Printer under attack?

I am getting a terrible amount of blocked messages from the router since I installed my printer C410 on the local wireless network. I have turned on MAC filtering. No device that I dont know the MAC address of has wireless access. But somehow I get bombarded through the broadband connection and the printer is responding to this. Anyway to change that?

The printer functions normally, The apps I can use without problems. The incidents are occurring without me using the apps. I tried to track some of the addresses, but there seems to be no real pattern. None of the addresses is clearly HP, some are from verizon, some seem to be advertisers. If I could venture an explanation it is that the apps are full of adware. Not to call it spyware. I will investigate further as for now a bigger list. (unfornately HP does not allow postings more than 50.000 chars)

    hi all,
i have a serious problem printing with my mac os X using the classic version.
i installed the driver for the the 9 and X.
    printing under X no problem.
    but under classic
when i go to laserwriter 8. i have no printer installed.
can u help consernng this case
    Regards

    Hi Team1
Can your computer boot up in OS 9? If so, try installing the OS 9 driver with the computer in that system, then testing the printer under OS 9. If you can get it running then, you should be able to get it running under Classic.
    Cheers!

  • All Labels in the Smartform  should be printed under one spool request ?

    Hi All,
I need to print the labels with some data .At a time I have to print 10 labels with the same Spool request. I have required data in one internal table .I am looping the internal table and printing the label. In this case every time control leading to Print prview, and when i click on PRINT button then only It is leading to the Spool. For each print it is creating a new spool .
But My requirement is , I need all the labels should be printed under only one spool .And I can see the print preview only once , and  if I click on print  button 10 labels(depending on the records in internal table) should be printed .Cotrol should not come again to the Print popup .
    Thanks,
    Suresh Kumar D.

    Hi,
As per your requirement, if you want to print 10 labels, in same spool request, design your smart form like that,
I mean design 10 labels in your smart forms.
I hope this is easy solution.
    Regards,
    Sreenu.

"Warning : Our AP with Base Radio MAC 00:14:a8:53:0b:20 is under attack (contained) by another AP on radio type 802.11b/g"
"Warning Cleared: Our AP with Base Radio MAC 00:14:a8:53:0b:20 is no longer under attack (contained) by another AP on radio type 802.11b/g"
Can this cause me problems in the performance of my wireless network???
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi,
    The firmware is 4.2.112.0
Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Help, I am under attack.

Today I have discovered some data in a database that makes me
think that some is trying an sql injection attack on one of my
    websites.
I use SP’s and Cfqueryparam to protect myself against
this type of attack and as a general rule before doing anything I
strip out all banned charters from in coming data. So I don’t
have the original statement, but I do have code (without banned
    chars) in my database.
I have captured the users IP address and looked it up as
    coming from Indonesia.
I am now wonder what my next step should be.
I am considering creating a banned IP table so that when a
new user comes to my site I check the table, if their IP is in the
table I will send them somewhere else. If the IP is a fixed address
it will be permanently listed in my table, if not I will ban the IP
for a short time to stop an immediate attack. It may also be worth
pointing out that we don’t trade in Indonesia.
    I guess my questions are:
Does this sound like a good idea or is there a better way?
How can I tell if an IP is fixed or not?
Has any one else come across this problem, if so how did you
    deal with it?

if you're using cfqueryparam religiously (are you?) &
    your website is still
standing then i would imagine your current security is
    "effective". what makes
you think you're under attack? have you seen malicious sql
    code?

    you might try geoLocator:
    http://www.sustainablegis.com/projects/geoLocator/
    to
determine the country from their incoming IP & some other
    data we can squeeze
out of their browser (correct >90%++ of the time). if he's
    the only user from
indo, you can ban the whole country (as long as his IPs
    originate from there).
be sure to update the inetAddressLocator.jar from:
    http://javainetlocator.sourceforge.net/
don't recall if the zip file on my site has the latest jar.

  • I would like to order prints under I Photo, but it seems to let you only do one photo at a time through the store.  I did make a folder of photos I want to purchse.  How do I do a bulk purchase of photos?

I would like to order a bunch of prints under IPhoto, but when you go to share and it says order prints, it only allows me to order one at a time.  I have created a folder of pics that I would like to purchase.  How do I do a bulk purchase?

Very simple - select the photo(s) you want to print (sometimes it helps to make an album for them to collect them in one place), crop to the print size, select all and share ==> order prints - all of those photos will be in one order

  • Reader 8.1.2 Mac still won't print under Leopard

Acrobat Reader 8.1.2 just released still does not allow for PDFs to be printed under Mac OS X 10.5.1 (Leopard).
The result when trying to print is the same as with v8.1.1 - it pauses the printer and leaves the job queued.
Having waited over three (3) months for this BASIC issue to be fixed, this is an unbelievable disappointment. I can only hope the Acrobat CS3 products are fixed....

    Johndes,
Beginning with OS X 10.5, some of us could not print a PDF from the Adobe Reader program. Our printers would be put on "pause" rather than printing the document.
The expectation was that when Acrobat Reader was upgraded to v. 8.1.2, that Adobe would have that anomaly fixed. The beginning of this thread starts at the point where v 8.1.2 was released, and it was recognized that there was no fix, and our printers would continue to pause rather than print.
You are correct that we could open and print PDFs from another program. I used PDFPen because Preview would also pause my printer. That doesn't change the fact that, for whatever reason, Adobe Reader was the only application which required this workaround to get a printed copy. And, that happened on every later version of OS X 10.5, including 10.5.1.
I resolved the problem with an ERASE AND INSTALL of Leopard. I don't know where the problem originated, but I can now print directly from Adobe Reader. To me, it was worth that effort.

