Printing an Image to Multiple sheets of paper...

\/\/TF, Apple?
Whenever I choose the scale of the image to be 100% in the print options, instead of adding pages, to print the entire image, it decides to only print one page. Now, the little preview thing doesn't even acknowledge that there need to be multiple pages. Just a little 1 of 1 at the bottom when the image is clearly cut off. My image should fit on 4 pages...
How do i fix this?

You need an application, such as GraphicConverter, that can do this for you.

• Printing Questions - "Poster" - One image on multiple sheet of paper (to create an enlargement)

Hello,
Tried to find this in the archives - apologies if this has already been answered. Kindly reply with that link and I won't ask you to chew your cabbage twice...
On my older PC, I used to be able to print an image in "poster" mode, which essentially let me print and enlarge an image by printing it across multiple pages (e.g. 4, 6, 9 pages.) Since I'm a painter, this was an easy way for me to print out an image - and enlarge it - from which I could tape the pages together to create the enlargement. I then could use that rough poster-enlargement-on-multiple-sheets-of-paper to trace on to my canvas. (And my photographer friends have already pointed out the ease of which to actually print poster size images, but I don't need that expense or hassle for my purposes. I basically want an enlargement to trace onto a larger size canvas to paint on.)
Since I just got a new Mac, I've downloaded PSE9 Mac trial, but can't for the life of me figure out how to replicate what I used to do on my PC, granted with an older version of PSE.
Hoping this makes sense - and hoping against hope that someone can nudge me in the right direction...
Thanks!
Greg
BTW - IF this does make sense, AND I can do on the Mac or the newer version of PSE - anybody got an idea for a workaround? (Short of buying PS CS5...?)

Juergen,
Thanks so much! Of course you're right - and this does the job perfectly! Thank you so much for the prompt replay, explained clearly, and very helpful! You've really helped me move onto items which I've really wanted to do!
Very gratefully,
Greg

• How do I get AI to print a large image across multiple sheets of paper?

I'm pretty innexperienced with AI newer than a decade ago.  Anticipating that the software would be able to print Artboards as sheets, I created my image to cover more than one artboard.
I've read various related help topics and I still can't get one image to print over multiple sheets without space between: i.e. borderless.
I begin by choosing a 8.5 x 11 borderless in media but it still prints with a border even with "Don't scale" or "Fit to Page" turned on.
I tried tiling with some trepidation because it requires "Ignore Artboards" to be on and wants to reorient the paper the other way if on auto-rotate.  If I specifically specify landscape orientation that seems to fix the problem except for one thing: it still prints with borders! If I tile "Imageable Areas" which seems silly since the printer is perfectly capable of printing borderless, it will have to scale the image down a bit, which I don't want.
There are settings for "bleed" and "overlap" but those don't seem to be what I'm looking for and I don't need to waste more ink.

Try using the document setup from the file menu. You can set up the artboards to any size you want and cal include a negative gutter which will meant that with proper spacing you can get the file to print with the needed overlap and not have to use the borderless setting. Most borderless printers actually expand the print 1 or 2 percent to make sure that it goes beyond the paper. You might not want to do that.

• How to print large jpeg image on multiple sheets of paper?

     I have aa Photosmart 8250 and I need to print a large jpeg photo of a wiring harness onto multiple sheets of letter size paper for clarity sake. I need the large image printed os say 8 sheets of paper in landscape mode so when you combine the sheets you have a large and accurate image. Can this be done under windows 7 64 bit? I seem to recall under XP with the HP software that you could do this, I need to do this now, under windows 7 64 bit if possible. Thanks in advance.

You can use an alternate driver with the features you want.  Download the Officejet 8500 driver from HP here.  When the installer prompts you to connect the printer select the checkbox for unable to select the device.  After the driver has been installed click Start, Devices and Printers, right click on your Photosmart 8250 and select Printer Properties, Ports and find which port the 8250 is using.  Note this for later.  Next cancel this and click Add a Printer.  Select the same port as you found previously for the Photosmart 8250, Next, then choose HP and the HP Officejet Pro 8500.  Print a test page when you are done to verify the printer is working properly with the new driver.  You can then print to this instance of printer and select Poster Printing in the main page from 2x2 sheets up to 5x5 sheets.

• Printing Multiple images on one sheet of paper ( Printer Package)

I want to print multiple different images on one sheet of paper using PhotoShop 6 Printer Package, (operating system windows7 h/p)  I have figured out how to get multiple images of the same image on one sheet, but not two different images.
I seen these instructions on the web and can do 1.2.3....4.  has me lost.  I think this may work for me, unless there is another method that is easier.
Important: Mac OS X users much first apply an update to Photoshop before attempting to customize the Picture Package layouts. Information and and a download link can be found at http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/ (Thank you Matt Jones for this tip!)
Copy the next five lines and paste them into a text editor, like NotePad or SimpleText:
I 8 10
Letter (3) 4x6
0 0 6 4
0 4 4 6
4 4 4 6
Name this file FourBySixes.txt
Copy the file to your Adobe\Photoshop X.0\Presets\Layouts folder where X represents your version of Photoshop.
Open Photoshop and try it!
I copyed  #3 and save to my documents, but I can't figure out how to do #4, or where the Adobe X.0\ Presets\Layout folder is at, if you could dumb this down for me I would be very grateful.
thanks

I can only guess that Photoshop 6 under Win7 would have the layouts under Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop 6\Presets or thereabouts.  This is the Photoshop Elements forum,  you may want to try the full Photoshop forum: http://forums.adobe.com/community/photoshop/photoshop_windows

• How to Print Large PDF on multiple sheets

I want to print a file 41" x 55" on multiple sheets of paper, how do i accomplish this? I have tried and i only get one page with only one small section of my painting/drawing. Need help!

