Printing different & Specific image sizes on a 17x22 contact sheet. pls...

Good day.
I'd like to print some specific sizes on one sheet of 17x22 paper (3800) as not to waste paper. So I'd like to print a 8x10, several 3.5 x 5 etc on one sheet if possible but cant figure it out.
Oh, These would be different images on the same print.
can anyone please guide me?
Thank you.
tom

In Photoshop, use File > Automate > Picture Package
Consult the Help files.
If none of the existing (preset) templates suits you, you can edit or create a new one in any text editor.
If you have InDesign, it can easily be done there, of course.

  • Creating specific image sizes on contact sheets

    From my Photo Collage Toolkit
Photoshop scripting is powerful and I believe this package demonstrates this A video showing a 5 image collage PSD template  being populates with images:
The package includes four simple rules to follow when making Photo Collage Template PSD files so they will be compatible with my Photoshop scripts.
Size the photo collage templates for the print size you want - width, height and print DPI resolution.
Photo collage templates must have a Photoshop background layer. The contents of this layer can be anything.
Photo collage templates must have alpha channels named "Image 1", "Image 2", ... "Image n".
Photo collage templates layers above the background layers must provide transparent areas to let the images that will be placed below them show through.
There are twelve scripts in this package they provide the following functions:
TestCollageTemplate.jsx - Used to test a Photo Collage Template while you are making it with Photoshop.
CollageTemplateBuilder.jsx - Can build Templates compatible with this toolkit's scripts.
LayerToAlphaChan.jsx - Used to convert a Prototype Image Layer stack into a template document.
InteractivePopulateCollage.jsx - Used to interactively populate Any Photo Collage template. Offers most user control inserting pictures and text.
ReplaceCollageImage.jsx - use to replace a populated collage image Smart Object layer with an other image correctly resized and positioned.
ChangeTextSize.jsx - This script can be used to change Image stamps text size when the size used by the populating did not work well.
PopulateCollageTemplate.jsx - Used to Automatically populate a Photo Collage template and leave the populated copy open in Photoshop.
BatchOneImageCollage.jsx - Used to Automatically Batch Populate Collage templates that only have one image inserted. The Collage or Image may be stamped with text.
BatchMultiImageCollage.jsx - Used to Automatically Batch Populate Any Photo Collage template with images in a source image folder. Easier to use than the interactive script. Saved collages can be tweaked.
BatchPicturePackage.jsx - Used to Automatically Batch Populate Any Photo Collage template with an image in a source image folder
PasteImageRoll.jsx - Paste Images into a document to be print on roll paper.
PCTpreferences.jsx - Edit This File to Customize Collage Populating scripts default setting and add your own Layer styles.

  • How to print specific image size?

Hi Gang - how do I print a 11x15" image onto 13x19" photo paper?  At first it seems easy, but things aren't making sense. Here's what I did:
I exported the photo and used the LR image resize dialog area to 11x15" - easy.
I imported the exported image (assuming the image was 11x15") and then went to the LR print area - this is where the confusion begins.
The print tab shows the image dimensions as 8 x10.19 in.  Help, how do I make it the 11x15" I need it to be?
I understand that I'll need to adjust the image to get the portion I want into the 11x15 space, but for now, I can't even get the size to 11x15".
I tried custom package options, but no luck there.
I do have Canon's Print Studio Pro plug-in which works great. Except, once again, I don't know how to instruct it to print the image dimension 11x15" on the 13x19" paper.
Fiddling with settings, I printed a dozen attempts, and still no luck achieving 11x15" image size on the 13x19" paper.  For now, I'm OK with the image getting cut off or other skew - baby steps - I need to learn how to make the image print 11x15" image size.A
    Thanks for offering suggestions.
Screen shot shows my 11x15" image is 8x10.19; I don;t know how to make it 11x15".

Brain: generally intuitive, but need help on this question!

The first step in the Lightroom Print module is to click the Page Setup button, select your printer, and then select the paper size. From your screen shot it looks like the correct paper size hasn't  been selected yet, because you said you wanted to print on 13 x 19 inch paper, but the paper on screen is only 8.5 inches wide. My guess is that Page Setup is still set for US Letter size paper, and that you should go back to Page Setup and change it. After you do that, if your Layout Style is set to Single Image you should be able to set the Cell Size to 11 x 15 inches.

  • Export plugin - forcing specific image size

Hi - I'm trying to change the sample FTP upload plugin so that it does not give the user the option of setting an image size but instead forces a maximum height and maximum width of 675 pixels.  I've figured out how to hide the 'image settings' option in the export dialog but have gotten nowhere with trying to enforce the image size.
I have added this into FtpUploadServiceProvider.lua but it doesn't work:
        updateExportSettings = function( exportSettings )
        exportSettings.LR_size_maxHeight = 675
        exportSettings.LR_size_maxWidth = 675
        end,
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

I found that I had to schedule a new export session in order to have new export parameters take effect - or I least thats what I did and it worked. I have a web plugin that schedules a separate export for each size: thumbnail, + bigger, ... Dunno if there's a better way.

  • Print Images' Contact Sheet problems from specific camera...

I have printed a couple contact sheets (Print Images > Contact Sheet), and all the thumbnails for RAW files from a Panasonic DMC-LX2 all come out squooshed into a square, no matter what the actual orientation of the file is. I have forced an update of the previews and there is no change. Is this a common problem for others? In the preview for printing single images to a page, the images appear normal, but with contact sheets the images from this camera come out square. No problems with my Canon files or other JPGs.
I suspect there is no work-around, but ask just in case. It would be nice if there is, as the contact sheets are for a copyright registration, and the square makes the image possibly illegible in the eyes of a future court, if it ever got to that.