I have a iMac and i just updated the computer to Yosemite.  I have Photoshop CS5 and when I try to print under print size --- manage custom size , photoshop unexpectedly quits every time.  I updated the printer drivers (epson 9880)  uninstalled and installed all the drivers. restarted computer and it is still doing the same thing.  Cant find any costumer service here either except forums.

I have exactly the same problem - Whenever I go to Print, the print widow appears, it thinks about it for a bit (rotating symbol) and then quits.

  • Can only print under the name of the first person to sign on to Windows.

HP 7310 All-In One will only print under the name of the first person to sign on to Windows XP.  If my daughter signed on first and I want to print, I have to log off, go to her name and then I can print.

If this did not work then the account used to install was probably one that is a User with Admin rights and not the System Administrator account. Below is a link that gives you information on accessing the Admin account.
    http://windowsxp.mvps.org/admins.htm
Your other option is to simply install the printer software under each users login.

  • Options gone for select, edit, and print under HP Smart Web banner since HP dialed in to fix crash

The buttons are gone for selecting, editing, and printing under my HP Smart Web since HP dialed in and fixed another problem.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software but still no luck.  All that shows up is the "HP Smart Web Printing" banner with the X to exit; that's it, no options listed below.  My computer has completely crashed twice since I started using it 1/4/10.  The second time the person dialed in and changed the bios and a few things in msconfig but I don't see anything there that would cause the smart web printing.  HELP.  Am I missing something really silly since I am a new user of HP Smart Print?
Thank you in advance if you can help!

I am REALLY annoyed to read this post. I have spent a lot of time to try and fix my computer (which I don't have with 5 kids...not your problem I know and NOT the point). It should NOT be this hard to update and fix a product. I DON'T WANT the Bing bar...and am feeling like I am being forced to accept it to make my puter run correctly because it is supported by HP. What....kind of service is THAT???????? I hope that someone from HP....admin or whatever...reads this. I am "madder" than mad. I have had HP products for years with few problems...and all of which I could find a solution for. This is unacceptable...and I hope someone listens. I don't know if I can trust HP again....when it won't even use the browser most use without problems. Sorry to the rest of the "forum" for venting...but I can't get help...am frustrated...find this out now...and it is nothing personal.

  • Cisco 7600 under attack?

Is possible to router 7600 Sup720-10GE-3CXL , CPU goes up to 99%  when under attack ?
I think we have some attack from outside and that destination ip is uplink ip of 7600 router .
Can syn packets rise cpu on 7600? Can they go to RP processor ?
    somethink like this attached .

    Hi,
This can be a kind of SYN flood attck. You can send this traffic to a loopback or contact your ISP and ask them to block this traffic.

  • WLC Warning Message: Our AP is under attack

    Hi there,
I receive this Warning message in WLC version 5.0:
Warning: Our AP with Base Radio MAC 00:1f:6d:b9:48:d0 is under attack (contained) by another AP on radio type 802.11b/g
So, what does it means? Can someone explain..Great Thanks.

I am getting the same message, but I've not been able to diagnose the issue yet.
It seems that the AP is being contained by another wireless system. However, there is no information that I can find to indicate what is "attacking" or "containing" the AP.

  • I cannot access my network printer under AEBS(Airport Extreme Base Station)

The current network configuration of me is
    1. AEBS have static IP address. (e.g., 154.123.12.54)
    2. Network printer in my office have static IP address. (e.g., 154.123.12.55)
    3. My iMac is connected to AEBS. And have virtual IP address. (e.g., 10.0.1.201)
The problem is that when I trying to add my network printer on my iMac,
it works. I can find my network printer in the list.
But when I trying to print with that printer, I think any packet is not sent to network printer.
    I think AEBS block them.
How can I use my network printer under AEBS?
I didn't have any problem with my Belkin wireless router.

When you can, take a look at the old AirPort Express and locate the model number in the faint print on the side of the device.
If you see A1084 or A1088, this is an older Express version that is no longer supported by the current version of AirPort Utility that you are using with the new AirPort Extreme.
If that is the case, your Express is at least 6 years old...probably older...so it is about time to treat yourself to a new version with much faster speeds and more features.

  • Problem with HP 2100 printer under Snow Leopard

I am sorry for me bad english..........I have HP 2100 TN and I have very big problem always. I was try various solutions form net- from direct HP web page - http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&obje ctID=c01844302 and from another users also - for example from this : http://www.mariasguides.com/2009/09/03/using-an-hp-laserjet-2100tn-with-snow-leo pard/
But none solution is not function in me comp. I am desperate..... Al another printers in me home are without problems, but this HP 2100 not. I find any working solutions 2 days, I was try reinstall all, but not, not, not ..... Can you help me any ? Or I will be must buy any another printer ?........Thank you in advance. ([email protected])

    Jirka,
First, don't worry about your English, its good enough for me to understand what is wrong. Most likely the problem is what hamiller described, but let me try to expand on it.
Apple dropped support for AppleTalk in Snow Leopard. That means the mechanism you were using to discover and setup your printer no longer works under 10.6. What you need to do is find out the IP address of your LaserJet 2100TN and add the printer queue directly using HP JetDirect - Socket. That option shows up under the IP button in Add Printer.
In order to find out the IP address of your printer, the easiest thing to do is print the Self Test Page (Simultaneously press GO and JOB CANCEL). If the Self Test page doesn't give you an IP address, now you're off in the weeds of JetDirect land. Specifically your printer includes printer an EIO Slot for HP JetDirect 600 N print servers. I really don't know much about them, but if you are still having problems post back here and I'll try to find somebody that does.
And note, that if the IP address in your printer makes no sense to the router you are currently connected to, just because you have the IP address, the printer still won't print. In any event if you can't get things working, please also post the IP address the Printer thinks it has.
    Just trying to help.
