Printing Email Attachments

I frequently have to convert Outlook email folders to Adobe to batch print a large volume of emails.  Many of those emails include attachments.  While it is simple enough to print all the emails, I have not found a way to batch print the associated attachments.  I have to open each attachment linked in Adobe individually and print them one at a time.  Is there a way to tell Adobe to print both the email and the associated attachment at the same time?

Hi,
ePrint will default to printing photos from the photo paper tray at 6x4 and documents from the plain paper tray. Unfortunately, eprint via e-mailed content like this is limited to the print options above.
In order to increase flexability in terms of print options, I suggest downloading the HP eprint app and use this to print. Both the printer and device using the eprint app will need to be on the same wifi network for this to work so you won't be able to use it remotely (like with the e-mailed eprint option).

  • Can you automatically print email attachments in Outlook 2013 with a standard "out of the box" rule

I know there is a standard "print it" rule in Outlook 2010 that prints the email not the attachment. I heard that there is a standard rule in Outlook 2013 that prints attachments. Is this true? I have Outlook 2010 currently and am having trouble
with scripts that are suppose to auto print attachments. If this feature is now a standard rule in Outlook 2013 I would upgrade.

    Hi,
Please note, both Outlook 2010 and Outlook 2013 only have the rule with the action "print it", but neither of them has the action to print the attachment. You need to use a macro which prints the attachments of the emails.
Some 3rd-party add-ins may also help.
If you need support on the macro, we can post this question to Office Developers forum:

  • Printing w/ attachments

You indicate that attachments are recognized :
The HP ePrint service will print email attachments for the following file types automatically:
    Microsoft Word
    Microsoft PowerPoint
    Microsoft Outlook
    Microsoft Excel*
    Text files (.txt)
    PDF
Images (bmp, jpg, png, gif, tiff)
*It is strongly recommended that you preview documents in Excel before printing. The HP ePrint service does not support printing web pages via email at this time. HP is currently developing dedicated solutions to support web page printing from mobile devices.Note: PGP encryption, digitally signed documents, and password-protected documents are not supported by ePrint at this time and will not print.
but when I send you an e-mail to my printer with an attachment it bounces back saying:
A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

  • Why does Reader XI download email attachments to my Download folder before I am able to print them?

After last update my Reader XI automatically downloads email attachments (.pdf) to my Downloads folder. I then have to open that file in order to print it.  Before, the attachment would open in Reader and I could print from that direct.

Windows 8, Firefox email client.  What happens is that I click on attachment links in emails, which are .pdf files.  Instead of a menu allowing opening of the file with Reader, the file gets automatically downloaded to my Downloads folder.  I then have to open that folder, click on the file name... then Reader opens and I can view the file as well as print it from the Reader menu.

  • In Mountain Lion, how to print email message without the attachments.

Would like to print only the transmittal part of the email without printing the attachments - tried reply or forward and printing, but still wants to print the attached pdfs.  I know someone out there knows how - help please?

Not sure if this will work, but could try this: select the message then hit Cmd-Shift-S. My thinking is this will save it as a Text Edit document (save it to the Desktop), text only, without the attachment. Then, in Text Edit, select Format>Wrap to Page and print.
EDIT: just checked this with an email with an attachment. Came up as text only, minus the attachment.

  • Adobe reader X prints email PDF attachments as english then oriental

Using Windows XP, IE 8, Adobe Reader X and HP Laserjet 4000 printer.
Sometimes when I print email PDF attachments from Office Outlook 2003, the attachments start printing in English and then subsequent pages turn into an oriental language (not sure which one). If I view the attachment prior to printing all the pages are clearly in English. Other times if I print the item and it is okay (in English), if I reprint it, it may start in English and then goes to the other language.
I have not incurred anything like this in any other printing program that I use such as Word or Excel.
I have no idea why this is happenning. Any ideas what causes this and if so how to correct this?

    Solved it!
    1-go to "edit", select Preferences.
2-select from the left pane: Security (enhanced)
3-click on "add folder path" button just below the big white box
4-pick a folder of your choice and click "ok". (your selected folder path will appear in that white box above the "add folder path" button in step 3)
5-if you want to add additional folders, just repeat steps 3 & 4
6-once you are done, click "ok" on the preferences screen and click "ok" again to accept the changes.
Yes, it seems illogical, but it worked.
I tested by closing the Reader (X), then surfed the web and did what Neher5 was explaining he/she wanted to do just after opening a pdf from a website and lo-and-behold,  it worked!. No more "save to temp folder" issues.
    Hope this helps.

