Printing borderless prints from 2540 all i one

is it possible with a 2540 printer to print colour borderless prints? I have HP original 6x4ins Premium plus paper borderless and can print ok. But I get a 15mm gap at the end of a landscape print and at the lower edge of a portrait print.
I have, as far as I can see, set all settings ok.
Any suggestions/answers that will explain how, if it is possible, I can lose the 15mm from my prints will be very helpful.

I afraid the Deskjet 2540 does not support Borderless Printing as listed within its specifications below:

The minimum bottom margins for the product are 15mm as you may find the Print Margins listed within the Paper-handling specifications below:

Deskjet 2540 all in one printer - does the scanning work with Mac OS Yosemite 10.10.1 ?

I was trying to scan a document using this new printer and my Mac OS Yosemite 10.10.1 and I cannot even find the page that allows me to scan since now it is all through the computer. Is this printer compatible with this operating system? and if so, what can I do to see the page where the file actually shows up to scan?

Mac os 10.7.5 HP Deskjet 2540 All-in-One Printer

Hello, I've just bought a HP printer, but i can't connect the wirelles with my mac. Is a HP deskjet 2540 All-in-One Printer, and the mac os x opperating system is 10.7.5 Lion. Is there a way to connect them or not?

HP Printer Assistant (3510e All-In-One) Display No Maintenance Option

Hello.
I have a problem with my HP printer (a little over a year old - expected to work well)
Desktop PC: HP Pavillion HPE310t 64-bit (OS: Windows 7 Professional)
Printer: HP 3510e All-In-One (Wirelessly Connected & Confirmed by the "Green -Colored Check Mark")
Problem:
Expected: HP Printer Icon which, upon being clicked on it, displays a message "Retrieving information from the device" before displaying the HP printer assistant where it displays eight options including "maintain your printer".
Current Condition: only displays "Printer Setup & Software" which is part of the printer setup process. Because of this, there is no way to access the maintenance option as I am in need now.
Yes, I tried to reinstall the printer software, after completely removing all the existing files, using the software CD that came with the printer - no avail. Repeated the process twice to see the same result.
What is the problem and how can it be fixed?
I would greatly appreciate to have your help.

Computer is unable to communicate with printer Officejet J4680c All in One using wireless setting.

I received a message while I reinstalling software and driver to change from usb conection to wireless conection: Your laptop is unable to communicate with your printer (Officejet J4680c All in One. This may be caused by firewall software. If you are using firewall software, verify that UDP port is unblocked for both inbound and outbound trafic. But I don't know how to verify that option in my computer. While I reinstalled software I turn off firewall software in my computer. Can some one help me to resolve this issue? Thanks.

Make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.

3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
Damaged preference files can cause a varitety of problems which you wouldn't think it could. Deleting and regenerating the pref file is one of the basic fixes to try.

Printing with HP all-in-one connected to Airport Extreme with USB

We have an HP Photosmart 2610 all-in-one, an AirPort Extreme base station, and a G-5 MacIntosh running OS 10.4.8. We can print when the all-in-one unit is connected directly to the Mac with USB cable, however, we are unable to print when the USB cable is connected to the base station. What can you suggest?

Which driver are you using?
According to HP must use drivers 6.3.4 or 7.0

Printing issue wirlesse printing on c5100 all in one

Hello
I have issues printing over my wirless network using a mac and printing on C5100 all in one. When the printer is running and I start up my mac (running 10.8.3) I can print the windows documents. However if the printer is switched on after the mac is switched on it can not find the printer.
I reinstalled the all the drivers on the mac and set a fixrd ip adress for the printer but both doesnt work. same issue with a second mac laptop also running 10.8.3
Anybody an idea what this could be?

I am thinking the router does not support Bonjour (otherwise known as mDNS). Macs need this service to be able to find the printer.
Get into the router settings and look for Bonjour or mDNS and make sure it is enabled. Also, make sure the multicasting is enabled in the router.

