Printhead for hp photosmart c6380

I am having printing problem with my Photosmart C6380, I have just resolved one problem via forum and now I have another one. I keep getting printhead probem/ink supply problem, even with new hp inks. I have followed all the cleaning instructions with no success so I have decided to replace the Printhead. Where do I buy one? I have tried putting info ionto HP search and am given a bewildering selection of printheads but no suggestion of which one I want. I have entered both the codes I can find on the old printhead but one gives me all sorts of answers and the other on replies does not recognise.
All I want is the item code so I can order the thing.
Hoping for success.

After this scanner/printer has loaded down the Driver - Product Installation Service the next step of downloading software is interrupted by the notice/instruction "The system cannot find the file specified" identified as
    C:\Users\Owner\Appdata\Local\Temp\7zS2780\Setup\.\Setup\blocksysuserins...
Then the  Driver - Product Installation Service is once again downloaded and when that issue is successfully completed, then, once again, the next download is interrupted by

That means that my HP Photosmart C6380 in Windows 7 will be useless during an infinite time.

    Hi,
Follow the steps below and check if that resolve the issue:
    1. Open Mcafee software, from the Virus and Spyware Protection section click on Schedule and run scans. Click on Real time scanning and then on Turn Off. select till I restart the PC and confirm by clicking the Turn Off button.
Now try reinstalling the HP Software and check if the installation goes as expected.
If the issue persists continue following the next steps below:
    2. Open the run dialog by clicking both the Windows key and the R key on your keyboard. Type %windir% and click on OK.
    3. Type hpoins*.dat into the top search bar, if there are any results rename the extention into old instead of dat. (e.g. hpoins1.old)

  • Printing Proofsheet for HP Photosmart C6380

I recently replaced an older HP printer with the C6380.  With my previous printer I could print out a proofsheet to select the prints I wanted to actually print.  Is there a way to do that with the C6380?
    Thank you

    Hello vcer,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
Sorry to hear about the install issues on Windows 8.1 for your C6380, that document you got the information regarding those file extension is usually the fix.
I have found that a lot of new Windows 8.1 computer are coming pre-loaded with McAfee, is this the Anit-Virus on your computer? If so, disable it then try to install the software. I have had good results with that step in the past.
If it is not the Anti-Virus software installed, what is?
Thanks for posting your question here.

Sorry to hear that you are getting errors when attempting to install the HP Software and Drivers for your printer.
Please remove any cables that you have connected to the printer with the exception of the power cable. Please make sure you have the power cable connected direct to a wall outlet and NOT a power bar/strip. Here is a document that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.  Note that the printer in the document is a LaserJet printer and this is only used as an example and that the document is meant for HP products in general.
Please remove the Printer from the computer with the use of the uninstall utility that can be located in the All Programs menu in the HP folder under the model of your printer.
Please click on the following link to download and install the printers HP Photosmart C6300/6324 All-in-One Printer series Full Feature Software and Driver. Please save the file to your desktop so that it creates it's own Icon.
Once the download is complete, double click the Icon and follow the instructions. Please do NOT connect any cables to the printer until the installation prompts you to do so.
If you have any other questions  or any concerns, please feel free to write me back.

  • What is the Claim Code for an HP Photosmart C6380

I am trying to be able to print my Yahoo e-mails from my Samsung Galaxy S3 (4.1.2) to my HP Photosmart C6380 using HP e-Print. Both connected to my home Wi-Fi. If you have any idea how to do it, please let me know the step by step procedure. Thanks.

Hi there, the Photosmart C6380 is not an ePrint enabled printer so it will not have a claim code. To print from the Galaxy S3, the first thing you can try is to download HP's free ePrint mobile print app. Although its named ePrint it does support printing to some legacy wireless HP printers provided the printer is on the same WiFi network as your Galaxy S3. When you have the app installed on the phone, open it and it will automatically try and discover any printers that are on the network. Here's a link where you can learn more about the app and it also includes a download link to the Google Play Store http://www8.hp.com/us/en/products/smart-phones-handhelds-calculators/mobile-apps/app_details.html?ap...
Give that a try and see how you get on.

  • HP Photosmart C6380 not scanning or photo printing with Windows 8

Just purchased HP M6/1125DX/15j with Windows 8. My current HP printer is an HP Photosmart C6380 All In One.  The printer does work but the photo part and scanning icons no longer appear that were on my desktop before. I tried to download the whole program that said would update my printer but after 6 tries at an hour each, at the end it just said my download was cancelled. Is there any chance my printer will be supported by Windows 8 and how do I do that if I can't download.  Or am I stuck buying a new printer? Thanks

    Hi,
The C6380 is supported in Windows 8 and has a Full Solution Download.  I would try using the Print Install Wizard to help download and install the drivers.

