Printing a pages document

Hey,
I really don't know if this is a problem with Pages
or actually with my HP printer, but for some reason I can not get the
entire document to print.
I have a two fold insert that I made up using Pages, it looks great on the computer, and it even looks fine when I do a preview before I print it,
but when I print it, the very last part of the document doesn't get printed.
I am printing on regular 8 1/2" x 11" paper, and all of my printer settings
seem to be set up correctly, but when it prints, it is only printing about 10" of the final document.
Is there something that I am missing?
Something I could check for
Can somebody please help me with this, cause I have to get this project done.
And I am really geting tired of printing incomplete inserts.

Thanx for the reply,
No ... I don't have comments showing,
and I really don't think that is where the problem lies,
cause when I preview my printed pages they all look OK.
but just for kicks & grins I tried to change my comments
to showing and then back to hidden again,
and I still have the same printing problem.

This is usually a function of the driver you're using. Have you looked in the various PDEs for black and white or grayscale? What kind of printer are you using?

I would like to print my Pages document on Matte Photo Paper which is in the rear feeder of my Canon Pixma MX882 printer. The print function in Pages/Yosemite does not give me that option.The only options are to print on plain paper from the cassette. When I print images from iPhoto, I have more paper options. When I try to convert the doc to a jpeg, with Graphic Converter so I can drop it in iPhoto, the result is very blurred almost unreadable.

Have you gone to Canon's website and downloaded the very latest Printer Driver for your Model?
Also have you looked amongst the paper handling options in your Print dialogue for the rear feeder option.
What is stopping you putting the high quality paper in your regular paper cassette?

Printing multi-page documents

I have a 25-page .psd document that I want to print in CS6 in one hit, but I only seem able to print it by opening each page individually and processing it separately. What can this be done?

Photoshop for whatever reason does not print multi-page documents as you would see in PDFs. Acrobat does not accept psd files for conversion into PDFs,

Its not a one step process but kind of a workaround really -
STEP1 Export all your files as JPEG or PNG.
If there are lot of files you can do it in one go using File > Scripts > Load Files into Stack then create a new PSD with all the files you want exported. Then go File > Scripts > Export Layers to Files and export it as one of the above image formats
STEP 2 As mac user - Go to the folder where all the above files are exported and Cmd Open it all together in "Preview" application, then click Print, but instead of printing save as PDF. There is an option to save as PDF in the popup you get before printing. So JOB DONE
As a PC user - I am not 100% if they have inbuilt utility of saving as PDF while printing but I remember I used a third party software (which was free) I think it was called bullzip PDF print or something like that. And then you can do the same in Windows as well like mac. You can either load all your JPEG or PNG files in windows image viewer or I think Word should definitely work. Like you will need to copy all your images in there and then "Save as PDF"

I am having trouble printing multi-page documents on my Epson printer. 13" Macbook Pro, Adobe InDesign, Epson WF-7520

I have a multi-page document and I want to print some of the pages, double-sided, to check my work. I can't seem to get the interface to recognise that I want to print a specific range of pages, so it will print just one page [no double-sided] or, I assume, it will print the WHOLE LOT [not good at this stage!] HEEEELLLLPPP!!
To explain, the dialogue box which opens when you hit Command+P has an option of 'Pages' or 'Range' but 'Range' gives you only two options: All Pages or A4V. If I click the 'Printer' button I get another dialogue box with more options and from there I can choose to print 'All' or 'Pages' . . . and you change 1 to 1 to say, 1 to 3 for example. There is also an option to print double-sided. But nothing seems to be working and as soon as you finish with this second dialogue box it seems to forget every parameter you choose there. The summary page on the first dialogue box also seems suspiciously sketchy on details of what, exactly, it is about to print. By the way I have installed the latest driver set from Apple for this printer. Is anyone else having the same problem?

I still had the same result, but finally [somehow] I ended up clicking on something which doesn't even look clickable - this is a tiny set of back- and forward arrows in the 'Range' option. Using this feature seems pretty hit-and-miss but I persevered and was able to get it to accept my parameters, i.e. "1 - 2" in range. You have to go into the second ["Printer"] dialogue box each and every time you print, to enable two-sided printing. At last I was able to get it to print pages 1 and 2 of my three-page document. Now maybe I can test-print pages from my 108 page tome! Fingers crossed . . .

Is there any way to print a Pages document that includes the on screen highlights?

For my studies I have to read and then highlight a number of online documents. By mistake I opened one in pages instead of PDF form and highlighted it that way.
Is there any way in which I can print out the document with the on screen highlights included?
I have tried converting the document to a PDF form but once that happens it loses the highlights - I don't really have enough time to go through and re-highlight this in PDF form.

Pages (v5.2.2/v5.5) true highlight capability is not Insert > Highlight — which is actually the Author color that won't export or print. To actually select words and place a true highlight behind them, use the Advanced Options menu, and Character Fill Color. The Advanced Options menu is the gear icon adjacent to the underline button on the Text Font panel.

