Printing a Numbers Spreasheet in a landscape view.

How do you get Numbers to print a spreadsheet in a landscape view? I am a new Mac user so please be gentle.

Welcome. If you haven't already done so, download the Numbers User Guide. Click on the Help Menu for a link. It's an easy read and will answer your basic questions.
Your Sheet will print in whatever orientation you are viewing it in. Select View, Show Layout. Then in the Sheet Inspector, select the horizontal format under Page Layout. Alternately, you can click on the Print View icon at the bottom left of the window and select the horizontal orientation there.
Each sheet can have either orientation.
Hope this solves your printing problem.

The simplest of answers is that Pages does not use landscape pages. Rather, you rotate the content on the page and when printed in "portrait" your results would be a page that once out of the printer is "landscape" in all appearances.

2 per page landscape view?!

i would like to print two pages per sheet (to save the universe) and Preview does not seem to have very good controls for this. does anyone know how to do this?
I select "Print Selected Images", Select 2 "Images per page" - and then what?
Clicking on the two "Orientation" icons sometimes seems to change the orientation and sometimes it doesn't. i.e. it will simply preview an image of either two images side by side in portrait view or it will show one on TOP of the other in landscape view. I want them to be SIDE BY SIDE.
Then the other issue I have with Preview is that even when it shows the two images side by side in portrait view - it will print ONE PER PAGE.
Can I reset Preview prefs somehow?
I have Autorotate off and unchecked.

Below the Orientaion selector click on the Preview box. Select Layout and you will get what (I think) you want.

Glad to hear that you found how to edit page headers and footers in Numbers 3.2. I agree that Help in Numbers 3 is woeful. No searchable PDF to download and use offline. All is online (one page at a time) and we need to know the terms we are looking for before we look.

For printing to paper where layout is important, I use Numbers '09 (Numbers 2.3) with its Print View. But it is orphanware. As the name suggests, there has not been a major overhaul since 2009. With that in mind, it is a useful version to hang onto while we hope and wait (and provide feedback to Apple) for something in future versions of Numbers 3.x to provide better layout capability.
Indeed, each new update of Numbers 3.x has restored more of the old features while adding new features that are enhancements over Numbers '09. Many of the Numbers 3 enhancements reflect long-awaited wishes through this forum, and were passed on by Numbers Feedback to Apple. So it seems that Apple does take heed of feedback.
In the meantime, I enjoy the charm of Numbers '09 whilst exploring the new features of Numbers 3.

Some workarounds are no longer needed, but what amazes me is how many Numbers '09 features (the so-called "lost" features) were not lost; the settings have simply been moved. Moreover, many features such as margin settings carry over with a Numbers '09 document or template into Numbers 3.

How do you print the numbers next to the first column

In Numbers I can't figure out how to print the numbers next to the first column to the left. Say I have 350 people on a list and I want to print the sheet with the numbers next to the people's name, how do I do that. Excel automatically does it. However, I cannot find the option to print and include the numbers from the standard Numbers worksheet. Thanks for your assistance.

In excel it is actually in the page setup dialog. under the "sheet" tab. Numbers doesn't have one table per page (excel is basically one large table of cells). So printing header and column labels doesn't really work in numbers, because those labels don't show up until you click inside the tables. If you notice when you do that they abstruct the view of everything else that might be near the edge of the table.
The other posters response is the best way to do it. you can get column Numbers (but not letters) by using the column command in an extra row at top also. Thre is a way if you really want column letters, but it ain't pretty. Let us know if you want that too.

I have just installed the new iPhone version of Pages and Numbers on my iPhone 4 (4.3.3) and find that neither app will rotate to landscape view while viewing documents. Anyone else have this issue/have a solution?

Very poor on Apple's part. This is not a new product - iWork has been around for years and the iPad version for months - and landscape/portrait is not some minor hidden flaw. Don't they test anything before they release it anymore?
Unfortunately, in spite of their hype, even the iPad version rates a poor second compared to their full desktop/laptop version with many features and fonts missing. You can't really, say, start a project on your laptop, continue on your iPad, and come back to your desktop to finish it off.
Lately, Apple are hitting singles and doubles but always falling short of that home run.

In Pages, there is a Catering Brochure template that might suit your needs. Two pages to print double sided, then fold in half.
Menu > File > New From Template Chooser > Page Layout > Brochures > Catering Brochure.
It is the layout that will help you. Don't be put off by the content, you can delete it and add your own.

Hi,
Yes the field page n of m is used normally for printing page numbers. But it won't display the current page of total pages by itself. You have to set the run time property to n (current page ) and m (Total number of pages). Carefully select the # (current page ) and ## (Total number of pages). Hope this works for you.
My requirement is to have the user control on current page. For Example:
Example for a Invoice with 5 PO items (stands on 2 pages) :
1st page is the letter : no page number
2nd page is the 1st page of the 1st copy of the invoice : we should read u201C1 / 2u201D

Presently i cam getting the current page number for page 4th as 3 / 2 and for 5th page 4 / 2. I could able to control the total number of pages from print program. But when i am printing the second copy (4th and 5th pages), I couldn't able to control the current page number. I need to initialize the Current page count (4th page ) as 1.
I have used the follwing java scripting:
this.rawValue = wv_pages - xfa.layout.page(this)
where wv_pages is total no of pages calculated from print program.
Please help me in this regard with some formcal or java scripting conditions.

Try switching it back from landscape to vertical. Or, go to settings and see if you have any special setting turned on that enable only landscape view. Also, try hooking it up to your computer and charging it to see what happens.

This is only a simple sales receipt application that uses dgv and textboxes to push its data to dataset to the crystal report, a simple one but there are instances that it is very slow.
But I'm having trouble implementing this using SSRS, since I'm only new to this one, wherein I created the report using report wizard, with two button options inside the form for print preview or direct print selection. Actually, it is very easy to implement
with print preview because it uses reportviewer. My problem is that how can I print the report directly without using a reportviewer?
