Printing 13x19

When i print a 13x19 a lot of my picture gets cut off (i imagine it's because the original is in 8x10 proportions). I dont mind if the image is distorted, i just need the full image on the 13x19 paper. I am using photo elements.
Please help - thanks,
Nancy

Photo sizing. You may see reduced "quality", distortion, and pixillation since you are enlarging.

  • Lightroom - Printing 13x19

I have a problem getting Lightroom to accept the 13x19 sheet size -- don't have this problem with smaller size sheets.  When I hit ok the right margin resets to 4.57".  Am I missing something or is this a bug?  Here's the steps I take (in order):
Set 13x19 sheet size in:  Page Setup & Print setup & Properties & Page Layout.  (This is when the margin resets)
In Page Layout -- Check Reduce/enlarge document to 100% & set size as 13x19.
In Layout -- set the cell size to 13x19
In Impage Setting -- check zoom to fit
    Thanks for the help.

    Claude,
    A couple of points:
    1. "Adobe" tends not to post to the forums about issues that may well be related to third party products. Instead, they leave it to users and forum hosts (i.e. it's User-to-User forum NOT an Adobe Support forum).
    2. During the period that you guys established that a workaround was possible I was in the US on a photo shoot (Grand Teton and Yellowstone NP's). The other hosts may well have been looking into the forum, but they are not all Lightroom savvy, so probably did not realise the significance of your findings. In my case, access to the internet wasn't exactly easy and to be frank I had better things to do than to log on to the U-to-U forums. Likewise, on my return I had much more important matters to deal with than scan the hundreds of dated posts on this and 5 other Adobe forums.
However, I'm now home and have managed to clear most of the work that built up during my absence. So, having read your post and eventually tracked down what it was that you're writing about I have updated my Lightroom Printing tutorial and will post an FAQ linking to it sometime tomorrow. In the meantime, the tutorial can be found at http://www.computer-darkroom.com/lr_13_print/lightroom_print.htm#23%20February%202008

  • Pixma Pro 100 : Unable to print 13x19" from Apple Macbook Pro

I've got the latest drivers and firmware.
Primarily attempting to print from Apple Aperture; A3 and A3 borderless work fine, but neither use the available space on my 13x19" paper.
Any custom settings for 13x19" result in either A) 3x5 print on 13x19 paper, or B) out of paper alert (1006?).
I also tried printing from adobe photoshop elements 6; there was a "super B" paper size here, but again the prints either printed borderless 13x19" but with poor random cropping, or I got the no paper error, depending on settings. Same results when printing from Apple Preview.
So far the largest print size I've gotten successfully is 11.6x16.6" using A3 borderless.
How can I get a 13x19" print or largest size? Thanks

The fix for mine was to go into system preferences, printers & scanners, then remove all references to the Canon printer. This also removed the apple drivers.
Then, download all drivers from Canon's site to your desktop.
Then in the printers & faxes pane, click plus, and select the printer from there- you may need to select the drivers on your desktop. Somehow this forced install of the canon drivers over the apple drivers, which seem to get priority otherwise.
After doing this, the A3+ paper size appeared in my apps as an option for the Pixma pro 100, and I had the utilities tab appear for this printer in the control panel.
I called Canon tech support to figure this out, they were quite helpful.

  • Printing Problem with Adobe Suite

I am using Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium on Mac OS X 10.8.2 and trying to print on the Epson Artisan 1430. For some reason, when I print on a 13x19 sheet of paper and set my printing preferences to print on the 13x19 (Super B) size paper in any Adobe Creative Suite program, the image will print on the 13x19 paper, but only at an 8.5x11 size. The image printed will even be resized as if it were going to be printed on the 13x19, yet still cut off at 8.5x11 size on the 13x19 page. I called Epson and we talked through the problem. The printer will print to the full 13x19 size on any non-Adobe program, but with any Adobe program, it will be cut off. I have uninstalled, and reinstalled the entire Creative Suite and it has fixed nothing. Unfortunately, I have a deadline and I must print larger than an 8.5x11 size, but I do not know what else to do.

