Printing from my documents

i have adobe reader 8 and when I want to print a pdf file from my documents I get a message pop up from adobe {CAN NOT START PRINT JOB. IS PRINTER AVAILABLE?} but I can print anything from my printer like on the Internet. I thought my printer was the problem so I got a new one but I still have the same problem.

I've no idea what an FDA file. Adobe Reader is only going to be a possibility if your attachment was in PDF format. Otherwise it has no job to do.
Since Adobe Reader isn't involved, but Google Chrome and gmail are, you might have better luck in one of Google's forums. It may be working exactly as designed.

I can't select just one page number to print from a document. It prints the whole document.

If the PDF page content is an image (for text that'd by the image that any scanner provides) then it is an image that exports to Word.
Regardless, Adobe Reader cannot export PDF page content, cannot create PDF and cannot manipulate PDF page content.
Adobe Reader is a PDF viewer only.
Perhaps you have a subscription to one of Adobe's online subscription services.
(ExportPDF, PDF Pack, etc.)
Each of the online subscription services have their own dedicated user-2-user forums.
Easy find as there here in Adobe's Forums. Hmmm, just dumping somewhere means ... Ah well, won't go there. Miss Manners would not approve eh.

Some paragraph tags are not printing when document is printed from Framemaker 10.

So this is really odd. I have a situation where I have a document that I am developing in Framemaker 10 several different paragraph tags are intermittently not printing when the document is physically printed. When I go to print the document from Framemaker 10 to a physical piece of paper some tags are printing partially or not at all. What makes this stranger to me is that when I print the document to a PDF, all of the content and tags show up in the PDF. Then when I try to physically print from the PDF, the tags do no print from that document as well.
Typically the tags that are not printing are those that have been bolded, but are across several different tags. Also the problem is sometimes only to the first line of a tag, where if the tag carries over to a second line in the document, the text on the second line prints. Another quirky instance that shows up is where the text a line will print only parts of the text. The document uses the same type font for the entire document, Helvetica 55 Roman. The font size varies and the coloring varies as well, but this issue is happening for all sizes and colors.
I'm not sure what additional information is important here, but if you need additional information please request it and I will supply it to the best of my ability. I'm a content developer with an intermediate amount of experience with Framemaker.

I'm not sure if this is the same problem, and you didn't mention your
OS, but there was a widespread problem with dropped text in PDF with
Windows XP. A hotfix was issued to fix it. If on Windows XP, you should
install it:

Also, you mentioned that it was "bolded" text that tended to have the
problem. Bolded text is artificially bold and does not use actual bold
fonts. (If I recall, text is double printed at a slight offset to give
the appearance of a bold font.) So there is no bold font to embed. Be
sure you install and use an actual bold font, rather than using the
bolded characteristic, or you could see problems.
This is a stretch, but you also mentioned that some of the problem
sections have colored text. Check the printer properties of your Adobe
PDF virtual printer to make sure someone didn't reassign the driver (on
the Advanced tab). It should be set to use the Adobe PDF Converter
driver (or Acrobat Distiller in older Acrobat versions). Years ago,
people sometimes changed this setting to use other drivers for various
reasons, not realizing that they limited themselves to the capabilities
of that driver. So, if they chose an HP LaserJet PostScript driver, for
example, their documents might no longer be able to be 11"x17" or
color-- because the printer couldn't handle it. The driver was limited
to 8.5"x14" and black-and-white. Perhaps there is a driver set that is
choking on the colored text-- though I would think it would merely
convert it to B&W.

New black ink cartridge will not print from computer or glass.

Able to print from word documents, e-mails. But cannot print off from glass copy face or internet web sites.

To reset the printer, follow these steps:
While the power is on, remove the power cord from the back of the printer. Wait at least 30 seconds, then connect the power cord to the back of the printer, then turn the unit on. That will complete a power reset.
Now, missing black during printing can be a result of a couple of things. If it is only missing say when printing from Word, then the print settings within Word are set to grayscale only (or something similar) which would exclude the black cartridge. If it is from all programs, then it is either the main print settings set to grayscale only, or the printhead/cartridge is clogged up/dirty. If it is not the print settings, then create a print quality report and follow the steps in this document:

Can an officejet 4680 print from an apple ipad2

Our j4680 is connected via USB and wireless to HP desktop and laptop computers. Printing from those computers works great. However, I cannot print from our ipad2 even though it is connected to the same wireless network as the printer. Is there a way?

