Printing duplicate pages

I am encountering duplicate printing using my MacBook Pro to print to a Kyocera 2550ci Multi-function color printer. This is in an office environment. Irrespective of the application I use, I get 7 copies of each page of each document I print. This doesn't happen with other printers, and it doesn't happen on this printer with other mac users (or PC users) on this same printer. If I ctch the print job in the print queue on the printer's configuration screen, I can see that 7 copies are to be printed, and I can reduce the number of copies manually at the printer if I catch the job in time.
Here are the steps I've taken so far.
1. deleted and reinstalled the printer.
2. deleted all other printers and reinstalled the printer.
3. Reset the printing system.
4. Deleted the printer, the printer driver and reinstalled both.
I'm stumped as to what's going on here. There must be some configuration file I can't identify that's causing this, but I can't identify it. Any ideas on how to eliminate this? My only other way of printing is on another printer (same model) that is upstairs.

Thanks, Timothy. I did as you suggest, deleted all of the print.plist files, then deleted and reinstalled the printer. but still get the same result: 7 copies of any document I try to print.
Any more ideas?

Problems with printing a sheet in numbers - duplicates pages

For some reason, numbers is printing duplicates of my spreadsheet. The first sheet should be 9 pages long, but when I put it in print view, there are 27 pages - the 9 and then two copies of them. How do I delete the extra copies? I can't seem to find anything in Inspector and I don't have this problem on the other sheets, although each of the other sheets is only one page long.

You can see how many tables you actually have by examining the Sheets Pane, on the left side of your Numbers window. You will have the Sheet Name and under it, if the disclosure triangle has been clicked, you will have the names of the tables on that sheet. How many are there?
Another way to see how many different tables you have is to temporarily change from Print View to Sheet View. I think that you will now see just one table.
My guess as to why you have repeated displays of the same four columns is that they are Header Columns and are repeating, because you told them to, on each page. In Print View on the leftmost page, you will see columns A, B, C, D and maybe a couple more. On the second page, you will see A, B, C, D and maybe a couple more, but different ones than at the right of the first page.

Then duplicate that button to pages 3-23.
To do that effectively go to Form Edit mode, right-click the button and select Duplicate Across Pages.

How to print last page in smartforms

In my smartform i have 3 pages (FIRST, NEXT & LAST). FIRST contains some header detail and items. NEXT contains rest of items and this page would be repeatable if more item comes. now after NEXT i want to print LAST page. How to achieve this. PLease let me know. According to your scenario you are having 4 orders and each order has to print seperately with the last page .right?
The best soln would be,
1) create another internal table same as the one you have and delete adjacent duplicates using order, so you will have 2 internal table one with 4 orders (it-1)and other with all the items(it-2).

How do I produce a duplicate page, without having spare pages at the end?

I am a basic user, who is currently trialing the adobe acrobat and Livecycle Design programs...
I am practising the preparation of a report which could have an individuals personal details in "page 1" and the report in pages 2-8 for example...
If I wanted to include, lets say, 5 individuals on the same report, is there a way in which I can have a drop down box, which could ask "how many individuals are in this report" and I could select "5" from a drop down box, causing adobe to add additional pages and duplicate page 1 five times.
Or, at the end of page 1, could I have a tick box or any other type of button which could state "If you have another individual, please "tick box/add/etc". Also adding a new page with the blank page 1 format.
At the moment, I have added blank copies of page 1 at the end of the report. The option described would stop me having to print every report I completed with several blank copies of "page 1" when they may not be required.
It also prevents me from completing the report then printing it, reseting the form and printing page 1 for each individual (5 times in my example)

Create PDF Online is a subscription service on Adobe's web site which
only makes PDF files, nothing else, so it won't help you.

Invoice print extra page w/o any data in repetitive area or end of report

I did not use Page Footer and reduced those "hidden fielded" height to 26 with checkmark for Adjust Area Height, but the invoice will print extra page with blank repetitive area and page footer, Report Header and Repetitive Header showed.
How to remove the extra page?
I have another one that do not print the extra page but each page has same Invoice Total, Frt, Tax with Remittance Address that should only show in the last page. I know this is because I put Invoice Total in Page Footer. When I remove Page Footer to End of Report area then I got extra page with no data in repetitive area or end of report.