I know this is a super late response, but I recently had the same issue and discovered a solution (it worked for me at least). Try resetting your Photoshop user preferences. The easiest way to do this is to hold down Command, Option, Shift (Mac) OR Alt, Ctrl, and Shift keys (PC) while starting up Photoshop. A dialog box will appear asking if you wish to delete the preferences/settings file. This resolved the issue for me and now Photoshop is correctly printing 13x19" images on 13x19" paper!

  • Epson R1900 Print Problem - Image shift/Cropping

When Printing 13x19 files in Photoshop, the image always prints centered in an 8.5 x 11 area at the lower right corner of the page as it comes out of the printer. The image is cropped into this letter sized area at its correct size and is not scaled. My best guess is that the printer is thinning the paper size is set to LETTER, not Super B. I have checked all the settings multiple times but see no place where the paper is not set correctly or that the printer is not set to Epson R1900 (i.e. it is not set to "Any Printer"). I have had this printer for several years (and have been using Macs & Epson printers professionally for 20 years), and it has worked properly in the past with this sized image. I have not needed to print this size image for a while so not sure what might have changed in the mean time.
This ONLY happens in Photoshop (CC and CS5 tested). It will print correct from InDesign and Illustrator, but the color is shifting too much. I have always gotten my best color when printing directly from Photoshop and this particular project requires accurate color.
Happens on 2 different computers (newer iMac and older MacBook Pro) and on different photoshop files. Drivers are currently up to date according to Apple's Software update.
Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated.

This dialog box is definitely shown in the User Guide of the Epson printer????

  • InDesign CS5.5 13x19 on R1800

When printing 13X19 from InDesign CS5.5 on OS X Lion to R1800 with Gutenprint 5.2.3 driver and Printer Settings set to Photo Glossy paper, Super Photo, the output is shrunk to a fraction of that size. To rememdy, checked for driver update, restarted hardware, checked settings, i.e. deselected scale to page. A test page at default setting of 13x19 plain paper does not produce the same unwanted shrinking effect. Suggestions?

Export a PDF and print that.

  • Why does my Epson printer hang while I have mail open?

Today I was printing big prints (13x19") and twice it hung up with the iMac refusing to recognize any input I had (magic mouse or magic trackpad) to try and unfreeze the iMac.  I noticed that the only difference in what I had printed before was that I had Mail open and running.  I had to resort to shutting down the iMac (forced quit by holding the power button for multiple seconds) and restarting to resume iMac operation.  Of course that ruined to sheets of expensive 13x19" glossy photo paper.  Later on I closed Mail and opened iPhoto (alone) and it printed fine.  (1) Why does it do this? and (2) Is there any other way I can interrupt the iMac (rather than forcing it to shut off) so that it will recognize the mouse or trackpad?
    Thanks,
    Tom

I think its a WiFi problem. I have the same intermittent disconnect problem and report with the router channel conflict detected. I found this article helpful. http://www.computerworld.com/article/2476307/mac-os-x/os-x-mavericks--using-appl e-s-hidden-wi-fi-diagnostics-tool.html
I have been able to temporarily fix it by reinstalling the Wi-Fi connection from the setup menu on my printer, (Epson WF 7510). But it sometimes disconnects after I shut it down and turn back on later. I haven't come up with a permanent solution that I know will work, but this article shows how do do wireless diagnostics. I've just started to try to figure it out. It is currently working so the diagnostic tool says everything is okay. The next time I'm unable to print I will run the diagnostics again and hopefully it will come up with a fix. The article suggests changing the channel of your router. I don't feel confident enough to know that I would make the right choice for a different channel. However if I keep running the diagnostic over time I might be able to figure it out.