I have a gateway notebook with no cd/dvd capabilites. I tried to download the drivers from your hp.com/ePrint/DJ2540 but seem to get nowhere. It appears to download and gets to #2 then stopsl - and I can't print. Where do I access the drivers for this priter?

I understand you are unable to download the drivers for your Deskjet 2540 as the installation stalls on you. I am going to post you a link to the drivers and software download page. You will need to select your operating system and then download the driver from there.

Copies from my all-in-one are pages of solid black streaks

The copies from my all-in-one are completely streaked with black ink. I have attempted all the trouble shooting suggestions with no success.
Is there something else I should be aware about?

Connecting hp deskjet 2540 all in one

How do I connect my go desckjet 2540 all in one to my iPad and iphone?

Welcome to the HP Forums. I would be happy to help you get your Deskjet 2540 onto your network. I use this method for iPads, iPhones and other devices that do not have software.
Restore the network defaults on the printer by pushing the wireless button, going to settings, and then restore defaults. The wireless button should then start flashing, this means it is now in autowireless mode.
Connect your iPad to the network that the printer is broadcasting. It is usually HP-setup-2540 and then part of the MAC address (printers hardware address). The wireless light will still be flashing on the printer at this point, this is normal since this is not an actual adhoc connection.
Open an internet browser and load up the Embedded Web Server (EWS) by entering the IP address into the address bar. The default IP for autowireless is 192.168.223.1.
Go to the network tab along the top of the EWS.
Click on Wireless Setup Wizard along the left hand side to begin configuring the printer.
Once the printer is on the network, you can put your computer back on your own network and print again.
If for any reason this does not work, please let me know what operating system , and version you have? Mac or Windows?

I have a iphone 5c and a wireless computer hooked to a usb wireless printer Hp4215 officejet all-in-one how can I print from my phone to the printer

How can I print to my wireless Hp officejet 4215 all-in-one printer that is usb in line with my computer that uses windows 7 from my Iphone 5c

there are 2 ½ ways to print
1. the printer support AirPrint and it works out of the box
2. one get a printing app from app store which support the printer
2-½ one get the free software from netgear called netgear genie which will make the computer display all printes it's know act as AirPrint printers
no other things in the known universe will make printing possible

Duplex printing- 2540 all-in-one desk jet

Just bought an all-in-one in the online manual it says how to set up duplex printing for OS X 10.7 however when going into system preferences the option in the drivers tab for duplex does not appear. Does the printer actuall allow for duplex printing or do i need to install another driver?

Hi Chris,
The Deskjet 2540 do not support Automtic Duplex Printing.
As the specific device provide manual duplexing only you may perform manual duplexing as following:
In order to perform manual duplexing, you shouls use the Pages to Print setting, as you may find listed within the Printing on both sides of the paper manually section below:

Switch from PS laser printer to PCL all-in-one

I've been using a Xerox Phaser 4400 for years, and I'm starting to suspect
it's on it's last legs.
When I purchased it, much of my work went to press as hard copy, so the PS
printer (where I could set dot screen properly was important). I also wanted
only Adobe PS as I'd had problems with cloned versions in the past.
Now, of course, none of my work goes to press has hard copy, all as PDFs
either emailed or on CDs.
Is there any reason (my main apps are Creative Suite CS3) to still need a
Postscript printer? Do these apps print properly to PCL or is PS still
needed?
I'd like to clear up some office space by getting rid of my PS printer,
stand alone fax machine, scanner and copiers in favor of one of the new
network all-on-ones (PC Mag rated a Brother very highly this month).
Any reason not to do this? Or any thoughts to help me decide?

Worked great! I needed to do a few color jobs a few years ago (before color laser became affordable) and I bought a Brother all-in-one inkjet. I couldn't stand (read despise) inkjets and I bought this new Dell Inspiron 530 desktop which doesn't come with a parallel port so I had to say goodbye to my old Brother laser printer. But I've really enjoyed the convenience of this compact Brother all in one. I never have to leave my chair to scan, copy, or print and it barely takes up any room.
