Printer Using Bluetooth

Hello,
I just got a Canon MP460 and also bought with it a Dongle bluetooth device to print from my Mac. I installed the Canon printer software. How do I set up a printer if I'm using bluetooth? I've looked in the manuals to both and I can't find where they can tell me step by step what to do. This whole bluetooth thing is fairly new to me so I'm confused as how to work with it.
Thanks!

The iPad mini supports Bluetooth keyboards in the same way that all other iPad models have.  There are not many keyboards available yet that are specially designed for the mini yet, but I am sure the will be soon.  In the mean time you can use any Bluetooth keyboard that is designed for the bigger iPad, Mac, or whatever.

  • Help needed in printing pc to pc (printer) using bluetooth

I require to create a application in final year in which i have to print from my pc to another persons pc who has a printer attached (both pcs are bluetooth enabled using bluetooth dongles using Microsoft stack)
Do i have to use java rmi ??
How do i implement this ?? plz i need help !!!

Adrian, the GIMP Print drivers might have been
installed automatically when Tiger was installed on
your computer. They are for older model printers
whose own drivers aren't native for Tiger. They
might interfere with a printer's own driver from the
    printer maker.
I think you may have supplied a link to the Epson incompatibility before spacesuiter. Could you please refresh my memory. I seem to recall the problem was a color shift that was noted on the higher end Epson printers. I have heard of no other specific problems associated with any manufacturer's drivers and any third party drivers including the Gutenprint drivers. I will say that the Epson drivers seemed flawed. They cannot see my SP 1280 if I have my Epson SC 800 attached with a parallel to USB adapter -- even an Epson adapter. That is not a problem with the Gutenprint drivers. As soon as I unplug the SC 800, the SP 1280 functions fine with the Epson drivers.
In Adrian's case, it appears to me that there is no provision in the Canon PPD for printing black. This is more than a color shift problem. The PPD for the BJC-2100 included with the Gutenprint drivers does contain provisions for Grayscale and Black(inverted grayscale) printing.

  • How do I connect printer using bluetooth

What do I need to do to my printer so I can use bluetooth to make a wireless connection. I saw a bluetooth device that plugs into the usb plug on the printer, is that all there is to it.
    Thanks

The Bluetooth profile HCRP is :
HCRP (hardcopy cable replacement profile). This profile allows the transfer of rendered data between Bluetooth-enabled devices, such as between a laptop and a printer. It is assumed that the client device (in this case, the laptop) will include a driver that renders the data. Note that Mac OS X supports Bluetooth printing through the Mac OS X printing API.
(from the Apple Bluetooth Device Access Guide )
To have the HCRP profile, you'll need to have Bluetooth software 1.5, or later. I'm running OSX 10.2.8 and ASAIK I have Bluetooth 1.3.2, so I don't have the HCRP profile.
You can use the Bluetooth Setup Assistant in /Applications/Utilities to configure your Bluetooth device, once the device is within range.
To sum up, whether the Bluetooth adapter in the link will work for you depends on the OSX version you're running on your G4. I would guess if you're running Panther, or Tiger, you'll probably have HCRP.
Sorry I can't be of more help.

  • Can I print to a Printer using Bluetooth

I am looking to setup a Printer using the Built in Bluetooth of my Ipad 2 and 3.
Everything I read, states that the Ipad uses a protocal that will only work with WiFi, and the AirPrint.
I have a need to print to either a wifi HP Photosmart device, or the request was made that I purchase a Bluetooth printer.
In looking online, there are many Bluetooth printers, but in researching which one may work for me, I see a lot of negitive, about apple ipads not able to use the bluetooth, in order to print.
Is this True, and if not, are there articles that would help me setup this feature on a couple ipads?
If it is true, then how do I setup the ipads to print to a Wireless Printer.  I currently have no wireless printers in my Wifi network.
Any feedback would be appreciated on this subject, and how to resolve it.
    Thank you.

Apple does not supply BlueTooth printer drivers for the iPad nor will iOS allow you add print drivers.
Apple provides one dirver for  iPad printering that is AirPrinter.  That leaves you buying a compatible airprinter or additional software -- iPad applications for printer or more software/hardware elsewhere.
In a corporate environment you can add software to your severs to allow airprint to your existing printers.

  • Can't print using bluetooth

just got a bluetooth adapter for my canon pixma ip100. I was able to sync it, but when I print, the printer window says "printer is offline". The printer is on. it works when a cable is connected. I can't find any info anywhere in printer manual or canon website on this, and googling is not leading up to anything either. Any suggestions?

A friend of mine had a similar problem. It would appear (unless things have changed recently), that the Canon Printer drivers don't support Bluetooth printing on a Mac.

  • How to print from laptop to HP J6480 All-in-One using bluetooth?

I have a laptop with Vista that is not wired to a printer, but I do have a J6480 in a near room that is hardwired to my desktop.  Both the laptop and printer have bluetooth.  Can I print from my laptop to the printer using bluetooth as the link?
    If so, how?
I briefly tried but when I tried to search for a printer in Word 2007 on the laptop, I got the message, "The Active Directory Domain Services is currently unavaiable."  I don't have a clue what they are trying to tell me. The printer had the bluetooth blue light was on when I was trying to print.
Obviously I not a techie...   Any help would be appreciated.

