Printing forms imbedded in web page

Hi All,
This is my first post, and I need some help.
HP Officejet 8615
Several doctors and dentists have embedded forms on their web page for new patients to complete.  I can't get these forms to print.
I have tried printing the form from the web page = unsuccessful.
I have tried saving the form to my desktop and printing it = unsuccessful
I have run the HP diagnostics and successfully printed a test page.
My computer:
Windows 7 Pro 64-bit with SP1
3.00 gigahertz Intel Pentium G3220 Processor
6 GB RAM
Adobe Acrobat 9.0 Standard, updated
All MS Security updates installed. Kaspersky Anti- Virus installed. Updated, returns clean scans.
Malwarebytes Pro up dated and returns clean scans.
I have no problems with my computer or printer, except I can’t get these embedded forms to print.
Any Suggestions?
Thanks in advance,

Ideas and thoughts on the subject...
You mentioned the word "Acrobat" -- this makes me think you are dealing with a PDF form??
PDF format can be tricky.  Forms that look OK may or may not actually be something the printer can translate into printer language and spit out as actual print on a page.
You could try printing the PDF file as in Image -- this is a tried and true method of printing out PDF files that may be stubborn and won't otherwise print.  See below...
Things that are PDF:
PDF file will not print
Quick fix | Print PDF as image | Acrobat, Reader
PDF file will not print (2)
Check your PDF viewer in your browser > Options
Example
Firefox > Tools > Options > Applications >
Portable Document Format (PDF) >> select Use Adobe Reader
Adobe Reader Download
===================================================
If you get desperate, and you can SEE the form you need on the screen, you can use Snip to grab a screen shot of the form, save the file as an Image, and print that.
Snipping Tool - Windows 7
Snipping Tool- Windows 8.x

If you can get the saved form, whatever the format, into a Word file and then perhaps save that Word file into a new PDF file -- and maybe use Word's embedded font feature -- then you might be able get the file to print.

  • Since latest upgrade I cannot "print" or show "print preview" from any web page. This is true of both of my printers and I have followed directions on plug-ins and have reinstalled Firefox etc. I am about ready to switch to Internet Explorer! w

    Since upgrading Firefox, it doesn't respond when I click on print and/or print preview while displaying web pages.. No error message, just no response. I tried using both my printers..a HP and a Canon and get no results with either. I have no problem printing from any other place (including "Print" instructions within web pages, usually). I have recently upgraded my desktop (Dell Vostro 220) to Windows 7 and it went smoothly. The Firefox upgrade came at about the same time, so I don't know if Windows 7 is part of the problem. I need be able to print from the screen of web pages!

    Hi jjoyceeric,
    Have you looked at the Knowledge Base article [[Firefox prints incorrectly]]? There is some good troubleshooting information in there. I would suggest that you try resetting your print settings.
    Hopefully this helps!

  • Acrobat Pro 9.5.4 Update causes PDF to print more like a web page

    Something changed from 9.5.3 to 9.5.4 such that PDFs opened within a browser (FireFox) now print more like a web page.  This has caused several issues.
    1. Printing now uses the header/footer printing preferences of the browser.  All PDF's I print from within the browser print with the URL in the upper right, time/date in the lower right and all the other header/footer preferences in the browser.  This was never the case before.
    2. Font sizes and text location are different.  We print checks, invoices from PDF's generated within our business system.  These are now misaligned compared to what they have been because of this change.
    It's possible this is related to a browser update but I haven't pinned this down yet.  I'm using Firefox 19.0, Windows 7, 32 bit.
    Any insights are appreciated.

    Hi,
    This is not happening because of Acrobat update but the reason for this change is that Firefox 19.0 has introduced  its own Javascript PDF viewer.
    You can change the settings in browser to use Acrobat plugin for viewing PDF files. Go to Options->Application to chnage the settings, please see attached screenshot for more details.
    Hope this solves your problem.
    Thanks.

  • Why can I not print anything from a web page?

    Why can I not print anything from a web page?

    Thank you, but I still haven't solved my problem. I tried the reset suggestion. But I cannot find print.print_printer preference. Maybe the word "printer" is to be replaced with the name of my printer. But because of the warning that making any changes is a very dangerous thing to do, I hesitated to do anything.
    I have located the Print to file option, but it is not checked.
    This problem did not exist before the Firefox update of about 6 months ago. Today I downloaded the latest Firefox update, hoping that would solve my problem, but it did not.
    Thank you for your continued assistance.

  • Problem creating a PDF from the "print view" of a web page

    When creating a PDF from the "print view" of a web page, the features in the print dialog box overlap. When the PDF is created, the words are garbled. e.g. words apppear as jzhhhxxf or zxihcj.

    Use a job settings that embeds the fonts. If you look at the PDF, the font properties probably do not look correct and don't include embedded fonts. Also, set the printer to Adobe PDF before you try to do a print, so that the web page can try to properly adjust to the printer.
    Why not just try opening the web site directly in Acrobat?

    I'm having trouble finding a product for the HP 4550 all-in-one.  I can find an HP 4550 laserjet and an HP Photosmart c4500 series printers.  Can you provide more detail about the product?
    Looking at your post and the fact that the shadow appeared after you replaced the black cartridge, I wonder if this is caused because your cartridges aren't aligned.  If your product has a LCD screen, look for an option to align your cartridges - likely under 'tools' or something like that in the menu.  Try aligning the cartridges and see if that helps.
    If you can provide some more details about your product, I could point you to more detailed alignment steps.

