Printing Error: A few characters + MANY blank pages

Windows 7 Professional
Thunderbird: 24.3.0
Every time I print from Thunderbird only a few characters print out, then MANY blank pages.
Print preview appears fine on screen.
Printing to PDF Creator from Thunderbird IS FINE.
Printing is PERFECT from all other applications.
Reset 'print_printer' to default in Config Editor. -> no joy

Replacing the printer driver (HP Laserjet 4 Plus) DOES correct the problem when printing email messages with Thunderbird 31.1.0. However, the next time I print a message - in a separate session - sometimes days apart, the problem reoccurs and I need to replace the driver - again.
As originally stated, all files related to other applications print just fine, without replacing the printer driver.
Any idea why the reoccurring, discordant relationship between Thunderbird and the printer driver???

Print priview is proper but resulting blank page .

I am new to Adobe forms,
We have designed a form of size (1X4) inch size. we have placed all our elements in the subform(design view) ,content of the sub form is positioned.In the pagination , we have choosed Overflow as 'Go To Content Area',In binding we enabled checkbox 'Repeat subform for Each Data Item'. The print preview out put of the form is proper means 'page is getting breaked and going to the next page' But when we print it , 1st page is printed and the second page it left as blank, in the third page it printed the second page content again blank page after it. I can say it is printing a blank page after every page it is printed.
we dont want any blank page between the pages. why is it showing properly with the print preview and not proper when we print it.
we are using ZEBRA printers.
Please suggest us some thing here.

Printing from firefox spits out extra blank page

When I print from Firefox my printer firsts spits out a blank page before printing what was expected.

I have a similar issue -- a page before is printed and after the actual document.
yes -- the blank page appears in preview. I was able to get rid of the first one with this CSS:
@media print {
body * { float: none !important; }
But I still get the blank page afterwards.
Not sure why, but I'll let you know if I find anything else

Too many blank page

Hi All,
I created a report that consists of only a crosstab. When I check the report in Preview mode, I see lots of blank page..
Actual report is 1 or 2 pages, but in the navigation toolbar, i see about 700 pages!
Why it is like that and how can I remove those blank pages?

Printing to PDF from CrystalReportViewing returns blank page

Hi All,
   I have a web report that I run. When the report generates in the CrystalReportViewer I see my results. However, if I click the button to Print to PDF, it results in a PDF with no data. If I click on the Next button as well to go to the next page in my report, it returns blank results.
This apparently started happening when I used date parameters being passed to my stored procedure:
        parameterField = report.ParameterFields("@callstdate")
        parameterField2 = report.ParameterFields("@callendate")
I'm using VS 2008 and CR2008.
Any ideas why this is happening?

1)Any export type I use returns no data on the exported report
2)Changed PDF to ActiveX and it printed the report with no data
3)Remove parameters from my webapp and let the Viewer prompt for them. Now PDF works and everything else.

SmartForms Printing Error for Japanese Characters

Hi,
I have an issue with Printing Japanese Characters in the SmartForm.
When I Print Preview the smartform I can see the characters in Japanese but when I Print the actual smartform in the printer, all I get is some junk characters like # and !.
I have the following setting in the smartform.
   Multi-Byte functionality enabled
   Character set used is Shift JIS
   Smartform created in language EN
   Translate to All Languages set to true
   No restriction on Language Control
   Smartstyles used has JPMINCHO fonts only
   Default Para is JPMINCHO
   Characters formatting has explicit JPMINCHO as font
   Login language is JA
   Printer is Local Printer with device type JPSAPWIN
When I debug the Smartform function module, the OTF Data Table (within the function) shows characters in Japanese (with codepage 8000) but then I look at the actual spool as a result of processing the function, it comes up as garbled.
Interestingly, I have exactly the same settings on another test smartform to print just 2 columns and it works well.
Not sure where I am going wrong.

has anyone solved this problem? even i m facing the problem. me restating the problem as below:
in VF02 transaction, for billing document we are trying to print smartform. Our logon languagae is EN and the Output Type langugae is EN. In spool, we are getting the CORRECT format ie the texts that are maintained in Japanese are showing as Japanese characters while the whole smartform is in English format.
Our requirement is to PRINT (from printer) the texts that are maintained in Japanese should get printed in Japanese format. I know that this is problem with printer settings. The printer is printing perfectly fine as other documents in Japanese characters so its ensured that printer is enabled for Japanese.
I suppose some kind of setting needs to be done at SAP end so that printer recognises double-byte character set of Japanese.
Waiting for confirmation/ solution.