i think problem be create in Repetetive Area.
Do this in your PLD,
->> Open your PLD and save as a duplicate PLD (Just testing PLD).
->> Right Click in PLD and Choose the Display Hidden Fields in PLD.
->> Reduce the Height of all fields in Repetetive Area, Page Header and End of Reports.
for example,
->> Select all fields including Hidden fields in Repetetive Area & Repetetive Area Footer and
Reduce the Height in General tab on Properties Widnow.
put the Height -> 15 and Font Size -> 10
->> Reduce the Repetetive Area Height and put the Tick mark in Area Height Adjustment in Format Tab.
Try to remove all fieds(including Hidden fields) in Page Footer and Reduce the Height.
ex. Page Footer Height -> 0

Exporting PDF generating duplicate pages

Hi,
I have a crystal report which includes 4 sub reports. The report contains 9 pages. Which is exported to PDF.
It is working fine till last week. Now it is generating around 60 duplicate pages of same content.I am using ASP.NET 1.1 & Crystal Reports 11. Please help me.

I'm having the *exact* same problem as you, and have been searching for over a day for a resolution - nothing!! Not only is all my text jagged (as you illustrated here), my images are as well, and any other "effects". This is ridiculous!
I just recently switched from a Macbook Pro running Snow Leopard, to a new shiny iMac running Mountain Lion. This is when all my problems started... Same Acrobat version, same Pages version.
I've tried Export as PDF, Print to PDF, open them in Preview THEN export as PDF? Open the saved PDF into Illustrator, then re-save as PDF? Nothing fixes it. So I went back to my Macbook Pro, did everything the same (with the SAME document), and it works great. So I can only preclude that it's an issue with Mountain Lion.
I'm panicking here because I have sooooo.... many documents that I've done previously, that I will no doubt need to re-open and edit, then re-save as PDF moving forward. So what am I supposed to do to fix this?

Okay, it's a bit of hack, but standby..
Setup your address (that you want printed) in contacts app
Copy that address
Paste 30 times (or however many labels you have per page)
Select those 30 duplicate entries, and go to print
Viola! (When you are done you can delete the excess entries)

Printer "prints" but page is bland

My hp officejet 6110xi all-in-one seems to be functioning but when it "prints" the page comes out bland. I have tried a hard restart by unplugging the machine while it was on, waiting a minute and then reconnecting. I have also run a HP print diagnosis but it says everything is working - I printed a test page and it too was blank. thanks for your help!

Printing Single Page as 2-UP in Pages

I have printing question. I'm attempting to print from Pages, but the issue I'm having probably applies to printing from any application in OSX.
I want to print a single-page document, two copies per page (2-Up) from Pages. The problem seems to be with the one page-ness of the document. The print dialogue allows for 2 pages per sheet printing, but it only works if your document has more than one page. I need it to pring the same page twice per page.
Is is possible to print this way in OSX Lion?

Duplicate page on hrforms time statement

Hi all,
I have created a Time Statement within HR Forms (using Smartforms) by copying the SAP provided form. But when I execute the form from within ESS I get an extra, duplicate page on the front. It contains the headings and sections with no data. The second page appears correct and contains the data for the employee.
To insure I had not introduced a problem, I copied the delivered form again and only changed minimal config in order to print something. I get the same result.
Has anyone had this problem and what did you do?

Yes, by using a different SAP delivered form to start with. As Barin said above, use the forms ending with 001 or 002. The form I cloned was never meant to be published and contained errors.

How to print 6 pages on A4 landscape

I am designing some tickets in Pages and want to use page numbering for the ticket numbers. I have created a landscape ticket the size of a sixth of an A4 sheet, so you get 2 tickets across and three down. If I choose print 6 pages per sheet, it always shows it as portrait. There seems to be no option to changing the printing page to landscape. I have tried printing to pdf but that seems to reduce the size of the art work. I can get it to print 4 up on A4, but that will increase costs as I intend to print on at least 200gsm paper/card. Has anyone had to do anything similar and managed to crack this problem?

I could duplicate your problem. Then, when I created four pages of A4 landscape tickets in the 2 wide by 3 depth configuration, I was able to get those four pages to print in one A4 landscape, only when I chose 4-up and sized the individual tickets at 129.6 mm by 54.7 mm. I then distributed them vertically with the top and bottom ticket row aligned to the appropriate layout document boundary. Trying this with 6-up resulted in portrait layout.
The caveat is that tickets printed in n-up configuration may be smaller than desired.

A/R Invoice PLD is printing one page extra

Hi all,
We have designed a layout with tax break up for A/R invoice in SAP B1 2007.
It has following sections
Page Header height 348 with Area Height Adjustment Tick Unset
Repetitive Area Header height 12 with Area Height Adjustment Tick Unset
Repetitive Area height 120 with Area Height Adjustment Tick , Hide Repetitive Area If Empty and duplicate repetitive Area set.
Repetitive Area Footer height 12 with Area Height Adjustment , Display Repetitive Area Footer On All Pages Set
Page Footer Height 360 with Area Height Adjustment Tick Unset.
It prints one page extra with blank space in the repetitive area.
Help required.

