Printing blank pages (that aren't actually blank) problem.

I'm having a weird problem with an InCopy file. I'm using Windows XP Home Edition, Version 2002, Service Pack 2 and InCopy CS3 5.0.3 (and InDesign CS3 5.0.3, although that's not giving me any problems).
I created a series of files for a book in InCopy; each file is a single story. These files are then linked to InDesign layout files (it made sense to the actual content in InCopy, because each of these files will be formatted four separate ways for different book layouts, and I will be updating some of the information quite frequently).
I printed out one file in InCopy to proofread it. As I was looking through, I noticed that certain pages didn't print. When I went back and tried to print them individually, an error popped up telling me that the selected pages were blank, and to select the "print blank pages" option from the print dialog box...except that option doesn't come up anywhere in the dialog box, or under any setting that I can find. This error makes no sense in the first place, as far as I can tell, since if the text displays in layout view, and in preview mode, shouldn't it not be considered blank? Trying to print the pages on a spread with the other pages that printed fine in the first place doesn't change a thing, either. The page that worked initially prints, the one that InCopy claims is blank doesn't.
I tried restarting. I tried copying the offending text into a blank document--which works, if I set the paragraph styles back to basic paragraph (I tried reimporting the paragraph style from InDesign and applying it, and the error came back). I checked to make sure the text wasn't somehow on another, non-printing layer. I checked to make sure that all of the paragraph and character styles were the same as in the printing pages. I tried trashing InCopy preferences. Oddly enough, the InDesign file, with the linked text from this InCopy document, prints just fine, without me checking the "print blank pages" box.
This is driving me crazy. I've only been using InDesign since last winter, and I've only been using InCopy for a few months, so I'm certainly no expert. Am I missing something painfully obvious, or is this a bug, or what?

Could you print a extended self test report from your printer to verify if you're receiving any color on this page. Please let me know on this post: (Source)
Make sure you have plain white, letter-size paper loaded in the input tray.
Press and hold the Power button ( ) and the Cancel button ( ) for 10 seconds. The extended self-test report prints.
If this page comes out blank, then I would suggest cleaning the cartridges which is indicated from this document. If this page comes out with all colors, then I need to find out your operating system on your computer? Windows or Mac?

I am creating a document where each page has a full size (8.5x11) image that is set to the background. I then have text over the background image. My problem is that when I make the background image and insert another page, I get a blank page that I cannot get rid of. I have made sure that the full size image is not going over the border but it is still creating an invisable character that is a blue line with an icon at the end.
How can I get rid of this line??
To insert the large inage, I am creating a square shape and extending it to the edge of the document. I am then filling that shape with an image.

Nevermind! I found the answer!! I had to un-check Object To Wrap in the Inspector.

Look thru your add-ons list and make sure you know what each one is

Do you have that problem when running in the Firefox SafeMode?<br/> ''A troubleshooting mode.''<br />

How to remove a blank page that won't leave?

I have a document, about 75 pages, single sided, that has a blank page in the middle. No matter how many times I try to delete it, it comes right back. I have made sure the there is not a new section starting at that point, and cannot see any reason why it persists. Anyone have an idea?

If you show the non-printing characters as I mentioned earlier (and you might want to also show text threads -- View > Extras > Show Text threads and select a frame) you'll see that page 37 is threaded into the flow, and the frame contains a page-break character. That's probably left over from some previous methos of controlling that the next paragraph start on a new page, which for reasons that should be fairly obvious now is better handled by applying a keep option to that paragraph.
Delete the break and the text will flow back into that frame, leaving a blank at the end of the file which you may delete.

What is the "about:blank" page that shows up?

I don't know if it is technically called a 'redirect' or something about page loading - but I get to an 'about:blank; in the address bar that is...well, a blank page w/no URL but 'about:blank.' What is this? friend or foe? fixes for it?

