Printing cut off in acrobat pro x

In Acrobat Pro X for Windows, some documents cut off the right side by about 1". I've tried every setting change I can think of and nothing works to get the document centered again.
Any thoughts?

It certainly would help if you would provide us some specifics of the type of printer you are having this problem with, the driver you use with it, and the characteristics of the files that fail in this manner. It would also help if you could advise what OS version you are running on (Windows 7 64-bit) for example.
My guess is that this is not a PostScript printer and that perhaps the OS-resident printer driver is running out of memory to rasterize complex pages, but that is a stab-in-the-dark.
Come back with more info and we'll try to help.

  • HP PSC 2355 all-in-one printer cuts off bottoms of letters

My HP PSC 2355 All-In-One Printer cuts off the bottoms of letters. Photos are fine. 3rd HP black cartrige, got worse today.
     On a Mac, 10.9.3.

    Hi @timed
I would like to help you with your 2355 printer. A printer reset can initiate an alignment. Please use the following document to troubleshoot the issue, and let me know the outcome of your efforts; Troubleshooting Print Quality Problems with the Diagnostic Page.
If the issue remains unresolved after following all of the steps in the link above, I recommend contacting HP.
Don't hesitate to call, although the printer may be out of warranty, the cartridges could be in warranty; therefore, there wouldn't likely be a fee for the phone support. HP will, at HP's option, either replace products under warranty that prove to be defective or refund the purchase price.
They could even determine after troubleshooting that it is a problem with the printer, in which case they may offer you a discount on a newer model.
The number to call HP is 1-800-474-6836 for Canada and US, or you can Contact HP Worldwide.
To find the “Warranty Ends” date, look in the following table for the date's location on each product. The date follows the YYYY/MM/DD or YYYY/MM format, where YYYY indicates the year, MM indicates the month, and DD indicates the day.
    I hope this helps.

  • Why does my printer cut off the top of copies?cc=us

My printer cuts off the top of copies.  Is there some way to adjust the printing size at the top?

gedwardc, what is the size that you are trying to scan? Is it a legal document or a normal letter sized document? Has it worked before, and this is a recent developement?
I want you to do hard reset in the meantime, so unplug the machine from both the back of the unit and the wall outlet for thirty second, and then plug it back in.
    Let me know!

  • Printer hangs from Adobe Acrobat Pro 10.1.2

    Windows 7 x64
HP Color Laserjet 5550 PCL 5 over TCP/IP Port
Printer hangs for a very long time and then generates an error, but no record of it in Printer event log.  The spooling size of the PDF is also incredibly large compared to the actual size of the document.  This problem has just emerged after the upgrade from Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.
    Help!

Have you checked to see if this might be related to duplex being automatically selected in the printing dialog in version 10.1.2? To turn it off try the following:
Open the PDF you want to print.
Click the Print icon to open the Print dialog box.
Click Size, and then deselect Print On Both Sides Of Paper.
It's a known issue with the 10.1.2 update.

  • I can't print a PDF in Acrobat Pro anymore

Up until very recently, I had no problem printing a PDF on my Canon while in Acrobat Pro on my Mac Pro running 10.7.5. I'm running Acrobat Pro 11.0.07. This is just making me crazed.
    In my Google research travels:
I've tried printing as an image. No luck.
I do not have any other printers set up in my system preferences.
I've tried removing any protection. I've tried sanitizing the document.
I am able to print if I open the PDF in Preview.
What the bleep has Adobe gone and done? Does anyone have any suggestions?

This just started happening to me today.  Did you ever get this solved?

  • Images at the bottom of the screen are cut off in HDR Pro

I'm running a Mac and have recently installed CS5.  When I open files to do an HDR, the photos used in the HDR are cut off at the bottom of the screen.  In other words, what I mean is, they should be able to be selected with the check box is being included or not.  Also, the "OK" and "Cancel" buttons are cut off.  I thought that perhaps it was the screen resolution or perhaps the dockeed icons below.  Yet, I'm using the highest screen resolution and that's not a factor. I've hidden the dock, moved it...no difference. I've tried resizing the HDR window but it only resizes horizontally - not vertically.
This is frustrating.  I'd like to be able to see the entire images being used in the HDR pro and decide whether to include them (or not) by the check boxes; especially since this is how it's supposed to work.  Any ideas?

    Hi Charles,
Until just now...it didn't work.  Isn't that how it is...ya ask for an answer for something that's broke...then it works.
When it wasn't working...the Green maximize button didn't do much except allow me to pull the window down further.  Once I would try to resize the window from the resize section at the bottom right, the window would resize to full size...not much good.
Although...for whatever reason, it seems to be working now.  Will it work tomorrow?  beats me.
    Thanks for yoru help.

  • Cannot print with authentication from acrobat pro on osx

My company has a printer that requires authentication in the form of a 5 digit "account code", which is entered into the print driver installed on my laptop (OSX 10.9).  My printer service company has saved the account code in my print driver so that whenever I submit a print job it is sent to the printer with the account code and the job prints properly.  If a print job is submitted without an account code then the job is rejected and never prints.
Adobe Acrobat Pro NEVER uses the default printer settings that I have set up on my computer.  Which means that most of the time when I print from adobe acrobat the print job is rejected.  If I click on the "printer..." button to access the print driver then my default settings show up and my account code is included with my print job but that NEVER happens automatically, which means that EVERY TIME I print something I have to remember to bring up my print driver and verify the settings.  This is very inconvenient and is unnecessary with any other piece of software I use.
I have updated to the most recent print driver for my device.
I have updated to the most recent version of my operating system.
I have updated to the most recent version of adobe acrobat pro.
I am able to print from every other application on my computer without any additional steps.
I am able to open a pdf in preview and print without any additional steps but when I open the same pdf in adobe acrobat my print job is rejected.
Please provide a way to use default system printer settings without additional steps with printing from adobe acrobat pro.

