Printing Album graphics for Jewel case

Hi
First time here. I'm wondering what brand of label is recommended to print the album cover for the jewel case? I tried the Avery 8955 Booklet but it doesn't print to the label guidelines.
I'd need some kind of booklet, 1 label per sheet that prints the cover and the playlist, then it folds in half to fit the slimline case.
Last 2 albums I purchased I wound up printing on plain paper. ugh!

I had this problem too. It has now been fixed in the latest update 11.0.1.12, and works like a charm again !

Can not print song lists for jewel case with windows

I have PC with Windows 7 and have downloaded the latest version of I Tunes and still can not print out a list of songs that will fit into a jewel case. The songs print all over one another in a garbled mess. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I have spoken to and emailed Apple Support but they can not offer assistance if I am not using an Apple device. If I am purchasing music on ITunes it seems appropriate to have access to the same service as those who use MACS. If I can not get this to work properly, I would like suggestions on how else to create my music CD's as easily as I can on ITunes.

It is the same place it has always been: with the playlist open, use the Print command under the File menu.
The new thing is that the Menu bar is hidden by default. So if you don't see the menu bar (File, Edit, View, etc), enable it by holding the CTRL key and pressing B.

My Itunes stopped sending info to printer for jewel case inserts. Why?

My Itunes will not print jewel case labels. The printer works fine for all other applications but Itunes does'nt send the print info to the printer. What can I do? Heeeelllllllp!

hmmm. When I click on the playlist, the option to "Get information" doesn't come up. I selected one of the songs in the playlist, did get information and was able to select one of my photos as the artwork for it. But, when I view the cover, if I do a single cover it selects a different song cover (not sure how it picks the one).
Will I need to delete the artwork from all the songs in the playlist except for the one with my photo in it, to get it to work?

Apple, what about fixing the printing problem? Jewel-case printouts have highly compressed text on the back - for months and months. Come on Apple, be responsible people, fix your problems quickly. No wonder the share price is underperforming. Investors know that your business requires customers (quaint notion, isn't it?) and we customers are disillusioned and are leaving you in droves. Windows Surface and Windows Phone8, Android phones and Pads, there are now a usable alternatives to the Apple Ecosystem. I suspect this post will be short-lived, but at least I've let you know that I'm disillusioned. Are you listening, corporate Apple Inc.? Probably not.

Printing chapter markers for DVD case?

Hey guys,
Unless I just can't find it, is there a way to list all the chapter breaks in a track and print them in a format that would fit nicely in a snapper case or jewel case? Wouldn't this be a great addition to this application?
I transfer people's videos to DVD for a living and need a utility that does this quickly - would anyone know of something for the Mac that can read the chapter breaks from a DVDSP track or can I export a chapter break list maybe??

A year back I looked at how the chapter markers and times could be extracted from a FCP XML file using PHP. An app was developed (not by me, I hasten to add) which did just that, but not with PHP:

This will give you a list of chapters to feed into DVDSP... which ought then to be the same as any list coming out! (Provided you used FCP in the first place, of course).
I don't think it works with DVDSP description files, but you could easily contact Andreas Kiel (the author) and see if that can be added in to future versions.
I've not used the later version of the software, but the alpha and beta stuff looked excellent. There is now a small charge for the product - 45, I believe.

How to print playlist for jewel case?

where do i go in iTunes to print a playlist I've created and burned to a CD? Thanks in advance for any help.

If only a certain track in the playlist contains the photo, select it and then print the cover.
The photo must be the first piece of artwork of the song file if the song contains multiple pictures.
If not, Get Info of the song, select the artwork tab, then select the photo and drag it to the left.

How to insert own "Album Graphics" for movies

Hi,
I have plenty of own movies which I transfered to itunes.
Currently Itunes shows the first frame of the movie as the "movie cover art".
But I would like to insert own pictures as cover art for each movie (like the picture of the CD-album in the music section of Itunes).
I tried with copy-paste (copy a picture and paste it in the lower left corner of the Itunes window, when the desired movie was selected, but in the grid or cover flow view nothing has changed)
Has anybody an idea if it is possible?

I use Apple's Preview to reformat image files. Open the image file using Preview. Then from the Menu Bar click File/Save As In the dialog box where it says: Format Click either JPG or PNG. Then copy and paste that into your iTunes/Get Info/Artwork window. The only problem with Preview is that it can't resize images and for iTunes artwork they need to be 300 x 300 pixels. If you have iPhoto, part of the iLife suite of software, you can resize the image in that first.

