Printing A Digital Booklet

I bought the Jonas L.A. soundtrack and it came with a digital booklet. How do I print it so it will fit into a CD case. I've tried everything. By the way I'm a PC so I don't have iPhoto.

Honestly it does not to me either.
You have a history of creating spot color files - but are using a new vendor...what I'm hearing from the vendor doesn't make sense
...do my checks and fixes in Acrobat and send it to the printer, ...
Have you checked the PDF - verified that your Spot colors are Spots, not cmyk builds?
The current printer is having an issue with the files that I'm giving him. He says, that the files contain CMYK profiles, and has to strictly be 2 color process.
Communicate very clearly  - cmyk profiles or cmyk elements?
To my limited knowledge, every file will have a profile - it's a moot element in spot color printing -

  • Print a digital booklet

    I recently purchase an album from the iTunes store that included a digital booklet, which I assume is that same thing that a person would get if they bought the CD from a store.
    I would like to be able to print the booklet sized correctly so it will fit in a CD case. When I view it in Preview and print a page it prints the full size of a 8.5 x 11 in paper. Is there a way to print it so it is the right size to fit a CD case?

    I've got the same question. I bought two albums today and they came with digital booklets. They're nice liner notes, but I wonder why they are not already formatted to be CD-sized (like the "Print CD jewel case insert" feature is).
    I tried guessing a size reduction to 75% but that still wouldn't have turned out right. Does anyone have any success with this?
    Thanks.

  • Printing Digital Booklet

    This seems like a very basic question but I cannot find any references in the forums so here it goes.
    I just purchased an album that came with a "Digital Booklet". I can view this in Adobe Acrobat but I'm wondering what I need to do to actually print this booklet as a CD Jewel Case. I assumed that the Print from iTunes would recognize the booklet and use it but it does not, and simply prints the general jacket from the play list.

    I'm a bit disapointed too with these booklets, as it seems that there is no way to print them and have them fit in a CD jewel case...
    I would have assumed, as you did, that when a digital booklet is available iTunes would have used it as CD cover...

  • Printing Digital Booklet....Please Help!

    Hello All!
    I am having so much trouble printing out the digital booklet that I downloaded with a recent purchase. I can't get it to print out at the same size as regular CD booklets come in. All my copies come out full size. I've tried everything I could think of to reduce the size but can't figure anything out. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any help would be most appreciated! Thanks!
    Mike.

    Hello Kay,
    Yes, I tried opening and printing the booklet with Preview as well as Photoshop Elements 2.0. I could only get the booklet to print full size not at the dimensions that would fit a CD jewel case.

  • HT1391 How can I read and print digital booklets that are downloaded togheter with the recordings I purchased

    How can I read and print digital booklets that are downloaded togheter with the albuns I bought?

    cu is right.
    classloader returns the URL of your resource. You can the jar using something like the following...
    ClassLoader classloader = this.getClassLoader();
    url = classloader.getResource("your_resouces...");
    if(url == null)
    System.out.println("cannot find resource ");
    return null;
    String jar = url.getFile();
    jar = jar.substring(jar.indexOf("/")+1, jar.lastIndexOf("!")).replace('/', '\\');
    obviously, this code snippet works on windows only. Now you have the jar file path. I use Jar file classes to access the jar file. (e.g. you can search for each class files)

  • TS1424 I need help, see there is this Digital Booklet that is supposed to be included with the purchase of an album but i still for some odd reason haven't and can't get it, what is going on?!?!

    Details:
    Album: We Can Make The World Stop (by: The Glitch Mob)
    Songs: I bought all three songs in the album which counts as buying the album yet the Digital Booklet won't download like it says it should due to the album being bought which is what I did.
    Digital Booklet - We Can Make The World Stop - EP
    Question: Can someone please help me get this digital booklet that i should have already had a while ago?

    Thinking back to when I've seen displays of newsprint that's been greatly magnified, being able to see the halftone screen pattern seems important.  It gives the display a look of authenticity.
    You say the library can scan at 600 ppi.  If that's 600 ppi of a greatly reduced image on a piece of microfiche, it may not give you the resolution you're looking for, and it's entirely possible that getting a quality optical print then scanning it would give you better.
    I don't see how you can plan how to proceed in anything like specific detail if you don't have an image that represents what you're really going to be starting with in detail.  Perhaps getting one scan might be a good idea.
    After that, you just need to figure out what ppi your final overall panel design is going to be at, and upsample the newspaper clippings to match, so that they're the size you need them to be.

  • Digital booklet from iTunes causing Preview to crash

    I was conflicted about whether to put this question in the iTunes for Mac or the Mountain Lion community, but, as you can see, I've settled on Mountain Lion because I believe iTunes is not causing the problem.
    I downloaded "Electric Ladyland" from iTunes the other day and received a digital booklet with the album. When I double-clicked the booklet in iTunes, Preview would open up (as it does with any of the other digital booklets I have stored in iTunes) and display the first or the second page of the PDF. After swiping either left or right to view the previous or the next page, though, Preview would completely shut down, necesitating a force quit every time.
    Most concerning to me is the fact that every time I tried opening this PDF in Preview my whole Mac would slow down significantly and, according to iStat Menus and the Activity Monitor, my memory and CPU usage would spike. Prior to clicking the booklet, my Mac would normally be using less than 2 of its 4 GB of memory and the CPU would be almost completely idle, with no individual program using up more than 30% of its processing power at any point in time. While this particular PDF was open in Preview my memory usage would jump to the full 4 GB and Activity Monitor was reporting that Preview was using almost "200%" of my CPU.
    Interestingly enough, I can open this PDF with Adobe Reader and am able to view every page just fine. None of my other digital booklets or other PDFs outside of iTunes cause Preview to crash like this, so I think it must be an issue between this specific file and Preview.
    I tried deleting and re-downloading the file (I had to contact iTunes support so they could re-upload the booklet to my account) and that did nothing; the booklet still caused the same problems. The support staff member I was emailing back and forth with had no suggestions for me. She forwarded me to an AppleCare advisor who also had no idea what the problem might be. (He actually forwarded me back to iTunes support!)
    Anyone else experienced this?

