PRINTER STUCK ON

My desk jet ink advantage 4625 won't print alignment page and is stuck on the screen saying printing alignmnent page.  It will not do anything at all none of the buttons will respond.  It turns on and tells me to load paper.  The paper is in.  Then it gets stuck on this screen.  I've unplugged the power cable, taken all my cartridges out and put them back to no avail.  No support in SA over weekends and I have a project due.  Help please

Hello jenny777,
Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand your Officejet 4625 is stuck on now printing alignment page and will not print. I will do my best to assist you! Please make sure this printer is plugged into a direct wall, not a surge protector. Next, follow these steps in order:
1) Remove all ink cartridges from the printer, then close the door
2) Remove the power cord from the printer (Do not press the power button)
3) Wait 60 seconds or more, then plug the power cord back in
4) Wait for the printer to turn on completely, then install the ink cartridges
5) Try to print another alignment page
Please let me know if you're receiving the same error message. I will be looking forward to hearing from you.
Have a great night!

  • Printer stuck in "delete-Printing" for four days; HP Deskjet 3000.

Tried to print 6 page PowerPoint file on HP Deskjet 3000, but printer stuck and would not print. Tried to delete from queue, but status continually shows "Deleting-Printing" for past four days.  How do I fix this?

    Hi,
From the Desktop, hold down the Windows key and press R.  Into the Run window, type services.msc and hit enter.  Browse down to the print spooler service, right click it and select Properties then click on the Stop button.  Now browse to C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS and delete the job(s) inside this folder - You may need to click a prompt to gain the appropriate authority to open the PRINTERS folder.
Restart the computer and you should find the document(s) have been removed.

Try going to system preferences>print/Scan, highlight the xerox pritnter and click the minus button.
Download the latest driver from the site to your desktop. (safari preferences>general>save downloaded file to desktop, if the desktop is not available click other and select desktop from the left column) Run the installer, follow the prompts, if it does not insall automatically, go to sytem preferences>print, click plus sign and add the xerox from the list. Or you can type it in manually, set as default printer.
    Hope this helps.

  • Remove Printer stuck in Windows 8

Windows 8 won't let me remove printer definitions that are not working.  Going into Control Panel/Devices and Printers and following the "remove printer" dialog results in some cases in the printer entering a permanent "being removed" status.  I think it may have something to do with failed print jobs still being stuck in the queue for the printer in question.
Is there a way of forcibly removing unwanted printers?
If the problem is indeed due to stuck print jobs, how do I get rid of these?

Try using the Print Management tool.....follow these steps and let me know if this works
Try these steps from the Start Screen
    1. Access the Charms bar (The pop out bar on the right hand side of the screen)
    2. Select Settings
    3. Under Settings select Tiles
    4. Ensure show administrative  tools is selected to Yes
    5. On the Start Screen select Print Management tile
    6. Once the tool opens look to the left and select custom filters
    7. Select All Drivers
    8. Select your printer  right click then select delete
    9. Under customer filters select All Printers
    10. If you see your printer there select it and right click and select delete.
    11. At this point I would suggest you restart you PC

  • M127-M128 Printer stuck on Lanuage screen

Completed all the setup as instructed.  Plugged printer in per intstructions using USB.  Touch screen is stuck on lanuage screen. Unplugged for 30 seconds at least with no change.  Printer does print but have no access to touch screen as it will only display lanuage screen.  When I select english and select yes get a information icon with a excilmation mark in a yellow triangle..

    Hi Ron2015,
The reset sets the printer back to factory settings again, then you would be prompted for the language selection and country again. Sorry to hear the screen still won't continue from the language screen again. This is certainly a peculiar issue that you are having. What if you select a different language, it might continue, then reset the printer again and try selecting the correct language.
If the issue continues the printer will need to be serviced, please call our technical support at 800-474-6836 for further assistance. If you live outside the US/Canada Region, please click the link below to get the support number for your region.

