Printer will only work connected with USB direct to computer

A few weeks ago I was printing a long document. In the middle of it, it went on hold. Since then I cannot print wireless with either of my computers. If I plug the USB direct from the printer to the computer the printer will work. I cannot print wireless. Do I need a new Airport?

Try a simple reset of the printing system as follows:
Make sure that the printer is plugged into the AirPort Express and everything is powered up
Open System Preferences on the dock and click Print & Fax
Right-click or control-click in the area where you see the printer listed
Select Reset Printing System
Click the + button
Highlight your printer on the available printer list
Click Add

Why will my Iphone connect via USB on one computer and not another?

My IPhone 5s connected to my laptop and Itunes no problem, as soon as i did the ITunes update now neither my laptop or my ITunes will read my iphone via USB. I have no idea how to fix it.
(My laptop is Windows 8)
It can't be a cable issue because i charged my IPhone via my desktop and it connected no problem, it's something to do with this ITunes update i think.
Can someone suggest a fix please? I'm totally stuck!

could be your computer's firewall is preventing the proper installation of your CIT200. try disabling and reinstalling the drivers again.

After being dropped in water my Ipod will only work when hooked up to the computer or docking station. It will not hold a charge. What do I need to do?

Take it to an Apple store. Most likely you will have to get a replacement for which you will be charged the replacement fee.
Rice only absorbs water. But it cannot prevent damage to the device.

It will show up, when connected directly by USB as a camera.

I really appreciate all your help. Today I spent some time on the problem. First I purchased any video converter from the ap store and then I connected the camera to the mac with the original usb cable that came with the camera. I turned on the camera and selected backup on pc and the logo came up on my home page. I opened it and after several attempts i found the 3 video files that were on the camera. I then converted them from a tod file to mp4 and then transfered them to imovie. Now I have to figure out how to send the video to youtube or move it to an external hard drive which I have not been able to do. So far I am not too fond of imovie 11. If you could send me the download for imovie 6 I then could try that route. When talking to apple support yesterday about the problem they suggested to get Final Cut Express. HP computer will not work properly with an HP printer

I have the following two items that I am trying to use together:
- HP 23" TouchSmart Desktop, T6500 2.1GHz 4GB DDR3, 500GB HDD (Windows 7)
- HP OfficeJet 6500 Multi-Function Printer/Scanner/Fax
When I try to scan to Adobe Acrobat Professional 9.0, the document goes through the scanner, however the dialog box that I would expect (e.g. "Next Page" or "Done") never shows up. At this point, the system is unresponsive with respect to Adobe or the printer.
I suspect that it is waiting for the input from the dialog box that never showed up. I tried to move the other windows to see if the dialog opened in the background, however I am not able to select any of them (they remain frozen).
I contacted HP Support, only to have them tell me it must be the driver, and I have an "old" printer. (I did not realize that a 9 month old printer was considered "old"). I have tried all of the possible drivers that are available (original disk, downloads, other downloads from HP tech support), none of these resolves the problem.
In any case, they were unable to resolve the problem of having an HP computer work properly with an HP printer. (The printing function seems to work, just very slowly).
Has anyone else heard of this? Is there a resolution?

Update: I am still looking for a solution to this problem - the scanning portion of the Multi-function OfficeJet 6500 does not work properly with the HP TouchSmart computer.
I have not been able to find anyone in HP that can tell me when (or if) new drivers will be released for this printer.
I decided to investigate upgrading to a newer version of printer since HP told me the 9 month old printer I have was "obsolete", only to find that the identical printer is still on sale in many stores. Hmmm....
I feel like I am getting the run-around from HP.
I have since tried several more driver/software combinations, but every time I have the same problem (as described in the previous post).
If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, I would be most happy to hear them.

I've just updated OS to 10.10.1 and Finder keeps trying to open and then closes every 2 seconds with the message Finder is not Available. If Safari is opened full window it immediately closes and will only work with window smaller than maximum.

My USB printer (Lexmark E350d) worked fine with the old Airport, but I'm having trouble with the new one. When I try to print, I get a USB Waiting message on the printer, and when I force a page to print by pressing Go on the printer, I get a page that says ERROR: syntaxerror OFFENDING COMMAND: true. . . .cvt . . . fpgm . . . x . . .lglyf . . . <..J head . . . STACK: / [ -mark- /sfnts I’ve tried shutting down the printer and disconnecting it and the Airport, but that doesn’t help. I reset the settings on the printer. I upgraded the Airport firmware and removed, reinstalled, and upgraded the Lexmark printer driver. After I upgraded the firmware and printer driver, a few pages printed correctly, but then I got the same syntax error page as before. Any suggestions for getting the printer to work correctly?

Use a powered USB hub between the AE and the printer.. the usb port does sometimes have issues.
Try deleting the printer in the Mac and reinstall it.. the change in AE can represent effectively a change of printer.. it is important to make sure that is all up to date.
Beyond that.. USB printers.. ughhh! Consider for two toners you can go and buy a proper network printer.

Usb will only work for powered devices

I am having an issue to where my USB ports will only work for devices that have power supplied to them, ie an external hard drive that has a power adapter and not for devices that do not have power supplied to them. I was seeing if anyone could help me resolve this issue?
I have a Macbook Pro 15 inch Late 2011 model w/ the 2.2 Ghz i7 Processor.

This is highly unlikely, the USB specification (to which Apple adhere) requires a constant 1 amp at 5 volts, a peak of 2 amps for a brief period is available. All reputable manufacturers adhere to this spec, it is more likely a fault condition.

and reset the SMC http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
Reboot the machine and try again.
If this brings no relief you should follow Oglethorpes advice and take it to Apple for repair.
