Printing from email

I'm trying to print a picture from my email onto regular letter size paper, but it will only try to print the photo onto 4x6 photo paper.

Are you printing from a mobile device or windows laptop/PC?
If you're printing using windows then you should select the main tray for the paper source rather than "automatically select". You'll also neeed to designate letter as the paper size. Plase see the example below:
"Although I work for HP, I'm speaking for myself and not on behalf of HP"

  • When I go to file then print - nothing happens. I can print from email (yahoo) and I can print from any other program on my computer but not from Firefox. Why?

I cannot get the print menu to work in Firefox. I have no trouble printing from anywhere else on my computer. I go to file and the click on either print or print preview and nothing happens - no window of even an error message appear.

    Hi MollyPhloot07,
I'm glad you found the coupons.com app and you might also want to take a look at the GroceryIQ app from the same company.  Please note that at this time, printing is only support from iPad to HP wireless inkjet printer.  That's most likely the reason why your Canon isn't displaying when attempting to print.  The other way to go might be emailing the coupons you want to your email address, then open that email and print from a conventional desktop or laptop computer.
    Hope this helps!

  • HT4356 Blank page when printing from email

I just got and set up Epson NX 430. It is AirPrint printer and is printing from both iPhone and iPad.
Seems to be fine except when printing except from email. Then it always feeds a blank page first then prints the email. I can't figure out how to stop it from feeding blank page.
I contacted Epson and they say it is an AirPrint issue and I have to contact Apple for that.
Anyone else having same issue and any ideas of how to fix or stop the blank page?

In the Print dialog, select Open PDF in Preview from the PDF menu in the lower left corner. Is the print preview blank?

  • Pages printed from email come out garbled or in code--how to fix?

When I use my printer to print from windows programs, it is fine. When I try to print from an email program, the copy is overprinted and random, as if in some sort of code.

Probably related to this outstanding Bug. <br />

Based upon this comment - https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=454532#c117 - it looks like a fix might be coming in Firefox 8.0.

  • Print from email

I have an iPad first generation.  I would like to print an email as an exact copy of the original one into a PDF savable copy within my iPad.  On my desktop I have Paperport software that lists a printer labeled Paperport printer that prints a digital copy of that email or any document for that matter into a savable PDF document.  I want to do this on my iPad.  How?  Do I need a special app?

Thank you so very much for your help in this issue!  You are right about the business sector wanting this.  I am a physician with hundreds of digital pages in the PDF format. These were obtained through the digital pdf print selection associated with the paperport software.  I contacted nuance with Paperport and they do not have a product for the iPad that would do this.
I just purchased the iPad and love it.  I want to switch from my laptop to the iPad, but this is the stumbling block.  I have purchased a few of the apps at about $10 without success.
Do you have any Thoughts, ideas, etc.?  I really need help with this issue and I cannot imagine that I am the only one wanting this type of product.

  • Why all of the sudden will not print from email or phone - no problems before

I have had no problems with my new web enabled printer from day one. Infact I fell in love with it. I haven't printed anything on it for a few days now and all of the sudden it won't print. I am connected to the internet and it shows being online but nothing. Can't print emails or phono's from my phone. I have double checked everything and it won't work.

I forgot to mention - according to my emails and the notice I recieved it says the mail has been delivered to my printer and it is waiting to print.

  • Unable to print from email program

Have a  HP7780 which is not on the MAC list but does allow me to print photos, web pages and contacts from the PrinterShare App.   What I am trying to do is print from my iPad email prgram.  I go to Print, Printer Options but no printer is found.  Don't understand as my MacBook has not problem recognizing and printing.  I don't see any place in the settings where we can try and fix this by manually providing an IP address or defining what model it is. Is there a better Print App for my iPad or other solution?

    Hi there,
Currently, only certain printers support printing from iPad using the native print function. Your printer must have AirPrint built in to do so. Not many do at the moment, and I am pretty sure yours does not. You can see the supported printers at a link I have posted below. Of course there are many 3rd party apps, which can print like PrinterShare, but this cannot print mail. Sorry!

  • On firfox 3.6, I had the ability to print from emails. I can't find anything to click on in order to print, where is the word print?

There used to be words at the top, like file, edit etc. They are now gone and i can't locate anything that will let me print an email message.

The print function is still there. Click the big orange Firefox button in the top left corner to find the print function.
To temporarily get the File, Edit, etc menu entries back, press the Alt button on your keyboard. They are hidden by default to save space.

  • I Cannot print from emails on an HP L7590. Do you have a fix for this

Since I upgraded to 5.0 I cannot print emails from firefox. When I then go to windows I can print as before. I get a message indicating that my printer is not connected .

Thank you for your help. It didn't occur to me that Firefox would not automatically use my default printer. Your suggestion helped me to think about that and when I went to printer, it had the wrong printer designated. So it did help. I could not find the links you mentioned in your help

  • Pdf file increases when printing from email attachment

We are using Windows XP and acrobat 7.0 professional. We are receiving files with a PDF attachment which is only about 1 MB When we send to the printer it then says the file is now approx 36mb and therefore crashes the printer and we can't print the file. Some of these files have images others don't but have the same problem. We are receiving them from at least 2 different companies - unknown what system they are using. How can we get around this

Are you printing to a PCL or PostScript device? If you have a choice, try
both and see if one works. You also might try using the "Print as image"

  • This is a hint to anyone who cannot find their airprint printer from their ipad:  after 10 hours of trying everything imaginable, i can now print directly from my iPad by turning off the bluetooth in settings and waiting for 30 seconds.  presto!

after spending a full day and a half trying everything imaginable, i finally found a way to get my ipad to find my new airprint capable  printer.  I could print from email or the cloud, but not directly from my ipad.  After reading a discussion about bluetooth printers, i turned off bluetooth in settings, waited 30 seconds, and voila!!  I was able to print directly from my ipad.  Try it if you are having troubles

    Greetings,
I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.
    Good Luck - Cheers,
    M.
