ID 5719 is logged when you start a computer
2. Netlogon 5719 and the Disappearing Domain [Controller]
3. Event ID 1129 — Microsoft-Windows-GroupPolicy

Outlook Web Access doesn't display when in a Page

Hi guys,
I have set up an IView to access Outlook Webmail, as per the normal help documents, and the IView works perfectly - displays my Inbox and everything. If I add the IView into a workset, users are able to view their Inbox too.
However, If I create a Page and put the IView on that page, the Inbox no longer displays - it just has a blank window where the Inbox should appear. Right-clicking on the blank page and going to Properties, I can see that its going to the correct web address.
My question is, why doesn't the Inbox display when the IView is in a Page?

PS, Here's something unusual... In Content Administration --> Portal Content, when I right-click on the Page and choose "preview" it displays the Inbox properly. However, it doesn't display when its accessed from a Workset.

Yes, I have added the Page to the Workset, and also the IView to the Page.
If I set up a temporary workset, And assign the 2 objects to it (the IView and the Page), they appear as links at the top of my Portal. When I click the link assigned to the IView, the Inbox is shown. When I click the link assigned to the Page, it only shows a blank window instead of the Inbox.

hi can anyone help im trying to install my officejet printer 4500 g510 n-z driver from the hp website and i keep getting an error message and i have no idea how to stop getting this message as i have tried a few times to install the drive and keep gettimg the same message im running windows 8.1 if tht helps

How will you be connecting this printer? Wireless or USB?

Table style doesn't display when viewed or when project is published

I'm running RH8 (with RH8 Server). The table style no longer displays when viewed or when published. I checked the table style of the same project (but older version) and the styles to me looked the same. It displayed fine last week (famous last words), but this week something changed. Can anyone help?
The tablegradient.jpg can be seen in the project (image A), but when I view (eyeglasses), or if I open a published project, it doesn’t (image B).

I really do not know what has caused this but in your situation I would be looking at the CSS for the table now and when it worked.
After that I would probably create a new project and create the same setup afresh. That can often identify the cause of problems like this.

How can I reinstall printer software only from the original install disks?

my imac 17" printer software got corrupted and I can't use my new printer. Is there a way to just install all the original printer software from my original disks that came with the mac? I have updated all the software on the mac and don't want to go back to the old panther disk.
or is there an apple download site that has just the printer software.

Insert your original disk and look for additional software, the printers should be somewhere there. Your other option is to get [Pacifist|http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/12743] and use it to extract the printer data from the install package.

Error message display when install ShareIt.

I downloaded the latest Share It (2.1.10.0) from server then install it, it display an error message when install, but after close the error message box, it can launch successfully. i try to reproduce ths problem, so i install it again, the error message box didn't display again.
Don't know this error have any effect to ShareIt?Anybody saw this before?

Mac doesn't display when powering on

Everytime I power on my Mac mini, my monitor doesn't display the Apple logo, it is black. Then after a while, It shows the desktop. Can there be something wrong with my system?
My monitor is connected with a mini display port to a VGA adapter on a VGA monitor? The monitor is a dell 1704FPT

Too bad software doesn't display all Blackberry functions on PC in real time

Years ago when I bought my first Blackberry, when I heard that it came with PC software, I imagined that when you conntected your Blackberry to your PC via the USB cable, you would be able to view and edit the content from your Blackberry from your PC. Basically your PC screen would serve as the screen and the PC keyboard to serve as the blackberry keyboard. That would have been so cool, I really hope in the future they could offer such an option with the PC software other than just checking for updates, making backups, and transferring files.

The rate at which technology is advancing this might be reality in very near future. But I'm not sure which vendor is going to the first to replicated that technology!!!

Custom ContextMenu doesn't display when using hand cursor

I have created a custom ContextMenu, which displays when
right-clicking on the Canvas. If I am showing the hand/pointer
cursor using the code below, and then right-click, the custom

Welcome window doesn't appear when installing CS5 on new imac

I'm trying to install CS5 into my new imac but after I inserted the Application disc 1, nothing happens. the welcome window doesn't appear. No window to fill in serial #s, etc. Installed Acrobat with no problem though. Thanks.

Thanks for your response Jeff. I'm still getting myself familiar with Lion and obviously handicapped with these tech stuff so pardon my ignorance. I didn't see the DVD icon the way I used to in earlier OS so just assumed it wasn't working the way Acrobat worked (the first DVD I inserted). Now, I transferred the contents of my backup drive onto my new imac and see both CS4 and CS5 transferred into the Applications folder. Does that mean the softwares are installed or do I need to install them through the DVDs? Don't want to accidentally screw up anything. If I just dragged and deleted CS4, does that completely remove it out of my iMac? thanks so much for your help.

Hi, Using v.9 of Crystal Reports I've created some running totals using a cross-tab workaround to get the running totals into the group headers, but when the group header falls at the bottom of the page then the running total doesn't show up.Would appreciate knowing why and how to fix this.

Replacing an item that is malfunctioning because of a manufacturing error is the bare minimum I would expect from customer service for any electronics item.
The thing Apple does extremely well is their flat fee policy for repairs on their computers.
I managed to break my MacBook pretty seriously (logic board needed to be replaced) and I'm sure it cost them more to repair the unit than the $328 they charged me.
I probably would have been angry if it was something minor, but I'm guessing that most repairs to screens/motherboards/etc cost more than their flat fees.

VIDEORA DOESN'T WORK WHEN INSTALLED

I just downloaded and installed Videora and also the Videora iPod Converter. None of them work when I try to run them! I get some sort of application error and I have to click on OK to terminate the program. Can anyone help me please?

Contact name doesn't display when someone calls?

I have a BB curve 8520 and whenever someone rings me it just displays their number and not their name so I never know who it is that's calling. How do I sort this out?

There could be any one of three solutions... Try these:
1. Make sure you set your own country code at Phone Dialer Screen > Options > Smart dialing.
Set your country code in this format: "+xx" where xx = your country code. Some countries have two or three digit Country Codes. Do not place the '+' in your contact's entry.
* In the US, set this Country Code as "+1", and place your loca area code in the proper box (this normally the default setting in a new BB).
2. At the same location, change the National Number Length to the number of digits for your country (since some countries will have less than 10 as set as the default in the BB). Find out the total digits, minus the country code. Do not place the '+' in your contact's entry.
* For example, some countries have a total number to 8 (plus 3 for country code). You would enter "8".
3. You may have "Content Protection" set on your Address Book.
Look at Options > Security > General Settings. Scroll down to Content Protection > Include Address Book = NO.

QT RTSP client doesn't display when direct3d acceleration is enabled

Hi ,
I am using Quicktime7.6.5 on WinXP (Core 2 Duo 2.33Ghz and 1GB RAM)as an RTSP client to playback HD streams sent over IP networks by a streaming server.
If direct3d checkbox(edit->preferences->quicktime->advanced) is enabled(by default it is enabled),actual video streamed is not being displayed,but large quicktime icon is displayed .
If direct3d acceleration is disabled actual video is played out, but with lot of jerks because of performance issues as acceleration is disabled.
Instead of RTSP,if the SDP file is directly opened in quicktime to playback same video stream with direct3d enabled, QT plays out without any issues.
Any ideas on enabling smooth playback of HD streams in quicktime(as RTSP client) ?

Flash often crashes here too, since I’ve installed a GeForce card with the nvidia blob. I think it’s pretty common.
For youtube and some other video sites you can use the GreaseMonkey script ViewTube in order not to use Flash.
