Printer won't install

officejet 5610 will not install.  It worked yeaterday until I refreshed my coomputer to get rid of spyhunter that drove me nuts.

I have resolved the issue, I removed the printer it was showing in devices. And then connected via USB and tried to reinstall the printer, and it accepted it this time.

  • Epson 635 printer won't install via wireless with Mountain Lion

I am helping a friend with the upgrade to Mountain Lion and She has a giant desktop which I think is a MacPro but I'm not sure. Anyway everything works fine except now her Epson 635 printer won't see the wireless network. To me this seems like a router problem but all other computers see the network via the router. Also, this only happened with this upgrade. We've uninstalled and reinstalled the printer, drivers, etc and still no go. Forgive me if my lingo is off but I am a tad new to Mac.  Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Here's a "Print 101" guide for Mac computers:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4670
I believe that you're talking about an Epson WorkForce 635, which I'm quite sure Apple supports because they support the WorkForce 630 [series].
So try removing the printer from the MacBook and re-installing it per the guide.
P.S.: I'm running a WorkForce 645 printer just fine from Mountain Lion.

  • Acrobat 7 pdf printer won't install

Finally managed to get CS2 installed on a new Vista machine after old pc died, and apps appear to work. Acrobat 7 launches with no issues. However if I try to create a PDF from Word, it tells me the pdf printer isn't installed (and its not listed in printers). If I try to open the word file in acrobat, it tells me it can't find the adobe resources.
Any idea what the problem is? CS2 wouldn't install to the /Programs (x86) folder - installed to a new folder called /Programs x86.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    George

If you upgraded to VISTA X64, you also likely upgraded OFFICE also to OFFICE 2007. Both VISTA and OFFICE 2007 require AA8.1.2 I think (Vista had problems with earlier AA8 versions). Thus, AA7 is an issue that you are lucky if you get it to work in those environments. Actually it would be nice if MS would quit messing up their OS so that other software has to be upgraded. Adobe works at a rather low level of the system and getting all the bugs out when trying to follow MS specifications is apparently a real pain (think MS makes their specs kind of crazy on purpose - and folks often need to complain to MS rather than the software vendors). You might have heard that MS had to add their help system back in after the fact (they had purposely removed it from VISTA) since their own OFFICE products used the help system. Apparently a lot of companies also complained about Netmeeting that originally was dropped from VISTA and a new version was added that is VISTA compatible. Bill

Does it ask you to install from the "drivers disk" or go online to download them?

  • Printer won't install on Windows 7 Business edition

I bought this today and I went to install it via the disc. The installation stopped me and told me I had the wrong operating system when surely Windows 7 Buisness edition should be supported?
Is there a way around this or do I need to buy another operating system just to use my printer?

    Hey,
First try installing the software below and check for any differnce:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=mp-120038-6&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en...
If the same error appears a such may happen due to other issues than the operating system version (e.g. lack of Administrator rights, free space, ram, etc.
Follow these guidelines, the steps should be similar for Windows 7:

Additionally let me know how much free space and RAM you have on your PC, as well look for any Details button once the error message appears.

  • D1660 printer won't install in Vista home premium

I have tried several times to install this printer; t keeps erroring  giving an error code of:"Fatal error MSI.dot4wrp01, Module C:\windows\system32\hpbmiapi.dll failed to register.
Here's a list of the corrective steps from the support pages that I've tried:
Gave all users full permission to \program files, (all sub directories)
         Ran msconfig - selective startup
         disabled anti-virus
         Ran msiexec /unreg and rereg
checked for Windows updates - returned up to date
ran sfc /scannow - no defective files found
every attempt has had the exact same result. I can't find anything else to check/change/try

This worked for me (assuming you have atl.dll installed in the System32 folder) after researching:
    1. Go to the Windows/System32 folder
    2. Find CMD.exe and right-click on it
    3. Choose "Run as Administrator"
    4. At the command prompt type --> "regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\atl.dll" and Enter
    5. Restart the computer and run the HP installation software again
    6. You should be good to go
BTW, do the HP techies ever Google the error codes???

  • PDF Printer won't install

    Hey all,
I have a Windows XP SP3 here with an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 Ghz and 2 GB of RAM. When I install CS4, I am able to install everything BUT the PDF printer for Adobe PDF.
Is there a way to fix this/install it manually?
I've reformatted twice and reinstalled 7 times and this is never fixed.
    Help?

  • After upgrading to 10.3.9, Epson R340 printer won't install

I was happily using both an Epson C84 and an Epson R340 printer on my old red iMAC on OS 10.2.X. I upgraded to OS10.3.9. The C84 prints properly. The R340 doesn't. When I tried making a photo, I got a "Communication Error" message and found that the Printer was not in the Printer List. I reinstalled the printer driver, both from the latest downloadable version, and from the CD that came with the computer. After getting the "Searching for drivers" message, when the tool bar is set to Epson USB nothing appears. When the tool bar is set to USB, I get a message that the R340 driver is not installed. Curiously, the Epson Printer Utility recognizes the R340 and will perform a nozzle check and print out the sample.
I have tried uninstalling the driver first, have repaired permissions and the hardrive, rebooted a million times, swapping the USB cords between the C84 and the R340, all to no avail. Any suggestions. Many thanks!!

I would navigate to Mac OS X disk/Library/Printers/EPSON/ and trash the driver(s) that are there for the R340. Disconnect the R340 from the computer and then download and install only the driver from the EPSON site since the one on the CD might be obsolete. Repair Disk Permissions and restart the computer. Attach the R340 and see if Printer Setup Utility sees it.