    Please read this whole message before doing anything.
    This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
    Copy the PDF you're having problems with to the Public folder in your home folder.
    Step 1
    The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
    Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. For instructions, launch the System Preferences application, select Help from the menu bar, and enter “Set up guest users” (without the quotes) in the search box. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
    While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
    Test while logged in as Guest. You'll need to navigate in the Finder to the Users folder, then to the home folder of your regular login account, and then to the Public folder, where you'll find the file you copied. Try to open it in Preview. Same problem?
    After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it. You can also delete the copy of the PDF.
    *Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
    Step 2
    The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login.
    Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
    Shut down your computer, wait 30 seconds, and then hold down the shift key while pressing the power button.
    When you see the gray Apple logo, release the shift key.
    If you are prompted to log in, type your password, and then hold down the shift key again as you click Log in.
    Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.  The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
    The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
    *Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode.
    Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
    After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of steps 1 and 2.

  • Digital booklet: PDF, size

    One of my purchased album comes with a digital booklet; it's a PDF file. I would like to print it and put it into a CD case; however, the physical size of the PDF is too large.
    With which tool (WinXP or Linux) could I scale down the pages?
    Thanks!

    Are you printing from Acrobat Reader? Check the print options, it may be fitting the printout to the page size. Turn that off and it may come back down to CD booklet size images.

  • Blank pages & partial pages in digital booklet

    Hello, I cannot view all the pages in the most recent digital booklet I've purchased.
    I changed the settings in Quick Time as suggested, but it didn't help.
    Suggestions please?
    Thank you

    Since this is the InDesign forum you could do a couple of things in InDesign:
    1. Use the Preflight in InDesign to detect blank pages.
    2. Print a PostScript file with the option "Print Blank Pages" unticked, distill that to PDF and do your count on that.
    Or you go to the Acrobat forum and ask there:

    Scripting Acrobat Pro could be an option:

  • HT1349 how do i print the bonus booklets that come with some albums i have purchased

    how do i print the bonus books that come with some albums i purchased?

    These digital booklets are simply PDF files and Adobe makes an app that can open them and print them and it is free to use.

  • IPod Touch and viewing Digital Booklets

    Hello,
    When i sync my touch in my movies list it list the Digital Booklets i have and i check them. When i go to view the books on my touch i can not find them anywhere.
    Am i missing something?
    thanks for your help

    I'm sure it is doable just not directly. The booklet is in Adobe .pdf format isn't it? A quick and dirty method to do this is:
    If you have a windows machine, view each page in full screen mode then hit your "print scrn" key. That will take a screenshot of the booklet page and save it in the clipboard.
    Then open up Microsoft Paint and paste in the screenshot.
    Finally save the image as a jpeg image then load that image into iTunes.
    From there you can just sync up the booklet page onto your iPod and view it in the photos section. Then just repeat for each booklet page.
    If you have a Mac I'm sure there is an equivilant method as well. I'm just not familiar enough with OS X to be comfortable in offering a series of steps to do the same thing. I know the windows solution does work though(tried it myself).

    I tried downloading all songs into itunes, that didnt work. I tried logging out of my account with no avail. I tried seeing if i could go into iTunes again and buy redownload it. But it showes that I have to purchase it again...

  • How do i change the media type on a digital booklet when they option bar is greyed out?

    I downloaded an album a couple days ago which came with a digital booklet. I am trying to put it on my phone but need to change the media type to book to be able to do this. whenever I go to the get info tab, the options tab is completely greyed out and wont let me do anything to it. I have tried selecting read only on the file and it did not work. I have windows 8. If there's is any different way of getting this on my phone, anything would be great!

    The item must not be read only if you want to change it.
    In the new Get Info dialog the Media Kind is in a light grey. Next to that will be the word Music. Hover over it and you should see that it is part of a drop down list control, click and select Book.

  • How can I re-download a digital booklet?

    I know we have the beta of iCloud but they don't list digital booklets for download. I have a booklet that seems to be corrupt and would like to re-download it. Any easy way to do this with out contacting customer service?
    Thanks!

    No answer but I would like to know this too, as i moved my library from a Windows to pc to my iMac and lost some booklets
    looking on iTunes today and although I can re-download any track the booklets do not appear. Bit of an omission I think!

  • Why can't I delete a digital booklet from my iTunes library?

    I recently downloaded the latest version of iTunes, and now the digital booklets from albums I've purchased appear in my library as if they were songs. When I try to delete them, I get a dialogue box that says "Are you sure you want to hide this item in iCloud?" Whether I click yes or no, nothing changes. I have deleted the PDF files from where they were stored on my computer, and still am not able to delete these files from iTunes. I really don't want them there because they take up space on my iPhone when I sync it. Ideas?

    go to accounts, write facebook on search, then select all and delete!
    this is the easiest way!
