Printing description of infotype 1002 in smartform

Hi ,
We have a requirement to print the description of subtype of infotype 1002 in smartform . One alternative is to get data in itab and use loops .
But do we have any better way some thing like include text or dynamic text .

Hi Brajesh,
In Infotype 1002 multiple description will be stored in multiple subtypes .
As you have mentioned taking all the descriptions into a table with subtype and desc as internal table columns for a particular object type and getting the values based on required subtype in smart form is the better and easy option than going with dynamic texts.

For uploads we have LSMW or BDC programs. u can do this by using either pp01 and pp02 through LSMW.or Small BDC will do ...
in Standard SAP HR the method u know is only available ....

Infotype 1002 (LMS Course Description): Is there any report?

Hi Experts
We want to print all description for our courses in a report. Is there any report in SAP which takes the description data from infotype 1002. I know the tables hrp1002 and hrt1002 as well as the view hrv1002a. But I can't find any report we can use for that.
Does anyone have an idea?

Thank you for your information. I was able to execute infotype 1002 from a course type. The problem now is that I can't see the real description from the subtypes like "Abstract", "Course Content" etc. It shows me only "With 7 Description" in the Description column.
Do you know how I can see the real content?

Check if you have defined your subtype for all the object types. This can be done by defining the object type as required(if you want the description for a position, put the object type as S, if it is for Org Unit as "O" etc) in table T777Z.

IT1002 is having a HRT1002 (Table Part Infotype 1002) attached with it. So the value you are getting is Reference Number to Table Part (TABNR) and then you have to read HRT1002 against that TABNR adn will get the description fro the object. Also HRT1002 has TABSEQNR (Sequence Number in Table Part of Table Infotype) as the field TLINE which contains text is of 79 character length. So if the description is more then 79 characters, it will get splitted in multiple lines and you have to concatenate that to have complete description of object.

Insertion of infotype 1002 return code 3

We are replication data from HR to SRM system. In infotype 1002 subtype 9002 is maintained in HR.
But in SRM server idoc is failing with errir 'insertion of infotype 1002 tthrough rh_insert_infty ,return code 3'.
I could'nt find any record in SRM server with subtype 9002, please tell me if we need to create this subtype 9002 in SRM server
and from where this description we can read in SRM server.
Please help , its severity 1

Yes you need to create this subtype 9002 in SRM system or else HR transfer will not be successful.

How not to print all the pages of a smartform? (for tr F150 - Dunning)

We have the follow situation:
For DUNNING (transaction F150) the user want stamp 3 diferents SMARTFORM.
For the first time the transaction is executed is required only a list of documents, for the second time (via sample printout, indiv dunn notice or dunn history) once the legal data of the customer is updated, the user wants the list of documents, a letter for the lawyers and a letter for the client, in the follows executions (3 and up) the user can require only the list of documents or all smartforms (list and letters)
Via customizing we can control the normal dunning and the legal dunnig, but once the client is in legal status the transaction create only the legal smarforms.
We found an user exit associated EXIT_SAPF150D_001. in the F150 transaction, but is not complete, in sense that are failed some parameters .
Another option is create an unique smartform with 3 pages where we can control the case for the print, but here is where we ask: How we can do to print a specific page of the smartform without print all of them (how can we print the 2nd and 3rd page without print the firs one) ??
To control the 3rd execution, we can create a dictionary table with a flag .

You could create a report containing all the single reports in one using UNION. This report could be placed on a "hidden" page. The link for downloading that report you can place on your page. That should work.

I'm in prepress, working mainly with Quark XPress for advertising files and with Word, Photoshop, everything, for many years. My older computer is the workhorse with Quark 6.5 and CS4 and OSX 10.4.11. Everything is set up for me to produce PDF x1a files by printing .ps files from Quark and Word, and InDesign.
My newer computer, OSX 10.9.4, must now be used to a greater extent. So I have Quark 9 and 10 and now Creative Suite for the Cloud. But I don't have any Adobe PDF printer which I select when I print .ps files and place into my Distiller Watched Folder. I by pass selecting the Adobe PDF printer in Word and just print straight to .ps. The .ps file just sits in the Watched Folder and no longer flows into Distiller, processed and out. Is this the way of the future? I just want a smooth, fast flow for PDF's. I want them to be PDF x1a compliant for hi-quality printing.
Thought you might help to give me info as to how one uses Distiller (or not) with the new operating system and latest programs. Can't seem to find any info as of yet by searching the Adobe FAQ's and the Internet in general.