M1319F MFP printing errors - line on right side of page

I've had HP LaserJet M1319f MFP about 1.5 yrs. Last week, it began putting a page-length, thin line on right side of every copy. Line is slanted, about 1/4" from the side, and gradually becoming 1/2" from the side at the bottom of an 8 1/2 x 11 pg. I ran pre-moistened laser printer cleaning paper through, same line on the cleaning paper. I cleaned the scanner glass inside. I removed the brand-new genuine HP laser toner cartridge,I cleaned it, reinserted the cartridge, made a copy, same line appeared on paper. I removed the cartridge and replaced with a new cartridge. I made a copy, same thin line appeared on copy. This happens with copies only, not with scans or printouts.

What browser are you using? Try downloading a PDF if one is available, or try printing from XCode's Deveoper Documentation window.

I am unable to print from Firefox 20. Am running Mac 10.6. Print preview will show no content/blank page. Thanks.

If you cannot see any content on pages you printed or in print preview, the cause might be margins which are set too high.
#In order to check the margins, we need to go to ''File'' > ''Page Setup''.
#Once this is done, switch to the ''Margins & Header/Footer'' tab.
#Check what's set there under ''Margins''.
The following are the default values for ''Margins'':

After a crash, when Firefox is restored, I get many blank pages opening, in addition to the correct page. It takes a while to close them all.

The new version of Firefox also seems to be crashing more than the old.

Set the pref [http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes] to 0 on the about:config page to get the about:sessionrestore page immediately with the first restart after a crash has occurred or the Task Manager was used to close Firefox.
That will allow you to deselect the tab(s) that you do not want to reopen, but will allow to reopen the other tabs.

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

Print blank pages befor content starts

Hi,
While printing html through content editor web part. It prints blank pages before content starts.
I have images in my html document.
When I set the width of img to 400 px it works fine..
but if I say width:100% it prints so many blank pages extra before content starts.
Anybody has any idea?

Hi,
In HTML 4.01, the width could be defined in pixels or in % of the containing element. In HTML5, the value must be in pixels. Please check whether the image in a html5 page.

Blank page sent to my printer..Print Preview shows my page as a .pdf (On Mac OS 10.5.8)

A blank page is sent to the printer. When I view the text page in Print Preview, the page is blank and it is a .pdf. The print feature works fine with other browsers. This suddenly occurred. One minute I was able to print...the next minute blank pages print. I have tried two different printers and both experience the same problem on Firefox. The plug-ins are up to date.

Slow down a bit and think this through.
CUPS on linux is nearly identical to CUPS on OS X - but there is no Mac-to-Mac Apple proprietary print sharing. Rather, on linux you are sharing the printer using standard printing protocols. Just like on the Mac (when using the standard protocols like Windows/SMB or IP printing), linux print queues expect postscript input. Try using a generic postscript driver from the mac.
And when you add the printer via Windows Printing or IP > LPD or IPP, you will need to know the queue name for that printer from the linux box. (one computer with one IP address can have multiple printers - so what's the additional address info to print to your desired printer? - queue name.)

Not able to make any other selection. Display of print que shows 8 pages to print. One page of image is printed,

If you are printing from the web, you may experience a cut off depending on how the page was formatted.
To resolve this issue, please check to see if a 'Print' option is available inside or around the article or email you wish to print. This should properly format the page for printing.
If you continue to have difficulties, please copy the text and then paste it into your desired word processing program for printing.

SAP is printing extra blank page

When i print from windows server/print server/host printer the print is normal but when i print from SAP application an extra blank page is created. Please share solution if anyone have come across similar/same issue.

Thanks for your support and patience. The issue has been resolved. Please find the Solution below:
The TCP/IP printer’s network settings by typing in the printer’s IP address in your windows internet explorer.
When connecting to the printer’s IP address: on internet explorer, you able to see the printer’s configuration settings. By clicking on the configuration link on the left menu and selecting the “Networking” Tab, at the bottom of the screen there is an option for ‘LPD Banner Page.’ The current setting for this option is ‘enable.’ the LPD option is set to ‘enable’ by default. Therefore, this option needs to be manually ‘disabled’ after the printer is set up
