Printer will print wirelessly from my iphone and not my laptop!
Specs:
Printer - Photosmart D110a
Operating System - Windows 7 64 Bit
laptop - toshiba if that's relavent
So when I got my printer, I'd like to say around two years ago, it was working fine. I don't recall when or why it stopped printing wirelessly, but at the time I was too caught up in my school work and extracurriculars to have time to try to fix it. There is no error message really. I have tried reconnecting it to my router and the connection is totally fine! The other day my mom printed off something from her iphone and that really ground my gears because I just can't figure out what's wrong with my printer!
The solution center just says that my printer is disconnected until I plug it in with a usb I have.
I think wireless printing is really cool and I paid for a wireless printer so I might as well fix it. Help is appreciated Thanks!

Why can I print from my iPhone and not my iPad? I have been able to do it in the past. I have tried a hard reset but it still cannot find the printer.
In addition to rebooting the router and the iPad, I would reset the printer as well. Unplug the printer from power and do the same with the router. Leave the router unplugged for about 30 seconds. Plug the router in first and let it totally start up, plug the printer in again, and then reboot/reset the iPad.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If that doesn't work, you can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. Your WiFi passwords, location services, device preferences all have to be re-entered. You will not lose any data or media whatsoever. -
I am getting messages about being out of space on my phone for taking any more photos. I am scared to delete anything with all the photo stream and syncing that happens cause I don't want the photo to delete in many places at the same time.
So, 1) when is it safe to delete from the iPhone? 2) I feel like I have multiple copies of photos stored between the phone, Photos Library in iPhoto and all my albums in iPhoto. Is there a best practice document on how to manage your photos for space savings?
I've looked, but can't find my answer clearly in the forums.IF you have successfully imported your pictures to your Mac http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083 then it's safe to delete it from your phone.

How can I get my new iPhone to update with backup from old iPhone and not iPad?
Hi. I just got a new iPhone 4S to replace my old iPhone 3GS. For some reason when I tried using setting up my new phone from the backup of m old phone it put a backup of my iPad. Is there a way I can retrieve this data for the phone? I didn't have any contacts with the ipad backup, just the phone and I really need them.

Welcome to the HP Support forums. I understand that when trying to print from your laptop that you get a communication error message.
To better assist you, would you please provide some further information:
1) How is the printer connected (USB cable, ethernet or wireless)?
2) When you installed the printer on your laptop did you set it up with a USB cable? If yes, did you switch the connection type on the laptop from USB cable to ethernet/wireless?
3) What version of Windows operating system are you running on the laptop (Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8, etc)?
4) When printing from your iPhone are you using Apple's AirPrint or HP's ePrint app?

I bought a new HP Officejet 6500A Plus and it says I can print wirelessly from my iphone. I have yet to figure out how to do that. I find wireless networks available but how on earth do I print from the phone to the printer?

Just purchased a office jet 6500A Plus so that I can print from my iPhone and iPad. I can print form my iPhone but my iPad 2 tells me there is no air printer available. Why does one device recognize the air printer but the other device does not?
I have the 6500A without plus and it is with a LAN cable connected with my Router.
First make sure you have the latest printer firmware installed.
Next restart the printer and the Router.
I had the same. Problem but it went away after rebooting the Router. -
I was wondering, is there an application I can download from the App Store that allows me to plug in a USB cord from my Iphone and print from any printer?
Sorry but no. iOS does not support connecting a printer via USB, only via WiFi, and without such support there's no way a developer can build an app to provide such capability.

Yosemite does not recognize HP printer after upgrade. I can print from my iPhone, but not my 13" Macbook Air (2013)
Are others having the same problems?Try this. Worked for me.
- turn off your router
- turn off you Mac's after removing all available printers
- turn off all iDevices
- do a factory reset of your printer remove all cables min. 30 sec.
- turn on your router first
- ran the network set up wizard
- give your printer also a new name like "DeskJet 2015"
Something which you don't have used before.
- turn on your Mac's and add your printer
- turn on your iDevices at least.
Should work after these steps.
It worked for me including all iDevices.

Another way to do this is to use Contact Sheet (https://itunes.apple.com/app/id894488957?mt=8) which can print your contacts and pictures or it can export them into an Excel file. You can print all of your contacts or just a select group that you choose. You can even share contacts and only include the fields you want, so, for example, if you want to share email addresses with a new mom's group but you don't want to share home addresses, you can create a contact share file (VCF) that only includes the names and email addresses of the members of your new mom's group!

Can I create separate folders to save media on my Airport Time Capsule? Issue is I have a 256GB HDD Mac Pro Retina which is almost full. TC will only take backup of my HDD. So where would I save my photos and videos from my iPhone and iPad?
It is a hard one.. laptops with small drives are a pain.
What you need is a home media server.
Some people use a PC running itunes for cost.. but that is nothing like as good as using a Mac mini.. they make great little HTPC device.. you can plug in large hard disks and store all your files and media. And share it with the network.. Read up apple's instructions on home sharing.

For cost you can buy a mini from 2011 or 2012.. I would not recommend earlier ones.. the advantage of 2012 is they have USB3 ports. But you will pay more for them.. new mini is not as useful.. they have soldered in memory and you cannot upgrade.. the old mini was the most easily modified mac in the whole range. Uses little power and can be bought for a $300US for a good one second hand.. maybe less. -

My iPhone is running out of storage. I want to delete a bunch of photos on my phone. I have iCloud. How do I delete photos from the iPhone and keep them on my computer? I need to free up storage as my phone will no longer take photos.
The only way you can do that is to import them into your library first, but you may have done that already.
The easiest way to tell is to select a photo from the photostream album in iPhoto and ctrl-click on it, if it gives you the option to import it isn't in your iPhoto library, if it offers you the option to show in library it has already been imorted.
