Printing Color Problems mac pro to epson r2400

I have a Mac Pro upgraded from a G5 and I am having difficulty printing the colors properly to my Epson r2400. I downloaded the newest driver from epson 6.57 but it is no different and still have colors printing wrong. Looks good onscreen but nothing now prints proper colors. I tried to save the illustrator file from CS5 to CS4 and print from G5 but now the file and colors won't even print from the older computer which used to be spot on colors (after I had to call to have this problem fixed.) Any suggestions? Does Mac Pro have a new driver to fix? Epson seems to not respond.

Longshot because my issue is with a PC and an epson printer. But I recently needed to uninstall and reinstall the epson software. You might try doing that.
I was having issues printing wirelessly, both from my laptop and my ipad/ipod. It started working after I uninstalled/reinstalled the software. I also didn't install the e-print and webprint. Don't know if that's a factor or not, but if you choose to reinstall you may want to do it in stages.

  • Printer wireless for Mac Pro and  I pad.?

Need to get a printer wireless for Mac Pro  also can be use with the IPad  this is possible? Thank  you

Any of the current HP e-Print capable printers support AirPrint capabilities without even having to enable the e-Print stuff that's purely HP.
Also, make sure your exisiting network router at home supports multicast protocols.  The majority of retail routers support this and you won't have issues, but I've run into problems with carrier issued modem/router combo units from Comcast made by Arris that don't support multicast and other protocols and hence, will not allow for the necessary discovery protocols for AirPrint to work across the wired or wireless network.  In cases like that, the fix is to place those units in "bridge mode" and then use your own router behind it that doesn't restrict that capability.  Just FYI.

  • PS CS4 Pinsel-Druck Problem mac pro os10.5.6

    Hi,

    Hi Steve,
Late yesterday I finally got my problem with Dreamweaver CS4 resolved with senior tech support of Adobe.  They didn't call me back the first of the week as they said they would last week.  I kept calling them until I was able to get through to the senior support level.  The senior support technician told me that they had this problem with only one other person, which I find hard to believe.
The fix for this problem was not a quick and simple fix.  The fix involved going into the "Terminal" inside the applications folder and typing in a lot of text, which was precisely dictated to me by the senior support technician.  There were quite a few lines of text that had to be precisely typed in order to fix this problem, and without any typing mistakes that could possibly make a real mess of my computer.  The text in the terminal window was really small and I eventually had to put on two pairs of glasses in order to clearly see what I was typing with my head close to the video monitor, which took close to an hour to do.  Needless to say I had a horrible headache afterwards, but thank God it did fix my crashing problem and Dreamweaver is now working properly on my computer as it should.
I suggest you be persistant with your calls to Adobe tech support if you have not yet heard back from them.  The support technician's name who worked with me in order to resolve this problem is Sid.
Hopefully Adobe developer engineers will fix this problem with an update in the near future that some of us are experiencing.
An interesting note...  I asked the support technician if the Adobe developer engineers were in the USA, and he said that the Adobe engineer development team is now situated in India.
    All the best,
    Kip

  • Dual Display Problem - Mac Pro / 23" Apple Cinema

Hey guys, I'm having a bit of a hard time right now. Here's my situation. I'm using my Mac Pro with a primary HD Apple Cinema Display 23". I just recently stumbled upon a Sony HS95P. I've used this monitor before as a second display a few years back. I bought a " DVI 24+1 male to VGA female adapter DVI-D DVI-I DVI-A " and plugged it into my computer, no problem. Display shows up in system preferences, when I check mirror displays it takes the resolution of the 2nd display and the Sony flashes. However no screen, Blacked on the Sony. When I set up the displays to run into eachother, I can venture my mouse over onto where the other monitor would be, however it's black on the Sony.
What could be the problem? I didn't buy the Apple adapter, but could this REALLY be that serious of an issue? I didn't use it in the past, atleast I don't think I did.. Also could it be the OS? I'm using 10.6.8. Any help or advice/things to try would be awesome...  I have two DVI slots in the back of my Mac Pro, gfx card is a NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT. Thanks guys.

I'm back. Got my Mac Pro back from repair today. Ahhh...25" screen. However, they (the Apple Repair People) have put a new GeForce 8800GT in, to replace the old one.
And the final bill was $380 CDN ($40 for work, the rest for the card, around $300.)
What's Apple's policy on graphics card replacement, even if the customer is paying for it? I thought I asked for a new ATI 5770 card, but maybe I was wrong. I don't think I can take her back in and ask 'em to put a better card in there, and only ask for a bit more to cover the difference in price. I've got a feeling it doesn't work like that.....
    thanks

  • Dell 968AIO printer compatibility with Mac Pro?

Has anyone successfully gotten the above printer to work with a Mac?

This is the help articles I put in a notebook for printer issues:
OS X Mountain Lion and OS X Lion systems will have the necessary printing software already installed, or will automatically download and install software when the printer is connected or configured. Do not install software that came with the printer as it may be out of date, and do not connect the printer to your Mac yet. Follow the instructions that came with the printer to unpack, install ink or toner, and insert paper.  Finally, use the instructions in this article to connect the printer to your Mac.
Make sure the printer model is listed in Printer and scanner software, which is a comprehensive list of all printer models that have compatible software for OS X Mountain Lion and OS X Lion.
    How to add a printer
Start a print job on the Mac and manage its options
    Generate and manage PDFs
Manage the printer queue and printer dock icon
    Share the printer queue
Mac OS Printing/Fax (any version), OS X Lion, OS X Mountain Lion
    http://www.apple.com/support/osx/
printing in OS X Mountain Lion
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4670
Try to delete the Lexmark print queue under Print & Fax / Print & Scan then manually add a print queue. Steps here: http://bit.ly/TdUuHL
If it doesn't work, reset the printing system:
      http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1341
then add another print queue manually.
Also, check for a software update for your Lexmark printer.