  • Printer stuck in spooling after first print

    Hello,
I have a new laptop in the office with an HP ColorLaserJet CM2320nf MFP printer connected to our network.
The drivers installed without issue. After every reboot, the first document I choose to print will print fine from any program.
Then any subsequent print from *any* program I try to make will get stuck in 'spooling', and even crash the program I'm in.
I've tried a completely clean install of the drivers and the reinstall produced the exact same results.
Is this a known issue and what are some suggestions to fix?
Running Windows 7 Professional 32 Bit
    Many thanks in advance

When in the dock, right-click the printer icon and choose Auto Quit.

  • HP Envy 4500 printer stuck in shutdown

I tried to copy a document.  I resized it by reducing size, but intended to increase the size.  Error message said it was "unable to scan, turn off printer then turn back on.  If that doesn't work, the scanner is broken."  I pressed power button, and screen read "shutting down", but is stuck there.  None of buttons work.

    Hello Dda1,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are having an issue with the printer not wanting to shut down.
Try disconnecting the power cable from the back of the printer and from the electrical supply.  If you are using a power bar/strip, please connect the power cable directly to a wall outlet and discontinue the use of the bar/strip.
Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general. Please click on the following link that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.
If the troubleshooting does not help resolve your issue, I would then suggest calling HP's Technical Support to see about further options for you. If you are calling within North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions, click here: click here.
    Thank you for your time.

  • Apple ImageWriter II Printer Stuck on Power On

Hi, I just reclaimed an ImageWriter II from the garage, but when I turn it on it makes a horrible groaning/grinding sound, and the print head fails to move. It seems it's stuck and can't return to the home position.

  • Printer stuck on "initializing"

I purchased the printer in February 2015 (less than 6 months ago) and connected to my network wirelessly (plugged in via surge protector that was brand new).  Every thing was great until a week ago.  The printer power went off and when it came on, it stayed on the initializing screen.  I let it go for 48 hours, no change.  I unplugged for an hour and replugged it in, no change.  I unplugged for 3 days and tried again, no luck.   I came to the forums and tried the steps recommended in another post: Attempted a hard reset (unplug while still on and wait 60 seconds, reconnect to wall outlet) - nope Attempted power drain (unplug while keeping power button pressed for 30 seconds) - nope Attempted to update software via HP Support Assistant on my computer, all updates current and no change I even went as far as uninstalling the printer and software from my computer and attempting to reconnect via USB connection - that solution was problematic as the printer never made it to ready mode to install software. Attempted to intall for wireless network but I can't get to the wireless menu on the printer due to it being stuck on initializing. Please help, I am becoming more frustrated by the day and can't go much longer without the printer.  I invested more money to ensure that I would have a quality, reliable printer.  Cheaper printers did not fizz out on me this quickly!

  • HP Photosmart e-ALL-IN-ONE C310 printer stuck on "initializing"

It seems like this "initializing" problem is common with this printer. Has anyone received better help or direction from HP, other than unplugging and plugging in the printer? The only other advice I received was to trade in my printer for another model, and of course pay for it. I had my printer for a little over a year with very few prints.
Any last minute advice to fix it would be great, before I put money into a new printer.

    Hi Melcie and ccrunner61,

  • Printing: Stuck on 'Hold for authentication'

Hello. Im try to print from my mac mini through a windows 7 pc. I haven't ever gotten this to work. I can see the printer by choosing 'guest' when logging into the print server. I don't know what my username and password would be. When I save the printer and go to print something a the print status window comes up and says "Hold for authentication". I tried clearing keychains related to the print in keychain access. Anyone know of a soulution?

Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
Use the search box in the toolbar of the Keychain Access to search for the name of the shared printer. Double-click one of the items and check the box marked Show password in the inspector window. You'll be prompted for your keychain password to confirm. Make a note of the user name and password. Then delete every "Network Password" item in the search results. Quit Keychain Access.
The next time you send a job to the printer, you'll be prompted for the user name and password. Enter the information you noted earlier and check the box to save it in the Keychain.
