Printing a picture package

I created a picture package using letter size paper with four 3 X 5 pictures. When I tried to print it, it printed very small pictures in the center of the paper. I've printed successfully in the past. What could have happened?

I did reset the preferences. I'm wondering if because I chose 3 X 5 in the final printing rather than actual size if that caused the problem? When I did a pdf preview after choosing actual size, it seemed to look normal. I don't remember doing that when I've printed before, but I must have.

  • How to print a picture package in PSE 13 for mac?

I can not print a contact sheet or a picture package in PSE 13 for mac.  How do I enable this function?

I believe you need to be in the Expert mode in the pse 13 editor and then they are listed under the File menu.

  • Trying to print picture package.

I am trying to print a picture package ... once it is ready, I hit print and nothing happens.   I can  print a single pic, and could print a package last week.. I have tried again, and again, and am getting frustrated.

Though I can't tell you how to fix your problem, you can use a work-around to print your picture photo.
You can easily save your picture package as a pdf file which you can print at your convience.
install any print-to-pdf application. The application would register itself as a printer and whenever sent a page to print, would convert and save it as a pdf
prepare your picture package and print it using the print-to-pdf application
load the saved pdf file and print it
Adobe has its own print-to-pdf application too. http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/print-to-pdf.html

  • Photoshop elements 8 printing picture package stops working

When attempting to print a picture package, I get eratic results.  Sometimes when selecting one or two photos it complete printing. I get the message that "elements has stopped working."

    Hi
Being specific ... can you tell me what plateform on you are using PSE and the way you are trying to print.
Or you can do one thing easily : delete preferences of PSE and then try to use it for your purpose.
For deleting prefrences Launch PSE holding alt+shift+ctrl keys on windows or coomand+option+shift key on mac until you get the following message
Delete the settings and please lemme know if the problem exists.
    Cheers,

  • Elements 10- picture package printing menu

When normally printing a single image in Elements 10, I can now use the print flow on having Elements manage the color instead of the printer because my Epson R3000 has paper profiles. However, when attempting to print a picture package the menu choice of - printer or elements manages the color is not available. What's up? What is managing the color output. The "advanced" menu only offers one menu box without any info on the correct setting. Also, not sure how to configure the printer menus, which is a separate issue. Unlike, CS3, I also can't save the package as a photo document. Am I missing something?  Why can't I manage the printing like a regular image file? Thanks

  • Need some Picture Package Help

How do I print a picture package, such as 8 wallets, in CS6?

    http://forums.adobe.com/message/4575734#4575734
If your running on Windows you can install the 64bit and 32 bit CS5 ContactsheetII plug-in into CS6. CS6 ContactsheetII is installed into Adobe's Required folder and will co-exist with CS5 plug-in installed into the Plug-in folder setup for third party plug-ins. In the Photoshop menu File>Automate> you will see two ContactsheeII itemes and one Picture Package items.  Picture Package use to be in ContactSheeII. ContactSheetII was changes in CS6 for thers were errors in its dialog with the preview thumbnail and the size images would be and for some reason Adobe removed Picture Package from ContactSheetII in CS6. If you install the CS5 Plug-ins in CS6 do not forget to copy the Layout Folder into Presets Picture Packages needs that folder contents.
Mac user are out of luck here because CS5 ContactSheetII plug-in is only available in a 32Bit version and there is no Mac CS6 32bit Photoshop.
Mac and PC users can use my Photoshop Photo Collage Toolkit in CS6 as a poorer replacement for Picture Package.  There are two scripts in that package useful for Pictire Packages.
1.) PasteImageRoll for creating single image size picture packages in a single document for pring on roll paper
2.) BatchPicturePackage will create Picture Package Collages. You need to create templates for the Picture Package layouts Images will be rotated for proper orintation.