  • Unkown failure when submitting a form to PHP web page

    Hello.
    I've been having a following issue when using Adobe Reader X version 10.1.3.23 and the newest version.
    An error occurred during submit process. Unkown failure.
    This happens when the document is receiving data from web page.
    Following javascript is behind the submit button:
    this.submitForm({
    cURL: "http://path.to.url/index.php",
    cSubmitAs: "XFDF" // the default, not needed here
    In the web page there is a script that processes the data and after that it sends pdf document to the user that has submitted the form:
    header('Content-type: application/pdf');
    header('Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="confirmation.pdf"');
    readfile('confirmation.pdf');
    The problem only occurs on some computers i've tried this form. I have no idea why this is happening. Any ideas?

    The submit button is in the PDF file.

  • How to send Parameters FORM to PHP WEB Page with method POST (secure)?

    Hello everyone,
    i hope someone can help me to find a solution to this problem!
    i have to send "+precious+" parameters from an oracle form to php page, like username and password, with a secure method... i tried with WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT procedure but it uses GET Method and when the web page open up you can read those parameters in the url...no good!
    some suggestion?
    Thank a lot in advance... FMicio

    The other way you have is to make a PJC java bean ...
    which uses HTTPClient library..
    for example:
    PostMethod post = new PostMethod("http://jakarata.apache.org/");
            NameValuePair[] data = {
              new NameValuePair("user", "joe"),
              new NameValuePair("password", "bloggs")
            post.setRequestBody(data);
            // execute method and handle any error responses.
            InputStream in = post.getResponseBodyAsStream();
            // handle response.I have done a multipart form data post to upload files to my db over httpClient.. and other things...
    Or with java.net.* api-s
    try {
        // Construct data
        String data = URLEncoder.encode("key1", "UTF-8") + "=" + URLEncoder.encode("value1", "UTF-8");
        data += "&" + URLEncoder.encode("key2", "UTF-8") + "=" + URLEncoder.encode("value2", "UTF-8");
        // Send data
        URL url = new URL("http://hostname:80/cgi");
        URLConnection conn = url.openConnection();
        conn.setDoOutput(true);
        OutputStreamWriter wr = new OutputStreamWriter(conn.getOutputStream());
        wr.write(data);
        wr.flush();
        // Get the response
        BufferedReader rd = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(conn.getInputStream()));
        String line;
        while ((line = rd.readLine()) != null) {
            // Process line...
        wr.close();
        rd.close();
    } catch (Exception e) {
    }Or you can call your web page (post data) from your database

  • Printing problem with my web pages

    Hi all-
    I noticed a funny problem with one of my web pages. When I go to print, it only prints one page length of a webpage that should be two pages long (assuming you choose the shrink width to fit one page wide option in your print command).
    I post messages with training schedules and people sometimes want to print the page, I'm not looking for pdf or anything, just a simple print the whole web page. When I print, the second half of the webpage comes out blank. I tried saving at a pdf from the print window, and the same thing happens.
    The page I'm trying to print out is at:
    http://web.mac.com/gdefrancis/FSNordic/FSTeam_News/Entries/2008/12/22_JNT_Holiday_Training_and_PracticeSchedule.html
    Note that is stops printing (or leaves a pdf converted from the webpage blank) after the 12.21 entry.
    any suggestions?
    thanks!

  • Yahoo is my home page and now that I have downloaded your latest version, as stated in a note from you the tool bar is incompatible. So....how do I print or save a web page if I don't have my tool bar!! I'm not happy with this - please help.

    You've moved stuff around so the tabs are at the top instead of my tool bar. I no longer have the means then to copy and paste, print, etc. when I pull up information I might want to keep from a web page. When I downloaded Version 4 a message came across from Firefox that the newer version is not compatible with the Yahoo toolbar. How then do I operate these functions? I'm not a techie, and was happy with my old Firefox. Not a happy camper now. Can you help???

    iPHP
    Wow! You know, I tried a variation of that, which was a complete guess, and of course it was absolutely wrong.
    I had no idea you could stack DATE_FORMAT one after the other! I researched this for a LONG time and nothing came up like what you suggested, so thank you for this! I hope that this thread helps others who are or will soon be in my shoes. This forum is the BEST!!!
    And of course, it works like a charm. Thank you.
    Many incredibly sincere thanks,

  • Embedding a fill in form on a web page

    I have a personal survey form, (multiple choice and fill-in only) on my web site. I use a commercial web form building site. The submit button sends results viewed by going to their site only. I'd prefer the form be emailed to me. To that end I need to learn how to generate code (ideally from templates or existing modules) specific to my needs which I can then embed on my web site. What are good help/support sites of experienced web builders to get ideas and resources for this project?
    Can you suggest any simple database applications that will generate code for such a personal survey form to embed on a web page? Is this doable in HTML or needs be CSS or time for Java or Flash? I want to keep it simple.

    Hi Harmz,
    Google for it ... you best know where you looking for and what you want.

    Hi,
    To work around this problem, follow these steps:
    Click Start, point to Programs, and then click Windows Explorer.
    On the View menu, click Folder Options, and then click the File Types tab.
    In the Registered File Types box, click each file type one at a time, and then view the file extension under "File type details."
    If the file extension is TMP, click Remove, and then click OK.

  • Brothers 5070N won't print some pdf and web pages

    Every once in a while my Brothers printer just will not print pdfs or Web pages. One of the more frustrating culprets is Mapquest. I get a small grey box with some random error codes. Is the answer more memory? I have not added any memory since buying this normally great little printer a few years back.

    Is there anything in Concole or the CUPS log (/var/log/cups/error_log)? It could be a font problem, but one of the places above should have some indication.
    Hope this helps.

  • Printing part of a web page in Safari

    Hi. Is there a way I can highlight part of a web page and print just that part? I'm new to Macs I have only had my new Mac for less than one week!

    You can download and install Print Selection Service and that should solve your problem.