  • Safari won't let me change printer paper size

I am having a bizarre problem printing USPS labels from Safari. For some reason it shows my paper size as 13x19 in the printer dialog and there is no way I can change this (I tried in the printer driver and through System preferences and the changes would not "take"). I have three HP printers and only one of them can print 13x19 paper. I tried changing the default paper size on all three printer drivers but they all will only show 13x19, so if I try to print a 8x11 document on any of the printers, it won't print scaled normally to 8x11 paper - instead I get large font prints that are cut off. I tried different "scale to fit" settings in the drivers and nothing worked.
Finally, I switched to Firefox and it worked perfectly!
Interestingly, when I try printing a normal webpage from Safari, it WILL print on 8x11, but not a USPS label!
If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.
    Thanks
    Peter

Safari won't let me customize a new computer on the Apple store website.
Try emptying your Safari cache. From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache
If that doesn't help, go to the menu bar again, click Safari > Reset Safari
Select the top 5 boxes, click Reset.
Quit then relaunch Safari, try the Apple Store    http://store.apple.com/us
If you have installed any extensions, back to the menu bar, click Safari > Prefereces then select the Extensions tab. If you have any installed, turn that OFF, quit then relaunch Safari to test the store.
And make sure Java is enabled in Safari > Preferences - Security

  • K8600 13x19 sheet ejection problem

Regularly print full bleed 13x19 posters on my 5-month-old Officejet Pro K8600, using HP Professional Media 8.5 mil matte photo paper.
Everything was fine until 3 days ago: 13x19 sheets now fail to eject completely, specifically the gripper/roller on the far left side of the discharge tray is not releasing the printed sheet.  Subsequent printed sheets feed out below the sheet that does not release, causing the paper to buckle and render the piece unusable.
I am wasting ink and paper when this occurs - can no longer print 13x19s in unattended mode -- it is necessary to babysit an entire run and pull each sheet out of the roller.
In addition, I'm noticing that a 1/10" band at the bottom is not receiving an imprint, so must now trim each sheet to remove the white stripe.
This is not a pleasant or acceptable experience.  Any suggestions with regard to user fixes?

1st problem: the 13x19 sheet did not out, yes I have so many experience with thick paper. I think it's common, because I experience from 1st day I print, If you want it to out, simply insert the telescopic tray inside so the paper weight and earth grafity will pull the paper out.
    2. It's  the printer limitation to handle paper outside to min 5 mm on bottom, well it cannot be change.
    Hope this help

  • Custom Size Paper - Last Resort

I'm using a Mac G4 PowerPC with OS X10.04 with an Epson Stylus Photo 2000P.
I'm trying to use the Page Set-U menu in PhotoShop to print a custom document size 12x12 inches. The printer is capable of printing 13x19 in color. In the Page Set-Up menu I go to custom page size. I set up a new custom size file with the new size thand the margins and name the custom size. It shows up at the left under the customer file name. However, when I go back to Page Set-up and go to Paper size, my new customer size is listed at the bottom of all the Epson established custom-sized paper list, but the file name is in gray, not black, so cannot be selected.
A hint might be that in the user defined area of the custom size window, I cannot get the Epson 2000P printer to show up. The only printer that will show is my Epson 5700i laser printer. The Epson 200P is my default printer in the Printer Setup Utilize window. Of course the 5700i will not print in color nor will it print 12x12. Is there a way I can get my Epson 2000P printer to show up in the user defined area? Maybe that's why my new custom size title does not appear as usable on paper size under the Print Setup.
I talked at length with Epson. After trying all they could, obviously with no success, they said it must be a software issue. I can print all the other various sizes available in the Page listed on the Page Size under the Page Set-Up menu so they show in black, but not the custom size I developed that shows only in gray.
I then called Apple, and was told they no longer support my computer. Thanks a lot Apple. I guess this is now my only option.
Any help would sincerely be appreciated. Thank you very much if you can help me solve this issue.

Hi - I'm not sure which printer you have or which application you're printing from, but your printer likely has a custom paper size setting.  In whatever application you're printing from, go into Print, select your printer and then choose Properties.  Depending on your printer, there will likely be an option for a customer paper size, where you can specify the size.  You might also go into Page Setup in your application and see if there is a customer paper size option in there as well.
    Hope that helps.