Selecting Printer defined in VV22 Transaction for Smartform printout

Hi All,
Can any one help me. My requirement is to print a picking list output using smartform automatically when ever a transfer order is generated.
The main problem is i have to select the printer which is defined in VV22 Transaction for that particular output type but when the smartform is called it is taking the printer defined in SU3 transaction.
I have developed the smartform and now done the setting for automatic printing also by passing NO_DIALOG = 'X' when the function module is called but unable to set the printer defined in VV22 Transaction.
Please let me know if you know the solution.

I think u can directly pass the printer name in ur driver program.
eg:

I'll blog in SDN about my research that I presented at TechEd during session CD119 (blog) but I'll begin sharing with you some ideas.
Basically, without relay on any printer specific driver I would propose to follow the following steps:
1.Generate the QR Code image file (.PNG) with one of the methods presented in the following pages
2.Upload the image into the SAP system
2.1 Convert the generated file (file.png) to TIFF using SAP IGS class CL_IGS_IMAGE_CONVERTER (see GRAPHICS_IGS_IMGCONV_DEMO)
2.2.Upload. Use report RSTXLDMC to upload the image into SE78
3.Include the image into the Form:
3.1.SAPScript/:INCLUDE ZHEX-MARCO-name OBJECT TEXT ID ST
If everything is clear, the missing point should now be the first one. To generate the PNG from ABAP I found some options if you like, the better I think is presented in my open source project called abap2qrcode published here http://code.google.com/p/abap2qrcode/.
I know it's not trivial and I'm curious to know what do you think about it.

Adobe Acrobat 8.....Printer Description File install?????? HELP!!

When I go to print a PDF it says: AdobePDF 8.0 Printer Description File is not currently installed. A Generic PPD will be used instead.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat 8 Pro but it keeps saying it. I need help, I need to make PDF for job that has to go to press.

I have had the same problem, I have made sure the ADPDF8 file is in the macintoshhd/library/printers/ppd/Contents/Resources/folder and have pointed PPD manager to see it, it picks up all the printers installed (loads by the way?) but not the ADPDF8 file - although it is in there!?!
I have to revert back to the default PPD manager to see that and then it only lists the Generics and not any PPDs for the printers installed.
Please help?

If the last page is printed, there are two possibilities
-1- The MAIN WINDOW is only in this page
-2- The page is explicitly printed from another page (new-page)
-3- There is date but its only space or skip line.
So in your form
-1- Redefine the logic of your form
-2- Check that, there are some data to be printed before calling the NEW-PAGE
-3- Do skip or write space lines before printing an actual line and not after

Exporting pdf "acrobat distiller printer description not found" ERROR!

I just upgraded my g4 to tiger and I am running quark 5 on it. I can no longer export pdfs. I get an error saying "acrobat distiller printer description not found." I am stumped and I NEED to get this working!!
Anybody who knows how to fix this please let me know!

You may need to re-install Adobe Acrobat Pro, assuming you need the functionality of Acrobat to create PDFs. To create simple PDF's there is a PDF menu on every print dialog box that does not require the Distiller printer description file.

How to I add ADPDF9 PPD to the printer description file in InDesign CS6?

I am having problems creating a clean PS file for booklet spreads and was advised to add ADPDF9 PPD to the printer description file in InDesign CS6. Can someone please tell me how to do this?

@Ihatecomputers – yes. Quite simple, if you have the PPD file at hand:
On Max OSX:
1. Go to Applications / Adobe inDesign CS6 / Presets
2. Create a folder with the following exact name: PPDs
3. Copy ADPDF9.PPD into that folder
Restart InDesign.