I want to print edited Pages documents with Comments written in margins, not yellow boxes

Can anyone tell me a way to use Track Changes to edit a Pages document so my comments are printed in margins, not hidden in yellow boxes. I was able to do this on Word documents, but my students are now using Pages. Neither they nor I can see all comments unless we click to open them one at a time in Pages. We would like to see comments in the printed document as well as a line crossing out words I suggest as deletions.

You are using the wrong application.
Use Pages '09. Or continue using Word.

If you have an AirPrint compatible printer, you can use AirPrint which is built into the iOS. If you printer is on this list it will work with AirPrint.

Add a link with command to print some pages document automaticly of a PDF

Hello, I have a PDF document of 200 hundred pages. I would like to create a link which one will print determined pages when I click on.
How can I do this ?
For exemple, I have a link zone and when I clik on this zone I want to print automaticly the pages 3 to 14.

Printing multi page document

Hi all
I have been struggling with the printing in batch for an application I wrote.
The program renders SVGDocuments (Batik) and after I render 1, I send it to the printer. So far so good. In batch this means that it looks like this:
* render
- print
* render
- print
But the problem is that between the rendering and printing, someone else can send a document to the printer and this document will be somewhere between
the papers of the application.
So what I would like to have is that I can send only one printer job that includes all the pages.
I tried it with the java.awt.Book object and I can see 17 pages, but only the first one is printed. Here is the code:

Can someone tell me why only the first page is printed? Because when I debug the "book" object holds 17 documents. But only the first one is printed.

I am having the same problem. I am not able to print my number documents on a PC, my multipage Number documents are shrunk to one page when trying to print as a PDF. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Officejet 4630 won't print multiple page document

Installation was a piece of cake - but I've found that when I try to print more than 2 pages, I receive a printing error. There's no explanation as to what the error might be. I've run the HP doctor and it said that errors were fixed. When I tried to print again, I received the same error. This is very frustrating. Please help. This is a brand new printer.

Hi Although I am not sure what the error is, or what is causing it, I have a few things we can do to try to resolve the issue. First I suggest using the following steps to delete the printer from device and printers, and the driver from the server properties. 1. In the ‘Devices and Printers’ folder2. Choose ‘Print server properties’.Win XP – With no printer selected, click ‘File’ then ‘Server Properties’.Windows Vista – With no printer selected, press ‘Alt’ then click ‘File’ then ‘Server Properties’.Windows 7/8 and 8.1 – Select any printer in the ‘Devices and Printers’ folder and click ‘Print Server properties’ above.3. Click on the ‘Drivers’ tab at the top of ‘Print server properties’ window4. Choose the printer you want to uninstall and click ‘Remove’5. Choose 'Remove driver only'6. The next screen will give a warning, letting you know that deleting the driver package will remove it from the system. Click ‘Yes’ to say that you are sure you want to do this. If documents are stuck in the print spooler, you may see an error, cancel any documents pending in the print queue, or try restarting the print spooler, then try to remove the driver from ‘Print server properties’ again. If it still won’t remove the package, restarting the computer and the printer should resolve this ‘in use’ error and allow the driver to be removed. If the you continue to get an 'in use' message follow the steps in the document here; The Specified Printer Driver is Currently in Use
After the driver is removed, open Start > All Programs > HP folder > Printer folder > HP Setup and Software (or the printer icon).
The Setup and software screen will open and you can click on Connect a new printer.

It's a Finder feature, related to Quick Look. You can hit the space bar in the file list to get a preview.
If that doesn't work, you may have an issue witha preference file or similar. I find rebuilding the launch databse works quite well resilving tis kind of thing, as does trashing Finder preferences

Commercial printing a Pages document

I think Pages is a great piece of software. Creating great looking brochures, newsletters is not a problem. My question is - what file type would a commercial printer require? Is PDF sufficient? Is the export to PDF command the same as creating a PDF through the print dialogue box?

I'm not sure what you mean by '…build from a 4 page…', can you elaborate?
It might be worth asking your customer to try PDF-X. To do this she needs to use the PDF button in her print dialog box and select Save As PDF-X ...
I'm certainly no expert in this area but I understand that PDF-X is an ISO defined subset of the PDF standard specifically designed to eliminate compatibility issues. (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PDF-X). I've also read that some people have had success using this to overcome compatibility issues on pdfs with the online publisher Lulu (although I've not seen much confirmation of the latter).

Acrobat Pro 9.0 printing to Canon ImageRunner 3220 prints only first page of multi-page documents?

We just got the new CS4 and with the Acrobat Pro 9.0 install, we cannot seem to print multi-page documents. Only the first page comes through, and the queue clears as though the document's been fully printed.
We are running Windows XP Pro SP3, and the printer is the Canon ImageRunner irC3220.
I do not want to use the "Print as Image" option, as I don't want to rasterize the file before sending it to the printer. It's an important document and it's imperative that it is printed at high quality.
We had no problems printing with Acrobat 8.
I've seen old posts regarding this issue, but couldn't find anything newer that might have had an updated solution.
