Printing a Panoranic picture in panels

I have a couple of wide panoramic photos that I created using USE 7 which I would like to print out onto 2 or more A4 sheets. To do this I suppose that I will have to slice the panoramic into exactly 2 or 3 pieces since my printer a Cannon 4500 doesn't accept paper larger than A4. How do I do this?

Be aware that there are web-based services that will print your panorama on one sheet of wide paper, and mail it to you.
Office Depot is one of these. They have a web-based service where you can go to their web site (https://www.officedepot.com/printconfigurator/uploadInput.do), and upload your picture. They will print it out, and mail it to you. There would be no stitching together the image, because it would be printed on one continuous sheet of paper.
Because you submit the picture through their web site, it doesn't matter whether you use a Mac or PC.
Their web site advertises that they can print pictures that are up to 60" wide. That's impressive!

Follow these steps until the issue is addressed:

Ensure the printer is properly connected to a USB port on the Mac or AirPort base station / Time Capsule. If the printer is a network-capable printer, make sure that it is properly connected to your home network.

Open the Print & Scan pane or Print & Fax (Snow Leopard) pane in System Preferences.

If the issue still persists, reset the printing system again. Download and install your printer's drivers. Then, add the printer again.

I understand your Laserjet 200 printer is unable to print from office picture manager or photo viewer. Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall these programs to see if this resolves your issue?
Something else you can try is applying an alternate print driver that could be compatible with your programs. Please follow these instructions in this thread.
How is this printer connected? Wireless or USB.

When I print PDF files, the text prints correctly but pictures print as a black spot?

I am using an HP Officejet Pro 8500 A909g, CB023A on Windows XP 32-bit.
I have replaced all my ink cartridges, cleaned and aligned printheads, and printed the print quality diagnostic page and it is great. I have printed documents with pictures in them and they are fine. I have unistalled and reinstalled all of the printer software and latest updates with no problems during installation. The print problem remains. As I just had a thought to print the troublesome PDF file from another computer, same printer, it printed perfectly. I realize this is a software issue on my computer not associated with the printer itself and isolated to PDF files. I am at a loss of what to look for. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Is there a setting in windows or adobe that would cause this kind of printing problem? Thank you!!

What is the resolution of the picture that you are trying to print?
Go to Image>resize>image size, read the resolution in px/in, then report back, please.
Also, are you in a position to try printing with another printer in an attempt to narrow this down?

You could if you want a postcard sized print.
Printers need a lot more "dots" per inch and even a 1920X1080 video doesn't have enough "dots" to make more than a postcard.

Select all of the images you would like to print in the Elements Organizer, then go to File > Print. In Step 4, choose Picture Package from the drop-down menu. In Step 5, click the option to Fill Page with First Photo.

How to improve the printing quality of pictures, printing a database layout

I have a database that contains also pictures in multimedia containers. If I print a layout containing a picture, the quality of the picture is really bad! Pixeled with big pixels.
Is there a possibility to get better prints?
The pictures are JPEGs of reasonable size.
The picture in the layout on the screen looks MUCH better.
Printing to an PDF and viewing this on the screen is equally bad.
Any suggestions?

I'm guessing that your images are JPEGs. AppleWorks changes the resolution of all graphic formats except PICT to 72 dpi. There are a couple of things you can do improve the print quality of images.
1. Turn on Fractional Character widths in Preferences > General > Topic: Text. This is a text setting, but it does improve the print quality of images.
2. Open the image in Preview or GraphicConverter & Save As... a PICT to use in AppleWorks.
PICT is generally the best format to use for inserting or pasting into AppleWorks. I find the resulting graphic can be resized somewhat & the resulting saved AW file is much smaller than if using JPEG or TIFF.

Can you describe, step by step, how you're setting up iPhoto to print in the contact sheet mode?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

Why doesn't photobooth print passport size pictures

The photobooth name and icon both suggest it could be used to print passport size pictures. I don't understand why it doesn't. Or does it and I'm being really stupid. I know the dimensions are different to a passport picture but I've got a pair of scissors to solve that problem. If photobooth did this then it would be a really useful application and mean that I wouldn't have to walk up to the station in the rain everytime I want a passport photo.......... and I could have bulging eyes on my ID.
iphoto won't let you print passportsize pictures either.

Color Laser 2605dn Prints Lines on Pictures

Color Laser 2605dn Prints Lines on Pictures.
Normally all txt prints ok but I cannot get rid of the horizontal and vertical lines ( if the image prints vertical) on all images that it prints.
I rarely use this printer. I have gone under settings/print quality and calibrated but it does not fix the problem.

Looks like a high voltage power supply issue with the black only. Since the laser/scanner on this model uses 1 motor for 2 colors that would eliminate the laser/scanner. Repair by a repair shop may cost more than the printer. Only suggestion I can give to is do a google search for the service manual and download it. Look for instructions for the removal of the high voltage ps and remove it and then put it back in. There is always the possibility one of the connectors has become loose and is causing the issue. HP Photosmart c4450 prints and scans normal 8.5x11 fine, but will not print 4x6 laminate pictures. Using the printer completely unconnected from a pc or network, using a SSD memory card to print off. As the printer begins the print, the printer prints only about 3/4 of the image, and clips the rest leaving it blank. Within the options, you can see the whole picture on the LCD screen, and selecting the 4x6 print mode it still clips the picture.
Not sure exactly whats going on, the printer was doing this fine for about a year, and just randomly started to print with the image cut off at the beging and ending abruptly at the end only printing half-3/4's. Also using the same memory card, have not tried a different card though. Any ideas?

As far as I know, you cannot scan or perform software-based copying over a Bluetooth connection. Printing is doable. Perhaps that is something that is in the pipe for developement.