Why do I sometimes receive email attachments in the body of the email and how can I download and print from there?

To save attachments, a couple of options include: (1) control-click on attachment, select "Save Attachment...", (2)  Click on "Show Details" in the upper right corner of the message, which then gives you some attachment functions including "Save".

  • Help! Trying to print emails w/PDF attachments via bluetooth from 8300 to HP OfficeJet8470

Trying to print emails w/PDF attachments via bluetooth from 8300 to HP OfficeJet8470.
My boss shopped for and picked this phone based on the store staff.  He wants to be able to have our service tech be able to receive work orders via email, in the form of a pdf attachment, and be able to print using the bluetooth enabled HP Office Jet 8470, hardware that was sold to him in another store with the statements that it would work with his application.
Everything I have seen on this site, and the lack of information elsewhere, leads me to question if we have the correct applications/hardware at all...
If so, I need to be able to explain clearly to my boss any options that we have, and why or why not it won't work.
Any ideas at all?  Thanks in advance~    Reagan

Your BlackBerry alone won't connect to a Bluetooth printer. Whoever told him that it would should be questioned.
However, there is an application called BeamSuite, that offers a printing solution specifically for PDF documens that you should explore...
Print Documents to a Bluetooth Enabled Printer
    http://www.slgmobile.com/beamsuite.html
BeamSuite is much more than a document viewer though. You can also print your documents directly from your BlackBerry to any Bluetooth enabled printer. Simply pair your BlackBerry device with the printer and print your documents.
If your printer is not Bluetooth enabled, you can still print your documents to it by connecting a Bluetooth printer adapter to your printer that connects to the printer’s USB port. A key differentiator of our solution is that it allows you to easily and transparently print to over 1500 compatible printers from virtually any BlackBerry device, not just the latest and the most powerful BlackBerry.

  • Since switching from Chrome, I can't print .pdf attachments directly from my gmail. Please help.

It used to be (in Chrome) that I could view a .pdf attachment in gmail and from there print. Now in Firefox, when I view a .pdf attachment the print option is there and the print dialogue box comes up when I click it, but once I hit "OK" nothing comes out of the printer. I can print emails and other items, so it's not a printer connectivity problem or a problem with the print setup in Firefox. The only items affected are .pdf attachments in my gmail account. I've tried switching .pdf readers and turning off Protected Mode in Adobe. Please help!

  • Trouble Printing PDF Attachments in Outlook as "Fit to Printable Area"

If this has been discussed before, I apologize. I wasn't able to find the exact problem...
We use Outlook 2007 and Reader X here in my office. When we try to print an email w/ a PDF attachment, the attachment is not printing as "Fit to Printable Area," resulting in very tiny printed PDFs. If we open the PDF on its own, "Fit to Printable Area" is selected by default and the attachment prints as it should. The weird thing is... this is only a problem for some users. For others, the attachments always print as "Fit to Printable Area," even when printed at the same time as the email. Is there some kind of default setting for "Fit to Printable Area" that specifically applies to PDF email attachments? Is there some other reason why this problem only affects some users? Everyone is using Windows XP and we're all going to the same printer.
    Thanks!
EDIT: Does any one have any ideas on this at all? Thanks again.

In the past, I have overriden the Print dialog with my own dialog..
I've called the print function with param5 = true

  • PDFs not opening online or in email attachments

Recently my MacBook Air (OS 10.7.5), my iPad, and my iPhone have not been consistently opening PDF files, either from the Internet  (informational downloads from a website, for instance) or email attachments, some of which have previously opened successful.  Oddly enough, my MacBook Pro (also 10.7.5) will open some of the files that the other devices don't, but not all of them.  We have tried updating the newest Adobe Reader, renaming the files, printing as a PDF…nothing has worked.  Any tips?

Right click on the PDF in your browser and select Save Link As to download the PDF file locally. Then,
    1.       In your web browser, choose File > Open (or Open File).
    2.       (Windows only) From the Files Of Type menu, choose All Files.
    3.       Click Browse.
    4.       Select the PDF you have saved previously, and then click Open to open the PDF. If Acrobat or Adobe Reader displays the file but doesn't display it on the web, the web server has a problem serving the PDF file. Contact the webmaster of the site from which you downloaded the PDF file.