  • HP PhotoSmart C6380 will only print to default printer in Outlook

    Hello,
I hope you can help me figure this out.  We recently purchased a HP PhotoSmart C6380 for an employee here and we have encountered a strange problem.  If the printer is selected as default, then regardless of what printer we choose in Outlook only we can only print to that printer.  The last printer she had did not do this and it was an HP as well (although I can't remember the model).  Both printers were set up as network printers.  The difference is that on the previous printer we set it up by created a TCP/IP port and sharing that out to others.  This printer had a network option upon install, so I did it that way.
Anyone that is sharing this printer has the same problem.  If they want to print out any e-mail (does not matter if there are attachments) it will only go to this HP printer regardless.  We are using Office 2007 and I have done my research on it as well, and I can't find a common thread, since the last printer was also used to print within it, but had no problems choosing other printers.
The only thing I can come up with is the way I installed this printer.  We just had a network cable attached to it and had the software search for it and set it up in that fashion.  Again, I don't think it's Outlook 2007 because it only occurs with this particular printer, albeit only in that application.
Has anyone ever seen anything like this?
    Thanks,
    mtaffer

    Hi SportBilly15,
Welcome to the HP Support forums.   I understand that your Photosmart 6510 is not printing black ink correctly.

  • Photosmart C6380 not recognized on network by Windows 7

Photosmart C6380 worked great on Windows XP computer. It could be accessed through the network from several XP and VISTA computers. Installed a Windows 7 64 bit computer. It could not print to the networked printer on an XP computer. Installed the printer on the Windows 7 64bit computer and could print to it from the Windows 7 computer it was attached to. Could not print to it from the XP computers. Have downloaded latest HP drivers for Windows 7.  I have seen a number of people complaining about the same problem in Microsoft forums. They have not been able to solve the problem. I downloaded an HP network test program to the XP computer and it does not see the HP printer on the Windows 7 computer. XP OS does see the printer and adds it but it doesn't print.

There is a detailed solution to this problem found on How to Geek at the following link:
    http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-7/share-files-and-printers-between-windows-7-and-xp/
This covers both file sharing and print sharing.

  • Used black ink from my HP Photosmart C6380 won't work in my new HP Photosmart 7525

The black ink from my HP Photosmart C6380 won't work in my new HP Photosmart 7525.  The cartridge is a 564 for both printers.  However, I get the message that the ink cartridge has been used previously even though it is a newer cartridge that I had used in my C6380.  Why won't this work?

    Hello LTron,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I see you are looking to use a cartridge previously installed in a different printer, the Photosmart 7525 says it a used cartridge.
If you are trying to use this cartridge before using the setup cartridges that come with the 7525, it will not work. Once the printer is initialized with the setup cartridges you would be able to use other ones.
If you have already used the setup cartridges, this error should only be letting you know that it has been installed in a printer before. Hitting OK, next, etc should clear the error.

  • Photosmart C6380 AiO won't print black

Hi, We have a HP Photosmart C6380 All-in-One that will no longer print black. The photo black and the color cartridges are OK as far as I can tell. It is the regular black that won't print. We had this happen the last time we changed the regular black ink cartridge. For some reason the new cartridge wasn't printing anything so we momentarily went back to the old cartridge and it worked again. Then we took out the old cartridge and put back in the new cartridge and it continued working. Now the cartridge is about half empty and it has quit printing black. This shouldn't be a computer related issue. But in case it is important: WIndows XP SP3. Sorry I'm not sure exactly what driver version I'm using but I did run HP Update through the Solution Center -> Help -> Check for Updates and everything is up to date as far as I can tell. I've tried to get the printer to print black by going through the menus on the printer itself Setup -> Tools -> Printer Status Report. It kicks out only a blank page. I tried running the HP Hardware Diagnostic Utility. It reports that everything is fine but, of course, when I tell it to print a test page it kicks out a blank page. We finally gave up and put in a fresh new black ink cartridge (564 XL) and it still doesn't print anything. Any suggestions?

I see this is still being read so the following is an update. My earlier reply mentioned the printer started printing again. It printed for a while but eventually the same problem started again- no black or blank print-outs and a new ink cartridge didn't help. I think the print head was dodgy. The printer wasn't worth the cost of buying a new print head and wasn't sure that would help. I looked for a printer at a thrift store with a matching print head or same ink cartridges. I found a printer that produced a good print test page after some cleaning cycles, bought it, and moved the ink cartridges to the printer.

  • Photosmart C6380 lines in picture prints

I am having problems printing 4x6 photos on the 6380.  Set settings to best picture printing and have black lines running vertically down the picture.  Unable to figure out how to fix, any suggestions?

Hello there! Welcome to the forums @mrbovidar ,
I saw your post about how your scans are now quitting in the middle of a scan job, from your Photosmart C6380. I hope to help you out, and would like to start with a few steps and questions for you.
To see if the problem is hardware related, opposed to software related, try a few copies from the front panel of the unit and let me know if the copies also cancel during a copy job.
Regardless of the copy results, try a reset and ensure the printer is plugged in directly to the wall outlet, avoiding power bars and surge protectors. This ensures the printer is receiving full power, and I have personally witnessed this alone, fixing a scanning communication issue. It's worth a shot.
    Reset:
Press the Power button to turn on the product.
With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    Wait at least 30 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.
Try a scan again, and let me know what happens during the copies and scans.
    Also, let me know:
Which OS you're running on your computer.
If the scanning will work to any other device.
If you have tried another USB cable.
I hope to hear back from you, have an awesome day