1020 Prints blank pages

HP printer 1020 Q5911A built in August 2007 fails to print after install. (posted to another solved thread).
I bought a used 1020 (circa 2007 with 2400 pages printed) for some friends. Upon connecting to their Dell desktop, it took off, loaded the USB drivers from window's site, then some drivers from HP's site. Attempts to print cause flashing red and green lights alternately, followed by the printing of a blank page. I tried my laptop but to no avail. I took it home for a more careful analysis which follows:
I have an identical 1020 which I'm very happy with. (circa 2006 with 2400 pages) I downloaded the LJ1018_1020_1022_Full_Solution Original CD install application and the HP Printer Scan Doctor to a thumb drive. By deleting the 1020 printer and reinstalling from scratch, my 1020 prints fine. Connecting my friend's 1020, deleting the 1020 and reinstalling the software, it will not print the test page as requested. Upon re-doing this procedure, I observed that on the first attempt to print the test page, the printer alternately flashes the red and green lights and prints a blank page. Additional attempts to print the test page causes a solid green light and a blank page printed. After several successive attempts to print the test page(5-6), it started printing a document I may have attempted to print much earlier (days). But nothing showed in the queue. It continued to print this document on the next several attempts to print the test page, but I can no longer be duplicate this behavior. This shows that the fuser, etc., is working. (The printed test page by the former owner is what sold me on the purchase.) I installed another toner cartridge, but no change.
I ran the HP Printer Scan Doctor. Everything checks out OK. I'm a retired computer test developer, so I know my way around, but this has me stumped.

Let me clarify. Upon connecting the printer to my friends system, it took off and loaded USB drivers and HP software, but would only print blank pages. One of the pages I chose to print was a scratch document, which appeared to go to the printer with flashing lights on the printer as normal, and I assume it got stored in the printer's memory. By making the printer not-ready (no paper), attempts to print the test page, caused them to show up in the queue. Making the printer ready w/paper caused it to apparently transfer the files to the printer, but they came out blank. (I'm not sure how this works: Does the software in the host construct the test page using data collected during device initialization and send the page to the printer, [which I suspect], or does the printer construct the page on the fly locally and print it?) This was true whether using the Dell desktop or my Lenovo laptop. After deleting the printer and reloading the software on my laptop, the symptoms remained. So I took the printer home to troubleshoot it. Hooking up my printer to my laptop, it would not print until I deleted the printer and reloaded the software. (I take it that there is some data that is specific to the printer that prevents switching printers without reloading the software- perhaps microcode difference. But it appears to download new microcode everytime the software is reloaded. Many years ago I redesigned the Dot Matrix printer tester when IBM went from the 40/80 chars/sec to the 120 cps, so I know that interface, but now everything is intelligent.)
Running the scan tool showed everything working properly, so I assume that its was doing some communications tests as well as some self tests. No !'s.
Having limited visibility to the internals, I just kept trying to run the test page several times. The first page after software reload causes red/green alternately flashing during file transfer, followed by the printing of a blank page. Subsequent attempts printed blank pages, That is untill I kept trying and all of a sudden it started printing the scratch document that I had requested it to print many pages before and over at my friend's house. So it appears that it just kept walking through old memory in the printer and printing whatever it found there, and not the freshly downloaded test page. Wierd! This it continued for 3-4 test pages, probably because I had previously requested it to print the scratch document several times. Like the pointer is not getting (re)set to the correct location in the printer memory after downloading the file.
My laptop runs windows 7. Not sure about my friend Dell, but the symtoms are the same. I appreciate the instructions for a complete uninstall, etc and I will try that. However, I don't have to do that to get it to run my 1020 which is only a year older. I can't imagine they changed the pc card in the printer, tho that could happen. Its like its getting the wrong microcode. How do I interrogate the pc card, or does all that show up on the test page. And can the test page be redirected out of the queue to a file so that it can be examined using document software.
I will download the software and do the procedure as you suggest. However, I hate to do this on my fully functional laptop using my printer. The printer is connected directly to a USB port on the computer.
As a EE, and having the same problem both at my friends house and mine, and with my printer and my friend's printer plugged into the same power strip, I think a power strip problem is remote indeed.
I'll post another reply after I run the HP Printer Install Wizard and report the results.
