Printing for Windows

I need to print PDF files from the operating system, but I need to send them to a specific printer tray,
How can I do this?
The only thing I have found is:
C:\acrord32.exe /t file printer

You can setup a new printer with the specific printer tray as default and use this printer.

The terse version of the answer would have been "You can't.". The detailed answer is something like the following: HP Smart Web Printing was an add-in supported on versions of IE6-IE8 and at one time on Firefox 3.5. Some time ago this application was retired and replaced with HP Smart Printing. Smart Web Printing (currently) requires IE6 - IE9 and it also requires the Bing bar. There are third party applications that may meet your requirements, but for HP Smart Printing you will need to install the Bing bar. A Google search may turn up some alternatives.

Can't find driver for my hp photosmart 7660 printer for windows 7

Hello, I want a driver(hp photosmart 7660) for my laptop I wouldn't like to change my printer. I tried the steps another guy asked for the same printer but for windows 8 and it didn't worked. I couldn't find the 1st printer hp deskjet plc3 or something and the others didn't work.Please if anyone can help me I would appreciate it.

Although a driver for Windows 7 is not avaialble, you may install an Alternative driver by using the Deskjet 5600 model.

Error of Photosmart C4580 Wireless printing for windows 7

I installed the windows 7 updated driver which download from hp website. After installing, the printer only print half page, not whole page through wireless printing. I also discovered that the windows xp is fully printing whole page through wireless printing, how to slove the problem when i use eindow 7 through wireless printing?
OS: Windows 7 -64 bit
Dirver: Dowload from hp website

How can this be a firewall issue when it prints all the other pages just cuts off half the last page printed?
I have the issue on two of my windows 7 laptops, dell inspiron and hp mini, when I print wirelessly to my hp photosmart c4580 it will print all the pages fine, except for the last page to come out the printer which is half a page.

Had the same problem, got it working by using Photosmart 8200 driver. You have to go to add a printer, select Dot4 USB for the port, and then pick the 8200 driver from the list that Windows 7 ships with. Once you do, it just works. My test page printed on the first try. HP could make this a *lot* easier for everyone, but I guess they are in the business of selling more printers.

Printer for Windows 98 OS

Please suggest a professional series deskjet printer which can be attached to a pc having windows 98 OS. Also the driver location for the same.

The Deskjet 895 or any of the Deskjet 900 series printers (Deskjet 970, 990, 995, 950, 952 for example) would work under Windows 98. Drivers are no longer available from HP due to licensing restrictions from Microsoft but you may find a used printer with the original discs or find the drivers in a Google Search. I do not know of any printers currently being sold that support Windows 98.
There are various security issues in Windows 98 and this OS is not longer supported by Microsoft.

Like to order physical cd for hp photosmart all in one 2575 printer for windows vista pls.

i have got this printer and using it by downloading software online but like to order physical cd which will be easier for me to use rather than downloading every 3 months. and registering online which can be a bit of pain. how much would it be in nz dollars.

I just checked the NZ Software and Driver page, where CD purchases can also be made, and was unable to find an option to be able to purchase a disc online. I would advise giving the NZ HP Tech Support a call to see if a CD is available for your region.

Need a driver for DeskJet 812c printer for windows 7(64bit)

When I connect the printer to my acer laptop, the driver does not load automatically.
Windows solution is to manually load the driver. HP says they don't have a

The driver comes with Windows 7, you may have to Windows Update when running the add printer option.

I am kind of done with this Printer ! lost hope in customer care and support hit with HP ! from Past 10 days searching a software to scan few doc from my printer 1210 (HP PSC 1210 All-in-One Printer) but i dint find.... i got one from some source (166 Mb) file, but to my surprise its not compatable with Windows 7. i am totally depressed now.... Please help me to find software for this (scanner document) I have lost the CD lont time back can i download This some where?

I understand you're looking for drivers for your PSC 1210 on Windows 7. I will certainly do my best to guide you in this issue.
At this time there are no HP drivers available for this printer for Windows 7. You can still use the printer with Windows 7, you will just have to use the drivers available within Windows 7. That document will walk you through what you need to do in order to get printing again, and will also show you how to scan with this Windows driver.

HP Deskjet 6540 drivers for Windows 7

We have recently upgraded from XP to Windows 7. We have followed all of the instructions on disconnecting and reconnecting the usb cables and trying to let Windows 7 detect and install the drivers but no success. We tried installing the Windows updates and that did not solve the problem either. Finally, we went into the devices & printers and add printer, and select HP but there are no drivers for the 6500 series. We even inserted the Windows 7 disk and clicked on "HAVE DISK" and tried to find it on the Windows 7 but nothing. Has any gotten this to install correctly or is there somewhere I can just download the drivers for this printer for Windows 7?

What exactly is the issue you are having? Did you install the Windows Update driver as I described above? Running the driver install wazard at http://www.hp.com/go/tools may help resolve the issue.

How to Screen Print from Windows 7 in Bootcamp Without "Fn" Key ?

Dear Friends,
For GIS software, I have Windows 7 on my Imac 7, which uses Mac OS X 10.6.8. All of the information which I have found on the Internet about doing a screen print for Windows 7 in Bootcamp on this operating system state that 1. pressing Fn + F11 prints the screen and 2. Option+Fn+F11 prints the active window. Unfortunately, the two Mac keyboards, which I have, do not have a "Fn" key.
Is there anyway to do a screen print without a "fn" key on a person's keyboard? If so, how does a person do it?
Any answers that can be provided for the above questions will be greatly appreciated.

You should ask Windows questions in the Windows forums. But here is an answer: In Windows using these keystrokes, Start > All Programs > Snipping tool.

Is there a replacement for Photosmart Premier photo editor for Windows 8 ?

I just upgraded to Windows 8 with a new HP computer but I have lost a fabulous photo editor Photosmart Premier. The drivers on my OEM cd would not install so I have downloaded all the drivers for my C4680 colour printer for Windows 8 but Photosmart was not included. Is it called something else now and I have just missed it? Thanx for your consideration. SB

Hi SnowBird43x80. It does appear the HP Photosmart Premier photo editor is not available for Windows 8.
The replacement software is called HP Photo Creations and is available here:

Just tried 5L, same error. I've also tried HPs universal print driver, and various other similar models, all with the same error. But I read that Windows 7 is simply not supporting those older printers anymore. So what's a guy to do?