  • Best color matching settings for canon pro9500

I tried different settings for printing 13x19 photos. Printer color management, photoshop color management with different color options. Always a difference with preview... Help please. I have no problem when printing with my old ip6700d!

    1. Calibrate (I use ColorVision's Spyder http://aps8.com/spyder.html , but any hardware calibration device will be better than calibration by eye).
    2. Set the Working Space to sRGB.
    3. Set the Color Management Policy for RGB to Convert to Working to be sure you are converting content to sRGB. (2 & 3 addressses pfigen's concern about making sure all images are sRGB.)
    4. Make sure your monitor is set to use the ICC profile generated by the calibration device.
    5. Turn off Proof Colors.
    6. Embed profiles or not, but if you do use the sRGB profile. Whether it gets used or not is another story.
As far as B&W, pfigen suggests Gamma 2.2, which would seem to be right for PC. Mac users might consider Gamma 1.8.
This should work well for most situations, but guaranteed consistency is an impossible task at this point.

  • Printers and snow leopard

i have been using an epson stylus photo 2200 for many years and have been getting decent results printing 13x19 images from Aperture. recently, i finally got an upgrade to the colormunki design software that allowed me to do a good calibration of the printer...finally.
with snow leopard i have lost drivers for the 2200 and compatibility with colormunki. i anticipate resolution on the colormunki part, but am doubtful that epson will produce drivers for this relatively old printer.
so, my question is what printers have you found to work well with Aperture, especially in reproducing the color seen on the screen.
i am partial to epson and on paper, the R2880 looks like it might be a solution. is there experience with Aperture and this printer on the forum?

I also have the same printer and use Colormunki. I solved the problem this way. Whn you install Snow Lepard also install Rosetta, it is on the install disc. Go to Epson and get the previous driver, for 10.4-5.
Select this printer in the print dialog in System. The settings I find work are Paper select, auto ; Color Management- color control and photo realistic.
I get great prints. Hope this helps. By the way I use the icc created by Colormunki for the paper I use.

    Hi to the Mac Folks,
I have 10.6.8 and have installed two new printers HP 8610 and an Epson 7880 and can not find the Page Set-up menu anywhere in the applications I a trying to print from. This is regardless of either printer selected.
I primarily print photos from Photoshop CS5.  The term Page Set-up has gone missing in the file pull down menu. Can't make any choices  There are no page sizes, paper types, appearsto be locked on a 13x19 size paper format. Either being too large or too small.
Saw a 2008 locked issue about this however none of the help fit my situation, options discussed are not available to me.
Preview has no "Page Setup" - or does it?
Does the constant struggle with computer compatability weirdness issues ever end or is it a enslavement scheme?

    Hey,
if you know the name(s) of the root folder(s) you want to access (eg. by making a note on the Windows side) then you can make them appear by just doing Shift-Command-G in Finder ("Go to Folder…"), and entering the full path to the required folders.  You can then navigate all the contents as normal.

  • Using windows 7, how do I get my Officejet Pro K8600 to print to 13x19 paper?

I purchased a laptop with Windows 7. Now I cannot get my Officejet Pro K8600 to print correctly to 13x19 paper. It prints onto 13x19 paper but everything is 8.5 x 11 in size. I click print, click properties, change the paper to Super B 13x19, hit ok, the box shows the 13x19 paper with the images filling the paper, I click ok for it to print and it prints the image 8.5 x 11 in size on the 13x19 paper instead of filling the 13x19 paper. I did not have this trouble (and still don't) with my old laptop with XP. Is it the operating system or is it a wrong setting in properties? I have tried to compare the properties settings in both computers, but I cannot find any differences. I don't think it's the driver....please help!
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    Hello HW,
Try this: go to Devices and Printers and right-click on the Officejet Pro K8600 and click on Printer Properties. Go to the tab called Advanced and click on the button called Print Processor. Select Winprint and click OK. Try another printout and see if it works now. If you still see the same issue see if there's a scaling option on the print dialogue in the application you're printing from.
