Printing changes in Calendar?

As a teacher, I use Apple Calendar to keep up with, print and share my classroom calendar.
But something has changed and I don't know what! Any ideas?
Here is my workflow:
Make calendar for my classes (its synced to my webpage and many kids have it synced to their iPhones)
Shift-select each event in that class and print "selected events"
Open in Preview
Add a header, maybe a star or two on test dates...
Print & copy
Here is what has changed:
When I do this now, two things have changed:
1) extra space is taken up with "All Day Events" - there are none, so it's extra blank space
2) the days of the week (Monday, Tuesday...) are gone.
Previously (even in Yosemite) All Day Events didn't show and day of the week did.
I know I can use it as a "teachable moment," but seriously? (Yes kids - the days are not listed. Why don't you write them down?)
I'd appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks!

I actually did that before because my notes won't sync.  Then realised that it was the exchange server having problems.  When problems with exchange was solved, notes synced.  Anyway, since you suggested it, I did it again. and it worked - thanks.   I just hope I don't have to keep doing this.

  • When I print a weekly calendar from Lightning, the title reads "Week 10". Is there a way to change this to my name?

I need a little more formatting flexibility from Lightning. When I print a weekly calendar, the title reads "Week 10" in large bold print. Is there a way to change this to my name? I searched through the entries in the Tools/Calendar/Advanced file, but didn't find what I was looking for.
    Thanks in advance!

guigs2: I appreciate your kind response. But please let me clarify: it's not the calendar's title that I'm trying to change, but the notation of which week of the year the calendar has noted. When printing the weekly task view, the calendar's title is at the top. A subheading is then available to edit as well. But what I'd like to edit is the third heading, which this week reads "Week 10". It's the "Week 10" that I'd like to edit. Is there an entry in a configuration file that I could edit, or ???
Thank you for your time and interest!

  • Why won't iCal print all my Calendars when I can see them on the screen?

I have eight Calendars set up in iCal. When I select 'Print' a new screen appears and, once again, I can see all eight Calendars. The word 'Print' is at the top of this screen. I press the Continue box and a second Print screen appears. This time all but two of my Calendars have disappeared (confirmed if I open in Preview). And of course it's only this version that prints. What happened between the first Print screen and the second, and how can I manage to print all my Calendars?

    Hi st louis,
Are the tickets you downloaded from Ticketmaster PDFs? If so, have you opened them in Acrobat or Reader to print them? I haven't ever been required to enter a password to print an e-ticket from Ticketmaster, but they may have changed their policy. Did they provide you with a password when you purchased your tickets--perhaps in the confirmation email?

  • How can i print a monthly calendar without the times printing?

I am trying to print an itinerary of an upcoming trip in Ical.  I do NOT want the times to afect either the sorting of events on a particular date or for the Time of day to printed on the calendar.  When I invoke "all-day" Ical sorts alphabetically; when I invoke normal calendar settings, it inovkes times.  All I want to do is provide the hotel, reservation code and activities but I do NOT want to see the time of these entries.  Can I do this in Ical?

It seems like a simple solution must be at hand. There is an option in the iCal Preferences (General) panel--Show event times. With this command unchecked the screen view of the month view is free of the times of day, but when I print the month view the times of day are printed.

  • Changing the calendar settings: Sunday as the first day of the week

    Dear Masters of SAP universe,
In ECC6.0, I am using a LIS info-structure with the period split set to week.
I would like to know how can I change the calendar settings in order to consider Sunday as the first day of the week, instead of Monday.
    For example:
A sales order created on Dec 12th creates the record 201049 in the info structure S900 - SPWOC.
I would like to have it as 201050, where 50 is the currently week in the system.
I already checked OSS notes and the transaction SCAL for customizing. But I did not find a solution this issue.
    Your help is highly appreciated!

    hi,
this seems to be a calendar issue.
please check for OSS also - 1158474.

  • Can I print my ical calendar in a orientation other than landscape?

I like to print my monthly calendar and slip it into a monthly pocket divider in my binder that I normally take to meetings etc. Unfortunatley the ical calendar only seems to print in a landsape view that does not work well in binders. This has always been very frustrating  and because of it I have always used other calendars. I really would like to use my ical. Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks in advance.

iCal doesn't offer you this option. You might like to consider BusyCal, which does:
It's like 'iCal Pro', with a lot of useful extra facilities: it uses the same database as iCal so for 'On My Mac' calendars it works immediately. It will also sync with MobileMe in the same way as iCal, though you will need to set it up separately. It's slightly cheaper in the Mac App Store than from their website.

  • Printing a yearly calendar with iCal?

I want to print a yearly calendar in both letter and half letter format with my iCal, how do I do that?

No, I don't see this option either... I've exhausted every option inside iCal and my advanced print settings.
The only other suggestion is to go to iCal and "provide iCal feedback" within the menu bar and request this feature.
I will do this as well.
In the meantime a workaround is:
Select "month view" in the print settings - select 12 months to print and select "ok".
Then your printer options will open up.
From there click the Layout drop down tab, and then select "16 pages" per sheet.
Then they will all print on 1 page... though the numbers are too small to really be deemed "legible".
You may want to mess around with zoom settings after you arrange 16 pages per sheet.
This is the only workaround to get "close" to what you want to do.