I have the same issue as you Dan. I have 2 Macs, one running Acrobat 9 which has no issue so it seems to be the most recent version causing this issue. It is annoying for the person printing it, especially when it's only in the one application

  • Unable to print multiple copies in Acrobat Pro

I am trying to print 2 copies of a 5 page PDF using Acrobat Pro 8.2.6
When i send the PDF to print 2 or more copies it goes as 1 document of 10,15,20 pages depending on how many copies I asked for.
It then prints page 1 of the second copy onto the back of page 5 of the first copy. not what I want!!!!
I have updated Acrobat to the latest version, deleted my printers including the drivers but no joy.
    Any ideas?

What OS? What printer and printer driver? What are you printer driver settings?
If you have an odd number of pages in your document, you might consider adding an intentionally blank page. If your printer will not print an intentionally blank page, print a page with white text on a white background.

  • Printing cuts off top of heads

I use PSE4 on a WIN XP with all updates. I have a photo (originally 5x7) that I resized to 4x6. WHen I try printing it on my HP PHOTOSMART 7960 on 4x6 HP photo paper with tab the printer always cuts off the top of one head. I have tried sizing down the picture to 3.95 inches and then printing on 4x6 paper. I have tried everything else I can think of and it ALWAYS cuts off the top of their heads. WHen I print the photo with a different photo software the print comes out O.K.
What Am I not selecting, etc. to print the photo as what-you-see-is-is-what-you-get in PSE4?

I'm beginning to suspect the aspect ratio of this image isn't correct. Do this experiment and see what happens:
First, make a copy of the image file you're working on so you don't experiment on an original.
Have the copy open on your desktop (in Editor), then go to Image>Resize>Image Size. Make sure there is no checkmark next to Resample, and then start increasing (or decreasing) just the number in the resolution box until the dimensions of the image are just slightly over 4 X 6. Make sure it is 4.something by 6.something, though. Once you get to that point, click OK and accept the change.
With the resized image open on your desktop, select the Rectangular Marquee tool. Once you've selected it, choose "Fixed Size" in the tool's option bar and set the dimensions to 4 X 6. Use the tool and select a perfect 4 X 6 portion of the image, then do Image>Crop. Now try printing.
Most cameras do not produce an image file that can be reduced to a perfect sized print, so a little bit of cropping is usually required. I know that the images from my camera wind up coming closest to 6 X 4.5, so I always have to take off at least 1/2 inch on that dimension that has to be 4 inches.
I don't promise this will work, but I did notice that you said you did no cropping, and that could be the reason why you're not getting the print size you want.

  • HP Deskjet 5740 Color Inkjet Printer cutting off bottom half of letters when printing text

My Printer is cutting off the bottom half of letters when printing documents.  I have tried all the troubleshooting options given on the computer and have changed out the ink cartriges as well.  I am hoping SOMEONE might have a solution to share. Thanks in advance!!!

I have a user experiencing the same issue.  We have removed the drivers and reinstalled them but the problem persists.  Steps we have tried.... Completely uninstalled all the HP software and printer driversRebootedReinstalled drivers and printer softwareI have verified the printer has the latest firmware. It doesn't matter what program we are printing from, approximately the bottom 4th to 3rd of the photo is cut off.  I do have examples I can send that show the problem.   Our organization buys a lot of printers and it would suck to have to start ordering from a different vendor for future buys.  But if HP cannot fix this issue, we'll have to switch to another brand.  Since we cannot attach in here I have uploaded the examples.  The first is an XPS printout from a word 2013 document.  When it's printed it comes out as shown in the scan.pdf file.  (We printed it and then scanned the printout to a PDF).  It is pretty clear that the bottom of the picture is cut off. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks. Brian

  • Photosmart C310a - photo print cut off

I print 4x6 borderless pics from PC to the printer in the highest resoltion. The preview screen
always cuts off some of the edges when in borderless mode, but none when previewing with border.
Is there a way to directly fit the photo to the size of the photo paper without leaving out any part of the pic?

The edges of your image will be cut off by a printer that can’t print all the way to the edges of the paper. In order to prevent this, go to the Image Size menu again and decrease the height by 1 inch (thus also reducing the width). When printed, the image will be centered on the paper. You can also choose “Scale to Fit Media” In Page Setup.

  • Borderless printing cutting off bottom

I have been printing borderless 5x7 prints in PSE8 forever.  All of the sudden yesterday, it started cutting off the bottom of the print.  It still prints borderless on top and the sides, just not the bottom.  I know for a fact it is not the printer.  I am not sure if there is some setting that has accidentally gotten changed or what......any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Suggest that you reset preferences. It may fix it:
Preference settings control how Photoshop Elements displays images, cursors, and transparencies, saves files, uses plug‑ins and scratch disks, and so on. If the application exhibits unexpected behavior, the preferences file may be damaged. You can restore all preferences to their defaults.
Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift immediately after Photoshop Elements begins launching. Click Yes to delete the Adobe Photoshop Elements settings file.
A new preferences file is created the next time you start Photoshop Elements. For information on a specific preference option, search for the preference name in Help.
    Close the program and reopen.
