Printing Calendars question

I haven't used iCal in a long while. However, I remember that after setting up a calendar and printing it in "Week" view, the printout looked exactly like the on screen image. Namely a "colored bubble" which filled the Day Column. With iCal 2.0.4, I still see the presentation on the screen, but the only printout option I can find is a narrow band of color on the left side of the Day Column. While this may be a nice minimalist effect, it makes it very difficult to see the color or the time frame from any distance (I planned to use iCal to make flyers that get posted on a bulletin board).
Any ideas? Or do I have to use some other app? Pity if thats the case because it seems this type of preference shouldn't be that hard to implement.
Thanks,

I, too, miss the "bubbles". The workaround that I use is to do the screen capture (Splat-Shift-4) that allows me to use the crosshair pointer shape to select that I want.
In practice, I usually do a couple of screen captures - one for each week that I want to print. They're all right on the desktop, so I just select them all, double-click one of them, and Print Preview graciously lets me print them.

    Hi,
    I am trying to create print option for the calendar day view.I used the below code to show the print preview.
    <input onclick="javascript:void(printwebpart('WebPartWPQ2'))" type="button" value="Print Web Part 2"/>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    function printwebpart(webpartid)
    var WebPartElementID = webpartid;
    alert("ID="+WebPartElementID);
    var bolWebPartFound = false;
    if (document.getElementById != null)
    //Create html to print in new window
    var PrintingHTML = '\n\n';
    //Take data from Head Tag
    if (document.getElementsByTagName != null)
    var HeadData= document.getElementsByTagName("HEAD");
    if (HeadData.length > 0)
    PrintingHTML += HeadData[0].innerHTML;
    PrintingHTML += '\n\n\n';
    var WebPartData = document.getElementById(WebPartElementID);
    if (WebPartData != null)
    PrintingHTML += WebPartData.innerHTML;

    Please help.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you want to be able to print the Day view of a Calendar List in SharePoint 2013.
    I also test the code above in my environment, and the result is the same as yours.
    In the print preview dialogue, the events are not showing in the right place as they are in the Calendar list’s Day view.
    As a workaround, I recommend that you can try to follow the steps as below to import the Calendar List into the Outlook 2013 and print the same format as Outlook calendars.
      1.  Open this Calendar List in your site, click on the “Connect to Outlook” under the “Calendar” tab.
      2.  Click “Allow” to confirm that you want to allow the SharePoint website to open Outlook on your computer. Outlook automatically opens.
      3.  Click “Yes” to confirm that you want the SharePoint calendar to connect to Outlook. The SharePoint Calendar automatically appears in Outlook under “Other Calendars”.
      4.  Click “Other Calendars” in the navigation pane in the left side of the window. Click the SharePoint Calendar to open it.
      5.  Go to the “File” tab, click “Print”, select “Daily Style” under the “Settings” to print the Day view of this SharePoint Calendar.
      6.  Click “Print Options”, select the specific “Page range” and “Print range” based on your need, click “Print” after selecting your options to print the SharePoint Calendar.

  • How can I print Calendar week from iPad?

    How can I print Calendar week from iPad?

    Aside from taking a screen shot of the Calendar in week view and then printing that from the camera roll, you will need a third party app. I have seen this one recommended in the past .... CalPrint for iPad.

  • I have an Ipad and Iphone but I don't have an Airprint, only a WIFI printer,my question is if I connect the wifi printer to Airport express, can I print from Ipad and Iphone ?

    I have an Ipad and Iphone but I don't have an Airprint at home but only a WIFI printer, my question is if I connect the wifi printer to Airport express, can I print from Ipad and Iphone ? Please help me if anyone knows about this.

    Unfortunately, connecting a non-AirPrint-enabled printer to an AirPort base station's USB port will not make it AirPrint-ready.
    You will need to use another solution, like Printopia, to be able to print to this printer from an iOS device.

  • Making a print calendar from iPhoto

    I am using iphoto to make a print calendar.  I chose the "picture calendar" option. After inserting my photos, I noticed that the font size of the month on each page (e.g., January 2015) had become tiny (like 6 pt).  How do I adjust that back to the size on the original template?

    With the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a solution.  We can't see your computer so we need to know the details of your problem and setup, i.e.:
    what version of iPhoto are you using?
    what system version are you running?
    what fixes have you tried?
    As a test launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library.  Import some photos and test to see if the same problem with the font persists. Does it?
    If it does try the following:
    1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
         User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
    2 - delete the contents the following folder: User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto
    3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and check again.
    NOTE: For Mavericks and Yosemite,  go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:
    where you can check the Show Library Folder checkbox.