  • I want to change my calendars...

I am lazy... well, not really, but I am looking for the lazy way to do this:
I have been pretty good about organizing my calendars so that I have a separate one for work, home, social, medical, church, family, and other random types of events. This is great...
    BUT
I have 2 separate computers that I use, and I don't have .mac, so I can't really sync them like that. What I want to do is transfer the new items from one of my computers to the other one, but I don't want a bunch of duplicates. I am therefore trying to create a calendar that has all of the events I have created in the past month so I can take them home and put them on my computer there. I have been selecting each event and selecting this new calendar, but I was wondering if anyone had figured out a way to either drag and drop events into a calendar, or when multiple events are selected (using the event list) move all of the selected events to a different calendar. I suppose that I can take the time to go through one by one... but it is such a pain.
So, if anyone else has either had this problem or knows how to solve it, I would like to hear from you!
This is one of the only features I miss from the short time I used outlook... dragging and dropping events into categories and the ability to schedule meetings online and have the details automatically be entered into the calendar. It looks like there may be support for this in the new mail/ ical, but I haven't figured it out yet...
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Liz,
You could select all the events you want, and then Control-Click one of them. This opens a contextural menu. One of the options in this menu is Calendar. You can change the calendar of all the selected events in one go from here.
    Best wishes

  • How can I print the iCloud calendar on mt PC (windows 7)

Does anyone know how to print the monthly calendar in iCloud.  I can view it,but don't know how to print it.
    Thanks

whoops - I was wrong. First of the three pages I see in preview is grayed out, next page has a couple of pics/boxes, one says "Find my Phone", third page has some other pics/windows ... definitely not my calendar that I had on the screen when I tried to print.

  • I can't print a monthly calendar--I get a preview but no way to print it.

There is no print option in the previw box that you et when you hit print on the calendar page. I tried sending the preview image to myself but it prints small.

You should see a delete and/or Subscription settings when you Control-Click (Right-click) on the calendar. What source did you use to subscribe?
A workaround you could try would be to download the demo for BusyCal and see if you can remove in BusyCal.

    Hi JasperNM,
You may access a card within the cart reader by mapping a network drive to access it, then you may transfer the fies to your Mac.
First locate the printer IP address as following:
Follow these steps to print a Wireless Network Test Report, the IP address will be listed within that report:
On the control panel, press the Setup button ( ).
Press the Right Arrow button ( ) to scroll to Network Setup , and then press the OK button.
Press the OK button to select Print Network Settings .
Press the Right Arrow button ( ) to scroll to Wireless Test Report , and then press the OK button. The Wireless Network Test Report prints.
Now map a network driver by following the steps below:
Click the Finder icon on your Mac.
    Click the Go menu.
    Click on Connect to Server.
In the Server Address field enter “smb://ipaddress of the printer” and click on Connect.
You will be prompted to enter the password. leave it as is and click on Connect.
The Memory card will be mounted as a disk in the Finder.

  • Print out my calendar

Anybody know how to print out the calendar in iCloud?  I need to have it for tax purposes as all my business appts and travel are on it. Thanks!

You can only print from the iCloud website if you take a screenshot (command-shift-3 for the entire screen or command-shift-4 and select the area to save).
You would do better to print from iCal, but your signature says you have 10.6.8 - if this is true you cannot sync your calendar (other than by a hack which may or may not work). If you do have Lion please amend your signature.
    The 'hack' is detailed here:

  • Printed a shared calendar with tasks

I need to print my boss's daily calendar with the tasks listed on the right side, but although both his calendar are tasks are shared with me and I can view them, it won't let me print the calendar with the tasks from my outlook.  From other
discussions I saw people recommending the Calendar Printing Assistant for Outlook, but it looks like that only works in Outlook 2007 and it won't work on my Outlook 2013.
Is there any solution for this besides adding his mailbox to my computer?

    Hi
As per the information and details provided by you, to print a shared calendar with tasks, please follow these steps: -
In Outlook 2013, you need to ensure the print settings are correct first.
    Go to the
Calendar; enter Day view by clicking the Day button above the Calendar.
    File tab >
Print. In the list at the right ensure Daily Style is chosen under
Settings. Then click the Print Options button just above the
Settings list. In the Print Dialog box that opens, right in the middle is a button that says
    Page Setup; select that.
Print setup dialog box that opens, in the
Format tab, find the Options block on the lower left. In that block, the second item down is labeled
Tasks. From the drop-down menu to the right of Tasks, choose
    To-Do list.
In that same dialog box you probably want to clear the checkmark next
“include: Notes area (blank)” to make more room for tasks.
    Now click
OK first and then Print on the next screen. That’s it. The setting should be saved.
I hope this information will be helpful for you.
    Thanks and regards