When within a wedsite, when prompted to access info a blank page that saya"Search Bookmarks and History" pops up denying me access, how do I fix this?

Example: when in my on line banking site I want to access older statements I press the prompt and a full blank page stating "search Bookmarks and History" pop up and I cannot access what I requested.
This happens on many sites, I do believe it may be something I accidentally changed.
How do I reset the program to correct this problem?
And if I just have to reload the program itself how do I insure my bookmarks will not be deleted?

If links are JavaScript type of links (onclick or href="javascript:")then you have to left-click such a link.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Is there a way to open Firefox and have your persona the enitre background when your home is set to a blank page instead of just a blank white page

The background normally as you know on a blank page is white and your persona is visible only at the top section of the window; im curious to know if you can change this to where your persona is visible on the entire window instead of just the top section.

Personas seems to me to be a let down. What good is a thin strip of picture at the top of the page? Disappointing.

Print all pages that have highlights

My apologies if this is apparent. I've searched and searched. Running Acrobat X Pro . Have 1150 page pdf. Want to search for and highlight several different words and phrases -- then print ONLY the pages that have a highlighted word or phrase. Tried to figure out how to use bookmarks to do this -- or something. Seems it's a common need. Is it possible -- without scripting something (which I don't have time to learn how to do for this project). Thanks.

Thanks very much. Worked great. A couple of comments for others interested in doing the same:
1. The 'result' file prints with comments -- either on the same page or a separate page. I chose separate page and then 'printed' to a separate pdf only odd pages -- thereby eliminating the comment pages.
2. I doubt many people are going to be working with a 1600 page document. I ran 3 or 4 test runs with different options so it took a while. If I need to do it in the future, I'll take a sample page set (and sample search words) and run through different iterations to determine what I want as a final product -- then run the process on the full file.
This is not something that I will need often. If I did, I would spend more time tweaking it. As Sara noted, there's a bit of variation between IX (that the referenced article is about) and X Pro which I use. All-in-all, a clever work-around.

Print only pages that are checked on page one??? Hidden is possible?

Please help. I know a little about java and acrobat but not enough to do everything I want.
I am making a form that has many pages but not all the pages apply to every event. So what I want to do is put a number of check boxes near the top of the form. When I print I only want the pages that are represented by the checked boxes to print. Even better, I would like those pages not visible at all just print. For example: Page one is a form that one would fill out: name, address, phone number, etc. Near the bottom that person would check all that apply: page A, page B, etc. That’s all he would see but when printed, it prints out the form and any of the pages that are checked.
Am I asking too much?

It's possible to use a script to print only certain pages, but any contiguous page ranges have to be sent as a single print job. For example, to print pages 1-5, 10-20, and the single page 50, you would have to issue 3 separate print statements.
It's possible to have non-visible pages (templates), but it's not possible to print them until they are displayed. Since Reader 11 now supports templates, it would be possible to display the selected pages in the order that you want, which would presumably be a single continous range of pages, which would then require just a single print statement, as opposed to multiple ones as described above.

Jump menu creates blank page that is a specific size

We had a lovely opening, largely blank page that had the little fox logo and above it, a search block, I want it back.

I called our ISP (Exede/WildBlue) about problems with connections and speed. My wife tells me I should have expected this, but their "help" - a woman with an accent that was decidedly Indian - told me it was because of Firefox. I followed her directions, and now I have the same problems with connections and speed, but my start page is gone. It was largely a white page, with a search block in the center and the little fox/world logo below it. There was a bar across the top that had a pull down for accessing certain (I guess frequently-used) sites. That's still there, but the search block no longer offers what I had typed in previously.
I am hating this "help" person. I am pining away for my old start page. What do I do?

You are a god. I was wrong about the positioning of the logo. It's actually above the search block.
I didn't mean to imply that I have any particularly bigotry-based dislike for Indians. I have a problem with thick accents and when coupled with my virtually complete computer illiteracy, it's a rough road.
