Printer won't print from one computer in network

We have a family network and for some reason on of the computers no longer can print. The printer is a photosmart c7280 all-in-one. I uninstalled the printer and driver and then downloaded a new driver and installed it to the computer. The computer's network recognized the printer but nothing that is sent to the printer prints and i just get an error message but no reason why. The printer is physically connected to a x-p computer and the computer in question is running Vista. However, that shouldn't be a problem because this computer used to be able to print. I just don't know what to check to make sure nothing has been turned on or turned off on the computer so that the printer doesn't recognize this printer any longer.
Before i downloaded the new driver, i deleted the old one and now I have just discovered that after i reinstalled the driver, there is not printer listed in the windows device manager. The printer does show up in my network area tho and in the printer folder. i have no idea what's going on.

Is the XP computer connected to the C7280 via USB?
How is the C7280 connected to the home network?
How is the Vista computer connected to the home network? Can you open the printer's internal web page by browsing to its IP address?

Photosmart C7280 will not print from one computer on wireless network

C7280 will not print from desktop computer via a home wireless network. It has worked in the past, but ceased recently.
It will print from a laptop on the same network.
I have tried to comply with the procedures on the HP Support and Drivers site, such as the HPHNDU.exe routine and others, but have had no success.
I would appreciate some help. My previous post in May has not had any replies.

Can't airport print from one computer

hi, i have several computers on my network; one of them is unable to print using the airport express. it can print fine when connected directly to the printer, just not when connected via the airport. the other two computers can print fine using the airport express.
i've tried restarting the computer, zapping the PRAM, restarting the airport express, and right clicking the printer settings dialog to reset printing system. i've also trashed several prefs files:

nothing works - can't make it print, unless i plug straight in. i tried downloading the drivers from the apple website, but that just directs me to the canon website, which only has drivers for OS 10.5.
can anyone suggest anything?

You don't mention in your posting if the two computers that can print via the Airport are Mac's or PC's and what OS they are running. If they are Mac's and also running 10.6 then your symptom is unusual.
Checking the Canon web site it shows that there is no 10.6 driver for the i350. The v4.8.3 driver for the i350 lists 10.5 as the latest OS supported so one would assume that you are using this driver and for whatever reason it is not compatible with Bonjour communication.
I also checked the Gutenprint driver suite and it does not show the i350 as a supported model either.
But the model is supported by [PrintFab|http://www.printfab.net]. This software suite costs €49 but there is a 30 day trial available so at least you can test it. Personally, with the price of inkjets these days, I would buy a new printer rather than pay that much money to support such an old printer.

HP Officejet Pro 8500- prints wirelessly from one computer in network but not the other

I can print wirelessly from my laptop, but not my desktop. The printer shows on the list, checked as the default, and READY, but document does not seem to find its way there. It never shows up in the print queue.

Download and run this utility. It should indicate what is wrong.

HP 2050 deskjet all in one -- will scan but won't print from this computer

My deskjet 2050 will scan from both of my macbook computers, but will only print from one. It gives an "on hold" message whenever I print from this computer. Then I hit "resume" and it says "nothing is being held." I have already downloaded and re-installed the driver, and it didn't make any difference.
It prints fine from the other computer, but it's a pain to have that limitation.

I see you're running into print issues. I would like to help with that!
What version of mac are you using?
I would suggest deleting the printer from your print system, using this document: Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Once you have deleted it, I would suggest verifying and repairing the disk permissions: About Disk Utility's Repair Disk Permissions feature.
I would also suggest running your Apple updates: OS X: Updating OS X and Mac App Store apps
After the updates, I would recommend reinstalling the HP Deskjet 2050 All-in-One Printer.

Hp 3510 is printing horizontally from one computer and normally from the other

My printer HP 3510 has been printing horizontally from one computer and normally on another. Why does this happen and how can I correct the problem?

You try to print portrait, but it comes out landscape. When you checked that setting, was it at the document level or at the default level? The document setting overrides the default level setting.
If the document level setting is on Portrait and the document is coming out Landscape, I recommend downloading and running the HP Print and Scan Doctor for Windows. Does that help?

I have been using Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 for two years. I got a new printer and installed it although I did not remove my old printer from my computer. I used this program and my new printer for quite a few months, but today I deleted my old printer

I have been using Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 for along time now. When I first used the program I had a different printer than I have now. Although I changed printers I never removed the software from my old one. Now this was never a problem until today. When I choose a printer I still had option to use the old one but always chose my new HP Envy 5530 and Adobe never had a problem printing from that new printer. However today I decided to remove my old printer from my computer and now my Adobe cannot find my new printer. How can I make it find the HP printer?

Printer will not copy but will print from the computer

Hp Photosmart D110 all in one printer--I am totally disgusted with this printer...have had it a few months. It will only get about 160 economy pages per ink cartridge which is ridiculous. So we bought an ink refill kit and just refilled and reinstalled the black ink cartridge. it is printing from the computer just fine but the printer WILL NOT COPY. When I use the tool box and check ink levels it just shows question marks on both ink cartridges.
I spent 45 minutes on HP Chat Support and got no answers except that I need to use genuine HP Cartridges. They could not explain to me why the printer would print but not copy with refilled cartridge.
Any help from any of you regarding the NOT copying and the ink cartridges.....thanks so much

Thanks for clarifying that information.
You would have to restore the printer's defaults and reset up the printer on their network at the new location every time, to be able to print from the clients computer and you would have to connect to their network on your computer and add the printer back in again with the new IPv4 address.
Another way you could do this is through a USB connection or use the Wireless Direct.
You would have to enable the Wireless Direct on the printer through the printer's Embedded Web Server if you didn't select this feature during the installation. This will allow both computers to connect directly to the printer and print, but keep in mind you won't have internet access at the same time. So you can print when connected to the printer's network or connect back to the main network again to access the internet.
Here are the steps for enabling the Wireless Direct through the printer's Embedded Web Server if you decide to go this route. Print a configuration page to get the printer's IPv4 address. Printing a Configuration Page.
Type the IP address into your web browser's address bar. (Internet Explorer)
Then click on the Networking tab, select Wireless Direct Setup on the left side and check the Enable wireless direct printing.
I hope I explained that alright for you. The USB connection would most likely be the easiest way to go.

Hi - A couple of things to try. First, in whatever app you're in, go into File, Print and Printer Properties and set the paper size appropriately. After that, go into Page Setup in whatever app you're in and set the appropriate size in there as well. In many cases, this problem is caused by different sizes being set within the printer driver and the app. If that doesn't work, go back into Printer Properties and try choosing a different paper type (Plain Paper). I've also had that resolve the problem before.