  • How do I print from an Android device using bluetooth?

You had purchased the Officejet Mobile 100 printer to print from your Android device using bluetooth.
You have the devices paired with bluetooth, but do not see an option to print or the print button does not work in this case.
Well, here is how this can be accomplished in Android.
For this example, I will use the steps to print a photo.
    1.  Pair the devices.
    2.  Open a photo you want to print.
    3.  Select the share option (may say send using depending on the version of Android).
    4.  Select Bluetooth.
    5.  Select the printer from the list of devices.
    6.  The file will be sent to the printer.  You can check the notification area at the top to see how the progress is going.  It may take a few minutes for the sending to finish.
    7.  It should then print the photo.
HP Bluetooth printers natively support the printing of photos only, but a third party app can be used to print documents and other items.

  • Using Bluetooth on a C8180 All-in-One to print from Mac OS-X

    Dear folks,
I have a new iMac and would like to be able to print from it to my 8180 AiO using bluetooth.  My Mac sees the printer (it's paired), and the Mac has the latest print driver installed, and I've verified the bluetooth setup on the 8180,  but nothing I do has enabled the printer to go "online" with bluetooth so that I can print.  Of course, I've verified the printer is fine with a cable connection.  Does anyone have any idea if this should work, and if so, what else I may need to do to make it work?
Please feel free to copy your responses directly to my email: <text removed for privacy>
    Thanks.

did you ever get a response elsewhere? having the same issue with a c5550. no crash though, and it even shows up in the printer queue, but always say disconnected. tried to edit serial port options. says it's connected for a moment. try to print. still disconnected. green light goes off.

  • Can I use bluetooth wireless adapter on my C6180 to print from my phone?

I would like to know it I can use a wireless bluetooth adapter on my HP Photosmart C6180 in order to print from my
cell phone. I would like to plug it into the USB port on the back.  I don't have a smart phone but it will print via bluetooth.
The printer is currently connected to my wireless router with a cat 5 cable.  This allows me to print from my laptop using
the printer's IP address.  But what about bluetooth?
    Thanks

    HI,
The usb port in the back will not allow you to print via bluetooth, for the simple fact that their are no (as far as i know) bluetooth dongle with the squere usb connection. The unit however does have a front usb port which might support a bluetooth stick. BEst way to find out is to plug a bluetooth dongle in there and see what happens. I can only tell you I did it like that on my own D6160 printer and for me it worked.

  • Using bluetooth printer with Iphone4 IOS5.

Is it possible to connect to e.g. Canon Selphy 780/800 from the iphone?
I'm doing a lot of scrapbooking and want to be able to print when I am travelling to update some of the projects I do. I have seen both the popo printer and the Canon Selphy printers which  both uses bluetooth from mobile phones.....but does anyone know whether it will work from my Iphone?

    not out of the box
to print one require a printer driver bluetooth is just a means to connect with
ios dont support 3th party driver
ios support a generic driver called airprint this is wifi no bluetooth and if printer makers follow that std they printers can be printed to from ios
many printer makers make their own printing apps and put them in app store for free look for a printer app from canon in app store to see if your printer is supported

  • E90 using bluetooth to connect with HP printer, do...

Hi guys, I would like to connect my E90 to a HP printer via bluetooth, I needed to get a bluetooth dingle to enable my printer to communicate with the E90, has anyone already try this method ? I hope to acheive  a direct connection with phone to printer.
How can it be acheived by eliminating the PC ? I hope in the future to connect my PC via bluetooth to printer also. I recognise a printer icon in the office folder, does it need a driver installed on handset to activate on E90?

I use an HP 5160 & TWO HP 335 Photosmart printers (one with a greyscale cartridge, the other with a photo cartridge) I have normal cheap bluetooyh dongles in all three, all users are able to send images by bluetooth,& with my e90 communicator I am able to send web pages,& various documents by bluetooth,PS I refill my cartridges by syinge & top quality inks from refillman.co.uk,(they have videos tutorials also) I hope this helps, you will have no bother with your Nokia/HP combination, indeed many of the user manuals have HP printers in the background photos,& the printer drivers embedded in the Nokia devices gave me clues that I also should use Nokia/HP combination,I have had communicators fo 10 years now & the rest of us must have have had 60 different,ALWAYS NOKIA handsets over the years, each year getting Better & Better, hth,Regards,Ray

  • How to connect my cannon mx470 series printer with bluetooth to my mini mac?

how to connect my cannon mx470 series printer with Bluetooth to my mini mac

Does the printer actually support BlueTooth? If the printer is wireless, then most likely it uses Wi-Fi. Did you read the user guide that came with it? Or contact Canon tech support at their website.

  • Print via bluetooth direct to printer

I have the 8330 BB Curve (my 3rd blackberry) and I am trying to print directly from my bb to a printer via Bluetooth. Now I was in a store and made it work with a multifunction HP printer. I then took home a Canon IP100 portable and got a bluetooth adaptor. Canon, however does not support direct printing, only HP. So I returned it and got a portable HP H470, but the wi-fi version (couldn't get the bluetooth one easily) and tried putting the bluetooth adaptor in it, but cannot get it to print. Any suggestions?

    hello,
it is a HP H470 issue. Contact HP support and ask them if there is a way of using that device with a bluetooth adapter.