Can your printer driver tile pages?
I can suggest that you place divide (slice) the file and place each component on a page in a page layout document (InDesign, XPress).

• Photosmart 8150 Picking Up Multiple Sheets Of Paper

When printing, my printer makes a 'chunk' noise, then picks up multiple sheets of paper.  It was fine until a few days ago.  I haven't done anything to it, nor have there been any paper jams, etc.  I don't know if the noise and multiple paper pick up are related, but they started at the same time.  Any suggestions?

I have this problem, too.
When I try to print photos, it picks up 2 sheets and partially prints on both.
Then I have a piece of regular paper AND a piece of photo paper ruined.

• Print different images on one sheet

I would like to be able to print 3 different pictures on a 10x14 sheet of paper. I'd like to do one 8x10 and to 4x6 photos, but I'd like each of them to be a different photo. Is there a way to do this?
Thanks,
Andrew

Choose Custom Package from Print Layout panel on top right corner of Print module. This will allow to layout multiple cells into which you can drag your images.

• Printing 12 pictures on 1 sheet of paper

Hello,
I am trying to print a contact sheet in iPhoto version 6.0.6. I want 12 contacts on 1 sheet of paper. When I select the 12 photos, and tell it to print, the photos stay tiny. (It is not resizing them to fill the entire sheet of paper.).
Is there a way if I select 12 pictures to have them all resize to fill up an 8.5"X11" sheet of paper?
Thank you!!!!

You can't. It takes those 6 photos and puts the 3 across (to get all on the page at the largest size) and scales them accordingly. If you want them larger you can't get them all on one page. Physically it can't be done and keep the same size ratio for the photos.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

• Print PictureBox image to fit on A4 paper?

hello, i'm working on a small project using c# windows forms, in my project i have a form with two buttons and a picturebox the first button is for scan an image from the scanner using WIA program and display it on a picturebox the another button is form

please? and this is the last code that i used         private void print_bt_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
                try
                    string p_height = "1100";// height of A4 paper size
                    double Height = Convert.ToDouble(p_height);
                    double width = 0;
                    double aspectRatio = 0;
                    aspectRatio = (double)PictureBox1.Image.Width / (double)PictureBox1.Image.Height;
                    width = Height * aspectRatio;
                        int wi = 0;
                        wi = Convert.ToInt32(width);
                        int hi = 0;
                        hi = Convert.ToInt32(Height);
                        Bitmap New_Bitmap = new Bitmap(PictureBox1.Image, wi, hi);
                        PictureBox1.Image = New_Bitmap;
                    if (myPrinDialog.ShowDialog() == DialogResult.OK)
                        prntdoc.DefaultPageSettings.PaperSize = new PaperSize("A4", 827, 1169);
                        prntdoc.DefaultPageSettings.Margins = new Margins(0, 0, 0, 0);
                        prntdoc.Print();
                catch (Exception ex)
                    MessageBox.Show("error" + ex.Message);
            private void prntdoc_PrintPage1(object sender, PrintPageEventArgs e)
                e.PageSettings.Margins = new Margins(0, 0, 0, 0);
                e.Graphics.DrawImage(PictureBox1.Image,0, 0);
            }

Hi
hunar abubakir,
Could you show me your screen capture on your side? It could be better to help us understand your scenario more clearly.
Now based on your code, What I first think of in my mind is that I doubt the width is more than 827. So please try to debug your code to see whether the width size
is appropriate.
By the way, Are you sure the A4 size is (827, 1169)?
If your picture size is ok, another possibility is the setting of printer.  Using
Margins(0, 0, 0, 0) to set the border. But still will meet result in the edge getting cut off in the printer.
Some similar scenario like yours
Margin Bounds Wider & Taller In PrintDocument.Print() Than In PrintPreviewDialog.ShowDialog()
Here is a way to print Borderless on your printer, It is Inkjet Printer. My suggestion is you could ask your IT department for better help.

• PRINT ENLAGED IMAGE ACROSS MULTIPLE PAGES

I have a scanned image that I want to print at 4 times its original size across multiple pages. Is there any known way to do this?

Thanks for the info, guys.
I don't have InDesign installed. I'll consider installing it, but it's sad that we have to install an entire app to get functionality for Adobe graphics programs that even browsers offer routinely. Jeez, Firefox spans pages automatically.
If you have a graphic larger than the page and you don't opt to resize it, Photoshop should offer to clip the overflow or print multiple pages. And ideally, to print multiple pages with an optional overlap.
I would have thought this was in version 1. But then again, Photoshop didn't have a thumbnail browser until what, version 7?

• How do you print one large image onto multiple smaller sheets?

For example, I want to print one 17x22-inch image onto 2, 8.5x11-inch sheets.

I think you have your calculations wrong. It would take four sheets of paper to have the same size image because you have to double in both directions. I think printing an image on multiple pages is a function of the printer. If your printer has that capability then the options will be in the printer driver. Otherwise, I guess you could try to create virtual copies and crop each one individually and print them and hope they match up.
My printer does not have that capability, so I'm not familiar with how it would work. But it might be necessary to print outside of Lightroom in order to me that feature function properly. If it sounds like I don't know what I'm talking about, that's probably because I don't, really.

• Print image 10"x 18" on two sheets of paper

Re HP DeskJet 5150
Is there a way to print an image that's 10"x 18" on two letter size sheets of paper?  That is, print part of the image on one sheet and the rest of the image on the second sheet (not banner paper).  I've tried using the Banner printer setting, but it only prints part of the image on one sheet of paper.