  • Operation Failed - Print Calendar Details Style

    When trying to print calendar in "Calendar Details Style" I get "Operation Failed" in preview screen. I am still able to print, but not preview. It does work with Shared calendars, but other calendars must be unchecked first. Outlook
    profile has been created on another machine with same issue. Office has been repaired and uninstalled\Reinstalled. Same issue. We have also taken profile out of cached mode, same problem. Any ideas? It is only happening to one user.
    Thanks,

    Sorry for the delay in getting back, but I have not revisited this issue in a while. Users is still having problem. Currently she has permissions to 2 additional calendars Lets say Calendar 1 and Calendar 2. She also has her own DEFAULT calendar. When her
    calendar is checked for viewing she gets operation failed when trying to preview "Print Calendar Details Style", This only seems to happen when her own calendar is checked. She cannot print details style on her own calendar. Tried cleanreminders
    and tried to created her profile on another machine. It is the same issue which makes me think this may be on the server side.
    Sorry forgot to add, but did try safe mode and did not work. Every other preview for her calendar works except Details view.

  • Using Applescript to print calendars in MS Outlook

    I print my daily in portrait orientation, with the task list.  I like to print my weekly calendar in landscape orientation, without the task list.
    I'm new to Applescript and have been poking around in the Outlook library but can't find anything there that indicates how to even just print Calendars using Applescript.
    Is there a way to change the page setup to landscape orientation, then print the weekly format (without tasks) and the reset the print orientation to portrait?
    Thanks in advance-

    Mac OS 10.6.8

    You mention using AS to set the preset. Do you know how to do that?
    I'm trying to find out how to use a print preset in Applescript on 10.6.7. The only things I've found on the internet suggest running a terminal command that changes the preset, but they are talking about 10.4 and it doesn't work in 10.6. I can't find the answer to this anywhere. It seems like it should be rather simple.

  • Calendar question(s)

    APEX 3.01, RDBMS 10GR2
    I am new to the APEX tool. Two calendar questions, please.
    (1) I have a requirement that the values in the calendar object ("year" drop box) need to go back to 1800. Currently, when selecting on the calendar object, the earliest year available is 1920. Any ideas on how to expand the range of "year" dates to allow the user to select as far back as 1800?
    (2) My requirement calls for limiting users to selecting the calendar object for populating the date field. Currently, while users have the calendar available to populate a date field, they are not forced to use it - ie. they could fill in the date field with a valid date and not use the calendar. Is there a way to limit user input of date fields to use the calendar object only?
    Thanks in advance,
    Barry D.

    Chrissy,
    Thanks for the suggestion on how to force the user to use the calendar instead of entering data directly into the date field box. While setting the HTLM Form Element Attribute to "disabled" works for entering a new date [user cannot input directly into field, must use calendar], however, when I save my record, the date field is not saved to the database. All other elements are saved to the database. The saving of all data elements including the date, was working prior to this change. When I removed the suggested element attribute from my field and save a new record, all data is saved.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.
    Barry D.

  • How to print calendar for the year with one month a page in sharepoint 2010?

    Currently, I can print a SharePoint 2010 calendar one page at time when the month view is displayed.  Is there an easy way to print all the months at once with one month on each page?
    Thanks for any tips!

    I can't vouch for it but a useful looking CodePlex project might help with this.
    If you've permissions to install it and test, have a look at this. It does mention Calendars specifically too.

  • Ical: print calendar week starts with tuesday

    Every time I try to print my Calendar (iCal) calendars, they print with Tuesday (torek in Slovenian) as the first day of the week (in either Month or Week version). Always. I tried everything — turning some calendars on and off, and it doesn't help. I have Monday set as the first day of the week and the preview in Calendar (iCal) is working correctly, the problem is just with printing. Basically, I just can't print the normal week or month calendar with Mondays as the first days of the weeks (Monday = Ponedeljek).
    Is this bug only present in Slovenian version or elsewhere too? Can I fix it somehow?
    The Calendar is working fine, pon (Monday is the first day of the week:
    When trying to print it, first day is switched to torek (Tuesday) — here in month view:
    The same problem with the week view:

    Changing the 1st day of the week to Sunday usually corrects this bug.

  • Wrong starting day of the week printing calendar in month view

    I'm trying to print a month view calendar with the weeks starting from Monday.
    In "Preferences" -> "General tab" ->"Start week on:"  I've set Monday, and it is properly viewed in Calendar, but when I try to print it in the preview I see Tuesday as first day of the week.
    This happens on many MacBook that I've tried, all with Yosemite and Italian regional settings.
    The only way to resolve this issue is to open "System Preferences" ->"Language & Region" and change the "First day of the week:" on Sunday in all my "Preferred Languages" (both Italian and English), to have the printing preview of a calendar starting on Monday!
    Is there an other way?
    Is this a bug that should be submitted to Apple to get a "patch" on future releases of Mac OS X?
    I know, it is a tiny issue, but annoying.