OK, this should sort you out...
Move the following files and folders from /Volumes/Backup/iTunes up to /Volumes/Backup/
Album Artwork (folder)
iTunes Library.itl
iTunes Library Extras.itdb
iTunes Library Genius.itdb
iTunes Library.xml
sentinel (hidden)
Launch iTunes. It should warn that the library is missing. Browse to the file /Volumes/Backup/iTunes Library.itl and open it.
Go to iTunes > Preferences > Advanced and change the media folder location to /Volumes/Backup/Music. Let iTunes consolidate files if it asks, if not use File > Library > Organize Library... Tick Consolidate files and click OK.
Close iTunes. Rename /Volumes/Backup/Music as /Volumes/Backup/iTunes Media. Start iTunes.
Go to iTunes > Preferences > Advanced, check that the media folder location now reads /Volumes/Backup/iTunes Media. If necessary, change and then close and reopen iTunes.
Go to File > Library Organize Library... and, if not greyed out, tick Rearrange files in the folder iTunes Media, then click OK.
Delete /Volumes/Backup/iTunes/iTunes Media which now contains redundant copies.
Move the following files and folders from /Volumes/Backup/ into /Volumes/Backup/iTunes

iTunes Library.itl
iTunes Library Extras.itdb

Each time you change something and start iTunes just check that a track will play. If not, close iTunes and undo your last action.
That should be it. You can clone this iTunes folder to any other drive and the clone is a functioning copy of your library.

I cannot print the jewel case artwork?

I recently downloaded 11.0.2 version of iTunes, and now I can not print cd artwork for jewel cases. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone know how to solve it? I have a Lexmark printer and it works outside of iTunes.

Is there plug-in for printing better jewel case, more options, fonts, color

Is there a plug in or some way to make the printing options for jewel cases better? I only have 4 options when I go to print, and I'd like to have more control over font size (because it always cuts stuff off) and color and designs. Any ideas? Thanks!

There is a shareware program CD Jacquet that works pretty well for me. See http://www. cdjacquet.com. It is from France, but here is an English version for those who do not parle. Registration is about 10 Euro.

Jewel case inserts are not printing full size

Hi all,
This might be a more appropriate topic to one of the general forums, but I thought I'd try here first...
I have a color printer (Lexmark z23) hooked up to an old PC, and wanted to print out a color copy of a jewel case insert. (I only have a b/w laser printer hooked up to the Mac.) So I used the print command in iTunes but saved it to PDF instead of printing. I then emailed the file to myself to get it to the PC... but when I printed the PDF, the jewel case insert was "shrunk" slightly. It's not the right size for a jewel case anymore. I even tried "printing" (to PDF) on the Mac at 105%, but then it gets cut off at the edge of the page.
Is this a printer problem or an iTunes problem? Or a problem caused by the backasswards way I have to print the things? I really don't want to have to buy another program just to print darn jewel case inserts. I don't need anything fancy, and the iTunes printing options would suit my needs just fine.
Any help much appreciated!

Yes, Apple have done it YET AGAIN. Stuffed up the printing like they did in 11.0 and recified in 11.1. It is the coding error they had before, and fixed but now must have put the old coding back. Great customer service yet again (NOT!) - clearly programmed by a genius???!!

Cannot print cd jewel case insert

I have two Epson printers connected to my Windows 7 (64-bit) run Dell computer (XPS 8100). The printers I am using are the Workforce 845 and the Xpression XP-620 (which allows me to print right onto a special CD). This is a new development that occurred since I upgraded to iTunes 12.1.1.4.
I am trying to print a CD jewel case insert for any playlist and as soon as I click on OK -- after I have set up all the desired options (for example, Print High Quality on Glossy Premium Photo Paper) the application freezes. I hear a beep and then nothing happens. I can't even close down iTunes without the help of the Task Manager to end the program. Or I have to stop the iTunes process.
The only way I can print the jewel case insert is to print to Microsoft XPS Document Writer and then print it out from there: it prints out the cd jewel case insert, including the guide marks for cutting out the insert.
I don't know if this is an iTunes/Apple issue or an Epson issue. Epson claims it's an Apple issue.
Has anyone else experienced this issue perhaps with other printers?
By the way, it seems now than I can print nothing at all, not even a list of the songs in a playlist.

I'm having the same issue - when I try to change any print options iTunes freezes and I have to end the process in Task Manager... I was trying to turn off duplex printing and the printer option screen wouldn't take any input. I changed the default printer properties to turn off duplex; iTunes did not reflect the updated preferences. It looks like there is an unknown issue with the printer setup module - guess that doesn't get much use anymore or Q/A should have picked up the issue...

Creating a jewel case

I would like to print a slim CD jewel case cover from Aperture. I exported a bunch of versions as jpeg to a CD and would like give it a nice cover. Is there a way to do this? Is there a plugin available?

In case I wasn't clear, you need to set up a single page with enough image boxes to show all the images on that page.
As you're only going to be printing that page, why does it matter what's showing on the cover?

That's nice that they are recognizing that they need to fix that again, but that's not the only problem with this version, I just found out. After updating to 11.0, it changed my registry files, so that now my computer doesn't recognize my DVD players/writers. Nice, huh? I spent a day copying my iTunes library to an external hard drive, then uninstalled the new version of iTunes. Then I installed the past version 10.7. Then I see where the backed up library won't work with the older version. GREAT! *** Apple? I just spent another day trying to re-install the backup library only to find it won't work. When are you going to fix all the bugs, BEFORE you release it to the millions of us out here who like the product, but can't rely on it to work with our windows systems with every upgrade? I guess I'll start buying all my albums from another download site from now on. I can't trust Apple anymore.