I understand you aren't able to print from the Ipad2.
This printer doesn't have eprint or airprint capability.

Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I see that you would like to learn how to print from your Kindle to your Envy 4501 printer.
I have included the Printing from Kindle document to walk you through the steps on how to print.
For your printer in HP Connected, what is it showing? If it indicates the printer is an Envy 4500, that is ok as the Envy 4501 is a member of the Envy 4500 series of printers. If you could post a screen shot of what HP Connected is showing that would be appreciated. If you are unsure how to add a screen shot to your post, please follow the steps in @Daniel_Potyrata‘s post titled How to take and post a screenshot on HP Support Forum. Please remember to cover up any personal information that may be showing in your HP Connected account, such as your personal email address that you log in with. My printer prints from word but nowhere else. not even directly from printer glass.

I have had this printer, Officejet Pro 8600 (Model # SNPRC-1101-01)since December 2013 with no problems until recently. Nothing has changed. No new computers, printers, change in internet servers, etc. I can print from word documents but the printer sounds like its working overtime looking for what to print. No strange noices just a lot of carriage movement. It will not print directly from the glass and the automatic feed on top of machine does not work. The print cartridges are in correctly along with plenty of the correct size of HP paper (8.5x11). I now get various messages, Error; Paper detected does not match paper size or type selected. Make sure paper size is correct to continue the job; etc. Sometimes when it does print wirelessly, the margins are off center, leaving about 2-4" blank space from papers left edge. I have tried all the obvious fixes. Shutting it down. Unplugging and letting it rest for 10 plus minutes before reconnecting to power and restarting. Turning Router off for 10 minutes before turning it back on. I even checked the settings and selected " restore to factory default settings."
Please explain in great detail what I need to do to fix my printer as I am not that tech savy.

I wonder if you have a print job stuck in the print queue? Double click the Home button and a row of recent applications should appear across the bottom of the screen. Scroll across and look for the Print Queue.

I'm trying to print an Ancestry document from an iPad 2 using air print onto a Canon 5350 (one of the printers ok'd by Apple) I am unable to change the print orientation from portrait to landscape. That is I change it in printer settings but no use.

Message- Print No pages from the document were selected to be printed

I have had this application for some time, simply never used it. Last night I tried converting a PDF file to word, unsuccessfully, I might add.
Today, whilst printing a page, my printing settings appear to have been reset because when I selected Print selected page, the following message appeared:
Print
No pages from the document were selected to be printed message
How do I reconfigure my settings to preview rather than defaulting to PDF? Kindly advise. Cheers.

I have only been able to print by exporting from iphoto. I have a new HP printer and there is software that supports photo printing ("HP photo smart") and I have been able to do it this way. On some occasions I have been able to use the iphoto>print>then preview before actually printing. There is a print option on the preview pane and that has worked on occasion...unsure why it doesn't work always. Please pass on any other hints, or let me know if this works for you!!

Thank you for being a member of the HP Support Community. I see that you would like to learn how to choose which pages print from a multi-page document.
Since you have the document in an email already it’s fairly easy to choose which pages you would like to print if you are using the HP ePrint app. I’m presuming that you have already download the HP ePrint mobile app to your iPad and added your email account to the app.
Please follow these steps after you have opened the HP ePrint app
Choose the email with the document you need to print.
Please choose the document you want to print (for my screen shot the file is titled “scan 2014_05_29 08-55-01.pdf). This will load the document with the available print options.
Please tap on “Page Range”. It will give you the options of ‘Single’ or ‘Multiple’.
If you are choosing to print just one page please choose ‘Single’ and then choose the page you would like to print.
If you are choosing to print a range of pages please choose ‘Multiple’ and then choose the page range you would like to print.
I hope this helps you print just want you need.