HAs this already been discussed and fixed? hopefully?
It appears to be a bug.

  • Problem with image size, please help!

I have spent the last week editing several photos I took for my cousin of his newborn baby (removing backgrounds/people, editing colours etc etc).
I went to get them printed but the image size is only around 800 x 400 pixles. I checked my original images from my camera and their 4000 x 3000, why are my photos once imported into photoshop suddenly being drastically reduced in size?
Really need some help here as I'm afraid I might have lost a whole weeks work as the images are now too small to get decent prints from.
    Thanks,
    Sacred

The pixel measurements are 3000 x 4000 when taken straight off my camera but for some reason after editing the photo its gone down to 800 x 800, this wouldnt be too much of a problem but its at a density of 300dpi where as the original pictures are at 72dpi.
I've tried my hardest to replicate the problem all afternoon going through the various stages of importing, editing and saving that I normally do and I can't get it to do it again? Really confused as to whats happened, its not the first time though I had the same problem back in 2007 after shooting someones wedding, edited a few of the photos (no cropping) then found the sizes had dropped drastically.
As far as I know I don't have any scripts, actions or image processes set up to do anything on any of my images.
When I open the file I've retouched its gone from a printable measurement of 60 x 40 inches to a printable measurement of 3 x 3 inches, this image has been extensivly cropped (just over half to 3/4) but no where near as small as 3 x 3 printable inches (I'm talking in printable size and not pixles because it can be missleading as saying the size in pixles doest equate to a physical size).
From what I can tell the image has changed size after editing and saving, I only noticed a few days later when I attempted to have the image printed that it had reduced in size so much. Which leads me to believe that the image problem must stem from the way its being saved each time??
Thanks a lot for your help and time guys

  • Setting the image size?

How would I set a specific image size to my photo, not an aspect ratio, but a specific image size such as 8"X9" ? I need this feature when I shoot tethered and have the specific size of a layout to adhere to an want to make sure my crop fits the layout perfectly, Thanks

Jim gave you the RIGHT answer on how Lightroom works with crop size but if you want to see a 8x9 box on the screen you can create an overlay and then you will not have to have the crop tool turned on.

  • Sorting photos by dimensions or image size?

Has anyone heard of or found a way to do this? I have upward of 10000 images and I need to sort out the ones that meet a certain minimum pixel dimension. A smart folder would be sweet.
    Any help is appreciated.

I created some custom Keywords in Preferences>Keywords for specific image sizes, then went through my library and assigned the Keywords to the corresponding images using Photos>Get Info (or Cmd-I). It's time consuming, but you can select multiple images and assign a Keyword to all of them at the same time to speed things up. Once you're done you can create Smart Albums and use the Keywords as criteria. Hope that helps!

  • X6-00 contact image size

    Hello,
does anyone know the image size to use as contact image ?
    Thanks

It used to be (several iPhone releases ago) that photos that were added directly on the iPhone appeared large, and photos that were synced to the iPhone appeared smaller.
I have not seen any update in the past couple of years to know whether this is still true.  But I suggest trying that approach.  Make sure the photos added on your iPhone directly are the most recent updates for those contacts you want to see a large photo for when they call.

  • Print Sharpening for contact sheets?

When I am printing multiple images if I use the single image printing options I can set sharpening parameters in the print dialog. However if I switch to contact sheet printing, to get more than one image on a printed page, I lose the sharpening settings. Is it really impossible to do print sharpening when printing multiple images on a page or am I missing something?
    -Will Rabinovich

A contact sheet doesn't have to be thumbnail size. I often print 2 5x7 s on one 81/2 x11 sheet of paper. The only way to do that in Aperture is with contact sheets or a light table, neither of which seems to have print sharpening

  • Contact sheet printing from iphoto6

How can i make 7 across a contact sheet use the whole width of paper? Alternatively, can i get titles to print on contact sheet in iphoto5? I can get titles and minute images in iphoto6 and 7 across the sheet with no titles in iphoto5.

What are your Edit > Color Settings?
What are the color spaces of the images themselves and of the contact sheet files?
Do you use the same print settings for the individual files and the contact sheets?

  • Printing a contact sheet

Is there any way to print a large group of photos as a contact sheet, or set of contact sheets?
I know you can use Adobe Photoshop and do an automated batch command to create a contact sheet and then print it.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

"Contact Sheets" should be one of the defaults at the top of the settings panel of the print dialog. There are many options, including printing metadata.
Fuller instructions can be found by searching the Help file for "Contact Sheet":

  • Print Different Sizes Images

I use CS5 / 64bit and print on a Epson 3880 printer.  I sell my images at art shows & hops.  I shoot all image in RAW, on a Nikon D80.  I process all images first in CR.  When in CR I do not use the Crop Tool but do use most the other available tools.  I am able to process 80% of images corrections, in CR and the balance in Photoshop CR5.  I sharpen all image with PhotoKit 1.2.  I save all my processed images, in a Master Image (MI) file that can be accessed through Bridge or Photoshop.  The smallest image I sell is a 5x7 and the larges is 17x22.   How do I print different size picture image from the MI and keep resolution between 200 - 300 ppi, one per page to meet the demands for my customers.
    Thanks,

  • How can I use the print module to print different size images on one large "canvas"?

How can I use the print module to print different size images on one large "canvas"? An example would be in Photoshop, go to file>new, and create the size paper I want, and move images of different sizes onto it.
I was thinking the print module would do this automatically for me.

You can't, at present. It's been a requested feature, so we'll see if it shows up in a future version, but it's not there at present.