  • PSE 11 print quality and picture package options

I've been using PSE 5 since 2006, and figured it's time to check out what's new under the sun.  I downloaded the PSE 11 trial version, whose editing function offers slightly better enhanced photos than PSE 5, but seems to fall short in two areas of importance to me:  1)  When using the highest quality print settings, PSE 11 prints photos more quickly, but of lower quality than PSE 5.  2)  PSE 5's "print multiple photos" feature lets me print an 8 X 10 photo with my choice of borders, whereas PSE 11's "picture package" feature seems to allow prints with choice of borders only up to 5 X 7.  Unless I'm doing something wrong, I'll just keep my trusty PSE 5.  Thanks for any assistance you're able to provide.  Aloha, Peter

    Yes I did restart PSE7.
    but that did not help
I also tried to remove all  the present llayout-text files except my own, then there was NOTHING to chose from!
So her is one of the layout text file that I use with PSE2 and it is working, when I select paper size A4
    C  21  21
    A4 (3)  10.5  10.5 cm
    0  0 10.5  10.5
    10.5  5.2  10.5  10.5
    0  10.5  10.5  10.5
That txt file did not show in the dropdown select layout,(setting paper size A4  or Letter)
I tried the following txt file, setting papersize Letter
    with the same result
    I  8.5  11.0
    Letter (3)  10.5x10.5 cm
    0  0  4.1  4.1
    4.1  2.0 4.1  4.1
    0  4.1 4.1  4.1
Since there are no (error) messages I do not understand the criteria to meet for showing this layout in the select dropdown list.

  • Picture package in ps cs6

    pictue

There is a pitfall using smart objects if you create templates and use  replace content to to replace the embedded object to create a picture package for other images.  For it to work well the replacement object need to be the same size as the original object.  All the smart object layers in a picture package share a common single smart object.  Each smart object layer has an associated transform which is not replaced or changed when you replace the embedded smart object content.  If the replacement object size is not the same as the original image the associated transforms may produce something you not expecting....
I posted this a few days ago:
If you are using windows and perpetual CS6 version not the subscription CS6 version you can install the CS5 optional Plug-in and get Picture Package working.    CS6 subscription version removed some Plug-in support that is used by the CS5 Pictture Package plug-in.    Mac users can not use Picture package in any version of CS6. The CS5 Mac picture package plug-in is a 32bit Plug-in and CS6 is 64bit only.
Window and Mac users can use  Contact Sheet II however IMO its nothing like a Picture Package feature.    I have made available a Photo Collage Toolkit for Photoshop.  In it there is a script PasteImageRoll that is more like a Picture Package function for a single tile size Picture Package then Contact Sheet II.  I also modified my Batch collage script to populate a collage template using a single image file for all image location.  So you can Populate a template of your design as a Picture Package.
Paste Image Roll Script and Picture Package Support Documentation.   Photo Collage Toolkit Documentation and Examples
Note: My batch script was written to populate collages its operation will be much slower then Photoshop old Picture Package plug-in. The script will save layered PSD files which can tweak before you print.   Paste Image Roll script requires no template and just creates a new document which it tiles your images into.  It does not save or print it just creates a layer document which can tweak and print.  You can also Flatten and save an image file.

  • Aperture missing "Picture Package"equivalent to photoshop???

Correct me if I am wrong, but it seems that aperture is limited to printing very crude contact sheets that really do not compare to photoshops "picture package".
Basically I tried to print two 8x12s(different images) on a 13x19 photo paper. Ultimately I ended up going into photoshop where I resized the two images to 8x12s and positioned them onto a new 13x19 canvas. This then was a newly created file that I reimported back into aperture. I know this is not really a good work flow, but it seems that aperture has not even thought out a very crude picture package equivalent to photoshop
Also there is no measurement showing inches just pixels. It would be nice if they could show a ruler layout on the image it self similar to photoshop. Resizing in photoshop is much more practicle and straight forward.
I here that lightroom is far better for printing packages also.
Does any one agree about these shortcommings???

This is a glaring omission that has been noted since day 1 of Aperture 1.0, made more frustrating by the very robust printing features available in Lightroom. Surely Apple is aware of the problem, and hopefully they will find a fix in 1.6 or 2.0 or whatever comes next, but it's aggravating to know that a fairly sophisticated app like Aperture requires shareware oddities like ImageBuddy or Portraits-n-Prints in order to get packages working.
Time to fix this one, Apple. (Get the book tool working usefully while you're at it too!)

  • What do you use instead of picture package in photoshop cs6

What can you use instead of picture package in photoshop cs6. You cannot import it anymore to make pictures. I do not want to print one at a time.

