Printing e-mail messages only

Does anyone know a way to print only the body of an email message?
I keep getting the "to" and "From" and "subject" fields when I print, even if those fields have not been entered on a new message.
Any ideas?

I tried using Textedit but the message goes from one page to two when you preview it. There must be some special edit characters in the body of the email (it contains text as well as images) that play havoc with textedit's formatting.
Oddly enough, the email prints perfectly except for the to, from and subject fields showing.

Can I print a Mail message without multiple recipient names?

Is there a way to print a Mail message without having also to print the dozens of recipients, where that's the case? I can't see an obvious way, but I'm sure I used to be able to do this. I'd be grateful if anyone knows how.

Printing all Mail Messages

Back-up drive is failing, would like to print all 1400 mail messages, Nothing related in search. How does one print the whole inbox at once.

Select all of the message and choose File > Print. Mail will appear like it will only print one of the message, when in fact it will print all of them.

How Do I Automatically Print Incoming Mail Message

I would like to automatically print selected incoming mail messages. How do I set that up?

Well, I was going to suggest using a mail rule. If you have already tried that I would think that the rule you have created didn't match the messages. I think if you still need help, you will probably need to post some more information about the type of messages you are receiving and the rules you have tried, then someone may be able to assist.
There are many guides to using rules in Apple Mail, I'm assuming you are familiar with them, but if not, Googling "apple mail rules" will bring up some examples.

Printing Apple Mail messages without header

Is there a way to print the body of an Apple Mail message without the header information? I can do a copy paste into Pages and print it from there, but just wondering if there is a faster method. Thanks.

Welcome to Apple's discussion groups.
Until Apple implements the common-sense menu option of View -> Message -> No Headers, you'll have to open Mail's preferences, select the Viewing icon, and set "Show header detail" to "None". Once you've printed the message, you'll probably want to change that setting back to its original value.

Printing a mail message from a preview screen

December 16, 2008 the mail and preview programs were updated on my Mac. Since then, I have not been able to print or preview an email messages. The following alert shows up: Couldn’t open the file. It may be corrupt or a file format that Preview doesn’t recognize. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Any resolutions?

I didn't know you could open email in Preview, much less print it from there. Preview is a graphic file reader, not a text file reader, so AFAIK, you're confusing it's capabilities.

Cannot get mail message only with hotmail

every time I try to read my hotmail i receive this message, everything was working perfectly until a month ago and then I stop receiving push notifications, and isn't syncing with hotmail server
anyone knows any solution to this problem. I even restore my iPhone 4 but it still not working only works with my gmail account

Unless you are accessing your Hotmail account as an Exchange account with the iPhone's Mail app, you've never had Push notifications with your Hotmail account nor synced the account with the Hotmail server. Push access for received messages and syncing server stored mailboxes with the server is supported when accessing the account as an Exchange account only.
Email account settings are included with your iPhone's backup. If there is a problem with the account settings on your iPhone and/or with your iPhone's backup in regards to this particular data, restoring your iPhone with iTunes from your iPhone's backup will also restore the problem putting you right back where you started.
Have you tried deleting and manually recreating the account on your iPhone?

Printer wont print e-mails, says "only prints from aps"

HP 4500 printer worked fine with Windows 7 but new laptop has windows 8.1 and now dosen't want to print from e-mails. Works fine otherwise. I ran the HP Help prgram and software all up to date for windows 8.1

Is the version of the web browser different then before upgrading to Win8.1?

Printing Apple Mail messages: can date headers/footers be printed?

Hi Folks,
When printing an email from Eudora, nice headers & footers are added containing the name of the person printing, as well as the date it was printed, and to whom the printed email was from.
Can headers & footers be added to print jobs from Apple Mail 3.5? I don't see any settings that would enable this functionality.

Actually, because these folks use a shared printer, it's helpful for a header to say who printed it. Then the clerk can put the printed pages into people's mailboxes.
So yes, this is very useful, and not redundant in the least. Eudora and other email clients have this, and it's a shame that Apple Mail does not.

The print font is gigantic when printing gmails only. How do I reset the size of the font when printing a gmail message only.

Only when attempting to print a gmail does this occur, but the print size is so large that it takes 3-4 pieces of paper to print something that should be a short half page. Font must be about a 48 size.

Hi. shldr2thewheeel... I so appreciate the time you have taken to reply to my pleas for help. I think that I need to clarify my problem. But would you reread my previous message in the mean time...I may not be using the correct terminolgy for what I am trying to find out. AndI am sorry for that. This stuff is very confusing for me but I am trying.
I do not have any thing in the trash. I don't even know if I have a trash folder.
#1.I wanted to know if I could have somehow deleted the trash folder ? in my email site?
#2 If it is possible than would this be why I cannot get the messages in inbox to delete to the trash folder?
#3 When I try to delete anything on this computer I get the message on my screen..++++ telling me that whatever it is that I am trying to delete could not be moved to that mailbox because "Deleted messages -mail.comcast.net does not allow messages to moved to it+++++ Doesn't make sense to me and that is why I wanted to know if it was possible that I may have deleted the trash folder under the INBOX , SENT, DRAFTS, and then where the TRASH folder is suppose to be?
#4 Everytime I try to delete anything this message box shows up that tells me what is written in #3 between the +++++ ++++++
It is like there is no trash folder to delete anything to. It this possible that there is not a trash folder because I could have deleted the Trash folder??

I'm having trouble printing Mail messages

I have just started having trouble printing my Mail messages. When I print through the Mail program, only the header (to/ from emails, date received, subject, etc) print out. This seems to be happening only with Gmail messages, but I can't be sure. I think it's new, and I haven't noticed any Mail software updates - then again, I usually just let all of the updates come through so it's possible something changed without me really noticing it.
Any suggestions other than copy and paste into a different application to print? It's kind of frustrating...

This appears to be a Mac OS X 10.4.11 issue caused by pressing <Enter> or <Return> after doing File > Print, but before the Print dialog sheet has been fully displayed. Waiting a couple of seconds to let the Print dialog be fully displayed seems to “fix” the problem.

Printing Mail Message

This seems like it would be a simple thing to do but I just can't see a way to do it.
I want to be able to print an Mail message without also printing the trail of previous emails which are listed in the message. In other words, if I sent a message to you and you replied to it, I only want to print your response and not my original email.
Is there a simple way to do this?
To explain why I want to do this, I have many emails to and from a particular source and I want to ensure I don't miss any. I also don't want to print every thread for every email as this will be a huge duplication.

You might want to consider turning off quoting in the first place...

Omitting quoted text from replies
When you reply to a message, Mail automatically includes all of the text of the original message, or only text you selected, with a quote bar to the left of the text. You can change the settings to omit the original text.
To omit quoted text:
Choose Mail > Preferences and click Composing.
Deselect the “Quote the text of the original message” checkbox.
When you deselect the checkbox, the options in the last section change to apply only to messages you forward.

Contact photos in Yosemite Mail messages don't display

My contacts all have photos and email addresses defined but mail messages only display the "initials" icon instead of their photo. This seems to be happening on both of my Macs and my iOS devices.
Anyone experiencing this found a fix? Thanks in advance.