  • Lightroom 1.4.1 printing problem -Mac pro OS X 10.5.1 & Epson 3800 printer

    Updated to 1.4.1 from 1.4.
Printing is back to the ugly magenta - not as bad as with 1.3.1, but printing was perfect with 1.4
I printed the same file from Lightroom, from Aperture & from Adobe photoshop CS3.
Printing from Aperture & from Adobe photoshop CS3 are good. Soft-proofing from Aperture is near perfect. With Photoshop CS3 the soft-proofing thru View is good, but the review before printing is totally off, as it has been for eons. Soft-proofing in Lightroom 1.4.1 is equivalent to soft-proofing in Aperture (looks the same on the monitor) - but it doesn't print that way. Prints are way too magenta, as they were with 1.3.1
Seems like Adobe just can't get it right. Fix one thing only to mess something else up.
How do I go back to Lightroom 1.4?

    Mary Ann,
I'm having the same problem. It appears that changing the print option to "let LR manage colors" doesn't save and hence the color shift.

  • Printing from Aperture on MacBook Pro to Epson R2400

Downloaded latest drivers from Epson and still can't print. Any suggestions? I'm plugged in via USB into Mac. Help please.

Can you print from other applications or is it only Aperture?
Go to Finder - Hardware - Printers - can you see that printer? If you can see the printer then your basic set-up is okay. If you cannot see the printer, you have either not installed the s/w correctly or it could be a hardware connection problem. Usually, it is 99% s/w problem.

  • How do I print wirelessly from my Mac Pro to Epson XP-810 printer

I recently bought a Epson XP-810 printer and conected to my WiFi wireless router ASUS N750. The printer's test sheet states that network is working correctly but a "Router / Access point channel" conflict has been detected. I'm using a macbookpro with the current Maverick OS. The system setting shows the printer is on idle, but when I try printing wirelessly from laptop it doesn't print.
Any assistance or advice would be greatly apprecite it.

Do you know the printer's IP? If you have it you can use Network Utility to ping the printer. Its in System / Library / CoreServices / Applications.
Enter the IP in the empty field, the number of pings you want to send, then click Ping.
The results might help locate the problem.

  • I cannot use the FS-4000DN printer with my mac pro.  What driver do I need?

I have a refurbished Mac Book Pro with OS X 10.8.5 and cannot find a driver for the Ecosys FS-4000DN Printer.  Says my mac book is incompatible.  I realize this may not be a mac problem but one with the printer co.  Any ideas?

Have you tried with GutenPrint and see if that can drive the printer?

  • Printing color problem

I am using LV 6.0. I have saved a LV in 6.0 in RTF format for printing. When I access the file in word, I can see the colour wires. However when I print using pixma ip1000, all the colour wires disappear. Why? How to prevent this?

    Hello!
Unfortunately I cannot be much help with the LabVIEW 6.0 version, but if you
are interested in a trial of LabVIEW 8, feel free to download the Windows
evaluation copy here.  LabVIEW 8, does require Windows 2000 or Windows
    XP.
    I
do suspect that this is a problem with your printer not being able to print
small lines, or the way Word or Word Pad (the program opening the file) is
converting the file to an image the printer can understand.  You can print
these in color in newer versions of LabVIEW.  You should also be capable
of taking screen shots of your block diagram
    (<ctrl>+<alt>+<print screen>) and pasting into a picture
viewing program like MS Paint for editing.  Perhaps these programs are
better suited for your printer than Word.
    Hopefully
    this helps!

  • Post 10.4.3 update, HP printer color problems, sharing problems

    Hi all
Hope you could help me; I've looked everywhere for tips, but I've not been able to find anything.
Setup: HP deskjet 5700 plugged into my G5 via USB. I've got a Powerbook 12" as well, and all is connected via an Airport Express to a DSL modem.
I've used this setup to print from both the G5 and the Powerbook, via a printer share setup on the G5. It has worked like a charm.
After the 10.4.3 update, my printer has performed erroneously. First of all, when I go to print from the Powerbook, the printer share of the G5 does not show up. If I switch the share on and off on the G5, it "broadcasts" the share just fine, and I can get to print from the Powerbook again. A minor annoyance, but when I need to do it all the time it becomes a pain.
But worse yet, another problem arose. The printer output became flakey: Sometimes a picture would print out just fine, and sometimes the printout would seemingly lack one of the primary colors! It seems completely random. This is the same, no matter if I print out through the share or directly to the printer from either computer. Also, some pictures would print out with bands of missing colors. Very odd. Yes, I have tried to clean the printer, print out test pages etc. It's not the printer itself! The printer works just fine.
I tried to delete the printer in the printer utility and then add it again. No avail. I tried to perform a permissions repair, no avail.
On top of this is I found an odd thing. The driver version is 2.7.1, and if you find the HP deskjet installer on HP's website, it's the same version. Fine and all, but here's the strange thing: HP Deskjet 5700 does not exist in the support pages of HP! So I have a printer they say never existed... :-P
Could anybody give me a hint as to what I could try? Thanks!
    - Jesper

macjack made some comments on my other question regarding the time machine problem and his comments helped me solve the problem with the JMP software. The time machine is problematic and from time to time has issues. It seems though that if you reset the in the system then it comes back o.k. I hope that in the future when I have to restore something it will be there for me.