I think the Bridge Output Module comes as standard with CS6, but I might be wrong.  Even if you have CC, you can download the Output Module.
    Install Adobe Output Module

  • My new Photoshop CS4 doesn't have 'Picture Package'...?

I go to File > automate and Picture Package is not in the pop up menu. I can't access it from Bridge either Tools > Photoshop...Photoshop help says it is still a feature in CS4. What step am I missing? a bug?

What PDF plug-in are you talking about Dave? The picture package plug-in
that was in Photoshop wasn't a PDF plug-in, it didn't generate PDF files. It
took your picture package back in to Photoshop as a regular Photoshop
document, the same with the contact sheet plug-in. The complaint has nothing
to do with a PDF plug-in, it has to do with Adobe fixing it so that the only
output method (like the slideshow in Lightroom) is the very crAAppy PDF
format. They took away functionality just to push their format, now if their
format was appropriate and was what most people were using when the plug-in
was in Photoshop then that is fine, but I can bet you that most people after
using the plug-in in Photoshop didn't save it as PDF all that often. More
likely it was either printed and then trashed or printed and then saved as a
TIF or PSD or JPG. That is my complaint.
As for the crack post, well I would suggest you pull you head out of yours
and at least pretend that you have a clue about what is being said. Equating
my complaint to crack is just stupid.
As for ImageReady we have known for several versions that ImageReady was at
first a lame duck and then a dead one and that become very clear once Adobe
bought Macromedia. Fireworks is a 1000 times the program ImageReady was.

  • Is the add in "Picture Package" available for Photoshop CC?

In Photoshop CS 5, I had an add-in called "Picture Package"   It was very handy to print multiple prints in various sizes.  Is this available to use in Photoshop CC?

Was removed in cs6. However in CS6 pretetual version Windows the cs5 Plugin will work. Will not work in any scuscription version of Phoroshop.
My Photo Collage Toolkit can do Picture packages with a template or tiles with its Paste Image Roll script
Paste Image Roll script and Picture Package support documentation
    http://www.mouseprints.net/old/dpr/PasteImageRoll.jsx
    Photo Collage Toolkit
Photoshop scripting is powerful and I believe this package demonstrates this A video showing a 5 image collage PSD template  being populates with images:
The package includes four simple rules to follow when making Photo Collage Template PSD files so they will be compatible with my Photoshop scripts.
Size the photo collage templates for the print size you want - width, height and print DPI resolution.
Photo collage templates must have a Photoshop background layer. The contents of this layer can be anything.
Photo collage templates must have alpha channels named "Image 1", "Image 2", ... "Image n".
Photo collage templates layers above the background layers must provide transparent areas to let the images that will be placed below them show through.
There are twelve scripts in this package they provide the following functions:
TestCollageTemplate.jsx - Used to test a Photo Collage Template while you are making it with Photoshop.
CollageTemplateBuilder.jsx - Can build Templates compatible with this toolkit's scripts.
LayerToAlphaChan.jsx - Used to convert a Prototype Image Layer stack into a template document.
InteractivePopulateCollage.jsx - Used to interactively populate Any Photo Collage template. Offers most user control inserting pictures and text.
ReplaceCollageImage.jsx - use to replace a populated collage image Smart Object layer with an other image correctly resized and positioned.
ChangeTextSize.jsx - This script can be used to change Image stamps text size when the size used by the populating did not work well.
PopulateCollageTemplate.jsx - Used to Automatically populate a Photo Collage template and leave the populated copy open in Photoshop.
BatchOneImageCollage.jsx - Used to Automatically Batch Populate Collage templates that only have one image inserted. The Collage or Image may be stamped with text.
BatchMultiImageCollage.jsx - Used to Automatically Batch Populate Any Photo Collage template with images in a source image folder. Easier to use than the interactive script. Saved collages can be tweaked.
BatchPicturePackage.jsx - Used to Automatically Batch Populate Any Photo Collage template with an image in a source image folder
PasteImageRoll.jsx - Paste Images into a document to be print on roll paper.
PCTpreferences.jsx - Edit This File to Customize Collage Populating scripts default setting and add your own Layer styles.
